A phantom of a princess stood in the stadium... Well, stand is not the right word for she has no legs. Regardless she awaited someone to com mostly because she needed to practice her powers in a controlled environment without... The last incident happening again. She has not seen Valorie since that day but she hoped to apologize for that rather harsh treatment. She let the excitement of having a body again get way out of hand...

Regardless she has a plan to seek out but to do so on her own she needed to practice her spirit magic and fighting abilities. She has been training some of her abilities since getting here, a practice she has made a daily routine since getting her body back with Link's help. She made it a habit of experimenting with her Spirit Magic and Sacred blood in the case that another Demon threatened New Hyrule she was prepared. She had to live years unknowingly tricked by her chancellor as ruler before she ruled the kingdom of her own accord.  Now she had to get her body back and deal with the cretin responsible with what she learned over the past few months.

There was no Link to escort her all around her Kingdom this time. She saw many new places during that trip and there was more to see here despite it's state. Zelda looked to the entrance of the arena, awaiting someone to find her royal challenge and duel her. Though princesses usually left it to the knights, she was not for that anymore and besides, it's not like she can die without a body to have die... Probably.

Emil was not one for fighting but Ratatosk found it the perfect opportunity to 'grow a backbone' as he put it. Emil had his sword sheathed and unsure of himself as he paced into the stadium. It wasn't that he didn't know how to fight it was more that he didn't like to at all.

"I'm not so sure about this. Are you sure this is okay to do?" he would ask his other self knowing he was stuck with him now and couldn't get rid of him. 

"Yes kiddo this will be good for you. I know you must hate me but you have to live with me now." The other half that was Ratatosk spoke to Emil through his head. 
Emil would come to a stop as he saw his opponent. A small girl but she wasn't just any girl she had royal like clothing and appeared to be a spirit or ghost of said girl. 

"Oh uh hello there." Emil would wave at her slightly whilst a bit nervous. 

"So umm you are my opponent? I .... hope we don't have to fight too hard." Emil said trying to work up the courage to speak.
Emil has met other spirits himself as he technically was one as well but never a girl like this. She was rather nice looking and seemed like she was waiting for something or someone. 
"Would it be okay if you helped me get better at fighting?" Emil would ask as he drew his curved sword then took a stance.

Zelda's look was at... a blonde boy with a sword... Huh. Well, at least her practice match was on a familiar target... Assuming he wasn't skilled in some form of magic as well as swordsplay. Even then Link had some tools from their journey-Come on, Zelda, this is your own adventure seperate from Link now!

"... I guess we are here for the same reason then. Alright, but I must ask you to not hold back on me. We have to take this seriously. We won't get better otherwise. That said... Let's begin, shall we?" Zelda illustrated before firing a red fireball out of her hand at the boy, it growing in size as it flew at him before exploding in a powerful light. This was followed up by a small beam of light that was... pretty slow. She seemed to have accidently put way more energy into that fire spell than she wanted to. "Come on, was meant to be a faster light spell... Let's see... How about this!" She declared, before the glyph of New Hyrule formed under where Emil was, the symbol lighting up before exploding upwards in a beam of light to send him flying into the air before Zelda floated down with her hand on her chest. Okay, she was not used to this fighting without her Phantom but this is what this exercise was for... Was she forgetting something.

Just because they were on opposite sides of the battlefield does not mean a princess should shirk courtesy.

Emil wasn't one to fight as he moved his arms in front of his face in fear. As he did that though a red bubble shield popped up and blocked the attacks thrown at him.

The girl named Zelda made Emil scared to fight as he used his bubble shield to block all of her attacks. "Ahhh!" Emil cried out feeling scared as he noticed he had barely anything left of his shield. "I can't do this! I give u...." but before he could finish his sentence something took over. "No you don't idiot I'm taking over!" the voice cried out as Emil fainted and fell to the ground. He wasn't hurt but it would seem like it even though every attack was blocked. His shield had not shattered but Emil was out cold for the moment.




Suddenly a dark aura enveloped his body as Emil began to stand up as he opened his eyes to show a fierce pair of crimson red eyes. "I should have never left this to that kid." The being that was Ratatosk curved his sword backward and immediately began to charge at Zelda with his sword swinging at her. "Rrahhhh!" he yelled with a battle cry as he prepared his first attack.

Ratatosk Mode: Emil's eyes turn bright red as a demonic like aura surrounds his body. This is the true form of Emil in a sense as it allows attacks to hit much harder by buffing his Strength and Charisma stats by 4 for 3 turns giving a +2 modifier then after use becomes a 3 turn cooldown. [CON]

"Take this! Demon Fang!"

He swiped his sword in front of him to show a slash of darkness turn into a projectile towards the girl named Zelda.

"Rggh! Double Demon Fang!" Another Demon Fang after the first one to not be likely to hit as much as the first one.

"Are you alright?" Zelda asked as she held her hand out as the boy suddenly collasped... Did he not want to be stronger? Why was he here? Then suddenly came out another beast altogether... Perhaps literally as he rose back up but acted completely different. So he was possesed by some... demon? That gave Zelda some uncomfortable flashbacks but she pushed them aside as she had a fight to win still.

She was still caught offguard as the Demon Fang hit her frame and she felt... A touch of poison in the sword swipe? She didn't seem poisoned? Oh! Maybe since she's a ghost she's immune!... Wait, no, she did get sick just last week. Nevermind, maybe she just got lucky that she wasn't poisoned. Either way she was not about to test her luck. Regardless she floated around the other swipe. "... If a lack of fighting spirit makes a person worthless, then you really are a  king of monsters. In that case, as thePrincess with sacred magic in her spirit, I shall take you down and prove that boy is not as useless as you make him out to be!" Zelda declared with renowned determination before flying at the boy in what seemed like a ram before she entered his body... Well, he already had two spirits, why not a third. Before she could be ejected, Zelda tried to rob control of the body for herself and cast the winds upon the body and use his sword to impact himself with an Earthquake should she be successful.

Regardless of whether or not her plan works, she will stumble out of Emil and into the air before catching herself upright. She then threw a fireball to followup and ending her barrage with a blast of light that shone around the arena.

As the princess tried to give right to her actions she would cast a possession spell on Emil trying to sway his actions like he did.
"Argh! Get out of my head woman!" he would cry out as he would try to keep her from possessing the possessor.

Try as he may Ratatosk could not control his own actions as he summoned the Devil's Maw upon himself. The shadowy winds engulfed him and caused a good deal of damage before he threw his sword upon the ground causing a quake around him which could possibly stun him as well.
25% damage taken plus 6% recoil equals 31 damage to Emil.

Thankfully he did not get stunned by his own attack but it still hurt a lot. 

"Rrrgh! Time to fix that up a bit." Ratatosk took out a small gel like substance and held it above his head.

"Time for an Apple Gel." 

Apple Gel: Emil gets out a small gel like medicine then holds it above his head that heals him for a small amount of health. Uses the dice for a 1d15+Charisma Mod for a 3 turn cooldown. [Heal ??%] [CHA]

But Zelda's assault was hardly over as she threw another fireball at him which he would try to dodge.

Ratatosk was angry as he charged at Zelda with a few sword swings in hopes to hurt her.

He would yell at Zelda.

"I fail to see the problem with you telling him to attack a princess despite him not wanting to!" Zelda rebuttaled, her tongue out as the possessed Emil, to her perspective hit himself... She was a tad immature for a princess at times even after all that development. "... That is a peculiar thing. An Apple Gel you call it? It seems to regenerize wounds..." Zelda noted before as she could sense the anger in the man's swings and floated back, just out of reach of his blade.

"You know, if you calmed down and did not command the onlookers maybe they'd appreciate it. You are probably a horrible king but what could one expect when their dominion is monsters," Zelda stated, though she knew nothing of the context of his world, only his actions as she summoned another glyph and let out a burst of Sacred Light on the Monster King before pulling out her Spirit Flute and playing a tune that signaled a train whistle to blow. A gate then opened up before a Golden Train would soar out and attempt to ram into the man before dropping off a large suit of armor Zelda quickly flew into to possess as it changed from a dark purple to pink.

The Phantom Armor lit up as Zelda's Spirit gained hold of it before she attempted to strike a heroic pose... Only to stumble a bit at her sudden massive change in weight. The crowd seemed confused at what the girl was trying to do here getting such heavy armor to fight. "Alright, like this I can take anything you throw at me! Bring it on!" Zelda declared, getting into battle position stance. She looked much clunkier in that armor but probably best to not underestimate it's strength and durability.

Ratatosk was upset but knew he could not hope to reach the princess despite his attacks. There she went again with another light energy attack. He would attempt to dodge it this time.

"And what do you know of that subject? I am no king like your pathetic royalty, I am a god! I don't need to take this from you." Ratatosk said proudly as he began to attempt his first dodge.

Due to his poor reflexes he got hit by the attack once again.

"Rrgh! I'm not done!" 

Then suddenly a golden train appeared from seemingly nowhere as Ratatosk had to try to dodge this attack as well.

"Time I go on the offensive." he muttered as he charged at the now armored princess with a light sword combo that would equal 15% if all three blows hit/

It would be unlikely to hit like the last attacks as he felt like his confidence was fading. This meant of course he was fading and Emil would gain control over his body once more.

"I got to make this time count! Devil's Maw!" 

Devil's Maw: A swirling blast of dark energy surrounds Emil as it spirals upward to engulf any foes caught in the shadow like winds. Emil then strikes his blade upon the ground that causes a small earthquake as the shadows disperse which will end up hurting Emil for 6% damage and those around him thus ending the attack. However the quake also gives a 5% chance to stun his foes. [AOE DMG 25%] [WIS]

Another unlikely hit as he could have sworn his accuracy had taken a dip ever since he came to this blasted world that was Li. 
Taking the recoil of the hit he lost another 6% health even if he missed the attack. 

"Ravaging Tiger!" he would cry out as he tried to hit the phantom armor into the air then strike them back down to the ground with a lightning bolt.

Ravaging Tiger: Emil lifts the enemy into the air with a strike of his sword and then swings downward, sending the foe back down to the ground with a small lightning bolt that shoots down after the initial attack. Has a 10% chance to Paralyze the target. [DMG 15%] [WIS]

This attack was likely to hit but for not much considering he was having a bit of bad luck for this entire match.  And as his attack ended Ratatosk's aura faded and Emil came back.
"No my time is up. I need to win!"

The dark aura was gone and Emil's eyes returned to the emerald green they once were.

".....Up!" The word that he would have said before Ratatosk took over.

"Huh? .....OW! Ugh! Why does my body hurt all over? And who is this armored guy? Where did that princess go?" Emil was full of questions as he found himself fighting in the ring now but confused. 

"Uh hello everyone I uh did not expect to be fighting but I hope you will all cheer me on." Emil's appeal.

Zelda effortlessly dodged the sword combo, deflecting one of the slashes with her sword. "Being a 'god' gives you no right to put your power over others! The Demon King I fought would of probably considered himself much the same. Would I bowed down and let him have his way with my body? No!" Zelda declared before stumbling under the weight of the Devil's Maw. Fortunately the armor shielded her spirit and was incredibly durable but that doesn't mean she should expect it to be completely invincible. She then got hit by the Ravaging Tiger as he called it, the lightning coursing through her armor. Fortunately the armor was not much more difficult to move in but she had to keep better guard up.

She was about to go on a counter offensive until Emil reawakened... Oh man, the boy was back in control of his body. It almost made her lose the will to fight but... She opened this match, she can not spare that indignity. So, instead she shall pull one last offensive and force HIM to yield!... Flawless reasoning. And so Zelda did just that as she made no effort to speak and instead dashed towards Emil with a backhanded slash followed up by a much slower and telegraphed swing.

The Phantom then gave a dark presence before vanishing out of sight. How could one miss an armor vanishing from sight as it disappeared into darkness. However, the relief was brief before the armor suddenly rematerialized behind Emil and tried to shove it's shield against him to make him stumble. Wow, she's fast! Hey, it's not her speed! She's using the Warp Phantom to warp! Well, whatever the case the armor shifted in color before transforming into a large armored ball and attempting to plow over Emil to followup the last attack.

After that assault, the Phantom Armor pointed it's sword down at Emil, as if declaring it's victory over his position before a girl's voice, the one he was fighting before spoke to him with some form of telepathy. "The god that possessed you is no longer forcing you to fight, I do not wish to harm you more than necessary. If you give I promise I will not look down upon you. He may view it as cowardice but that is no excuse to force a boy to fight. We can continue if you desire but... Well I think you need some rest after he took over," Zelda lamented and advised to him. Although the audience of course could not hear her words since it was in the boy's head so all they could tell was some Armored Ghost Princess was trying to make Emil yield.

The girl was the suit of armor? That was a surprise but Emil did not want to give up now. He didn't know why but it was like he had a new confidence ready to take charge and it was not Ratatosk but his own bravery.

"I.... I need to try at least." Emil muttered out as he summoned his own courage.
"Fiend Fusion!" he cried out but despite the name it was not Ratatosk again, In fact it was something much different. A dark aura flared up and the elements of Earth and Wind surrounded Emil giving him more defense and agility from it.

Fiend Fusion: A dark aura surrounded Emil as rocks rise from the ground using wind to surround his body. This increases Emil's Constitution and Dexterity by 4 for 2 turns giving a +2 modifier. Cooldown is 2 turns after use. [CON]

Emil would now try to dodge the next sword attack from the princess.

Emil dodged the first swing as he moved out of the way of the sword.

Next was the second swing to try to dodge.

"I need to try!" he said sounding brave. 

All of a sudden the knight vanished from sight then behind Emil. But could he react in time to save himself?

"Huh?! Sorry I can't let you do that!" Emil would say as he blocked the attack with his curved sword which was normally pointed backward to begin with. 

"Hey I'm not that bad at this as I thought!" he said with a smile as he backed away from the armored princess.

He would then try to dodge the last attack.

He was hit by the next attack which would possibly paralyze him from his next dodge.

It did not paralyze him but it still hurt.

"Sorry! I hope you aren't mad for ruining that plan of yours." he smiled with vigor after he blocked the warp attack.

"Alright then time for the counter attack!" he said excited as he swung at her using a light sword combo equally 15% damage if it hit.

This next attack was likely to not hit but he was not going to be giving up yet.

"Alright time I heal up these wounds." Emil said as he held out another Apple Gel to help recover.

I need to try at least... The boy gaining some courage brought a smile to the ghost princess's face. It was his own courage this time as well and not that other guy pulling the strings. She stood ready though because this fight may not last too long with his state but she is proud none the less. She braced her shield with an... expressionless staredown at the boy since the Phantom Armor did not really have the ability to emote though it did not remove the intimidation factor at all. She withdrew her shield however for the Wrecker Phantom's Roll before uncurling after her strike landed and preparing herself. It was time for the boy's chance to hit her of own free will as the sword swings came right at her.

And she did not even try to move as the sword slashes hit the armor, scratching it's surface but did not seem to leave much of a dent otherwise. Instead she took the hits and as he recovered with the Apple Gel once more, she reached out to grip him in a heavy embrace with the armor, the grip seeming near unbreakable if she managed to make the hold. "I am proud of your initiative, but don't push yourself past your limits," She would state. If the grab succeeded she would spin around a few times before tossing Emil with a hefty throw. She notably would give some time for Emil to try and break free if he wanted to before actually performing the ol' toss. If the grab failed she would follow up with a slash to try and exploit a gap in his evasion.

Try as he might he did not break free and got thrown into a nearby wall that put his health pool at 0%

"Agh!" he would say as his body crashed into the wall.

Zelda won the match as Emil was knocked out cold. The Dark Aura surrounded Emil again as his other self, Ratatosk, got up for Emil as he was bruised and battered.

"I see you knocked Emil out." He would say calmly. "I will make sure to get this boy the rest he needs before we try again. I am proud of Emil for getting this far but he needs far more training if he wants to get better at fighting." The calmness of Ratatosk seemed different for the god like being but he was forcing Emil's body to move with his own energy and lifeforce as he barely stood up. "You win" he would say tiredly. He could barely move as it was as he leaned on his sword like a crutch.1d20+2·1d20

".... Maybe I tossed him a bit too hard.." Zelda lamented as Emil was knocked out by her critical toss and fell to the ground in KO. Then the monster king awakened once more and declared her victory... Well, she has to admit, this is the biggest dent someone put in the armor in a long time.... Actually ever. This Phantom Armor was pretty much invincible in her past experiences yet it had visible scratch marks. She... hopes that is repairable. "... I... have practiced swordplay so I can help him sometime. I'll walk you home too. You are too exhausted to take him back yourself." Zelda insisted as she walked to the boy and went to lift him and leave. The crowd called her name but she cared less than before.
