Should they follow the star pieces further, they'll eventually find themselves at the very meadows where Lemres wanders around. Progress was slow, but at least they're inching closer towards the location. But with the meadows so open, where would they begin? There's not much leads to go by other than the star-struck flora and a lollipop Lemres dropped.

Wait...lollipop? If they're keen on looking around, they should be able to find it. It's green like the grass, however, so it might not be easy. They're Lemres' favorite type too, big and swirly.

As his partner decided to follow him at his route, Greninja found himself pondering about Raffine's words. Word of mouth said that this meadow was a very peaceful place, and it was one of the places which apparently hadn't any signs of infected at all. This led him to a possible conclusion that it could've been form another part of Li--either that, or there was indeed violent wildlife over here. One of the two. To answer Raffine, he let out a shrug.

He kept going without much worries, but something seemed...off. Maybe it was his instincts?

Greninja spotted a lollipop from faraway. He went to it and nabbed the candy. It seemed to be fairly big in size, and had a spiral patterned onto it. A traditional human candy lying down here, without signs of a bite? Something was up. He wouldn't be able to exactly track the lollipop owner's location exactly AND if it was related to the person he was trying to rescue or just a random accident.

...Then again...maybe someone knew.

Greninja showed Raffine the lollipop. He wasn't going to let her have it to eat though. Who eats candy people dropped on soil and grass? Eugh.

A quick side note that he noticed was that the meadow seemed to be close...well, closer than beforehand, so maybe they were indeed going the right way?1d20+3

Raffine just kind of stood around, looking frustrated with their search. It didn't seem like any of this was her strong suit, really, but that was just how the cookie crumbled. Suddenly however, Raffine was getting a gross lollipop presented to her and just sort of recoiled at the sight, as if afraid Greninja might touch her with it.

"Hey, I don't--" Raffine began, not wanting any part of this, before it suddenly occured to her what this was. She stopped for a moment to reconsider her words before continuing. "...Huh. That looks like something Lemres would carry around." Raffine mused aloud. This must mean Lemres was here at one point or time, but where did he go? ...Perhaps where that noise had come from?

They were getting close to the meadow. A Bronto Burt buzzed by, flying from out a tree and out into the skies, likely to the open air of the meadow. If they chased after it, they'll definitely find a way out of the woods. It's flying by fast, so they've gotta be fast on their feet before they lose it.

On Lemres' side of things, there was a noise...and without trees to muffle the sound, he could likely hear it clearer.

It sounded like...lightning? What could be generating that sound? It's clear the crashing noise is a bolt of sorts, but from what? Lemres felt uneasy hearing it, feeling there's some correlation between the flying object and that sound.1d20+5

Greninja sighed. Just another one of the few moments he needed a language he could not speak. Tough day indeed for him. Well, misunderstanding aside, his partner managed to confirm his thought process. The candy did seem to belong to that Lemres person. Question is, why was it here? What happened? Did it had something to do with the broken wood?

These questions would remain unanswered because suddenly came a weird looking creature, who seemed to be trying to take it's leave out of the meadow. ...It'd be a good idea to follow it. The critter seemed native to this place, therefore it could provide a faster way to get out of there. Granted, it was all based on assumptions, but it was worth a try.

Raffine noticed Greninja trying to chase the bird rather late and just kind of awkwardly moved to pursue the duo. However, she wasn't really feeling it and fell behind after a bit, appearing somewhat exasperated.

"What's with chasing that bird?" Raffine bemoaned in annoyance, not grasping the purpose of this endeavor.

Upon chasing after the Bronto Burt, Greninja would be greeted with the fabled meadow that's been isolated from the rest of the land. The grassy plains gently swaying in the breeze, accompanied with some wildflowers that are blooming quite well, surprisingly. Though, with Raffine falling behind, it might be a good idea to lead her out in some way. Something conspicuous to let her get out of the woods.

Upon looking around, there's some Waddle Dee's leisurely wandering about, especially the one with the shortcake on its head. Wait a minute...shortcake? Didn't Lemres leave one on its head earlier?

Finally some progress! Greninja stepped out of that forest to be greeted by the meadow. The ninja frog let out a content sigh as he finally left that place. ...That is, until he noticed that his partner failed to keep up and struggled to keep going.

Greninja thought for a while. What could he do to lure her attention? That was a tricky question. Maybe she could follow his call? It was at least worth a try, seeing as his other options could cause suspicion and harm. He took a deep breath.

"GRENINJA!" He screamed to lead Raffine to him. He wasn't too away from the place he came from, so maybe she could hear him.

He stood and waited for an answer or anything from her...but then he spotted another couple of little creatures... including one with a shortcake on his head? Greninja wouldn't think too much about it, but if Raffine's statement was any indication, this Lemres guy seemed to like or at least carry a lot of sweets. Could this be a clue?

Raffine looked up from her despair as the sound of Greninja shouting reached her ears.

"...Hmm? Someone's pretty proud of being a ninja, but what's with the 'Gre'?"

Raffine pondered this for a moment as she picked herself back up and moved to catch up to Greninja, jogging her way over to the field. ...Maybe he was an ice ninja? She wanted to see how he managed that. ...She was kind of still holding out hope for the frog prince bit, but it was beginning to look like a distant dream. When she finally arrived however, she observed ... a waddle dee with a shortcake on its head. Raffine frowned, running a hand through her hair. "How novel. A moving trail marker." she lamented dryly. How was this supposed to help them?!

...It wasn't like they could just ask it questions and get answers or anything.

[Rina]

At least the cake Waddle Dee was some indication that Lemres had passed by at some point. For now, there was just that one tip-off. Lemres is within reach, but not before yet another lightning strike comes crashing down in the distance. And it's even louder than usual. Is it getting close?

The duo needs to stay pretty sharp, Lemres could be on the move and the relative distance is likely going to fluctuate if they don't make any progress. There is something vaguely shaped like someone with a pointy hat. Could that be the person they're looking for?

Greninja just...sort of looked at the Waddle Dee with the shortcake. That didn't look like a hint. Nuh-uh, not at all. Before he could try to ask questions about that, however...

He heard a very loud lighting strike from somewhere close. What is going on? It wasn't cloudy over here! ...He knew creatures of legends from faraway regions that could create lighting, and heck, some fellow Pokémon that had a hold of electric energy, but if that would be the case, why would they be here? And what if wasn't a Pokémon? Who or what else could make that noise?

Greninja began looking around until he noticed a silhouette. Who was that guy? ...Maybe he had some useful information? Or could this be the person they were looking for? Greninja nudged Raffine and pointed at the silhouette. 1d20+3

There was something or another going on nearby, but Raffine wasn't really paying attention. There were more important things to think about! ...Like where Lemres was, or why people made grass colored candy, or what was for dinner. ...She was hungry, is what I'm implying. So much was her apathy for the search at hand that she remained oblivious to the world around her. Both the sight of the silhouette and the noises were lost on her idle ears, at least until she was thankfully saved by Greninja rudely interrupting her dreams of candy that probably weren't grass colored.

"...Huh? What're you--...Oh. I could recognize that hat anywhere." Raffine replied in response to having her attention drawn. That silhouette of something vaguely pointy-headed was clearly Lemres, and not anyone else who had a penchant for pointy hats. She promptly ran off to go chase the figure down in hopes of catching them before they wandered off.1d20-4

Upon closer look, there is indeed someone with a pointy hat.


...but not the person they're looking for. It's some strange creature with a pointy hat and a broom, just sweeping away at a mess of some kind. Looks like it'd be good friends with Kikimora, in hindsight. Talking to it likely won't work, but if you look at the trash it's sweeping up, there seems to be some scraps of candy wrappers, and an empty jelly cup. Lemres could have likely passed by here, given another Waddle Dee something, and just happened to look for a way out. In fact, there's a one nearby with a little lollipop...even though it doesn't know why it was given one.

{There's two ways to go about this. You can either try to search for him on your own like your normal perception rolls, OR you can attempt to roll a Charisma roll of 14+ to try and talk to it and maybe get a lead.}

Greninja felt a rather heavy need to facepalm. His partner seemed to have been rather distracted and wasn't paying attention to anything recently. Almost everything she had taken notice was because he either pointed or showed it to her or she just offhandedly noticed him checking out the clues. After a fantastic palm-meets-face motion, he moved towards the silhouette with a pointy hat...

Which turned out to be a rather small creature, wielding a broom. Something told Greninja that this wasn't the person they were looking for. Although the critter was sweeping off some candy wrappers, which this 'Lemres' person was apparently a fan of. Maybe he was still nearby?  The ninja frog would attempt to speak to the broom wielder, however he remembered he couldn't speak human language, so he scrapped that idea in favor of searching him himself.

Hm, this Lemres person sure loved giving candy to strangers. First there was a Waddle Dee with a shortcake and now that he looked around...another Waddle Dee, this time with a lollipop. This guy was...supremely kind to strangers. And he also seemed to be a kind of a messy person, giving the trash he just...let be on the meadow.

...That was odd...

He decided to advance (although somewhat slowly) to the Waddle Dee with the lollipop.1d20+3

Raffine glared in annoyance as she came to a stop before the witchy creature. Look at this little jerk punk, not being who she needed it to be! How was she supposed to get anything done around here when everyone else was so unhelpful?! ...Raffine considered the situation for a long moment. While that ninja was off ... cleaning his face with his palm or whatever, she would have to pull some weight.

"Hey, wizard! You wouldn't happen to have seen a warlock handing out candy around here, would you?" Raffine questioned with audible disdain. Why was she conversing with something that didn't have a mouth. What a load.
