ゼラオラ (Zeraora)
Ultra-Space/Pokemon Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon
Alignment: Chaotic Good
Motto: "Home is ALWAYS where the heart is."
Allies/Friends: Shadow, Naoto, and Ryu to name just a stark few
Enemies/Rivals: The enemies of the Life Sphere, and the Ultra Beasts
Backstory: Zeraora wasn't ever accepted among her kind, not the Ultra Beasts either, and not even in her own world; thus, Zeraora had left her own land, seeking out new worlds in Ultra Space to finally get her own home. Long and arduous was her journey, through many different worlds gave themselves to her, none ever fit her. Each had ended up, at some point, rejecting the poor feline. She adapted to this, accepted her fate as a traveler, never destined to stay for long. Until one caught her eye. An arcade world, a land of gaming and leisure where status was measured by both strength, and skill in games. With both, Zeraora was... finally fitting in. Though, even then, she felt outcasted among humans, the only Pokemon in the world, and her presence made such games... oddly absent. Finally, as per usual, the animosity grew to ire, and Zera was forced to leave again, though carrying her love for gaming with her. The next jump through ultra space proved one sided. Li, it was the final stop on her journey, where she could finally belong.
Appearance:
History On Li: Li, at first to her, was just another transient group, another realm to just... pass through. Of course, realization that not only were her favorite game characters possibly here (given the presence of creatures such as Toads), but that she was stuck here was a mixed bag for Zeraora. Though, still, she wanted to do her part for this place, given that it wasn't as hostile or xenophobic as other places tended to be. Migrant warriors weren't welcome really anywhere else.
People like Shadow proved that she could do more than just swoon and fangirl over such things... She could be their friends! So, with her knowledge abound of their worlds from the outside, Zeraora signed herself on at once to aide those of the Life Sphere.
Zeraora's main goal on Li isn't to just solve issues and get home, she wants to make the place habitable for all, a better home for herself and others like her. Though... she's willing to change herself for the better, and train herself to fit better into this world by any means. The presence of Pokemon has her a bit anxious, but... she's willing to patch things up for the greater good.
Primary Attacks (3)
アクロバット (Acrobatics): [Light/Medium Melee DEX || 5%-14% ] Zeraora uses her natural feline agility to strike at a foe with full speed. Capable of using this attack as a quick series of punches and/or kicks, or a single sweeping strike, she can vary her blows dependent on the situation. With any stacks of static (see Discharge/Volt Absorb), Zera gains a bonus 5% chance to paralyze the opponent on successful final hit with this move to a max of 50% paralyze chance. Around characters from the Street Fighter Franchise, she may even attempt to perform a Tatsumaki! (Purely cosmetic.)
かみなり (Thunder): [Heavy Ranged WIS || 22 %] Zeraora charges with as much electrical strength as she can muster across her body before letting loose a heavy blast of electricity. This attack leaves electrical runoff, increasing Zeraora's static stacks by 2 on use. Around characters of the Street Fighter Franchise, in the same vein, may attempt to imitate a Hadouken! [1 Turn Cooldown]
かみなりパンチ (Thunder Punch): [Medium Melee STR || 16 %] Zeraora quickly prepares a static-charged fist to deliver right to the face of her foe! It's a basic attack, but it also generates 3 stacks of Static on use.
Special Attacks (3)
ほうでん/ ちくでん (Discharge/Volt Absorb): Zeraora, as battle goes on, generates Static from using electrical attacks or being hit by them. Zera can stand aside, and sacrifice 1 action to increase her static charges by 5. Static maxes out at 50 stacks, and increases on intervals for both Volt Absorb and Discharge, depending on where the stacks land. While stacks remain low to activate either ability here, Zeraora's other special abilities require much more static. Discharge deals damage, and Volt Absorb heals Zeraora. The chart below shows the intervals in which Zeraora's abilities gain effectiveness, cooldown included.
Static Level | Discharge Damage | Volt Absorb Health gained |
5 | 8% No Cooldown | 1d5+CHA 3 Turns Cooldown |
10 | 16% 1 Turn Cooldown | 1d6+CHA 4 Turns Cooldown |
15 | 24% 2 Turns Cooldown | 1d7+CHA 5 Turns Cooldown |
20 | 32% 3 Turns Cooldown | 1d8+CHA 6 Turns Cooldown |
プラズマフィスト (Plasma Fists): [Medium Melee STR || 18 %] Zeraora takes built up electrical energy, and devastates a foe with a massive uppercut strike. Upon hit, the foe has a 20% chance of receiving Paralysis for a turn. If the opponent rolls a critical fail, they are instead stunned. This attack requires 25 Stacks of Static to use, and consumes them on use. Zeraora gains a +1 Hit mod under the effect of Ion Deluge.
ワイルドボルト (Wild Charge): [Heavy Melee DEX || 28 %] Zeraora charges with all her might, taking all 50 static stacks to ram herself into the opponent. Upon landing a hit, Zeraora is refunded 15 Static stacks, and takes 10% damage. If under the effect of her Final Smash's after effect, Ion Deluge, Zeraora instead only takes 5% damage.
Final Smash (1)
スパーキングギガボルト (GIGAVOLT HAVOC!) - Zeraora overcharges herself with as much static as physically possible, drawing from all sources that she can at once, before unleashing a devastating, single punch for 50% damage. This move, subsequently, maxes out her Static, and for 2 turns afterwards, prevents her static level from dropping. This status is known as Ion Deluge.
