Rotom gave a staticky chuckle at Purple's mistranslation of what his Ninjask was saying but did not correct him. The ghost type seemed to find some humor in the bug-type's envy of the Possessed Pokedex. Robin was sympathetic to Clucky but did not have anything to really say to cheer him up as he continued leading the group down the path him and Rotom took. As they went further down, the earthy natures of the cave started turning into gray bricks and stone achetecture as they reached a room inside the cave that seemed to be a dead end for the moment.

"(... This room was open before too)," Robin noted as it seemed someone was trying to prevent them from returning to Moon. "Alright, looks like we have a puzzle here guys..." Rotom evaluated as he looked around the room. It was lined with evenly spaced apart torches to light the room up. On the right hand side were 3 Knight Statues with empty hands. On the left were 2 cases, one containing two swords and a sheathe, and one containing a Sword and Shield. In the center of the cases was a box on a pedestal. "... Okay, so we give the items in these cases to the knights and the path should open. This should be easy. Robin, you can pick the locks, right?" Robin gave a nod to Rotom's idea, agreeing that seems the likely mechanism. "Good, then open them qui-... Oh, almost missed that. Hey, Ninjask Dex, should you tell them or me?" Rotom realized and asked Nintenda with... a smug grin on the Pokedex screen. Was... The Rotom Dex challenging her to relay the information he found to the humans?

Well, if Nintenda checked the cases, one gave an entry of 680, the other 681, and the box contained... 442.

Nokia would continue walking down the Cave, Seeming to nervously look behind her, as Gabumon was quite happily sauntering about, Riding his High of success as Nokia shivered. "This place is so cold...Couldnt these ghosts invest in some central heating?" She would ask, as They suddenly came into a much finer looking room! Wait a moment...Nokia would stop, running back out and in , Looking in shock. "Hey! Who the heck is changing around the architecture?" Nokia would ask, noting how the cave suddenly looked like some kind of house!


Nokia looked at the group of Weaponless Knight statue's, Nodding to the Rotom Dex. "Yup, Sounds like the right idea! Makes more sense than the usual Red Code in the Red Spot!" Nokia said, smiling wide as she said something that would probably not make sense to anyone not of the digital worlds. Regardless, Nokia would watch Robin start unlocking the box before them, as Nokia seemed to rock her feet back and forth in wait. "Doo doo dooo..."

Without much else to look at in the darkness, Purple’s eyes drifted to Nokia jogging in front of him. He couldn’t help but notice that even from this angle she looked cold. Plus, she confirmed it by saying so out loud. He wasn’t a big fan of cold either at all, but luckily for him, he had his hoodie to keep himself warm. Whenever his hoodie wasn’t enough, however, he’d have the natural warmth of his Blaziken to keep him nice and toasty. Perhaps it’d be a good time to share, so he turned and signalled to the Pokémon walking behind him to spare some warmth.

Turning back around, Purple found that the natural cave walls were… made of brick now? Who builds a dead end like this?
“Maybe a Hiker or a Ruin Maniac… or a Muddy Boy.” Purple answered Nokia’s question with a shrug, listing the kinds of people he’d suspect to build a house in a cave.
“A puzzle? We love puzzles, don’t we girl?” Purple smiled at Nintenda, decidedly unfazed by the dead-end.
(Agreed, Master.) The Ninjask agreed, squinting at Rotom as if to say, ‘Challenge Accepted.’
She hovered over to the cases and inspected each of them thoroughly. She found that each box gave an entry of 680, 681, and 442.
“Ninjask” She promptly signalled Purple to come over. “What’s up Bug?” He asked, promptly doing so.
(Master, upon thorough inspection of these three containers, I have found what is 80% likely to be the combination necessary to unlock them.) Knowing full well she couldn’t phonetically pronounce that she found the codes, she tapped each case and then the box.
“We have to drum on the boxes?” She shook her head No and made opening motions with her arms. “We gotta open the boxes?” She nodded Yes. “Okay, Poké.” He bent to the lock to do so… “…How do we do that? That’s the puzzle isn’t it.”
Nintenda began gesturing to herself. “You know how?” She nodded yes and began to use X-Scisor. Not on the box, but over each box. Her arms lighting up in the process and leaving trails behind their motion. She was rapidly making glowing shapes darkness.

But what could that possibly mean? Nintenda those are letters, not numbers! How could Purple possibly-
“...Six hundred and eighty?” Purple guessed. Apparently, he could read roman numerals. Nintenda nodded Yes.
“Okay Robin the first box’s key is 6-8-0!” He told the Decidueye. “What’s the next one, girl?”

“Six hundred and eighty again?”

“Six hundred and eighty-One?” She nodded yes.
“And the next box is 6-8-1!” He relayed to Robin. “And does the box have a code?”
She nodded yes and proceeded: ‘C’ ‘D’ ‘X’ ‘L’ ‘I’ ‘I’
“Okay Robin, the last one is 4-4-2.” Purple handed the Decidueye the last number as Nintenda folded her arms as if to say, ‘In your face.’


As Nokia rocked back and forth on her feet, she’d rock back and bump into a large matras of a pillow covered in shaggy yellow fur. If she turned around and looked up, she’d find the doofy bill of a Ludicolo smiling down at her.
“Ludicolo.” Kappineapple winked contnetly, happy to provide her with warmth she needed for the rest of the mission.
(Hey hey! what are you doing, Pineapple?) Clucky butted in, trying to push the him off her.
(The hot momma’s chilly, and the Captain’s providing heat.~) Kappineapple pushed back and pushed himself back onto Nokia. (What's it look like I'm doing?)
(Purple asked Me to keep her warm.) The Blaziken pushed again and pulled on Nokia this time. (I’m the Fire type, remember?)
(You Snooze-You Lose, Drumstick.) The Ludicolo scoffed, pulling on Nokia’s other arm. (Besides, Shelter from the elements is the Captain’s job anyway.)
(Shelter from Rain is your job, you big fat umbrella!) Clucky reminded him, pulling on Nokia’s first arm again. (Shelter from the Cold is Mine!)

Robin watched the Rotom Dex for a moment as if wondering what the automated Pokedex was thinking and what kind of plan or scheme they had. He was a bit of a playful type but how did he possibly expect Ninjask to convey... whatever he noticed to the others? It seemed like she had both the combinations and had a fairly interesting way of telling her trainer what she wanted him to know. On top of that, he understand the weird letters as numbers. He looked to Rotom's grin displaying on the screen before nodding and heading to the containers in turn. The hooded owl put in the combination for each and they easily opened up one after the other. Looks like this puzzle has been solved!

Robin's head turned to the arguing Pokemon next to Nokia, arguing over who will keep her warm... What a time to be bickering amongst theirselves, oh well, this puzzle was solved anyway. "Impressive job! That was really creative. Maybe you're not so bad of an encyclopedia after-... Look out-Bzzzzzzt!" Rotom stopped short of his compliment to Nintenda before any snide remarks could be made as he seemed to tune out for a second. The Pokedex then attempted to tackle the bug out of the way as the swords attempted to slash at the insect, revealing themselves to be possessed, and slashing the Pokedex, thankfully it was decently durable as the mark hurt the Rotom a bit but they were still functioning, albeit staticky a bit. Robin's head turned back to the weapons just in time to get a nasty blow from the Sword and Shield, the two weapon sets revealing themselves to be Pokemon, Douedge and Aegislash.

Out of the box rose a Keystone that started to form a swirl of dark spirits above it as it lit up. Apparently this puzzle was also a trap. "YoU fOOls! yOu hAVe AWakeNED uS! NoW yOu shALL pERish!" The Spiritomb threatened as the swords floated near the Keystone in a battle stance, looking right clear these evil spirits will not take pacifism as an answer. It's words went to the humans and Digimon just as well as the Pokemon, the Evil Spirits seeming to be an universal language.

Nokia would smile happily upon seeing the Puzzle quite easily Solved! See the power of standing around being cute at work, Ladies and Gents. Gabumon would slap his Muzzle in a Face-palm like action of how Nokia was happily cheering, despite having done nothing. Cheerleaders werent really in demand, Nokia, Dear.




"Hehe, Great work guys!" Nokia would cheerfully say....Until Striking a Cute Pose that seemed to involve plenty of Backwards Elbows, Trying to Prod the scary duck man out of her personal space! Poor Cappin'. Well, that was, Until Nokia would feel her arms getting grabbed! "W-woah!! Hey, Hey, Lemme goo!!" Nokia would shine, Kicking her legs as she was tugged around like a Toy! "I dont have any digimeat!! Aahhh, Help, help! Purple, your monsters  are begging me for food!!!" Nokia would yell, as Agumon hopped from her phone, Tugging on Cappin's Legs.

"Yeah, Let go!! Agu Agumon (Cheese Tortilla's) or whatever!!" Agumon would tell in plead as suddenly, This tug of war was cut short by the sight of...Swords and a spinning plate on a Stone. Gabumon, Feeling the Rush after taking care of the Boolossus earlier, Stepped forward for yet another rabblerousin' fight, as he would Run up to the Keystone housing Spiritomb and Delivering a Physical hit by slamming his Claw on it from overhead!

Following This, Gabumon suddenly took a deep breath and Blasted the Key Stone with a shot of his Trademark Ability! "Blue Blaster!"

Suddenly running over,  Gabumon would stop by Robin, and with a deep breath, Would suddenly Surround Robin in a Blue Fire! However, This flame would surround Robin;'s Arrows, And not hurt at all. Seems like it was quite a usefull addition! "Blue Enbuken! If you attack, Now It'll freeze!"

(Robin has obtained Blue Enbuken! Any moves using his arrows will now have a 30% Freeze Chance for 2 Turns!)

And lo and behold, Robin got the chests open. “Good job, Nintenda!” Purple congratulated his Ninjask with a high five. “Not a puzzle on the planet you can’t solve.” He praised her with a proud pet on the black spot of her head. If only he could be as proud of his other two.

“Blaziken!” Clucky growled, tugging Nokia to his side. “Ludicolo!” Kappineapple quacked, doing the same, noticing the Digimon pulling his leg now. (See? Even Agumon wants my warmth! He says I’m just like a cheese tortilla.~)
Nokia’s shines of distress immediately caught Purple’s attention. “But I already fed them this-Hey!” He turned around to find them fighting over her. “Guys! What are you doing?! That’s not what I asked you to do!” He flusteredly rushed to shoo them off Nokia. “Get off her! Down boys!”
Ever following orders, to a competitive extent, they finally let go of Nokia.
“Aw man, I am So sorry miss Shiramine!” Purple embarrassedly apologized on behalf of his Pokémon. “These two -Binacle Heads!- didn’t hurt you, did they?” He desperately pleaded, quickly shooting a glare at each of them.
(He started it.) They both pouted, letting go of Nokia and turning their beaks up in the opposite directions. (He wouldn’t let it end!)

Before Purple could complete his excuse and apology, the swords they unlocked unsheathed themselves and struck.
(Rotom!) Nintenda buzzed in alarm, returning the favour by grabbing the staticky Pokédex and flying him over to Purple for safety. The trainer who at the moment was cowering from the voice in Clucky’s arms who in turn was cowering in Kappineapples. (Oh sure, now You want my warmth too?)


(Master! It appears that in our endeavours to solve the puzzle, we have emancipated a #680 Doublade, #681 Aegislash, and a justifiably imprisoned #442 Spiritomb! …whom, quite unfairly, possesses the ability to speak English as well.)
“Robin!” Purple squirmed out of his Blaziken’s grasp to go help the slammed Decidueye. “Guys, it’s battle time.” He encouraged them to take Gabumon’s example.
“Blaziken!” Clucky agreed. “Oh. Right boy, in you go.” Purple remembered, opening his pokéball for him. But Clucky refused. “Huh? Y-you mean you Want to fight?”
“Blaziken.” Clucky explained, pointing at Doublade and Aegislash. “Oh right, they’re Steel Types! That means they’re weak to Fighting And Fire!” The trainer understood. “Alright then Clucky, you’re up!”
(In actuality, master: the typing shared between #680 Doublade and #681 Aegislash render them both-) Nintenda began to explain before being shushed by Kappineapple.

“Better strike while the iron’s hot, but first you gotta get it hot! Clucky use Ember!” The trainer commanded his Pokémon.

Midboss Fight, Spiritomb and his Ghastly Blades

The Crush Nail Gabumon used went right through the collection of spirits that made up Spiritomb and almost appeared to have no effect. That is until a pained look appeared on the Pokemon's face as the attack struck their Keystone. Curse this vial prison keeping them held captive. They was too distracted by the keystone's blow to prepare for Gabumon's next attack which froze them instantly. Robin shook his head as Purple and his Pokemon gathered near him, a blue flame enchanting his quelled arrows... Grass Types weren't fond of neither fire nor the cold but perhaps being armed with these could be helpful.

"BZZZZZT. Nic-zzzzzz... catch th-zzzzzz... The goods are-zzzzzz... poor shape-zzzzzz... Help-zzzzzz?" The face on Rotom was staticky as he looked up at Nintenda. On top of that the electronic voice kept breaking in and out as it seemed the slash cut fairly deep. If anyone here wanted to take a crack at fixing the Pokedex, Rotom could get back to functioning properly. Probably only best if you are confident in what you are doing though since a wrong move could damage the Rotom Dex further.

(Everyone! The Rotom Dex is in bad shape! You may try rolling Intelligence to try and repair it. A 12+ will be enough to fix it, however an 18+ will critically fix it, making it function better. On the down side, a 5 or under will damage it worst, raising all requirements by 2. 6-11 will result in nothing. Every attempt costs an action and you may only try more than once if you roll between 6-11.)  

Robin got to his feet and walked to Clucky's side. He did not feel confident messing with technology like the Rotom Dex. The Doublade managed to evade the Ember, though his comrade sword got hit and there was a burn on the blade. The Spiritomb rose back from the Keystone as Clucky melted the demonic spirits and burned them a small bit. "MWAHAHAHAHA! WE RISE AGAIN! NOW YOU SHALL KNOW TRUE FEAR!" The Spiritomb released a dark orb of fire in the air that vanished nearly instantly. Nothing seeming to happen at first... Until Clucky and Gabumon would suddenly feel a dark force try to take over their minds and inflict sheer terror upon them both.

(Gabumon and Clucky! Roll a 14 or higher in INT to resist the Dark Pulse! Failure results in 20% mental damage and being inflicted with Horrified!)

Robin ran up to the Spiritomb while it was distracted trying to inflict fear on his comrades and slashed through the spirits with a blue blazing arrow. He then jumped back from the rising slash, taking to the skies, still clearly being a flying ghost as he put the arrow on his vine and pulled back before launching the freezing lit arrow right into the keystone. However it did not seem to freeze the evil spirits this time. Doublade has decided his prey at this time and flew at Clucky, it's blades glowed a bright green before one of them slashed with a green trail at the firey chicken, however the other blade soon followed!

(Clucky! Roll a 12 or higher in DEX to evade each Fury Cutter from the Doublade! Failure in either by itself will inflict 12% damage. However, if you get hit by the first one, even if you block, the 2nd one will do double the damage for 24%!)

The Aegislash meanwhile... just kind of floated there... meanacingly... He did not seem to have any intention on attacking this turn.

Nokia, Upon being free'd, woukld simply laugh it off, rubbing the back of her head with her hoodie sleeve as Gabumon would look back, Twitchy brows at Nokia for laughing while he's fightin' them ghosts. Nokia would just ignore that, Shh, She's talkin' to boys. very important. "Nahhh, Its fine, Happens all the time! I just need my arms free to tell Gabbie what to do!" Nokia would say, Then preparing to deliver some critical commands to Gabumon...Until noticing The Rotomdex looking a little bit Buggy. Oh Jeez!

Well, Given Nokia was one of those tech savvy girls, Nokia would take hold of the Rotom dex, peering into it for a moment before deciding the best course of action on how to get it fixed...!

With a Nod, Nokia would suddenly take out a Bobby pin from her hair, turning the Rotomdex Over, and putting it into a small hole to cause a Reboot to help repair it! Hey, Works for most computers, right? Nokia would let Rotom Reboot, before smiling and letting it go. "There! Okay Gabumon, whats going--"

Gabumon, Attack The Sword! The Single Sword! Its standing around, it must be preparing something!" Nokia would say...Wow, What excellent Strategy, your highness. Regardless, Gabumon would Run at Aegislash, Opening its mouth as its Teeth glew a bright blue! "ICE FANG!"

(#549 Rotom Pokedex? What is the status of your functionality?) Nitenda asked Rotom with worry in her voice. Inspecting the Plasma Pokémon, Nintenda was distressed by the results.
(The laceration in your pericarp has caused major damage to your inner circuitry!) She reported in alarm. What to do what to do? To conduct proper reparations required 10 fingers and opposable thumbs. She surely couldn’t trust Purple with repairing a device this complex. She was the one who repaired broken devices for him. Perhaps consulting Nokia was a better option. She did seem to be well versed with the machinations of her electric ‘Digimon.’

Nintenda promptly delivered the Rotom Pokedex to Nokia. And much to her relief, she managed to fix him up nearly good as new.
“Ninjask!” Nintenda thanked Nokia in relief before turning to Rotom. (#549 Rotom Pokedex, What is the status of your functionality?)

“Robin! Are you alright?” Purple asked the Decidueye, ready to offer another berry to heal him. A shake of Robin’s head, not to mention the blue flame enchanting his arrows, were enough to say yes he was.
Clucky welcomed Robin to his side as an ally in this fight. A Ghost type on your side against Ghost type opponents could really come in handy. Fire already came in handy, but not handy enough.
And the Spiritomb fought fire with fire. Black fire that… did nothing?

…!
Nope that wasn’t nothing. Clucky suddenly felt a dark force try to invade and take over his mind.

“Zik!” Clucky bawled, collapsing onto his knees. He couldn’t do it. The anxiety, the sheer terror, it was too much. “Blaziken…” Clucky cried, curling into a foetal position. He was so used to punching and kicking his problems, an enemy he couldn’t hit physically was more than he was prepared to handle. That’s what it used to be, but it became so much worse. Absolute darkness, pure cold, utter emptiness. Clucky couldn’t cope with such bleak hopelessness. Who knew what exactly Clucky saw in the black void, but one could be sure it was not something he’d want to relive enough to describe it.

“Look out!”
His mental suffering was matched with physical suffering as Clucky could not react nor dodge Doublade’s

“Clucky!” Purple cried out to his bird. “What did you do to him?” He angrily demanded of the Spiritomb. “I’m sorry buddy.” He sulked, recalling his Blaziken back into his pokéball.
“You’re going to pay for that!” Purple swore to the Spiritomb. “Kappin! Collect the debt with Nature Power!”

Tapping into the natural spookiness of Evershade Valley, Kappineapple. Turned around and stood still un responsively.
“Kappin?”
He stood still until the room felt empty even with him in it. The Doublade could sense a power growing… Till they would least expect it. Then without warning, the Ludicolo snapped around and screamed a blast of psychic ghost energy straight at them!
