That's... oddly direct for science.

"... Hm..." the youkai buster pulled out a book labeled "Youkai Threat Guide" and flipped through the pages until coming across... a few pages that look like they were newly added. This one had a crude picture of a starvia bug... Which was just a purple stag beetle since  she never seen one before and looking around a bit. "... Well, I never heard of something like this..." She answered before closing the book. "Oh well, there is no time to dwell on it, let's get going," she ordered before walking to the next one.

.... Well this was a fine mess of a tower. Hopefully it still worked-... What was up with that guy up there drawing in the winds-... "Hey! Are you stupid?! Stop absorbing the tornado!" she called out as he jumped down. "The only one dying from this is you and I won't feel bad," she retorted as she sidestepped the air propelled tackle, a ball of blue energy forming in her hand that grew to massive size before slamming it into his side, it detonating into a blue blast to send him flying back.

As Krystal's staff came down hard onto Draculard's skull, Krystal propelled herself away from the obese lizard and landed on the ground in front of him as the dragon started trophifying behind her. Not bad for someone that wasn't all that strong to begin with was it? With Draculard out of the way, and the tower finally fully activated, Krystal followed Reimu and Sea Draco out of the tower, glancing up at the growing tornado with a bit of worry crossing her face. While she didn't expect a single tower to do the trick, she expected it to slow down, at the very least.

As the group stepped outside, though, the Shadow Bugs that were being stirred up by the tornado were thrown at their feet. Krystal had never seen these things in person before, but she had heard about them in passing. She attempted to give them a wider berth, just in case contact with them had some undesirable effect. However, the spiral shaped bugs were...strange. They weren't like anything she'd ever seen before, and in the back of her mind, she wanted to give them an even wider berth then she was giving the regular Shadow Bugs. Stepping carefully, Krystal followed the other two toward next tower.

Once they arrived, they were greeted by a...strange looking face sitting atop the tower. Krystal couldn't hear exactly what he was saying, but he seemed to be watching the tornado and monitoring its progress. Regardless of what he was doing, he was in the way of them activating this tower! Readying her staff, Krystal launched the energy charge she had been holding since they'd left the first tower

Twirlenkiller looked as the first of Sea draco's plates hit him in the head, as Twirlenkiller let out a 'Hmph." in Disiniterest to sea Draco's Assault, Raising a gauntlet, as her Water Breath and Follow up plates were absorbed into the Turbines of the man with a Vacuum of Wind, Grinding the Plates up into a Mush with Sea Draco's water, as Twirlenkiller chuckled.

"Foolish little girl. To fight me is to fight the Storm!" Twirlenkiller would spout, Up until Sea Draco's Rump made immediate contact against his head, Rattling his mask a little as he shook his head...Glaring rather angrily. "...Your death will lack honor, It seems."

However, This rattling that Sea Draco provided was quite helpful, as her attack caused Mister Twirlenkiller to suddenly stumble backwards as Yin-yang Blasts and High-power Ice and Fire blasts rittled his body, as Twirlenkiller let out a 'Gagh!' of Pain, As a few Caskets of his Machinery blew, as Von Twirlenkiller, Sparking with Electricity, suddenly looked at his arms. "Y-you damned fools! You...Poisoned me?!"

...Wait, None of those attacks were poison. However, It soon became quite apparent was to what the 'Poison' He was referring to, as more and more of those Bright Blue, Twirling Orbs that Twirlenkiller absorbed, Fell from the air and suddenly encapsulated him, making him gasp in shock!

Reimu gave the strange man a funny look as he asked if they poisoned him. Yeah, you start a fight and don't think you'll get hurt-... Wait, the poison he's talking about has to be-... "Get back!" Reimu called out as she ran back a bit. "Dang, he got himself infected by those weird Starvia bugs. Be careful!" she warned before holding her hand over her face at the powerful tornado powers. Dang, she wasn't really made for enduring things like this... But she knew someone she could call upon that did know how to take punishment.

"Will you just get out of our way so we can restart this tower already?!"

As Krystal's energy attacks and the attacks of her allies made contact with the Baron, Krystal smirked. This guy seemed to go down pretty quickly, all things considered. All bluster and no bite. But as the Baron got up again, something felt....off While previously it looked like the group's attacks had knocked him out pretty quickly, he...looked no worse for the wear now! In fact there was almost a completely different aura about him now...

When the Baron let out a shriek, Krystal figured out what was going on. The strange looking Shadow Bugs that Sea Draco had found. The way that this person had looked like he was controlling the storm. His aggressive nature. It all made sense now. He wasn't controlling the storm...the storm was controlling him! "Noted, Reimu. I'm gonna try to...Woah!"

Before Krystal could finish speaking, a huge tornado formed around the group, sweeping Krystal off her feet and tossing her around in the wind. Dirt and debris flew against her body, bruising her pretty badly and quite literally ripping the air from her lungs. When the tornado finally dropped her, she was gasping for breath, trying to get her wind back as she pulled herself to her feet with her staff. And was promptly greeted with Twirlenkiller lunging toward her head!

Barely managing to roll out of the way, Krystal finally managed to get to her feet. Still very out of breath, she took a second to get her bearings before setting her sights on Twirlenkiller. Not exactly able to speak without feeling very light-headed, she foregoed the mid-battle banter, pulling a huge gun from...somewhere, and started revving it up for a few seconds, then opening fire on the Baron

Sea Draco felt the air get ripped right from her lungs as the tornado struck her dead on. The dragon getting ripped into the air before getting tossed straight down into the ground. Her wind-pipes getting caved in from the pressure. Causing her to sputter and cough as she gasped for air.

Her vision blurred somewhat as she staggered to her feet. The dragon's eyes locking on to the now infected man as she gathered up enough water into her mouth to unleash another shot. This one far more accurate as it blasted the infected man right in the face!

The dragon putting as much energy as she could into a very sharp piece of metal that she ended up grabbing by accident. The blade whizzing through the air as it launched straight into the soldier's back.

It was with Reimu's Cryomancy that jagged shards of ice impaled the Infected Baron, Slicing open the various pipes along his body , Unleashing bursts of unrestrained Air, As he crossed his Turbine Covered arms in attempt to block, But failed, as Krystals Gattling Gun ripped thriough the metallic armament on his wrists, Spraying an Abysmally Blue Infected Blood across the Tower as he slammed into it's door, repeatedly riddled and blasted with various bullets, The Fireburst grenade causing him to Slam into the sheet Metal Door, as the Infected Baron screamed out a Bloodthirsty call for death, Grabbing a loose Pipe and plugging it into his Right Turbine, Preparing another Desperation attack...

Only for Sea Draco's  Throws to suddenly stop him, The First throw cutting loose his wind pipe, The next knocking him off balance, and then the final Lead Pipe stabbing into his heart, Spraying Blue Blood along the back of the Tower, as the Baron's Turbine dropped to the ground...He pressed the trigger...


BOOM!    


A Burst of wind launched the baron backwards in a kickup of dust, Sending him flying into the door, And smashing it clean off its hinges, as he flew far back into the  control room, And further more, Slamming into the Console, To control the tower, as the infected Baron let out his death rattle...And fell limp, Slowly shining and trophifying!

A Sudden voice said, Unexpectedly, as the Tower rang to life, And Fired off its next blast against the Typhoon, Shooting it's own ring, which, when Meeting the ring's blasted from the first tower, Launched an Extra Strong blast into the Typhoon, Cutting it open much wider, But, Leaving it to be sealed closed once more...



And there Stood Crashman, Holding the Key to the Tower System, Plugged into the Machine. "Oh...H-hey." Crashman said, Waving a Drill-arm to wave at the group. "I Uh-- Was trying to activate this tower, But...O-only just got it." Crashman said, Sorta Gesturing with his Drill Arms-- Or Lack-there-of to show why the Tower hadnt been turned on till now. "And, You know. T-this crazy guy here fought with me to stop me from turning it on, and he got me...P-pretty badly." Crashman admitted, Shaking his head. "A-anyway, I think Quickman ran on ahead to the third tower, But, It should be turned on by now...If its not, He may of got hit by another Crazy." Crashman said, Walking toward Sea Draco, Reimu and Krystal. Upon closer inspection, Crashman's Body was heavily damaged, A Good side of his left cheek was torn off by Wind Damage, A large chunk of his back, and even his left arm was ripped apart.

"Im gonna head back for Repair. You guys should go on ahead."

With that, In an Orange Beam of Light, crashman warps back to Wily Fortress LI....

...In the distance, The Typhoon grows closer, The Acid rain empowering the storm dissolving and destroying many tree's that came closer to the  Tornado. As another Empowered Ring of energy hits the Tornado, It separates, as...





...A Silhouette could be seen flying through, Seen for just an instant!

"... And that takes care of that," Reimu declares, relaxing her stance as he flew back... Not immediately realizing where he just flew off to as she looked up at the tower. "Alright now we just need to turn on-..." Reimu began before the tower came to life on it's... own?... Why would you send the guy with no hands for a hands-on job? "... Well, I guess that just leaves one tower left! Then I can go home and not have to worry about a storm disturbing my na-work!"... She was about to say nap.

She looked back to the tornado... there seemed to be a figure in it now... "... Well, let's hurry and see what's up so we can finish this job," Reimu suggested as she went to head for the last tower.

With a small whrrr, Krystal's gatling gun spun down again, disappearing in flash of light as the combination of all of the trio's attacks slowly but surely whittled away at the Baron's health. Krystal smirked, satisfied at their efforts. "Well, that went easier then expected. Let's hurry and get this tower up and running!" Krystal confirmed, starting to make her way toward the entrance to the tower, before..huh? The tower just started up all by itself?

The answer to that mystery soon showed itself in the form of Crash Man. But he didn't look like he was doing great... "Probably a good idea for you to fall back. We'll meet up with Quick Man and handle things from here" Krystal said, nodding to Crash Man before he disappeared. Turning her attention to the last tower, Krystal gestured forward with her staff. "Let's get going, then. We're almost finished!"

...Did Krystal spot something moving in the storm? She couldn't be sure...maybe she was just imagining things...

Her eyes widening out of fear as she saw what looked to be a massive figure in the tornado. Her scream not even coming out due to the lack of air as she simply scrambled to stay with her two party members.

Upon approaching the Third Tower, The Group would immediately see a major problem. First and Foremost, the Tower was...On the edge of a Cliff. It appeared that, Due to the Eternal Storm tearing and ripping at the landscape, The Cliff was getting broken and torn down. The Foundation the Tower rested on wasn't very stable, But at this point, You all generally had nothing left to lose. As well, The Rain at this point has turned into a proper Acid Storm, Which burned like Hot Oil from a Pan upon touching your skin. You walk to the door, to find the door was smashed and torn open. Something made its way in first.

Entering inside the Tower to escape this hot mess of rain, The whole Array of chairs and  Desks thrown about, smashed in half and torn about. Which, It would be a bit weird if you walked in and all the furnishings had been freshly cleaned and arranged neatly, You may think to yourself as a humored thought that quickly faded away, as you hear a sharp whining upstairs. If you keep your wits about you, You can climb the stairs up fairly fine to come up to see the Control Room, The Control Console on the far side with the Large Fist-sized Key already in the slot just needing to be turned, As well as a Window overlooking the Approaching tornado. It seemed to Close now-- If this Tower didn't work, or failed for some reason, You...May be doomed. You had to put your full faith in this working.

However, It was then that The group would come upon the source of the sharp whining sounds.



A Creature was hung to the wall by the hooks on its claws. Your first notes of telling are that, One, This creature looked to be a Chimera of some kind, Between a Snake, a Lizard, and a Flying Squirrel. Secondly, It was in some severe pain, as its breathing turned heavy and whimpering. And Thirdly...The reason for its pain. It was infected, But not yet completely infected. There were Shadow Bugs hanging onto it's Sharp Fur, Seemingly injecting the Starvia right into the creatures body. Under the Softer specs of the monsters skin, you can see the Starvia is already in the Black Blood phase, its whine occasionally turning into a Coughing type of noise. It was in severe pain, But yet, Upon seeing you all, It does not immediately seem to move to attack. It more backs up, In a bid to find a deeper corner to hide in away from you all. 

You seem to have some choices. You can ignore this beast and leave it to its infection, Which, As far as you can tell is now a matter of time before it is completely taken over. You can try to relieve its pain by healing, Though, You know this only delays the inevitable, and will require some calm looks on your part (CHA Check of 14), To appear safe enough for it to trust you. Or...You can relieve it from this cruel fate before it gets worse, With Death. Its Weak and in Pain, Making now the opportune time to try and take it down. Which, As you can recall in most training to deal with starvia, Should be highly considered an option.

Krystal! With your Telepathy, You can gain the Senses of the creature. The Thoughts aren't in direct English-- This creature just doesn't have the intellect to understand that language. However, Through your thoughts, you can tell this creature understands whats attacking it it unnatural, and it wants to Live. However, It seems to recognize you are looking into it mentally, And seems to grow a trust with you. With some Mild Convincing, on a CHA Check of 10, You can convince it to Not Resist for a Mercy Kill, Or, To Leave and make way for the life sphere with what little time it has left.

As Krystal made her way toward the tower, the rain started pouring down even harder. Ducking down, Krystal felt something sting against her skin and smelt her fur starting to sizzle, and she grunted a bit in pain. This storm was getting worse, and the rain was starting to hurt! They needed to get this last tower up and running, quickly! Running to take shelter as fast as she could, Krystal noticed how eroded the cliff face under the tower looked. They better be careful, or this whole tower would crumble in the storm. Racing inside, Krystal stopped to take a breather, hardly noticing that the door was already broken down.

That is, until the whining noises reached her ears. Krystal's attention was pointed towards the wall. Clinging to the crumbling wall was some sort of...lizard...squirrel...thing. Krystal couldn't really place what this thing was, but the sharp whining noises it was making was enough for Krystal to tell that it was in immense pain. Looking closer, Krystal could spy small purple flecks dotting its fur here and there. They looked like the Shadow Bugs that they'd encountered back at the first tower. That could only mean one thing. This creature was infected, and badly. It sounded so pitiful....Krystal gripped her staff, ready to put it out of it's misery...until its thoughts started echoing into her head. She couldn't understand it straight, but she could make out that it wanted to keep living, despite it's condition. This stream of thoughts made Krystal hesitate. Should they try to get it to safety? It was already so far along in it's infection....Well, whatever they did, it probably be best to calm it down before it perceived them as a threat.

...It was no use. The creature was panicking too much for her to get a proper message out. Krystal gripped her staff again. She didn't feel great about attacking this thing, but if they didn't have a choice...

Sea Draco had barely caught sight of the how rickety the whole structure and the cliff it was settled on was. The dragon too focused on getting inside before the rain ended up burning through her skin and clothes as she rushed inside. Parts of her clothes tattered and singed as she immediately took cover. A couple of whimpers escaping her as she finally saw the state of the place, her tail drooping close to the ground as her fear from earlier started to come back in full force.

Sea Draco had to stop herself from screaming when she first saw the bizarre monster hanging from the wall. Her eyes looking over it's shuddering form, glancing at the same things that had seemingly taken over that weird man they'd fought just a few moments ago. It... it wasn't attacking them right now but... who knew how long that would last?

Sea Draco felt herself freeze up as she heard it's voice and the sheer amount of pain the beast was in. She didn't even hear Krystal's words, instead she just... took a few steps forward. The chef's hands raised as she felt a powerful twinge in her heart. This creatures, the fear it was feeling, the pain it was experiencing, it all tugged at her heart as she spoke out.

"It's gonna be okay. It's okay. We're not here to hurt ya ahright?" Sea Draco's voice seemed to almost change, a warm, southern accent replacing her normal tone as she kept making very slow steps forward. Trying to soothe the beast as she got closer before finally pointing to the door.

Sea Draco felt her heart pulse for a few moments, a gentle warmness filling her body as what looked to be steam began to gently waft off her body Some part of her hoping she could get through to the monster itself. 'Ya need to get out of here. Its gonna get a lot worse if you don't leave." She'd gently point towards the door and then off in the direction of the Life Sphere. She had no idea how Starvia actually worked but... she could only hope that this monster could maybe get some help if it went there. They could cure the Starvia right, so long as this thing wasn't infected.

Or that's what she heard at least... right now she could only hope that she managed to get through to it.

Reimu summoned ice shards upon seeing the beast. It's infection was getting pretty bad and she felt there was little course of action but to kill it before it caused a problem for them and everyone else. Still her allies seemed to be trying to... calm the beast... This was an animal, not human, Yokai... whatever Krystal was. It was dangerous for it to just enter the Life Sphere already on the verge of losing itself. There was no guarenteed it'd listen to the people that could help it.

"... Well, I am not really a fan of this personally but... We might as well make sure it can get there safely..." Reimu sighed before releasing her ice powers and creating a gap to the Life Sphere's entrance as her outfit returned to normal. "This is a shortcut. It'll only be open for a minute so use it or don't. I'm going to begin activating the tower. This storm is getting worst by the minute and I'm not sure how long this tower will hold..." she pointed to the hole in space after Sea Draco's speech before handwaving as she proceeded for the switch.

The Infected beast, Imposing as it was, Seemed to flick it's spines back at Krystal in anger, but, Slowly softened into a docile state as Sea Draco's kind words. It seems that, Dragon to Dragon, The monster seemed to nod quietly, Softly approaching Sea Draco to look into her eyes...Before it, Though with a pained initial stance, Would suddenly Jolt and run out of the Tower, Making an immediate Beeline in the direction of the Life Sphere. It moved with an intense speed, motivated as it ran for it's life for what must of been safety. While perhaps it was going to be infected somewhere along the way, with it's pace and motivation, You imagine it might make it there in time.


And as Reimu hit the Switch...


The Final Pulse from the Tower echo'd out. As the massive hurricane drew close, A Massive Rumbling began, as you felt the cliffside you rested on begin to crumble down below, as the Tower's own power was surging, making it shake even worse. The growing winds obscured the entirety of the front window, as the Window began to Crack, and then all at once, Shatter, as the roaring, raging winds swept through, Threatening to yank Reimu, Sea Draco, and Krystal all out if they didnt buckle down and hold on tight, Before the energy surging in all three towers would suddenly fire off into the Tornado!

That Vacuum feeling that was yanking on Sea Draco, Reimu and Krystal suddenly stopped and turned, as if god had hit the almighty 'reverse' switch and launched a gust of air inside to settle them back in, as the group could observe the Winds vanishing, and like the eye of the storm, everything stopped. The Tornado, all at once, Faded apart and  Vanished.

Flight will not make you immune to this.))

((However, If you pass the CON Check, You can also land on the Storm Rider's Back, to stay there and deal Melee Damage without CON Checks at all. However, This leads you close to the beast!))
