Ashe opened her mouth to speak but stopped herself. Barbara seemed to be intent on picking a fight with everything that came their way, which was about what she ought to expect from now on. She almost moved to act, but the way the reploid was responding struck her as odd. He simply stood his ground and parried Barbara's axes with his bare arms, a feat that she supposed was possible when your arms were made of a powerful metal. However, the reploid seemed to be caught off guard as Barbara grabbed him, getting thrown to the ground. Rather than retaliate, however, he simply got back up and brushed himself off as if nothing had happened. "...It seems I've given you too much credit. Allow me to correct two misconceptions you have." he replied, a note of irritation in his voice. His normally blue eyes became tainted with a red energy, seeming to reflect a change in disposition. How convenient. He then thrust his arms out at his side, a suit of heavy armor manifesting itself over his body in a burst of white light.

"This city is now mine. I will be organizing it's reconstruction and the retiring of all the mavericks that currently call it home. It will become a utopia in this wretched wasteland of a planet and from there I will begin working to restore what is left of the surrounding mess. Secondly, the girl beside you is a threat to everyone's safety and needs to be dealt with. Now, I am going to take her from you. Recant your words and repent for your actions now and you will feel the warmth of my forgiveness, else she won't be all I take on this day."

Ashe flinched. Those were some pretty grand plans he was laying out to them, and at a surface level they didn't seem evil! Yet... There was of course an undertone to his words that left her feeling uneasy. As weird as what the girl had said was, she clearly wasn't trying to hurt them right now. Surely there had to be a reason for that, right? ...Maybe she wasn't their enemy.

Aile watched as Barbara once again attacked without thinking it through... She should really get used to this happening from her. Oddly though, X does not seem to be fighting back against her yet. She did not go further because she could not leave too far from the kid's side or she would be in danger again. She listened to the fake X's speech and kept her ZX Buster ready to fire. It did not seem like there was no longer anyway to avoid a fight. He did seem to have some similarities to X... But he was also way off the mark.

"I am Aile! I use the powers Models X, Z and the others give me to protect everyone! You say you are a paragon but you are just a child compared to the real X! The real X would not just judge others and destroy them because he has a problem with them. He would stop the same people that do that! You call yourself light but you are just a Maverick soiling X's name! I won't let you cast wrongful judgement on another innocent person!"

As Aile delivered a speech of her own, her body began glowing with energy. Using the opportunity she had during the talk to charge his ZX Buster, she pointed it at the person claiming to be X and firing two consecutive charge shots at him. She followed this up by firing two more regular buster shots. She had more techniques with the ZX Saber right now but she can't move too far from the girl. She was not in a state to stand up to this guy.

Barbara watched as X, Ashe & Aile were doing very long and boring speech's to each other, she knew what was happening though, evil edgy robot has appeared and is going to take over the city with others just like him and he needs to kill the girl because she'll somehow foil his plans, which he almost succeeded since Barbara almost did the work for him, only to give up.

AND swear to protect this girl through justice of the viking system!

But after she fired her own attacks, she waited for the speech's to be done, while waiting she looked down at the girl she just recently hit with her axe. "So, know any old games?" Barbara said to Alouette as X asks Ashe what quailfy's her to question him. "Not her, all of us, my question is, why are you such a mega edge face!" Barbara said as she charged yet again to X to deal some damage to him.

"This is what you get for being evil!"

"X" was taken off guard and flung backwards when Aile shot him with that massive blast of plasma. Yet, it was not enough to dispatch him. He was no mook, and even that attack couldn't simply ignore his ultimate armor Standing back up, Aile's followup shots simply bounced off of his armor harmlessly, with Barbara's axe being only marginally more effective. Each blow let off a loud crash as it met his armor, but didn't seem to faze him in the slightest. He was just... standing there giving Barbara an unamused look as she inadvertently left herself completely open. With one hand he lunged out and intercepted Barbara's third blow, quickly pinching the axe below the head and yanking the head clean off with his other hand, leaving Barbara with a stick in her hands. He then proceeded to whip the axe head over his shoulder, tossing it into a pile of rubble.

He then turned and disregarded the barbarian entirely, apparently... choosing not to fight her? He quickly leapt away.

...Three blasts of plasma would rain down on Aile from "X"'s buster cannon.

Copy X landed nearby, his buster cannon already gathering power for a stronger attack.

...Ha ha. You're quite funny, 'Aile'. But you're mistaken. I am X, a perfect copy of the original.

On cue, Copy X discharged a powerful blast from his cannon at Aile, returning the favor she had paid him moments before.

In a way, I wish I was less perfect. I could have been better... My only regret is that I ultimately succumbed to the same fate as him, fighting for the future of humanity and dying for my efforts. What became of my utopia..? Did the humans I was sworn to protect have to pay the ultimate price for my own defeat? Tell me something, 'Aile'. Are you ready to accept the burden of thousands of human lives upon your own shoulders? Do you think you could have done a better job than I? Perhaps there was someone you could have saved that I didn't..? I ask you again, who are you to judge me?

On cue, a couple of buster shots bounced off of Copy X's armor. Ashe was standing nearby, holding a buster pistol at the ready. Why hadn't she megamerged?

You need to get with the times! Humans and reploids have been equals for decades! ...And something tells me equality was established on the grave of your 'utopia'.

...Ashe earned herself a bewildered look from Copy X. For someone in her early teens, she was oddly familiar with ancient history, especially from a period that would have been known as the dark ages to her, where most of recorded history had been lost. It probably had something to do with her occupation including 'archaeologist' in it's job description.

Aile turned around and grabbed the little girl before quickly dashing to the right just as the copy's attack was about to hit. That was, before Aile was hit by another attack from X from behind. This guy was really powerful and ZX may not do much... May need a change of plans... But first...

"Here, you need this more than I do. Eat it." Aile handed the young girl a Maxim Tomato. She needed at least some life insurance after that axing and Aile was more able to handle herself... Though, this may be her more tying to protect her than actually caring that much for her own safety. "Megamerge!" Aile switched out Model Z for Model H to make her ranged arsenal a little better. Hopefully this holds up better. Probably too far to go back like Ashe is trying to go. She then shot a tornado charge at the copy X to blow him back even though distance may only help with  reaction time more than anything outside protecting the girl.

As Barbara was about to attack the robot again, he managed to whip the axe off of her arm, causing it to fall into the rubble nearby. "My axe!" Barbara said as she looked back at the robot in anger. "Your going to regret that, I may of lost my axe but at least I can still kick powerfully!" Barbara said as she charged towards the enemy, but first she has to dodge his attack first.

The little girl catches and promptly struggles to wolf down the maxim tomato with her tiny mouth, miraculously healing her deadly head wound in the process! She then promptly hugs Aile's leg rather affectionately, instantly falling in love with her. Speeches be damned, she had needs! Meanwhile, Copy X just sort of staggered about as he was pulverized by attacks, although Barbara would find she was unable to get a grasp on him. The frustrated reploid once again took to the air, awkwardly fleeing the determined human and landing nearby.

...You're going to hurt yourself, you know. Humans aren't nearly strong enough to hold their own against reploids. That's why it's our duty to exercise restraint. This is also why I don't believe you. I can clearly see your synthetic body parts, you liar.

With a flash of light, Ashe suddenly grew older. She was taking on a new appearance more apt for making her point... Her mind had raced for a distinctly human body, someone beautiful and ... normal. Someone not like her. It wasn't usually her train of thought when she did these sorts of thing, but she felt it was pretty important to sell herself well. "...If you insist on judging a book by its cover, then take a look at this!" Rosalyn!Ashe said, her voice somewhere between her own voice and the person she was currently masquerading as.

It was beginning to look bad for Ashe. Her allies had vanished somewhere in the middle of the fight, leaving her standing there looking helpless. Before she could begin to consider defending herself, however... "FIRE!" a young girl's voice shouted from above. Several fire balls rained down on Copy X, pelting the ground around him, scorching his body and taking him off guard. Arle hopped off the flying squirrel she'd ridden in on and landed next to Ashe, striking a combatitive pose and facing off against the reploid. "Leave her alone, you bully!" Arle snapped.

Aile has gone somewhere and it was a mystery where the girl could of gone in the middle of the fight. Especially after all that talk you'd think she would not fade away like that... Or was she never there to begin with... Well, that ax girl WAS too crazy to actually be real. Either way, a concentrated laser of focused energy suddenly concentrated on Copy X. The beam seeking to incinerate him with it's burning ferocity.

The mysterious helper suddenly revealed herself as Chell came charging towards the group. The focused girl ran towards the enemy and... Suddenly tackled Ashe to the ground out of nowhere as she seemed to identify the girl as the enemy... Probably because she did not recogonize her through the mask of the really evil girl she was pretending to be. The silent girl seemed ready for vengance on the evil Cube Threatener... Probably best to clear up who she really was...

Copy X's eyes snapped to attention as a laser attempted to focus on him, only for a wall of energy to burst from the ground and cut it off rather abruptly, dispersing the blast into the surrounding streets. Copy X, apparently unfazed, stood there looking perfectly content as the blast cleared. That is, until he saw what his opponents were up to. A very startled Rosalyn!Ashe was currently eating some pavement with another woman on top of her, her backside in the air as she squirmed rather awkwardly underneath the other. "Wh-What?? Hey! G-Get off!" she squealed in fright. Chell might notice that her voice wasn't the same as she would have remembered it. Arle was likewise very confused. "Woah! What're you doing? That's Ashe! She's our friend!" Arle blurted out, debating whether to attack Chell. She seemed kind of dangerous...

Meanwhile, Copy X's brain slowed to a halt at the sight before him. It took him a long moment of watching Rosalyn!Ashe squirm, but it finally clicked to him what he needed to do. Turning his back on the silly scene, he returned to his normal armor and began walking away.

...Keep the maverick. Just take it with you when you leave.

Alouette shot Copy X a dirty look in response to his dehumanizing choice of words. Well, with her one good eye anyway. She then noticed that Aile was not around to protect her, however, and the heavily wounded reploid child chose to reluctantly stumble her way over to the wrestling Ashe and Rosalyn. Chell would feel something ever so gently tug upon her leg. "Please, Miss... Don't hurt Ashe. She tried to be a hero!" Alouette stammered out somewhat shyly, still clutching her head wound with one hand. On cue, Ashe promptly returned to her normal form and began squirming to try and get a better look at her attacker.

Meanwhile, Arle was bemused by Copy X's choice to walk away from him. It honestly didn't seem like he wanted to fight them. ...Weird. He'd seemed so determined when she was approaching. How'd this fight even start again?

Chell did not really notice Rosalyn's voice was off. She just knew what she looked like and who's face to stomp in and she got the drop on her. Now she could get in her revenge on this vile person that called herself... Ashe? Chell lifted a head in confusion at Arle but did not release her grip. Did she just call this girl Ashe? That did not sound like the right name. She did not think those two shared that name...

She barely paid attention as the other guy left but then the girl came over and said... That she tried to be a hero... It was at that moment it clicked for the girl as Ashe reverted and she mistook her for someone else. The girl loosened her grip of the girl and pressed down onto her and rubbed her head against her back affectionately to apologize... That's how people did that right. Either way, she whispered to Ashe "Sorry, I thought you were someone else," she clarified before getting off of the poor girl and to her feet and lowered a hand to help Ashe up if she took it.

MISSION ...COMPETE?

Well--...Convincing the boss to give up is legitimate strategy! Ashe was a little weirded out by what Chell was doing, but that was nothing a little patience couldn't solve. Now back in her original form, she awkwardly shifted into a sitting position once she was able and awkwardly greeted Chell. "Hey--Sorry about the confusion. I guess you knew that girl..?" Ashe remarked, jumping straight to the point. "Speaking of girls, though, we really need to get this one to a hospital. I guess that robot is more of a threat to the infected than he is to us, even if he is kind of territorial." Ashe would go on to relent, pulling Alouette into a hug and scooping the smaller child into her arms. Alouette seemed to relent, snuggling into Ashe for comfort. "Let's go together. I don't know about you, but I'm going to need some downtime after all this is said and done." Ashe would go on to remark, smiling weaklly at the other as she stood up. Without further ado, she dashed off to rush Alouette back to the life sphere.
