Appearance:
History On Li: During the events of Subspace, Wendy's mission had been clear - reunite the scattered forces of the Koopa Troop and drive them on to Bowser's hidden camp to assault the Subspace Gunship should he be betrayed by the King of Thieves, Ganondorf. When the world collapsed in on itself and became Li, Wendy tried to marched her army towards the source of the explosion to locate Bowser but her grunts became increasingly terrified of a sickness spreading through their ranks; many infected Goombas, Koopa Troopers and other minions roamed the countryside among malevolent black clouds. The disease took out entire squadrons from her forces, leaving her no other option but to set up defenses with her survivors, send out winged Paratroopas to scout out the landscape, and camp out until word returned. Most did not return, but thankfully one brought back word of the Mushroom Kingdom in ruins to the south and a glowing dome further south-west which was welcoming in all survivors. Bellowing out orders to turn around, Wendy marched them back towards the sanctuary.
After setting up a home in Life Sphere, Wendy preferred to avoid the events of the Gang Wars and instead began training with her most elusive surviving Troopers: Pom Pom and the Koopaninja girls. While all the crooks, gangs and clans exhausted their resources fighting each other, Wendy trained herself in combat so that one day she might claim a portion of Li's unclaimed territories as her own kingdom. Attempts to join the Magical Girl's Society for social status left her kicking and screaming outside their lodge doors which they kept firmly barred at her approach. Feeling sorely rejected, Wendy abandoned her dream of becoming a popular princess and instead swore revenge on the Magical Girl's Society plotting instead to become warlord of her own clan to rival Peach's... maybe even her father’s... and one day rise to become nothing less than Empress of Li.
Primary Attacks (3)
Chakram Ring: Wendy wields rings formed from magic energy as weapons which can be held in her hand, cast as projectiles or used as a ranged grapple. She can spend power to transform one into a red-and-white striped candy ring that can heal with a sugar rush.
- [Golden Ring - Light WIS attack. Does 5% combo-able damage]
- [Candy Ring - Light CHA heal. Does 1d8%+Cha Mod healing. Two-turn cooldown.]
Shell Bash: Wendy retreats into her pink shell and smashes into the enemy, sliding across the floor to collide into them, hopping into the air to get the drop on them from above, or slashing them with her spikes. [Medium STR attack 12% damage.]
Batter Up: Wendy summons her magic wand from its hiding place in her shell directly into her hand, swinging the metal rod and heavy purple gem as a bludgeoning hammer-like beatstick for a weighty blow with good knockback. [Heavy STR attack 18% damage.]
Special Attacks (3)
Pom Pom Drop: Wendy leaves a substitute where she was just standing and teleports next to the attacker. Her counter-attack is effective but it puts Wendy at risk when she uses it as the attack can be dodged, and it cannot counter Ultimate Attacks. [Activate if dodge roll roll is successful by 5, damage is 2x enemy attack, 3-turn cooldown.]
Doll Decoy: Wendy disguises one of her dolls in an illusion to appear as her, acting as a protective decoy. [One action sacrifices 5% of Wendy's HP to create a 1% HP decoy. Targeting Wendy when a decoy is active requires beating Wendy's Wisdom stat on a 1d20 + Wis mod perception roll, otherwise the decoy is targeted instead. 2-turn cooldown]
Fire Breath: Wendy blows Koopa fire at enemies. She can shoot fireballs or maintain a constant stream which will weaken but also set targets caught in the stream increasingly aflame the longer it keeps up. [First round is 8% combo-able DMG (Light WIS), second round is 10% DMG (Medium WIS) 50% chance of inflicting Burned status, third round is 5% DMG (Light WIS) 100% chance of inflicting Burned status.]
Sweet Treat: Wendy transforms her wand into a big lollipop and takes a lick. This gives her a temporary boost to her speed and strength temporarily. [+4 buff to STR and DEX for 3 turns. Three-turn cooldown.]
Final Smash (1)
Make it Rain: Wendy's unleashes a huge magical rain of golden coins that shower down onto the immobile target, granting them lots of money but also crushing them under the immense weight of wealth. The money turns out to be enchanted fool's gold which magically dissolves away after a short time. [60% damage to a single target]
