Princess Peach found herself the center of attention all of a sudden. Beset by not one but two cute fans! She beckoned them over, daintily waving a gloved hand. It wasn't too hard to spot her, being regally dressed and very tall. "Oh my. Yes, of course~!" Peach called out, unwilling to let this opportunity go to waste. She gingerly helped the girls over the stadium wall so that they could converse properly. There weren't technically any rules about leaving the stadium floor after all.


"Now let's see here..."
Peach gingerly accepted Xion's journal, peering over it and carefully popping it open to the first page, since it wasn't standard practice to sign the cover. If the first page was taken up by writing instead of like, a blank first page with just a title and stuff on it as was common in a lot of novels, she'd switch to the back of the book and use the last page. She then produced a glittery pink pen and began scribbling down her signature, which was quite large on account of being her royal title: Princess Peach Toadstool of the Mushroom Kingdom. She also listed the address of blog underneath. The one where she posted lots of photos celebrating her career as the stadium champ and generally life in the interests of empowering other girls and generally being a force of positivity. Perhaps they might even already be familiar with it, considering they were asking for her autograph. "You're both doing quite well. I especially enjoyed that wonderful hug~" Peach remarked as she worked, beaming slightly as she finished signing Xion's journal. Before she handed it back to Xion though, she noticed something ...odd in Xion's eyes. That look... It was... slightly off? She wasn't sure what to make of that, but she got the impression Xion might be feeling slightly conflicted or confused about ... something or another. She opened the book back up and quickly sketched a cute heart next to her signature, filling it in with a small message. <Life can be very difficult, but it's easier when girls support each other. If you need help standing up for yourself or fighting, an understanding ear to confide in, a place to stay, or just the love and support of your fellow woman, please come to the magical girl's society. You are not uncared for.> followed by a short address to the sisterhood's lodge. She then got up and moved to return the journal to Xion, gently pulling her into a very friendly hug, holding it for just a moment before releasing her. Before she fully released Xion, however, she placed the sweetest little kiss upon her cheek, leaving a pink lipstick mark behind.

"Would you both mind if I got a picture with you after I'm done? I'd absolutely love to post it on my blog." Peach requested. She then got to signing Paula's.... Well, this was awkward. Paula hadn't given her anything to sign! She thought about this for a moment. ...The fabric of Paula's bow looked like it might hold ink well, and her pastel pink pen would probably show up well enough on the deep red."--May I..? I promise to fix it before we're done." Peach softly requested, gingerly moving to undo Paula's bow, lightly brushing a hand through Paula's hair in an affectionate manner to fix it once she got the bow off. She then laid the bow out, and began to carefully write a small message on it. <Never settle for just being 'one of the boys'. Girls have the power to change the world! We owe it to everyone, but most especially ourselves, to try. Always listen to your heart. If your friends treasure you as I do, they'll consider themselves privileged if you allow them to listen to your heart as well.> ...She then flipped the ribbon over and began writing a second message on the other side. <I want you to know that I love you~❤ I often worry about how you're doing and how you're feeling. You are a wonderful heroine and you are always welcome at the Magical Girl's Society.> she wrote, before signing her signature: Princess Peach Toadstool of the Mushroom Kingdom. 

Peach would then delicately fix Paula's hair, tying her bow back up with a gentle, motherly touch that was careful to avoid tugging or tying uncomfortably tight. With hair as luxuriously long as hers, she had plenty of experience. She then gingerly pulled Paula into her own affectionate hug, holding it for just a moment before releasing her and placing a sweet little kiss upon her cheek, leaving a pink lipstick mark behind. She then beckoned the both of them to sit with her, guiding them to huddle in close to her sides while she took a little group photo for posting later. "--Now hurry on back down. I don't want to take up too much of the match's time." she apologetically urged.

Dedede nodded as Benny went into his tangent. He was clearly quite happy with the idea."Y'know what? I think this would be fun." he commented. He went a long way from a greedy penguin who stole a kingdom's food, huh? Now, here he is, imagining the four of the current combatants as a family...plus Kirby and Adeline. Maybe. Perhaps the pink puffball might be a bit more resistant, but Adeline was...weirdly open with a lot of what Dedede suggested. After Benny asked if they could do family things, Dedede quickly nodded. "I'm down with that! How 'bout you, Xion?" he voiced approval before questioning the robed girl beside him.

“ ...Yes, please. I'd really like that. ”

"Well, guess that's settled, then!" Dedede bolstered. "After this fight, we gonna go get some ice cream and have a family outin'!" he proclaimed. "Now...back to the matters at hand..."

Thus the fight continued. Dedede looked surprised as his hammer met a shield, but that expression was replaced with a smirk as his mighty attacks managed to break through the sudden defenses. Xion silently took note of the shield shrinking with each of her magic attacks. There was a pretty blatant visual indicator of their durability.

Once the muscular lion proclaimed 'HULK SMASH', Dedede's eyes went wide as Benny dashed towards him with the intent of grabbing him!

At the very last moment, however, Dedede managed to escape from the beastkin's attempt. The next attack, however, was coming a little too fast for him to dodge. The large penguin raised his arms in a cross as a red bubble shield enveloping him, the brutal strike hitting the barrier instead. Xion, deciding to not take any chances, performed the same technique when Paula went on the offensive.

Dismissing the shield, Dedede prepared his hammer before he noticed Benny fawning over the girls doing another thing. The penguin turned to the two, and sure enough, they were doing something. Namely, asking autographs from the infamous stadium champion. With a soft smile, he rested his hammer on the ground. "Let's wait for 'em to come back to continue." he said.

During the time they were out of the arena to get the autographs, Xion stayed quiet as Peach signed the back page of her journal. The first page was filled with a rather short story about her and a friend of hers going up a weird castle she had felt like she'd seen it before. There was even a little doodle in it! Once her irtem had been returned, she took the time to read the empowering message Peach left her with, and--oh! She was kissed on the cheek. Unlike probably how most would react, Xion lightly rubbed the area Peach's lips made contact and blinked in confusion. Why did this happen? She didn't know. Once Paula got an autograph (and kiss) of her own, Xion turned to the smaller blonde.

“ C'mon, let's go back! We shouldn't keep them waiting. ”

"-and so this freaky cultist guy starts literally swingin' his general mage gals at us and-- oh, 'ey, yer back!" Dedede said, waving at both girls. Seemed like he was telling a story. --Wait, why was a Waddle Dee on his back? "Don't worry, I'm jus' givin' the lil' fella a ride. The audience asked for it. Now though, I guess it's time to get back to battlin'! Everyone ready?" Dedede asked all the combatants, pulling his hammer out of the ground.

“ Ready! ”

(Dedede uses up an action to carry an audience member on his back!)

Once everyone said they were ready, Dedede let out a powerful warcry and ran towards the beastkin before him. "Hang tight, Waddle Dee! This is 'bout to get a lil' rowdy!" he said before leaping really high into the air and falling really fast soon afterwards...and he looked to be falling right on top of Benny!

Afterwards, the king of Dreamland leaped again, but this time in a much shorter arc, but with his hammer ready to swing and strike.

Xion, summoning her Keyblade again, stood still for a moment...before dropping her head and raising one of her arms while resting her face inside the elbow of the other arm. Twice. The daredevil.

After getting another one of those weird appeals out of the way, Xion jumped forward, as her Keyblade began charging up with that energy she used before. Hopefully this time, she could hit someone with it. As she came close to the ground, she unleashed the stunning dome of energy again.

Paula giggled as she reached the princess's seat, giving a small clap and hopping up and down for a moment. The girl clasped her hands together, leaning in as the woman's hand cast a deft flick of the wrist while signing Xion's journal. Just as graceful as the rumors said! Not that she doubted Peach for even a moment, but the sudden turn of events leading to an autograph with a celebrity was a surprise the young girl never expected. "A-AAH! Thank you very much, um, Ms. Princess Peach. I ... enjoyed the hug," Paula said, turning her gaze away, her hands now clasped behind her. In truth, she needed these moments, despite the fact this was a duel.

At this point judgements proved difficult as to whether the idea of an autograph or a picture taken with a famous lady was more exciting. Giving Xion a smile, the girl turned her attention to the princess, giving a slight bow to let her hair ribbon be signed. Blue eyes deciphered the words written on her ribbon, reading upside a handy trick for situations such as these. That, and a mental note was stored within the girl to take caution when cleaning the elongated strip of cloth. No need for the autograph to fade out. Once Peach's words were imprinted by the pen, Paula turned around to allow the woman to redo the bow.

The picture with the princess and the robed girl was aligned with a beaming smile from the PSI user. Nodding, the petite girl giggled again, "Thank you oh so very much, Princess Peach! I really appreciate all you did for us today. And ... oh, right, we should be heading back." Reaching out to grab Xion by the hand, the girl gave a swift wave to the princess as she began heading down to the arena floor, "Goodbye Ms. Princess Peach!"

"Swingin' 'em literally? Ta heckie was he oh hi girls," the lion said, giving Paula and Xion a wide grin. He pushed himself off the ground, having taking a moment to rest on his side. That short rest was needed anyways. At this point part of the man was beginning to not care about the fight anyways, granted, another part of him shuddered at the thought of not fighting. Blinking for a moment, Benny glanced at his own back and saw ... was that a moogle? The flat eyed creature with a pom pom gave a short wave, forcing the beastkin to chuckle, "Heh heh, I gots one too it looks like! Anyways yep I'm ready let's go let's go!"

(Benny also sacrifices an action to give an audience member a ride. Because these dads are both doofuses.)

"Okay, everyone be careful please," Paula nodded.

Xion's first mode of ... attack? Taunt? ... not feeling so well? It was something alright. Tilting her head, the blonde haired girl grew concerned, but shook her head as the attacks came right for her!

Despite having twirled out of the way of the energy burst, the fireball struck the poor girl as she skidded back. She was quite hurt at this point, wobbling a bit as the girl shook her head. Charging up electricity again, the PSI user unleashed two bolts of lightning at both Xion and Dedede, "Hiiiya!"

Not just that, but psionic energy surged around the girl's frying pan, which was sent hurdling towards Xion.

Grabbing her frying pan as it twirled back to her hand, a thought came to the young girl's consciousness. Her bright smile returned, looking at the other three with renewed vigor, "Oh! I learned something at Hylia's Grace the other day! It doesn't do much, but it looks really cool!" With that, the girl brought together a mass of psionic energy again, only this time she thrust her hands into the air and shot all the energy into the sky.

A quick fireworks displayed occurred, showing cutesy and chibi-style renditions of her, Benny, Xion, and Dedede's faces at the end. (Paula's last action to show off what she learned at Hylia's Grace Academy!)

Benny had it all coming at him, first the super jump from Dedede.

"Hooo boy. Ta-ta-taaat's a doozy," the lion started as he stumbled about from the stunning. His own movements were slowed, and his vision started to blurry. He was sure he did not have alcohol before starting this fight. Or anytime today for that matter. In his supposed to look drunken stupor, the lion attempted to grab grab Dedede again, twice, and slam him around. (OOC Note: I did ask about Stun and whether I can still make attacks while under its effects ... but it was super late as I wrote this and had to go to bed, so ignore these rolls if it turns out I can't attack.)

Another turn comes and goes.

PSI Thunder managed to hit both Dedede and Xion, but whereas Dedede managed to power through the shock, Xion ended up clutching her head as her vision blurred and she felt real dizzy...which led her to get a frying fan on her face again.

While Xion fell booty-first on the ground, Dedede was busy dodging Benedikt's attacks. Whilst one of them was pretty easy to read, the other one was surprisingly quick, and he got grabbed and slammed down, the Waddle Dee on his back sent flying back to the stands. He managed to break free and get back up reasonably fast, but the mildly ragged breathing was indicating he was starting to give. Xion struggled a bit more to get up than Dedede, and was breathing a bit heavily.

Okay, maybe a change of pace was gonna be necessary.

The king meandered towards Xion, and began to whisper a new course of action. "'Kay, I'm thinkin' Paula needs to be knocked out first. Dunno 'bout you, but I'm feelin' stuff's just oughta get even more dangerous if we don't act fast. We gonna 'ave to put some pressure on her, the two of us." he said. Xion looked a bit reluctant at first, but she nodded regardless. "Don't worry, we're just gonna tire 'er out so she can't fight." he whispered again, which seemed to put the black-haired at ease.

"Hahaha! Nice light show there, Paula!" Dedede said, clapping his hands respectfully at the blonde's presentation. Xion also joined in, clapping joyfully at the fireworks.

“ Yeah! It was pretty cute! ”

"I'm rating this a 10/10! Although...that ain't gonna dissuade me from attacking! Heads up!" he said, before dashing at Benny and delivering a hammer bash at the dizzy beastkin!

After that, he took a moment to leap on Benny's shoulders and jump from there, diving at Paula. "Hey, kid! Don't hold this against me, please! Sorry 'bout this!" he apologized before bringing the hammer down. After that one, he would try swinging at her. One thing to note is that Dedede was notably holding back on the power and speed of his usual swings, trying to refrain from harming Paula too badly.

Now, how 'bout Xion? While Dedede was busy going full frontal offense, Xion stood back. Huh, now that she looked at it...there was only one request left exclusively for her. To...fight with a stick. A stick?

'Roxas, that's a stick.'

With a new old memory emerging from outta nowhere, Xion tried to resist the sudden urge to chuckle a bit. Roxas was a bit silly on occasion, wasn't he? Well, might as well honor that little memory right here and now! Dismissing her Keyblade, she raised a hand to the audience and pleaded:

“ A wooden stick, please! ”
