Thanatos didn't answer, but Phosphora still heard a voice coming from the stands. Was that Arle?. Phosphora appreciated the support, and made a mental note to go see her between innings. Thanatos, meanwhile, let loose his pitch, but it was a rather pathetic looking shot.

A sharp 'Crack!' rang out throughout the stadium as Phosphora's bat nailed the baseball and sent it into the outfield. "If you were so eager to get another shot at me, you would have thrown a better pitch" Phosphora taunted before zipping off toward first, leaving a cloud of dust in her wake.

Zelda dashed across the field in a hustle, her cheeks slightly reddened by the effort she was putting into this. She hoped she didn't look ...too...awful... sprinting across the field. It felt like she wasn't going to catch the ball, though! Zelda could see it. She could tell where it was going to land. And in a moment of unbridled desire, she dove for it.

...Zelda slid across the astroturf, only for the ball to bounce off of the tip of her glove. The princess looked slightly distraught by her failure, picking up the ball and standing back up. Though she stood defeated, her job was not done. She threw the ball to second base so that the second baseman could try and get Sakura out!


Meanwhile, Arle cheered Phosphora on for narrowly managing to reach first base! Hopefully she'd get home too. She could be seen waving from where she stood in the stands. "Tell 'em, Phosphora~" 1d20+1

Sakura took to make her move in a second after Phosphora hit the ball and made her dash to second base, watching Zelda try to catch the ball and it bounce off the tip of her glove, allowing the Samurai Girl to get to second base.

Hey, did anyone notice anyone missing? A rather dank looking adventurer, perhaps? There was a large crater in the field where she was once standing. Somehow, not even the crowd seemed to be sure what had just happened. It had happened so fast that even those who had seen it had no clue what had caused Audrey's disappearance. A group of workers was promptly out on the field, looking around and plugging the hole up. They weren't able to find any trace of their missing player, which meant...

"...Arle, I need to go. You'll be alright here without me, right?" Blue asked. Arle gave her a bewildered look in response. "...Huh? Are you going to play for the Lords of Shadow?" she asked in mild disbelief. "That's the idea." Blue replied. "...Since when do you avoid attention?" Arle asked, questioning whether Blue belonged on a team that had 'stealth' and 'shadows' as its only requirements. "Exactly!" Blue replied with a wink, playfully silencing Arle's reply by feigning a bit of clumsiness and bumping Arle with her hip as she got up. She then marched on down and hopped into the field, briefly approaching death and playfully flirting with him in a rather goofy manner as she passed. "I love your pearly whites. Mind if I stick around and play ball~?" Blue asked. "Just as long as I don't pitch. I wouldn't want to steal the spotlight from Li's very own ton of fun~" Blue went on to remark, trusting that no one would object to a dainty girly girl staying off the pitching mound. Leave defying gender roles to the girls with sideburns. ...And muscles. There's probably a correlation, but mostly that latter thing.

Meanwhile, a tiny girl stepped up to bat for Tough Love! Valorie marched up to the plate in her fashionably feminine mini dress uniform and struck a flattering pose with the bat. It looked like she was modeling for someone, but it wasn't clear who. The crowd, maybe? She cracked a delicately painted eye and smiled rather knowingly at Thanatos. Like she knew something he didn't. With a simple gesture, she pointed the bat up into the sky. She was calling for a home run! "Think you can strike me out just because you're big, tough guy~?" Valorie asked rather pointedly, slipping into position.

Now it was Midna's turn to encourage Zelda as the ball just slipped past her glove. "It's alright Zelda. You'll get it next time" Midna offered, reversing the roles of the last pitch. Reaching out her hand/hair, Midna helped Zelda to her feet so she could throw the ball back to Thanatos. She also noted the pointed absence of the remarks that had rang out last time. "Audrey?" Midna asked, only to be silenced by the crater where Audrey had been standing. What had happened to her? Midna shook her head, trying to focus on the game. Hopefully it would turn around soon.

“Well excuse me, I’ve had other business to attend to.” Thanatos pouted in a huff. “With all that’s going on in this world, I barely have time to be here playing baseball with all my new friends~ Let alone rolling back and forth across on Final Destination.” Which, by the way, was one of his favourite movies. “Remember, what doesn’t kill you, into a false sense of security~.” Deep down it annoyed Thanatos that he was just pitching and not waiting at a base so that he could trip her up and break her neck in the process. But just like taxes, he had a reputation of reliability to uphold so he remained steadfast at his post. “Well, well, well honey! Don’t stop you~!” Next up to the plate came a layer of makeup that could hide a reaper’s skull. “The way you swing them, it’s a waste that you’re not batting with those hips!” Thanatos flattered in the sincerest way he could: by transforming into and imitating her. “I’m sure you’re familiar with the idiom of being big, but you know what else they say: The smaller they are…” Thanatos turned into a big Grecian baseball catapult., “…the less likely they’ll be missed.”

Valorie drew in a sharp breath and just kinda went wide eyed as she watched Thanatos transform into ... her. Valorie nearly jumped, glancing down at herself with a start! Please no, please no, please no!! ...Her gaze settled on her own petite yet feminine figure. Huh? She looked up in confusion, only for the ball to sail past her!

Valorie wildly swung at the air an entire second after the bal had already passed, an awkwawrd and ineffectively clumsy swing fit for a grade A nerd. Man, she wasn't doing much to dispel gender stereotypes in sports out there. Thank goodness Raffina and Phosphora had already done that for her. Recovering her composure, Valorie leered slightly. Thanatos had tricked her into thinking she was getting body swapped again! It had startled her so badly she'd messed up her entire hit! She wouldn't let that happen again if she could help it. "Don't throw balls at my fanny! That hurts!" Valorie replied, entirely dismisssive of the idea. Had he even heard how hard those balls hit the bats? He might as well be throwing rocks if she was going to use her body! "I can't garauntee they won't see some action on the field, though~" Valorie went on to remark rather playfully, smirking knowingly at her own choice of words. Who would suspect what she had in mind? All she needed was an excuse to get mad~ ...Or not! That worked too.1d20+2·1d20+0

Thanatos had to cover his giant mouth with his glove to hide his giggles at Valorie’s expense. “Hoo-hoo~! Don’t swing too hard now Honey, you might break a nail~.” Thanatos cooed innocently tiddling his long nails at her. “Which in addition to being painful, could also spell serious permanent damage to your fingers. And if left untreated immediately could lead to an infection, culminating in your death of Sepsis.” Thanatos summarized the consequences. “In other words, Swing for the Fences, Baby!”

Valorie just kinda stood there and modeled on the plate, completely ignoring the ball this time as it sailed past the plate off-center. She seemed unimpressed."...You could've just said breaking a nail hurts." Valorie replied rather flatly. She really didn't need to hear all that extra stuff to avoid breaking her nails. The pain was a perfectly good detterant on its own. "Thanks Zelda~" Valorie chirped in a sing-song voice, flashing Zelda an appreciative smile before slipping back into a batting stance.

Realizing that Valorie was doing this to avoid a strike and force a ball Zelda whistled in applause.

"You can thank our mommas for that~" Valorie sassily remarked, passing a good-natured wink at Zelda accompanied by a playful swing of her hips in Zelda's general direction. "And our big sisters. They gave us a cause, their wisdom early and something to keep on living for~!" Valorie remarked with a very strong note of passion in her voice. It might become obvious why she had been chosen to lead Tough Love in Peach's absense. She might not be the strongest fighter or the best parental figure, but the ideals of the sisterhood were clearly something she held close to her heart. As she finished, she twisted forward and threw her weight into a swing!

Midna's attempts at playing the outfield didn't seem to be getting any better. She not only missed the ball, but she floated in the complete opposite direction. Maybe she wasn't cut out for working the outfield. Perhaps it was time to move inward. She picked up the ball, but instead of throwing it, she started floating to the infield. 

"Hey, blubber boy!" Midna yelled toward the pitcher's mound, and to Thanatos. "Time for you to get off the pitcher's mound. I'm pitching now!" Floating toward the pitchers mound and more or less forcing Thanatos off the mound, she held the ball ready in her hair, waiting for the others on the bases to make their move.

“Mmm~? Oho, thank you Impa~!” Thanatos hooted in relief, tossing in another friendly nickname. The whole inflection of it sounded to be different than when he addressed the other team. It was nice to have friends for a change and his disposition made it clear he appreciated that. “All this consecutive throwing’s left me with dead arm syndrome~!” He sighed, wiping his brow only for his throwing arm to fall off. After waiting with an eager smile for laughter and applause that never came, Thanatos floated up field to take up Midna’s post, his hand fingering along behind him. Thanatos turned into a big Grecian baseball catapult., “I've always fancied myself more of a catcher anyway. Hoohoo~!”

Midna assumed the pitcher’s mound just in time to find the next batter for Tough Love stepping up to the plate. She was considerably taller than the last blonde modelling in the uniform.
It was Zelda--the other Zelda. The one that wasn’t a princess. She might as well have been, given the air of dignity and grace about her. At the same time, her smile as she picked up the bat and got into stance said she here for fun.

Deep down she was a little disappointed that she missed the chance to engage in witty banter with the corpse clown, closer to the surface, she was relieved.

“Princess of Twilight, pitch to your hearts content. I’m ready.” Zelda announced with a new serious stare. Seeing her team mates awaiting on the bases behind Midna, Zelda had a lot riding on her swing.

Like with when Phosphora hit the ball, Sakura would cautiously make her move by way of ensuring that nobody could try to get her out and she hastily hoofed it over to Third Base.

One could also see that somebody with Purple hair in the dugout, practicing her Swing with the baseball bat, her aim slightly off despite appearances and ironically the crowds were confused as to whether or not the girl was a Gerudo, sadly for them, Shantae wasn't.

Phosphora started charging herself up to run to second, but in doing so left herself wide open as Midna threw the ball to second, tagging her out. As her teammate threw the ball back to her, Midna turned and threw it across the field to try and tag Sakura out as well.

Unfortunately, Sakura was just a little faster then Midna's through, and stayed safe. Midna shrugged her shoulders. At least she got someone out, unlike Mr. Bloat over there. Readying herself up for the pitch, Midna heard something...off the batter's comment

"Do I know you? How did you know about my lineage?" Midna asked Zelda. Even thought she had never seen Zelda before, there was a distinct feeling of kinship with her. Maybe this was part of her Zelda's royal family that had popped up while they were at Zant's dinner party? Making a note to ask her about this later, Midna made her pitch.
