Shadow/Krystal/Vincent(Guest)
Shadow's comments and concerns would do him no good. He was not in control this time around. The noise he attempted to make did not escape the room. It was as if the room had suddenly been engulfed in a barrier of distorted darkness locking the door behind Shadow and shielding any chance of outside help including noise cancellation. This sudden strange magical eeriness also blocked Shadow's telepathy abilities, as he would find if he tried that trick again. "It's no use, this room is abomination proof. And that is what you are. An abomination." The voice continues to heckle the hedgehog and then reacts to his worry. "I sense fear in you. Interesting. But understand that will not make your presence in this room with me any less a risk. Hahaha...." The voice, though giving threatening comments, was now calm in tone and that of a slow paced raspy rhythm.
"And I know you very well....after all..." The figure steps forward from darkness and stands beside the diorama revealing himself. "I created you, didn't I?" As he reveals himself, Shadow would notice it's a very familiar face. One thought to be dead.
"Now that you've seen me, you know me. Your father. Your creator. Gerald Robotnik. Tell me, how is your conscious fairing after killing my precious Maria? Is it well?" Paying close attention to the presence of this person, Shadow would also notice there was something...off about him. A dark purple hue faintly glew around him in addition, his frame was weak and skin pale. But everything else about this person matched that of Gerald Robotnik, the supposed deceased professor that created the hedgehog.
"You are lucky to be made the way you are you know...immortal. Endless. A perfect mistake. But Maria, her fate was not so. Could you have saved her? Tell me, are my own efforts in vain?" Gerald began to build panic in his voice and was pleading with Shadow. "You don't think I'm crazy, do you? For creating you? For trying to STILL find a way to save her. To bring her back." Tears of rage filled his eyes.
"She was everything to me. And creating you played a part in destroying her far too early! I was so distraught with the thought and how much unfinished work there was still to be done before my demise, that I found a way to cheat death itself. I had more to do. To bring her back. Isn't that just fantastic?" He bellows a maniacal laugh again and ends with a horrid cough. "Didn't you have the ability of time manipulation? Can't you just go back right now and save her!?!" He raises his voice again but coughs once more almost heaving over in pain. "No. No time for that. I fear my ability to outlast death however may be fading. And I must bring Maria back before my own decomposition. Therefore, I need a favor. After all, I made you. And you killed her. Wouldn't you say you owe me?" He tried sounding as pathetic and as pitiful as possible in that last statement to persuade Shadow to agree with what was to come.
Gerald in a frail slump leans over the diorama and reaches his arm down into it taking out a syringe he plucked from the Sunshine Circle area of the display. He observes it a moment then looks to Shadow and smiles revealing rotting teeth. "It will be nothing but a small prick to extract your DNA so that I may use it to prolong my life. A human and hedgehog hybrid! Ah the bliss of new experimentation! Wouldn't you say it's genius!? If I could give myself your genetic gifts and the blessing of immortality, and it works, then maybe I can do the same for Maria and bring her back from the grave... " His eyes grow wide with wanderlust and he imagines all too vividly the thought of Maria in his arms again. "And you would be able to see her as well. She would, in a way, be a part of you again." He is high off of this thought process now and turns to Shadow beginning to walk towards him to extract from his cells.
"Just imagine Shadow....just think! Oh how wonderful it would be. All you have to do is stay right there, so I can poke you. Just stay riiiiight there..." He continues to walk to Shadow and as he gets closer, Shadow notices something latching onto his spine. A black tendril connected to the shadows of the room. Perhaps if Shadow could see it, and if it could be severed....then maybe....
Krystal and Vincent continue their struggle with the dog...
Vincent successfully hits the canine zombie two times sending it staggering and loosening its influence on Krystal, its flesh was scorched by the bullets.
Zombie Dog Burn Chance Roll 1: eC_pt9Xsp_1d100
The first bullet does not burn the animal.
Zombie Dog Burn Chance Roll 2: p_1d100
The second does not either. After getting shot twice at close proximity the dog shakes off any burn wounds but does feel the sting of the bullets now lodged in its body and tolerates it for the moment sucking up the pain and still on the attack. Before it could retaliate to Vincent or strike Krystal again however, it is met with Krystal's counter assault. It gets whacked with Krystal's staff with her first swipe against its right cheek causing the dog to reel back some, then is struck again, but side swipes that one at the last minute, but was unable to see the third strike coming and was thwacked on its spine causing it to whimper downwards from the impact. It felt a cold chill in its body at this point and tries to resist being frozen.
Zombie Dog Freeze Chance Roll 1: p_1d100
It is not frozen from the staff impact the first time.
Zombie Dog Freeze Chance Roll 2: p_1d100
It barely outlasts the second frostbite attempt. And while it was recovering, Krystal leaps into the air and swipes down with another staff attack, but this time it was much more severe and heavy hitting. It was unable to dodge this maneuver due to being a bit woozy from the other staff attacks and was met with a severe blow to the head sending its face crashing into the hall tile underneath it and causing the area to shake from impact and forming a small crater in the floor. After such devastation, the hound gets back to its feet, somehow still able to stand and tries to regain its balance with a now bloody and mangled face.
Zombie Dog Stun Chance Roll: p_1d100 (STUNNED!)
The blow was harsh enough to cause the mutt to lose its ability to move being overcome with numbness and tremors from the most recent impact. It does its best to advance towards Krystal for retaliation but fails falling over on its side from tight nerves and a numb body. All it does is salivate and snarl at both Vincent and Krystal as it remains helplessly stunned from further motion.

Vincent notices the dog was being well handled by Krystal and before chiming in to the fight again, he tries contacting Shadow telepathically to see how he is doing after hearing a muddled telepathic responses from him but not fully grasping what he was saying. "Shadow...how are you? Are you trying to reach me? You're breaking up on your words. What's going on in there? I'm a bit preoccupied out here at the moment..." He realizes that his thoughts are not connecting to him anymore, and instead going to the nether.
"Hm? Odd, the mental tether has been severed." He looks at the room questioning if Shadow is alright or not, but then notices the dog him and Krystal were battling was now stunned, and he had an opening for attack. "Unfortunately I cannot reach Shadow any longer through telepathy in that room, so, let's finish this beast quick so we can use your key card and find out what's going on in there!" Vincent juts out his metal claw and hones in on the helpless hound, he then rushes towards it attempting to rip it apart. "METAL MASSACRE!" He slashes at the foe while it is downed aiming to cut the nape of its neck open.
Vincent Metal Massacre on Zombie Dog p_1d20 + 5 (JUST BARELY! Will do 20% DMG and have a 40% Mortal Wound chance.)
Vincent doesn't give the attack his absolute best, due to the nature of the pooch being incapacitated he didn't feel a need to unleash too much, but manages to get at a chunk of the animal slashing at his collar bone which was not exactly the neck nape, but close enough causing a piece of flesh and a trail of blood to gush out of it.
"Let's give you a bit more of a makeover eh?" He takes Cerberus and points it point blank at the hound's head and fires two quick rapid fire bullets into its skull.
Impaler Shot DEX Roll on Zombie Dog p_1d20 + 5 (SUCCESS! It will hit doing 22% DMG with no added effects.)
Impaler Shot DEX Roll on Zombie Dog Part 2 p_1d20 + 5(LUCKY! Double success. It does another 22% DMG with no added effects.)
Though there was blood spurting from its skull and lots of yelping, the creature remained alive and went right back to growling and snarling after a moment of silence taking the pain. But whatever was left of it, it sure wasn't much. "Seriously? Huh. Must have missed the brain. Even that close? I will ensure I never get tossed in a stasis chamber again." He is embarrassed by his own bad marksmanship and lack of power to finish the job himself then simply folds his arms and gestures to Krystal to take the honors. "Well, put it out of its misery then." He waits patiently to see if the dog will have a sudden urge to move and attack again, or if Krystal can easily finish out its life. He supposedly could fire another bullet and kill it there and now easily, but, he assumed Krystal wanted to take that claim.

-Shadow must make a PER Roll to notice the tendril and slice it. The only passing roll will be a roll of 18 or above. Shadow can only attempt this once, if he fails the roll, he must then complete a DEX Roll of 15 or above to dodge the syringe. If he fails that, Shadow will enter a GRAPPLE battle with Gerald and must meet the terms of the grapple condition to escape. If that is failed, then Shadow's DNA is extracted.

Wolf/Ghor/Yumiko
The source of the voice in the laboratory hears Ghor's response and gets louder and tries responding back to give the group more information. "Someone IS there! That's lovely! Please, I'm in here! As you enter the lab go immediately to the right, the most flooded part of the space. I can't move. There's all sorts of debris trapping me. I tried barricading myself after those terrible things surrounded me and eventually left me alone. But in the process a piece of furniture fell on my leg and I'm stuck! And my lower body is drenched in bloody water. I feel gross to say the least!" The voice sounded like true concern, but it also changed in style and pitch somewhat. Almost as if a different voice entirely than the voice before. Odd? Perhaps, but the figure was still in distress.
Once the group heads for the lab to the immediate left they will see shelves of various surgical utensils such as scalpels, prongs, test tubes, scissors, etc and a few empty mason jars of glass with some broken tools on the ground for the same surgical purposes. Directly in front of them are the shelves crowding most of the lab space with the jars of odd colored liquids and unknown organs in them. And to the right of the lab space was ofcourse where most of the flooding is pooled up at along with a mountain of shelves, appliances, and various other furniture pieces that one would find in a lab. Underneath the clutter, would likely be the source of the voice should the group pursue onwards.

Once the fan was removed as an obstacle, Wolf didn't care much for anymore idle banter. Luckily it seemed the entire group was on the same page to check in on the distressed voice and keep moving forward in the dungeon like space. He barreled ahead eying Ghor as he went and in his urgency muttered a simple "Thanks." He gestured to Yumiko and Ghor to stay close and follow him as Wolf took the lead. He hears the voice speak again and audibly receives a bit more direction of where exactly the individual was trapped. "To the right of the space? And trapped by furniture eh? That's a sad situation to be in. A slow death by claustrophobia mixed with inescapable injury. Sounds like one of the reality shows I used to watch on my home planet." Once he reaches the lab door he stops his movement putting his blaster in front of him surveying the space cautiously. It was full of all sorts of clutter and incredibly dark.
"Not much I can see in here at the moment..." He sniffs the air and gets a whiff of something vile. "Smells like a much stronger odor of decay in here than a little ways back. There's somethin else dead or rotting in here besides the body we trampled through." He stays cautious and advances forward, his blaster remains up and prepped, the light on it beaming in the space. He calls out for the victim inside here again. "Alright partner, we're heading your way to the right. It's dark in here so be ready for rescue so we can move on." He didn't like this vibe, and he was going to make this rescue as quick as he can. Master Hand remained floating behind Wolf being of little use on the vision side of things, but carefully standing by in case additional combat support is needed.
