Upon Ratatosk threatening there lives, the guards quickly dropped there weapons and stepped away from the group. "Ok, we didn't mean to like, actually attack you. We were just ordered by Garon or else he would of taken our heads." They explained as they quickly ran off from the group further down into the hallway.

"Run!" One of the guards cried out as they quickly vanished out of the group's view, once there gone Yumiko turned back to her team.

"Good job Ratatosk. Hopefully we don't have to deal with more guards while were getting to the bedroom." Yumiko hoped as she soon ran down the hallway, eventually coming across another stairway that would lead up to the higher levels of the castle. This continued to two more identical hallways before Yumiko and her group reached the top floor in the castle. Unlike the three lower hallways which didn't have any rooms to explore, this one did, albeit there was only one room on this floor.

And it just became locked too, no doubt thanks to the man that was standing in front of it.





Iago. Yumiko approached him.

"It's you, Garon's obvious evil assistant. What are you doing?" Yumiko asked as she watched Iago put over a dark seal in front of the door to Garon's room. He had just finished as he turned towards the group.



"Isn't it obvious? I've put a locked seal in front of Garon's room so you four can't go in it and finish Chiaki's part of the deal that I have created with her." Iago explained, but Yumiko became confused when he mentioned a deal.

"What deal?" She questioned Iago.



"Shortly after Hayasaka knocked out the royal children in the storage room and Garon left to do other matters. Hayasaka came to me to offer a deal, where if I trick the royal children and Garon into going into Garon's room, then she will kill them all and crown me the new King of Hoshido-Nohr, which I just did. Now all we have to do is wait until Hayasaka finishes them all off." Iago smirked as Yumiko gasped.

"No, i'm not letting you kill this royal family. You have five seconds to undo that seal!" Yumiko demanded as Iago turned and sighed.



"Well this is obviously going to turn into a fight, so I don't see what the hold up is." Iago quickly got out his spear that Chiaki had personally given to him to deal with pests like Yumiko and her new friends. It was finally time to fight Garon's evil assistant, as he jumped towards the group to begin the fight.

Iago was fast when he targeted Yumiko first seeing as how in his eyes, it was Yumiko's fault for threatening to ruin the peace that Hoshido-Nohr had, but to his shock, when it seemed he had managed to stab Yumiko in the neck, it only turned out that he had only cut a piece of her hair off as Yumiko turned to the spear by her shoulder.

"Why is it that everyone tries to go for more neck." Regardless, Yumiko moved out of the way before Iago can stab her in the neck with his spear as she prepared to fire her blasts of magic.

Just before she did, she noticed how the tip of Iago's spear was red, it must have a suspicious bit of magic on it as she turned to her group. "Be careful, don't try and let that spear touch you...I think it's lace with something." Yumiko warned.

"I guess it's our turn to fight back!" Yumiko shouted as she proceeded to fire three bursts of her powers towards Iago.

Soon after Yumiko fired her attacks, smoke quickly filled the room before it cleared to show that Yumiko's attacks hardly made a dent in Iago's armour, although there are signs to show that the maziodyne had managed to do at least some damage to him. "Well, now you all know about how powerful my attacks are. Even if he dodged them." Yumiko said as Iago laughed.



"You think your attacks will hurt me? I've been through far worse battles then this one, you all will be easy to kill, at least right after I use, my magic." Iago took out his tome. As Big applauded Ratatosk did a bit of a bow toward the two. He was joking around really as he enjoyed this kind of thing. Scaring off mortals with his power was fun but not all was well afterward as as they climbed more of the stairs they came upon the man named Iago. After announcing his evil plans to become the new King by killing the royal family this upset Emil inside of Ratatosk. 



"Ratatosk we have to stop him!" he would practically yell inside of Ratatosk's mind. 



"I know that very well Emil. We can do this!" he would say to cheer up Emil in a way.

As the first attacks were exchanged Ratatosk took notice of that spear as well. It definitely had some sort of spell on it to throw them off. 
But as the man named Iago attempted to spear Ratatosk he would attempt to dodge.

Ratatosk's eyes started to glow even more Red as he felt himself losing control of his actual self.



"What did you do you stupid mortal?!" he would ask the man named Iago as he felt his body losing control from that of his mind.

"Curse you Iago you will suffer for this!" Ratatosk drew his sword as he then prepared to attack Iago.

~ Devil's Maw: A swirling blast of dark energy surrounds Emil as it spirals upward to engulf any foes caught in the shadow like winds. Emil then strikes his blade upon the ground that causes a small earthquake as the shadows disperse which will end up hurting Emil for 6% damage and those around him thus ending the attack. However the quake also gives a 5% chance to stun his foes. [AOE DMG 25%] [WIS]

It wasn't long after the rest of the guards have been scared off by Emil that a new threat approached. All the commotion of the guards fleeing for their lives seemed to attract the attention of an even badder royal breed. Someone who didn't seem like the type to scare so easily, if at all for that matter. It seemed Yumiko tried to yet again talk the group out of a fight but it didn't seem to work this time around. This one was just too evil deep down.

Without much notice, after Yumiko's disagreement with the dark mage and the dark mage being set on killing the king and company, the mage attacked Big, Froggy, and the others in a magical rouse. The foe attacks Emil and Yumiko first. Yumiko gets lucky with the dodge, but Emil not so much! The staff from the enemy then swings Big's way and he attempts to jump as quick as his large furry stature can go, out of the way of the staff with Froggy following the leaping motion too.

To Big's surprise, his fat didn't bog him down this time. He avoided the staff attack completely. "Woo! Hey now that's not very nice feather horn lady man! How would you like it if I hit you hmmm? Your words aren't very kind either. Did you learn manners from an Eggman Etiquette Book? I would advise to stop readin!" Big was not diggin this villain one bit, he would have to strike back with a taste of their own medicine.

Before Big could think on a retaliation, he noticed after Emil was struck by the mage they were having a hard time controlling their anger and actions and began to strike their own teammates! Big did remember overhearing someone in the group mention the staff being laced with some crazy juju, maybe Emil was effected by it and all in a funk. Emil began swinging his sword and charging Big with it, and in a panic Big crosses his elbows and releases a purple bubble energy shield blocking the sword blow thinking it was the only thing he could really do in such a quick moment after reconvening from the mage's previous attack.

Big blocks the incoming sword strike from Emil: 75/75 - 28 usage cost = 47/75 Shield Capacity.

"Emil get a HOLD of yourself! Don't let evil pants over there be so evil to you!" Once the strike was finished Emil went back to attacking the enemy as if his body needed to constantly be in a raging motion of attack. Big would do best to stay away from that one for a while! They finished their attack with an earthquake like tremor which Big steered clear from making his distance with large leaps backwards well before Emil went to attack the opponent again.

Big was shown enough from the mage now at this point to merit him to want to attack and fight back. "Alright Magic Person Thingy, you've made me mad enough to get you back! You've made my friend all crazy and stuff, so now you get Big Bad Biggy Daddy!" Big pounds his chest and gets pumped for going into attack mode. Froggy makes a serious face and ribbits in a scratchy tone ready to backup his buddy. "Have a taste of Big Fishing!" Big takes out his fishing rod, conveniently placed on his back and swings it viciously at the mage causing the metal line and the sharp hook attached to it to fly at the Mage's face in a whipping motion.

Big had more damage to dish out though! "Ok Froggy, your turn! Poison that fiend!" Big grabs Froggy by the tail as Froggy ribbits in a high pitched readiness and tosses the amphibian like a missile from his shoulder to the mage with the frog's lips puckered and poison saliva dropping from them.

DEX Roll for the Froggy Poison attack at the mage p_1d20 (A decent effort as Froggy launched at a good speed towards the mage aiming to slam into the mage's cheek with some poisonous lips at the ready for 15% DMG and a 10% poison chance.)

Big then added the finale to his assault by rushing towards the mage at a high speed like a bull from a China shop with his hands in a clasped fist together going to strike the mage up close and personal like a battering ram! "I don't know what was in those doughnuts but I feel like this is gonna hurt and I got plenty of energy left if it doesn't!" Big shoves himself at the mage swinging his arms in a thrust at the mage's head.

The attack was a harshly dealt one as Big's arms go straight for the mage's cranium to get that revenge on him for hurting his friends! Whether the last attack connected or not, he was ready to snag Froggy and rush back to safety to rethink his next attack just in case with his energy at a good high right now to keep the adrenaline going through the heat of battle.

Froggy was doing it, he was going to hit Iago. This was his moment, he was going to help the team land a decent hit on Iago by poisoning him!



And Iago quickly grabbed Froggy before he had the chance to poison him, where the dark mage looked at Froggy straight in the eye. "Stupid frog. You won't amount to anything." Iago then proceeded to throw Froggy away as he jumped out of the way from Ratatosk's raving tiger attack, he then proceeded to laugh at Ratatosk for the attack.



"Ha, you call that an attack. I've seen better attacks done by professional people unlike yo---But before Iago could even finish, he was quickly rammed by Big, followed by getting hit in the nose by his fishing pole and finally followed by Ratatosk's devil's maw attack, which almost hit Yumiko in the process. Had she not quickly summoned...A bubble shield.

"Huh?" Yumiko jumped back when the devil's maw had hit her, and the bubble shield soon vanished once the attack had finished.

(Yumiko has deflected the after effects of Ratatosk's 6% damage attack.)

After dodging the attack Yumiko turned to Big, who wondered about Ratatosk's sudden change of attitude. "I think it has something to do with the staff. It's messing with his mind when he got hit by it." Yumiko explained as she approached Ratatosk, worried about him.

"Are you ok?" She asked as Iago emerged from the smoke quickly after the attacks given to him. He looked very injured thanks to Big and Ratatosk's attacks as he breathed heavily.



"Heh...You think I would go down that easily? I'm only getting started." Iago gloated, before looking at Big.



"And i'm a man, not a lady. Because of you're incompetence with telling the right gender. I'm going to kill you and your frog friend first instead of the evil Goddess!" He pointed his spear at Yumiko, who rolled her eyes.

"I'm not evil and this battle is over...Now." Yumiko stamped her leg forward as she tried to finish Iago off once and for all so the group can undo the bedroom seal.

Iago however took a step to the side as the ice blast quickly hit the wall at the end of the hall. Yumiko gasped as Iago smirked. "Nice try, now it's my turn." Iago opened his tome and summoned two dark balls, which he had thrown at Yumiko. He was originally going to aim one at Ratatosk, but seeing as how he was having trouble as is, he figured his berserk state will be his undoing.

Yumiko got out of the way from the first ball of nightmare, but when the next one was fired, she summoned her bubble shield again, much to Iago's shock. It had went past her, although it started to make dark dents on Yumiko's shield. "I have to find out more about this ability." Yumiko said to her team, regardless, Iago fire another ball of nightmares, this time at Big.

"That's it, time to end this." Yumiko decided to fire a maziodyne shot in an attempt to stop Iago once and for all.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!" Iago screamed out loud as the maziodyne finally defeated him as he was sent flying back to the end of the hall, bashing his head on the same spot that he was rammed into it from Big's attack. He was dying, but not dead yet as Yumiko approached him, wanting to know how to undo the seal.

"I think that will do it. Hopefully he will tell us about how to undo the seal in the bedroom." Yumiko told her team as she approached Iago...

However, Ratatosk would soon hear a voice in his head, one that was not of Emil, but of someone else from earlier from the mission.



"Hello...Can you hear me?" Whispered Azura in Ratatosk's mind.



"This is Azura...Me and my siblings are in the bedroom trapped if you couldn't tell from the seal that Iago has made. We are alright and are not harmed, although we can't find Chiaki or our father anywhere. I can sense that Iago has given you a curse during what I presume to be a battle against him, you are possibly filled with rage." Azura guessed Ratatosk's status.



"I don't have much time, but before we lost contact with each other for a brief period. I can sing you a song that will help curse this rage." Azura proceeded to sing the song.



Once she had finished, her voice soon ceased from within Ratatosk's mind, and Ratatosk would feel less, berserk now thanks to her song.

Rage. Burn it down. Kill all and everything. These were the thoughts that ran through Ratatosk's mind as he tried to restrain himself from hurting the others. The ensuing battle he paid no mind but Iago seemed to be defeated within moments after he was caught in Iago's spell. This pain it was severe. Making his crimson red eyes cry out in pain as he wanted to end it all and just get rid of it. 



"Ratatosk?" a voice in his head would call to him. 



"I c..can't. I need to kill! The pain won't stop!" he would say to his other as if he could not really hear them.



"Ratatosk wake up!" the voice would call out to him once more but in a serious manner. 



"I must die to feel nothing anymore! I will not let my friends suffer!" 

Suddenly as Emil's cries did nothing another voice entered his mind telling him of Iago's spell and how she could cure it. 

A soft melody was sang to Ratatosk as his woes and pain melted away and his crimson red eyes would no longer glow in hatred and pain. They were calm and somewhat sad. 

"I..." he paused before looking at Big the Cat and Yumiko. "I am sorry for attacking you Big...." he would say as he regained his mind back and his thoughts were clear enough for him to hear Emil again. 



"Are you alright Ratatosk?" Emil would ask him in concern. 



"I do not know. This is the weakest I have ever felt before. Suffering to control my actions and a desire to kill those around me. I do not want to feel this sort of pain ever again." 

Ratatosk would admit as he saw Iago on the ground and near death. "Damn him. If he wasn't already near death I would punch him a few times to wake him up." 



Ratatosk would sheathe his sword before looking to the group again. "That woman with the light blue hair contacted me earlier before breaking my curse. Azure I think her name was but she said that the rest of the royal children are safe and sound but they cannot find Chiaki or their father anywhere."

"So what should we do now?" he would ask the others as he started to sound more like himself.

Despite Big's onslaught of moves and all that energy he used up against the meanie face mage, the mage was still standing strong, but at least was somewhat hurt by Big's attempt at offense. What made the situation worse for Big was the mage grabbing poor Froggy and chucking him through the air like a darned fruit cake to a dumpster. Froggy went ribbiting in distress zooming through the air and crashing into a nearby wall in the hall causing a small hole in the wall's material.

But not before being called useless. Big's face turned white and horrified as his pal was thrown aside like dirt. The cat ran faster than he had ever ran before to check on Froggy and knelt beside his amphibious friend. Froggy was breathing and seemed a bit woozy, but he was ok. Big picked Froggy up and cradled him in his arms which seemed to comfort and sooth Froggy.

"Are you ok buddy!?! Talk to me!" Froggy nuzzled in Big's hands and gave a warm, slow croak, giving the signal that he was alright. Big pet Froggy across his back a few times, and put his buddy back on his shoulders.

His face then grew fit with rage and he pounded his fists together cracking his knuckles ready to strike the mage again in a great fury. "NOBODY HURTS MY BEST FRIEND AND GETS AWAY WITH IT!" Big then began charging the mage again with his massive bulk prepping for another attack while the mage was being bombarded by the other team members moves, but the mage was quick and succinct when it came to fighting groups, and went in for the attack before Big could land a hit, already taking care of his friends assaults and going to give Big another run for his money. Big tries to dodge while he has the adrenaline flowing.

Big gets struck hard by the dark orb that the mage shot at him for a large 30% damage input. Big and Froggy are stopped in their tracks during their running motion and go flying into the same wall Froggy crashed into creating an even bigger crater in the wall and nearly knocking it down! The thought of fear began to enter Big and Froggy's minds as their bodies began to tremble on the ground and shake with terror. They began to grow clammy and sweaty and tried to stand but found it difficult.

"Why...are you...so...MEEAAAANNN!?!" Big couldn't manage any more words than that out of his mouth. He found his legs moving on their own, and quickly, fleeing from the mage after the attack with Froggy clinging to Big's fur tightly also scared out of his mind. But luckily it only lasted a few seconds after Yumiko jumped in to continue her attack on the mage, finishing them off with a more powerful magic causing the mage to collapse.

Before Big disappeared into the darkness of the cold castle halls with Froggy fleeing away from the scene, the ailment ceased upon the mage's defeat and Big and Froggy shook off the fear pausing where they were. "Oh thank goodness! We almost went into that sketchy super spooky darkness of this long and questionably never ending hallway of death. I am so glad that nasty mage was done for!" Froggy gives a quick croak in relief and the two of them immediately turn back around and job over to their team.

They stop in front of Yumiko and the defeated mage and look on at the mage in disgust. "I hope you learned a lesson you sinister slime ball!" Froggy trails off Big's comment and gives an evil glare and sticks his tongue out at the defeated foe. Afterwards, Emil was done with their angry tangent and apologized to Big for their actions against him, which ofcourse Big forgave as it was in his nature to.

"You're forgiven my friend!" Big then hugs Emil with his vintage squeeze of his large arms and Froggy happily hops onto Emil's shoulder giving him a quick nuzzle, then returns to Big. Big quickly releases the hug unsure if Emil liked to be touched, and awaits the next move. "Even though we are a little bit winded, me and Froggy are ready to move forward wherever we gotta go to stop this curse thing!" Big made it clear that he was determined to complete this mission, even with more potential danger on the way.

Yumiko was relieved to see that her team was alright after what Iago had done to them. "It's great that you three are alright." Yumiko smiled, before hearing a hissing sound coming from the end of the hallway. She turned and realised that the group still had to deal with Iago.

Who had a purple aura coming out of him as Yumiko approached hastily. "That aura, what is that?" Yumiko asked Iago as he began to speak his dying breaths.



"I'm dying. Of course, not the way a human should. I'm dying the way Miss Hayasaka wanted me to die, and it will effect everyone here too eventually...Except of course, not you four. Once you wake her up, everyone, including the people will vanish too." Iago coughed for the last time, before going limp as he soon vanished into thin air from the group.

Yumiko took in what he said, and made her wonder, and worry for something as she turned towards the bedroom door. The seal that Iago has cast had also vanished, allowing the group to enter the bedroom and reunite with the royal children as Yumiko approached it. "We continue into the bedroom, and hopefully we could find out about Hayasaka-san and Garon's whereabouts." Yumiko told Ratatosk as she entered the bedroom.

Where the rest of the royal children were waiting for the group.





"Golly, you four are alright. We were worried that Iago may have done something bad to you guys!" Elise said out loud as Azura smiled, happy to see that Ratatosk is alright.



"Yes, unfortunately, despite saying that Hayasaka and Garon were here, they are not anymore. There unfortunately gone. I Apologise. I could of done something..." Leo played with his hair as Yumiko smiled to him.

"It's alright, you were trapped here with the rest of your siblings." Yumiko looked around the room. Come to think of it, there was no bed in Garon's bedroom either. The room only had a carpet that everyone was currently standing on, a mirror and a closet. Yumiko and the Royal Children began to look around in the room, hoping to find anything that would lead the group to Chiaki or Garon.

"We can't give up just yet. I can still sense Hayasaka-san nearby." Yumiko revealed to the group, meaning that the two of them just had to be nearby, but where?

"Well that Iago guy really got on my nerves. He should be thankful that I did not need to resort to my best attack." he would gloat as he basically returned to normal.
As Iago's body faded away he gave a warning that shook Ratatosk a little but acting tough he would pretend like it would not affect him. "You don't scare me with your tricks!" he would say before opening the door to see the royal children safe and sound. "Ah so Azure was correct you lot are unharmed." giving Ratatosk a rare smile as he then looked over to the others. "So what now?" he would ask then hear Leo whine again that he could not do anything. 

In a rare showing of compassion Ratatosk walked up to Leo right there. "Do not think of what you could have done but instead act on what you can do right now. Grow strong Leo and make this old god proud." he would say before closing his eyes and straightening his posture. "I need to rest. Emil will be having his body back now." he would say as he then opened his eyes and they were emerald green again.

Emil was back and he looked back at them with a smile. "So where should we head to now Miss Yumiko? Any ideas Mister Big and Sir Froggy?" he gave them all little titles out of respect but was only doing so because he was not as brave and forward as Ratatosk was but this meant Emil was truly back.

After all that heated battling and hatred being exuded from the mage, Big and Froggy watch as the magician vanishes to nothingness. What did they really accomplish by fighting? It was an unfortunate ending for a lost soul. "Sometimes, even for the really evil dudes and dudettes...I still feel sad to see them waste their potential like that. I mean, why do people do what they do? Why do monsters exist? Is Li flat or round? Why waste your life committing murders and crimes? Hurting others just for karma to get you in the end. These things we will never know..." Big sighs. Froggy sighs as well in sync with his purple pal.

Big heard his team speaking on what to do next, with the general consensus of the next step seeming to be to head to the royal bedroom of the castle where the main threat could be dwelling. Then Emil directed a question to Big for him and Froggy's take on where to go from here. Big grinned widely, as did Froggy, at the attention Emil was giving them calling them Miser and Sir. Such formalities excited them.

"Mister? SIR!?! OH BOY YOU ARE TOO NICE TO US MASTER EMIL, OH GREAT GOD MAN! WE ARE UNWORTHY!" Once again Big and Froggy bow to Emil out of nervousness, unsure how to act when given such complimenting terms from Emil. After his brief appreciation to Emil, Big gives an actual answer to Emil that was better than a fan boy praise.

"If I was gonna be honest here Master Emil, I would say Yumiko's suggestion of just pushing through to that room is good. We should hurry and charge through to stop this curse sooner rather than later and save the royal family before they become evil things of evil." Big didn't want to think of the possible consequences of failing this mission and being defeated. The team had to succeed or else this castle could be lost to dark forces indefinitely or even worse, overrun by Infected armies to the point where extermination and purging of the place may prove nearly impossible later on.

He would assume the rest of the team would agree fully with that notion and be as focused as they could to get that victory over the darkness dwelling here to save those poor victims that this curse has taken so far. There was no telling for sure what lied in that room and how difficult it would be to overcome, but together, with the right tactics and the proper morale, Big was confident they would defy those odds.

"This world is round like every world Big." Yumiko said before she entered the room, but not before giving Big an answer as to why bad guys...Do the things they do, all the while ignoring what Ratatosk was saying about how Iago deserved the fate that he received.

"Whatever he may be, he was still a person. A real person with a real mind, and every mind is different Big. We can't have them all be super good. There will always be people who will want to destroy the world, take over it, cause the apocalypse or kill three people to resurrect themselves." Yumiko sounded oddly specific in the last example as she entered the bedroom and together her and everyone else began their search for Garon and Chaiki, who had to be nearby.



Leo smiled at Ratatosk. "Thank you...I am strong, and I will be even stronger once we all get out together by breaking the curse." Leo felt reassured of himself, and it was thanks to everyone that was around him.



Azura looked at Ratatosk and smiled. "Yes, although it is Azura. I am glad to see that you and your group is safe. Now we should try and inspect the objects around this room in an attempt to find Hayasaka, Felicia and Father." Azura said, pointing around the room.

Yumiko was sure that the two were nearby somewhere and that was when she tripped on the carpet in the room, drawing the attention of the Royal Children as Yumiko looked at the carpet. "Everyone...I can sense Hayasaka-san coming from under this carpet." Yumiko revealed. She had to be under the carpet, although the royal children were confused.



"What do you mean. It's not possible, we would see her figure by now, unless she's using a spell?" Xander theorised, but Yumiko had another theory.

"No, the only explanation there can be is if the carpet is hiding...A door." Yumiko pulled the carpet forward to reveal what was under it to the group...

A cellar door, which Yumiko soon opened as it was unlocked. When she did, there was a dark abyss that the group gazed in, as Yumiko looked back at everyone.

"Yeah, I can definitely sense Hayasaka-san coming from this room that the cellar leads us too, which means that Garon and the kidnapped girl must also be in this room." Yumiko looked at everyone in the bedroom.

"Is everyone ready to end the curse once and for all?" Yumiko asked, the Royal children nodded.

Emil would look down at Big and Froggy as they praised him once again for seemingly no reason. He could take a guess though that it was because he was a god. Not really something he felt like revealing but Yumiko gave him no choice when she asked him it. "I don't deserve your praise..." he would repeat as he began thinking back to what Yumiko said as Ratatosk may have been wrong about Iago. Sure he was evil but he was still a person and that mattered. "Another life taken because of my foolishness..." Emil would look down in regret as he admitted that he killed someone before. Then again it was his other half that did so not him.



Still it was painful to think about killing Aster and now someone evil which they had no choice but to do so. He killed plenty of monsters before but another person? That was only once. Taken from his thoughts he heard Yumiko say something about the person they were looking for under the rug of the room they were in. It was also quite perplexing what Yumiko mentioned earlier about the sacrifices but he would not bother to ask her about that.



"You mean there is a hidden door under this floor?" he would basically repeat the answer Yumiko gave them. "Y...yeah lets end this curse once and for all." Emil was still troubled about what they had to do to Iago but Ratatosk would try to reassure him in his mind.

"Emil.. You should not feel regret for the enemy. Doing so for a bit is fine but too much of it will hold you back when you have to fight again. Get stronger like Leo." he would simply say before Emil would nod his head in response to Yumiko. "Right lets go!" he would say as he got ready to press onward.

Big was given words of encouragement and reassurance from Yumiko that struck a positive chord with him. He places a hand on his heart in thanks and sincerity from her words. He starts getting into a more amped and prepared mindset to confront the one behind all this madness. As he heard the others in the area speak about the next steps and how ready they also were, it only added to the team morale as a whole.

Then there was a mention of the carpet moving and a trap door below. Big looks down which prompts Froggy to scan the floor as well and try and find where the movement was coming from and going to. Perhaps it was a scare tactic from the one responsible for the curse in the castle to throw the team for a loop. Big was not going to fall for it. He then heard Emil speak in a sorrowful tone and slightly get down on himself for that previous battle. Big gave him some encouragement.

"What matters most, Master Emil, is that you're a GOOD person. And I want you to know I see that. And you should see that in yourself too. Sometimes there are things we can't prevent. Yumiko is correct. Not everyone can be saved or convinced of the good. This planet is a living beast. We are in its domain, and we share it with its kin and its enemies alike. What we are about to face underneath us, I'm sure, will be another result we may not want, but we may have to accept." As the carpet continues to move Big gets into a braced and defensive position.

"Now, let's get under this place and stop the ruckus!" Froggy leaps with a ribbit agreeing with his furry pal. The two this time, were not going to hold back and try to talk the enemy into being on their side, it was pretty clear at this point that persuasion to be good, was going to be a lost cause. They accepted the fate of the enemy, and they unfortunately were going to be a part of their kismet. This ending well on both sides was unlikely.

Yumiko nodded. "We all made mistakes Emil, some of which we can never forget, but to a person, they did what they had to." Yumiko said before looking down at the Cellar.

"Now let's do this." Yumiko proceeded to jump into the next room. Hopefully the final room that the group will have to go into this cursed castle, she was followed by the rest of the royal children jumping in after Yumiko as they looked around, the room was dark, although there was light here and there.



"Be on your guard, for all we know Hayasaka-san could be hidden in one of the shadows." Yumiko told the group, before they heard someone groaning nearby, which Elise recognised.



"That groaning, it sounds like..." The group turned towards the sound of the groaning, and saw someone lying on the ground.



"It's Felicia!" Xander said, Felicia the Hoshido-Nohr Maid was resting inside a blue sphere, fast asleep as the group looked at the sphere.

"That sphere, she must be trapped in their and causing her to be asleep. We have to remove it in order to wake her." Yumiko said to the group, only for someone else to call out to them.



"No, you can't wake her!" Garon shouted as the group turned towards him. He was also trapped in a sphere, although that one was red and it appeared to be hurting him. As he tried his best to look at the group, although he was flinching in pain.



"Father!" Leo said as he tried to tend to him, only for another voice to stop him.





"Stop moving."

Out of the shadows, in her boots was Chiaki Hayasaka, who looked at the group with the same emotionless expression that she always had and from what the group saw of her from Verius vision. She seemed like she was unaffected with what she was doing to Garon and Felicia as Yumiko and the royal children prepared for her worst.

"Hayasaka-san, let them go. Felicia doesn't deserve what you're doing to her!" Yumiko demanded as Chiaki laughed at the girl.



"Well if it isn't the reincarnation of Izanami No Mikoto. I knew the moment you entered my lawful kingdom that you were related to her in some way, shape or form, and it saddens me that you don't see my vision of what I want to do to this castle and beyond...Izanami would." Chiaki crossed her arms as Yumiko shrugged.

"Your vision is to strip people's free will away so they can bend to you're will, and that's more like a nightmare then a paradise world that you so called dreamed of." Yumiko pointed out as Chiaki smiled.



"Exactly, dreams...Because this entire illusion is based on that maid's dream." Chiaki pointed to Felicia, as Yumiko looked down, closed her eyes and sighed.

"I knew it, I knew this place had something to do with dreams one way or another. I didn't want to think about it...Until now." Yumiko crossed her arms as Leo looked at her, confused.

He touched her shoulder as he looked at her.



"What...Do you mean?" Leo asked as Chiaki sighed at him.



"You don't know? You really are not the brightest of Garon's kids huh? I've placed your maid over there into a sleeping curse which causes her dreams to come to life. In this case, she dreamed that the kingdoms of Nohr and Hoshido, who in the real world were at war into one kingdom that has been unified peacefully and without bloodshed, and both royal family's ended up merging into one. Hence why you're former enemies are now your step-siblings. Didn't you know that? I thought that Maid did give you backstories in her dream." Chiaki revealed to the children...

There was silence from within the room as Xander looked down.



"Shirasagi-chan, if you knew this...Does that mean if we wake Felicia, then not only will the illusion end and this castle will go back to the way it is...But...We too will vanish and just become...Figments of Felicia's dreams again?" Xander turned to Yumiko, who after a few seconds of silence, soon looked up to him.

"I'm afraid, i'm afraid that will most likely happen." Yumiko revealed, the group remained quiet over what to do as Chiaki tried to convince them.



"You don't have to go back into her dreams you know, you can just turn back and play you're parts peacefully. Of course, this does mean that you will have to be stripped of your free will like you're father here and support me as your true queen of this kingdom, and eventually, we will spread and turn this world outside the kingdom into a perfect world. Just think, you can finally go outside, and live in a world where you won't have to worry about turning into those purple freaks outside. You don't have to act like you're caged up inside of your own kingdom anymore." Chiaki tried to convince the royal children to side with her.

But Yumiko refused.

"No! Even if you take over this planet I would never let someone like you be in charge Hayasaka-san. You rule by fear and you kill those that are weak or are not as powerful as you. You would make this planet worse then i've already seen of it so far if someone like you rules it!" Yumiko then turned towards the children.

"Everyone, I know this is a tough situation, but do you really want to lose you're free will and keep up this false reality forever? Do you really think she would make a great Queen?" Yumiko pointed to Chiaki, who slowly grew angry.



Leo stood in front of Xander. "Shirasagi-chan is right. Even if we vanish, we can't let Hayasaka-san rule this planet!" Leo stood beside Yumiko and looked at Chaiki.

Who was not impressed at the royal children.



"Heh...I kind of expected weak people like you would not work by my side...Oh well, I don't need people like you to rule over this Maid's dream." Chiaki soon teleport from behind the group.

And to where Hinoka was, where one of Chiaki's arm quickly mutated into something more...Demonic.

"Your all just canon fodder, and canon fodder needs to vanish!"

The group turned and watched in horror as Chiaki quickly smashed her hand right through Hinoka's stomach, who slowly looked down...As Chiaki lifted her arm up and in the process Hinoka too as she threw her corpse towards a nearby wall, causing blood to splash onto it as the group looked at Hinoka's corpse.



"NO!" Garon cried out in pain.

"H-H-HINOKA!" Elise cried out with tears in her eyes as Yumiko clasped her hands to her mouth.

"Oh my god...You killed her!" Yumiko turned towards Chiaki, who smiled as she began to transform into one of her forms.

This battle won't be as difficult as when I had to fight an old friend of mine and his weird white haired uncle...Dante, something something." Chiaki proceeded to summon three balls of light which she fired at Yumiko, Big and Emil once she teleport back in front of the group. She also summoned a large one towards the royal children as well.



"LOOK OUT!" Xander cried out as they got out of the way, while Yumiko tried to dodge her light ball.

Takumi tried to shoot at Chiaki before the ball hit him...But it was too late and he screamed in pain as he was hit by the ball while Xander, Azura, Elise & Leo tried to get out of the way.

Yumiko quickly used her bubble shield to stop Chiaki's ball from hitting her, but it was strong enough to almost destroy her shield and she was sent back a few feet and fell to the ground as she noticed the cracks in her shield. "My shield!?" Yumiko was confused as she quickly got up and looked at Chiaki. She was still in one piece at least.

And she was ready to fire back.

"Is everyone alright, please, be alright!?" Yumiko frantically asked her teammates before looking back at Chiaki.

"I'm surprised that you dodged that. It can easily roast someone as weak like that blonde girl." Chiaki didn't even know Azura or Elise's names, nor would she care. They would all be dead soon anyway as Yumiko prepared for her attacks.

"Your a monster for killing Hinoka & Takumi. They didn't deserve to die, nobody did if you executed countless innocent people before we came here!" Yumiko told Chiaki who laughed.

"The weak people you mean, who aren't real anyway." Chiaki said. Yumiko responded by firing her attacks at Chiaki.

Chiaki was hit by all of Yumiko's attacks as she cried out in pain before hitting a nearby wall as Yumiko breathed heavily from the attacks. Chiaki was still standing however as Yumiko turned towards Big and Emil. "Guys, i'm going to try and save Garon and check on everyone else. Try and distract Hayasaka-san until then." Yumiko told the two as she quickly raced to find Xander, Leo, Azura and Elise before she should check on Garon while Chiaki breathed heavily towards Emil and Big.

"You two, i'll kill the two of you next!" Chiaki proclaimed, aiming her demonic arm at the two.

Yumiko and Big had a point really. He was a good person and he knew that but it still felt wrong that he had to do this constantly over the course of his adventure. But it was no time for pouting either! Ratatosk was correct as well. As he shouldn't mourn the enemy for too long as that can hinder yourself and your allies.

Emil would close his eyes in thought before opening them with a determined look on his face. "Courage is the Magic that turns Dreams into Reality!" he would say more out loud than to himself. It was a way to get him ready for the battle to come. Though his allies could very well hear him when he said it. As he pressed onward down into the basement like area that was this dark room.



"I can hardly see a thing in here." Emil would whine a bit before hearing a small groaning coming from the room. "Hello?" he would ask as he heard it. Felicia was the maid that made that groaning noise but as they approached her the King known as Garon stopped them. He was in one of those orbs as well but this time it was red instead of blue like the one that Felicia was in. But before they knew it the woman in Verius's vision was here and she was emotionless as usual.

She seemed to have a history with Yumiko though as she knew that she was a reincarnation of a goddess which was not common knowledge to anyone really. Emil glared at the woman known as Chiaki as she spoke of taking over the world and weeding out the weak but one fact was something that Emil had no expected. They were in a dream?! "That's not possible is it?" Emil would ask before realizing all too late that the her words were truthful despite her evil intentions.



The room was silent as most would wonder why their lives were all meaningless. Had their entire livelihood been a lie? That was likely what they were all thinking right now but Emil would try to think of a way to make this work. Chiaki would try to convince the royal children to stray from the path of ending this once and for all. But surprisingly it was Leo who stood up to her which made Ratatosk smile inwardly. "Way to go kid." he would say inside of Emil's mind.

But before anyone else could notice Chiaki turned her arm into something more demonic and would teleport behind the group. That was when bad would turn into worse as Chiaki just sliced the young blonde girl Hinoka through the back! "No! Hinoka!!!" Emil would cry out in painful desperation. "She...killed...her....." Sudden pain and anger welled up inside of Emil. He couldn't unleash Ratatosk on her, not yet, but he had to do something! "Y...You!! You monster!!" Emil would draw his sword in anger but also fierce determination. "I won't let you get away with this!!!" Emil said as he began to charge at Chiaki. But before he could do anything else she would teleport in front of the group again and unleash giant orbs of light at the group.

As all the attacks Yumiko had landed on Chiaki she announced to the others that she would check on the others so they would need to distract Chiaki for the time being. "Right! Leave it to us!"


"Fiend Fusion!" Emil would cry out as a dark aura rose up around Emil that lifted up rocks using wind that clung to the aura.


~Uses Fiend Fusion to gain +2 in Constituiton and Dexterity for 2 turns. Temporary Boost in Constitution gives Emil 20 more health and 10 more shield! Emil will be more agile and be able to dodge attacks easier as well!

"Not if we can stop you first!" Emil was filled with rage at this point as he readied his sword and charged at her.

Now that Emil seemed to be a bit more cheery and in the right mind for battle and focus, the group was able to move forward with the task at hand as Yumiko lead them to a dark basement that had the word creepy all over it. As the group proceeded into the area the first sight was of two glowing orbs that somewhat lit a portion of the room containing two of the royal family members.

Before the team had proper time to walk over to the orbs and inspect, the culprit behind the grand scheme of things showed herself. She explained the orbs were to imprison the royal members, red to hurt the king, and blue to keep the other asleep. This was torture in its worst form. The culprit went on to talk and explain many more different things and reasons behind their actions as if trying to justify themselves in some sadistic way using a type of dream magic of some sort to make things a horrid reality.

They wanted to mold their own world that would have little benefit to anyone other than power and control for the minority group of the sick and twisted. It would make Li much worse if anything than it already was. Big didn't need to live in an even hotter and scarier version of hell on the planet. He got bits and pieces of her schpeal, not everything but most of the important stuff he understood. And it was all bad.

Out of pure evil in a moment of random chaos, the crazed woman murdered the innocent girl that tagged along with the group in seconds flat. Big jumped back in a sickening panic as his jaw drops and the hairs on his head stand straight up. Froggy's skin gets goosebumps and he croaks in fear. Pools of blood splash the room and a nightmare unfolds. Shortly after that murder, the foe transforms into a demonic spirit of some kind and goes right to attacking the group!

Big prepares to side step to safety as a large ball of light hurls him and Froggy's way. Froggy clasps Big's shoulder to hang tight as he moves!

Big gets the full impact of the ball forcing him back several feet as he digs his sandals into the basement floor to keep some sort of traction. His bulk and fur helped keep him from tumbling completely backwards. Froggy held on tight enough to not fly off Big as well. The pain was a harsh one as Big lets out an exasperated huff with a scorch mark now freshly on the crest of his stomach.

Despite that harsh hit, Big was going to still have the energy to fight back and hit hard. He was going to avenge that poor girl's death and stop this disaster! "You know what they say about murderers.....they deserve no mercy! And you have crossed a line with me there licorice face!" Big pounds his chest taunting the foe and readying his retaliation. "First, let's freshen up!" Big reaches into a tuft of his fur and pulls out a handful of sardines rife with oil all over its skins. He rubs the oily fish on himself allowing for quicker and looser movement, and then gobbles up the handful of fish in seconds. Froggy has a bit or two as well.

Big has activated Fishy Freshness. He heals himself for 10% HP and adds +4 DEX for 3 turns.

"Ahhh that feels much better! Now that I got a bit of my oomph back, let's get your face smashed up ok?" Big takes his fishing rod from his back and shoves it into the basement floor making a hole in the wood and props the rod steadily into the ground. He then hooks the fishing hook from the rod to his belt and rolls up into a ball. His body then begins to grind into the floor quicker and quicker until he revs himself up into a saw blade motion and begins to set himself on fire.

He then rolls around the fishing pole several times at a high speed and flings his burning body at the enemy aiming for slamming his mass into her face hole!

Once Big was done launching himself at the enemy he anchors himself back to a neutral position clutching his fingers into the ground below him to get him straightened out again stopping his pin ball effect. His body stops burning and he stands up back to his feet. Froggy hops back on Big's shoulders and ribbits nudging his pal that he wanted a piece of the action. Big nods. "Alright Froggy, give her a good piece of what you can do!" Big grabs Froggy by the tail and tosses him at the evil lady with a mighty chucking motion.

FROGGY WAS BEING THROWN SO FAST IT NEARLY VANISHED INTO HYPER SPACE! The little amphibian went darting like a rocket right into the face of the enemy with its lil lips puckered with a deadly coat of poison. It would be a miracle if the foe dodged it, or perhaps they decide to shield in which case Big hopes Froggy's mighty impact would be enough to break it. Once Froggy would hopefully hit its mark, Big was at the ready to swipe his little friend up again immediately after such an attack.
