“Nobody wants-a to fight-a the Great Mighty Poo.” Luigi answered Gon’s protest in agreement. “That’s-a what Plumbers are-a for!” He proudly reminded him of his duty.

Luigi couldn’t have been prouder of his interns. In a third of the time any one of them could do alone, they managed to unclog the all the main pipes leading to and from the Central Purification System. This severed the Great Mighty Poo’s tether to his pool as well as his influence over the system. Now the waste water could freely flow from the septic tank through the rest of purification system. Even the Great Mighty Poo it would quickly realize it was in deeper trouble than it thought.

“Fin qui tutto bene!” Luigi praised the temporary plumbers. “We've-a managed to clear all-of-the coarsely clogged-a pipeses in-a no time!”
“Now alla- we've-a got-a to do is switch the system back on-a and we can flush-a this…” Luigi went to switch the system back on when his plumbers eye caught a multitude of problems. All that time spent being clogged and straining against itself severely damaged the main pumps and rotors.
“Oho no! We can’t-a turn this back on like-a this!” Luigi protested. “It’ll just-a go kablooey as soon as-a we do!”
“We’re-a gonna have to fix-a these mechanisms first.” Luigi decided, replacing his plunger with his monkey wrench. “Sure that-a sounds like-a a lotta work, but I'm-a sure we can-a do this just-a as easily!”

As clear as the pipes were now, the operating music only got louder and to a faster tempo. Luigi tried his best to ignore the singing, as catchy as it was getting. He proceeded to lead his team more directly as to what parts were damaged and needed to be removed. Almost as if conducting a 3-man plumbing orchestra-darn it with the music.

And get it done fast they did. Ryu’s lightning reflexes and Gon passionate will power to not fight a giant pile of poo drove the disassembly job to quick completion.
Perhaps Luigi made a pretty good plumbing mentor after all.

“Bravisimo! You two are-a so fast, you might-a even give me and-a Mario a run for our-a coins!” Luigi cheered as he knocked fresh new parts out of yet another item box.
“Now all-a we gotta do is bang-a these parts into-a place and-a it’s arrivederci escrementi!”

Ryu had managed to dodge the poo punch. God, he wanted to Hadoken that thing off the orbit so badly now...however, fixing the purification system was his best bet (for now, at least). With that in mind, he focused his thoughts, imbuing his fists with electrical energy.

The Street Fighter grabbed his hammer and returned to work...

Ryu saw the fecal matter trying to punch him, however he raised his fists in a X, creating a white shield that enveloped him, absorbing the blow in his stead. "An attempt worth a small compliment, however I fear that this has sealed your fate." the Street Fighter said before grabbing his hammer and whacking in the new parts once again.

Yes, he did have a vehement desire to Hadoken it out of the orbit, but if the Purification System could do the job...

With a final mighty bang clang and pow from Ryu’s and Gon’s hammers, the Central Purification System was repaired and restored as good as the day it was installed.
Wasting not another beat, Luigi threw the switch on with all his plumberly might.
“The show’s-a over!”

Almost as soon as the system came back on, the oom-pah music turned off.
Even the Great Mighty Poo stared in a horrified silence as the machines came back to life.
The resurrected gears and motors once more began to crank and breathe just like they used to.
This rhythmic grind was music to Luigi’s ears, the Central Purification System had begun to sing its very own song.

This cued great mighty doom for the Great Mighty Poo. The machines began to pump and suck the water from its basin and in turn, the Great Mighty Poo itself with it.


“Arrgh!”

♫ “You cursed plumbers!” ♫
♫ “I'm flushing!” ♫
♫ “Look what you’ve done!” ♫
♫ “Oh what a world!” ♫

Belting his final swan song, the last of the once Great Mighty Poo was flushed into the Central Purification System.
Deep within its bowels, the singing dookie was broken down, distilled, disinfected and doubtlessly destroyed.
And as if to punctuate the Great Mighty Poo’s defeat, the pipes belched up a few more notes.

And much to everyone’s surprise, out of the filtered pool, sprang a bright yellow light, as a shiny trinket splashed out of the water and floated over our heroes to be collected.

“That feels-a so nice.” Luigi sighed in relief as he wiped his brow. “You know-a what? I’m a let you-a two do the honors.
You’ve-a earned it.” Luigi proudly allowed Ryu and Gon to collect the Shine Sprite.
((Whoever rolls highest gets to collect the Shine Sprite. Not that it matters, you still gotta give it to Luigi anyway. He’s the head plumber after all.))

The music had stopped. In it’s place, there was silence. Whilst many would classify that silence as nothing special, to Ryu, that silence had a bliss heavily similar to the ones he experienced after many battles. After so many punches, kicks, objects and projectiles, one fighter would go down and everything would become silent. The street fighter felt all of his progress pour down into a satisfying result, and it was almost no different here (the only difference is that he was plumbing and not fighting, of course).

Ignoring the Poo’s swan song, Ryu couldn’t help but to cross his arms and close his eyes. He maintained his normal expression as wind blew dramatically from behind. It was his traditional victory pose. As the wanderer eventually stopped posing, a Shine Sprite had appeared out of the water, floating next to everyone. Luigi had decided to let the two ‘do the honors’. Which honors? To fetch the shiny trinket?

However, Ryu could not turn back a particular trait of his: humility. "I thank you for the offer, Luigi, but I feel that is highly unfair that I do the honors. After all, this was a team effort. I couldn't have done this without you or Gon. You two can have that."

Gon looked at the flushing monster, sighing in exhaustion as he tightened his mask to his face, looking at the shiny trinket that followed after the Great Mighty Poo's defeat. "...You sure thats clean?" Gon asked, blinking in surprise before seeing Ryu say he wouldn't go grab it due to the team effort of the group...Oh, so were just gonna leave the ninja to look like a jerk? Gon sighed, before reaching up for the Shine Sprite.

Gon hoped up, grabbing the shine sprite and landing over by Ryu. "Alright, aaaaaaand strike-a-pose!" Gon said, Trying to strike a happy victory pose, holding the shine sprite by Ryu, hoping he and luigi would join in with them.1d20

Luigi gleefully joined Gon and Ryu in victory posing. Initially presenting a V for Victory sign with his hand, Luigi changed his mind to pointing two fingers at the Shine Sprite like two pistols instead. Not feeling that one he switched to rubbing his nose with his finger, a Japanese sign for bravery, but his finger smelled awful so he hid his face to gag about it, realizing he ruined the moment he looked back with shocked horror on his face. Luigi froze up and stood at the tips of his toes, before losing balance and falling onto his stomach. The moment was officially over and Luigi could only bashfully kick the ground upon standing up again.

“Okidoki boys, I’m-a think our work-a down here is-a done.” Luigi dusted his hands and proudly led his interns back up the stairs. The new pipe they installed earlier was waiting patiently for their return.

“And-a Now… Ninjis and-a Gentleman… The momento we’ve all been-a waiting-a for!”
To test the water now, Luigi opened the pipe by enthusiastically turning the handle. Overestimating how widely open the pipe needed to be, he wound up dousing himself, Ryu and Gon with water, effectively washing them of whatever lingering influence the boss had on their appearance and smell.

“Gaglurbaribiblblubblr!”

Scrambling against the stream to close the pipe again, Luigi managed to squeeze the gushing torrent into a manageable flow. It was crystal clear, shimmering sparkling, Clean Water!
“Yahay! It’s-a squeaky clean now!” Luigi cheered filling a glass with it so he could show it off. “Go-ahead, try it!”

Ryu made a different victory pose for the 'group shot', which was to raise his fist up in the air, smiling all the while. After he was done with that, he followed Luigi upstairs to the pipe they had installed. He was waiting to see if the work they did paid off, and it sure did... by being blasted with water. Thank goodness it was clean. The Street Fighter, despite being wet to the bone, shrugged it off. "Well, I guess I had today's bath." Ryu offhandedly commented.

Of course, after that little incident, the water was now under control. The green plumber insisted for them to try the water out, and sure enough, Ryu did so. He brought his hands together, getting a hold of a bit of water. He nonchalantly drank a bit of it. "...Pretty good." the wanderer complimented.

Gon looked at himself, now covered in water and felt rather clean over it. "Huh...Hey, this actually works. Cool." Gon said, kind of reminiscing over how training under a water fall made him feel from time to time. "And hey, looks like its clean enough to drink too. I think the life sphere's gonna be pretty happy with this!" Gon said, giving a happily smile, which was a rare sight for the character. "Well, if thats all said and done, whats left?"
