THE TAKAHASHI PROJECT
TEST ATTEMPT 1

In the countryside a group of cars drove towards the private entrance of the woods in an unknown country. The cars drove for a long time before stopping. "This is it, this is the path to the house." One of the passengers in the car waved his finger.

The driver nodded and instructed the other cars to park alongside them. They parked in front of a path that would lead the group to a manor that belonged to a kindly rich family, the family fled when the incident's began to occur. 

News broke out about the incidents and the group got assigned to investigate the manor.

They hope they can use the incident to change the world. If this project that the group are planning to do works, then the world could reach first contact. 

Contact with another world. 

The passengers got out of the cars.

The group were scientists and bodyguards who all headed to the manor, led by three people, two men and a woman. All three of them were scientists like the rest of the group.

Eight scientists followed the group, with five bodyguards following from behind. Morale had dropped in the the company that the group was working for last year follow the death of there boss. This trip was going to be hard for the group. 

Despite this, the men and the woman were pretty close. There names were Takahashi Bunta, Kaneki Hitomi and Kobayashi Matsuki. They were the head of Project Takahashi, based on Bunta and his daughter's family name. "Were almost at the manor, let's hope everyone get's along during these five weeks of hell." Bunta muttered to Hitomi, who was his wife and Matsuki, who laughed at Bunta's worry. 

"Bunta-kun, relax. Last year was hard for us all, but if the project is successful then we can create a new future for everyone in this world. And our daughter, she would love to see this world too when she get's older. She'll be proud of us and will follow in our footsteps." Hitomi reassured her husband, who smiled and grabbed Hitomi by the shoulder. 

"Our daughter's already interested in becoming a scientist like her mama and papa. She'll be wonderful." Bunta thought about his daughter's future.

Matsuki watched and turned towards the manor. "Love, I wish I had someone like that." He lamented as the three and the rest of the group stopped. 

Having arrived at the manor that belonged to the Minamoto family, before they, again left the home. "Let's get settled in. I heard this manor has about fifteen bedrooms." Hitomi pointed out as the group walked towards the front door of the manor.

Tomoko walked around the odd scenery, noticing how weird it was. Her vision began to blurry but as she walked around and began to trip up on her own feet. She began to hear muttering from afar. 

"Yukari-chan...NO!" 

"We have to save him, it's the only way." 

A flash covered Tomoko's vision and she felt herself falling...Until she smashed to the ground.

"Hey, hey are you ok?" Sounded the voice of a concerned male as Tomoko shot herself upwards on the couch she was lying on. She was in the room at the bottom of Crestfallen.

She was waiting for everyone in the mission to appear so she can enter the godless city and save her fathers. They got kidnapped by a cult, she got tired while waiting and decided to wait in a room nearby, but then she fell asleep. 

This is, until Akihiko woke her up. He was the second person who had appeared for the mission.

Tomoko played with her hair. "Uhh, huh, oh, thanks for waking me up, I must of fallen asleep, I tend to do that when I get bored." Tomoko stood up and stretched herself awake.

Akihiko stood up after her and straightened his collar. "Yeah, I get that feeling as well when i'm not spending hours upon hours of boxing. Glad to see that your here, and not in the mouth of some starvia freak." He smirked as Tomoko turned to him. 

"Don't worry about that, i'm always prepared to handle infected like them." Tomoko reassured Akihiko as the two walked out from the door and towards the door to the goddless city. "I take it your Akihiko Sanda, or Sanda Akihiko if you prefer." The two stood by the door with Akihiko unsure what to say to Tomoko.

"Um, yeah, I take it your apart of the weird fanclub that some of the girls at the Academy have made already?" Akihiko looked away, biting his lower lip, Tomoko shurgged. 

"Actually, when I was looking for a club to apply last week, your name was on the list for the boxing club. You were the only name on the list. It was your club, the occult club, the weird fangirl club that you mentioned or a detective club that Akechi runs." 

"Oh, did someone mention me?" 

Tomoko and Akihiko turned to see someone at the bottom of the stairs and standing in front of the two. Tomoko waved, Akihiko didn't. "Yes, it is I, i'm here to help find your missing parents Miss Obel." He walked over to the two, before looking at Akihiko.

"Ahh, I take it your that boy from the wrestling team." He smiled to Akihiko, who corrected him.

"It's boxing, and yeah." He looked away again from Tomoko and Akechi, the two looking at each other. 

"I'm sorry that this Chiaki cult has taken your parents. I solved many cases on missing parents before. It's lonely, when the people that raise you abandon you so sudden." Akechi's smile turned to a frown. What he said seemed to hit a sore spot on Akihiko, who cringed in annoyance, but didn't say anything. 

"Well thanks for coming, but my fathers will be ok. They handle situations like this back in my world. Now were still waiting for Mitsuru, Arle and Red, they should be here soon." And so the trio began to wait for the remaining group member's arrival. 

Tomoko and Akechi looked at the door, both feeling a sense of anxiousness. Akechi, being the happy detective that he is, didn't show it. 

But the two can't help but feel that something bad was going to happen when they enter the godless city. 

MISSION START!

The Godless City. Now that’s a name sure to attract tourists. Implications aside, not to go on a tangent, but the subject of gods was a unique one for Red. The question was not whether or not he believed in them. He sure did. In fact, he believed he could battle them into submission, capture them and make them obey his commands.
All over his world there were people who did just that. Leaders from across the spectrum from criminal organizations to straight up cults. To capture god is to become god, and that was an ambition all too many hath sought after.

But tangential as it was, that was not what he was here for today. The Chiaki cult had set its sights on capturing a… less grandiose target: Someone’s parents. If his personal reservations against cults and criminal organizations weren’t enough, the kidnapping of Tomoko’s fathers struck a personal chord with Red. He was going to bring them pay, even if one at a time.

The mighty roar of a Charizard echoed down from the sky before it’s mighty wingspan was seen, heralding the arrival of Red. Landing with a mighty thump, the heavy Fire/Flying type Pokémon dispersed in a flash of light and disappeared into the small red and white ball in his rider’s hand. Tucking the ball away securely, the trainer stoically made his way over to the four waiting for him.

“…” Without saying a word he scanned each of them with a turning glance before resting his eyes on Tomoko. She must have been the one who’s fathers were kidnapped. Not sure what to say, he nodded to her in a greeting of solidarity. Looking up at the gate to the Godless City, a glimmer of anticipation of what awaited on the other side lit up in his eye. Now if only the other two could arrive so they can get on with this. It’s bad enough he’s already has to slow down just to keep in step with these four.

And then, a young girl dressed in a red mini skirt and ornate 90s reminiscent red and gold armor floated on over to the group. She bore a striking resemblance to Arle, only her cape was tattered and worm by a millenia of fighting and her eyes--She had an aloof, almost weary look to her. The look in her eyes wasn't very inviting as her gaze swept the group. Rather, it was piercing and analytical After a few moments, her gaze softened a bit and she offered a smile with little heart in it. "Well--This is a bit more people than I usually get to work with." Shin!Arle greeted. "My name is Arle."

Tomoko, Akihiko and Akechi continued to wait.

Akihiko was starting to get impatient as he wanted to save Tomoko's fathers and beat up a few cultists, he want's to fight again after the events in his world, and make sure Tomoko doesn't suffer the loss of her fathers. He can't handle someone going through, the loss of there family.

The three soon noticed the arrival of Red and Arle. "Hi, thanks for coming to help." Tomoko greeted Red.



"Yes, the more people in this mission the better chance we have at saving this girl's parents." Akechi smiled, although his grin kind of looked, sadistic if Red noticed. Akihiko only waved, he wasn't a big fan of conversations.

"Hey." Tomoko waved to Arle, as did Akihiko.



"Hello." Akechi himself greeted.

With most of the party here, there was only one more person that the group needed to wait for to appear. Sure enough, the final member of the party soon appeared at the top of the stairs, riding on a motorbike.

She drove down the stairs and landed in front of the five to reveal herself by removing her helmet.





It was Mitsuru. Her appearance caused Akihiko to smirk, he's relieved that someone he knows will be joining the mission. Tomoko herself invited her to help find her parents.

The women shook hands. "Thank you for helping me find my father's Mitsuru, nice entrance by the way." Tomoko complimented.

"Thank you, I had to take my motorcycle here to get here o n time, there was some trouble I had to attend to back at the new dorms and I knew coming here on foot was out of the question. But still, thank you for inviting me along Obel-san, don't worry, we will find your fathers." Mitsuru reassured Tomoko about her father's safety. She was happy by it as she clasped her hands together.





"Thanks, I mean with everyone here it will be no problem." Akechi then decided to interrupt the woman's conversation.



"Ahh, I take it you two know each other?" Akechi questioned. He put his hands by his chin, wanting answers to Mitsuru and Tomoko's friendship.

"Yeah, we have the same class in Hylia Grace, along with Akihiko over there." Tomoko pointed to Akihiko who sighed.

"Can we start this mission already, I thought we were helping you find your parents Obel-san." Akhiko kicked his feet as Tomoko shook her head.

"Yeah, your right, we should enter the city and find my fathers, we'll get information as soon as we enter the city." Tomoko walked towards the door and opened it, allowing the party to enter the Godless City.





Which is as always, a mess. Tomoko, Akihiko, Mitsuru and Akechi looked around, as this was the teen's first time in the Godless City. Although for Red and Shin!Arle, this might be there 2nd or more times that they have entered the city. "This city, it sort of looks like." Mitsuru was unable to finish, although Tomoko guessed what it was her in her mind, she didn't say it.

"We should keep going, and see if we find anyone from the Chiaki cult that we can interrogate." Tomoko planned with everyone in the group.

"And how are we going to find a member of this cult?" Akihiko asked as the group began to move forward.

"Well there usually seen wearing purple clothes, there goddess wore purple in her mortal life according to the cultist I interrogated." Tomoko explained.

Akechi and Mitsuru kept there distance from Tomoko and Akihiko. They were looking for any signs of the Chiaki cult. The two stayed at the back.

So far nothing was threatening the group despite having entered a city full of demons.

Shin!Arle and Red can talk to one of the members of the group or find anything relating to the Chiaki cult.





Tomoko looked sad as she began to worry about her fathers, something which Akihiko took notice of. He didn't know what to say, but he didn't want Tomoko to keep her feelings hidden from the group. He coughed, which broke Tomoko's concentration.

"Huh?" She turned to Akihiko.

"S-Sorry, I just wondering...Are you ok?" He asked rubbing the back of his head.

Tomoko began to look sad again. "Well, i'm sort of worried about my fathers. They dealt with this kind of stuff before back in my world, but i'm thinking about the bad outcomes to this mission." Tomoko revealed, she continued.

"You know, like, what if the cult has already, done something to them and were unable to stop the cult, that kind of stuff." She lamented, Akihiko began to feel bad as him and Tomoko kept walking. "I know it's bad to think about that kind of stuff, since it's dropping your team's morale. I try to think about something else, but the thoughts on what this cult could be doing to my fathers, come back." Tomoko looked back at Akhiko.

"Uhh, like now, s-sorry if I---It's fine." Akihiko interrupted.

"I...I get those feelings too sometimes, like back when I worked for Mitsuru-chan team in my world. We would usually go on these missions to take down some demon freaks that we call Shadows. Sometimes though, I worry about what would happen if one of those monsters laid a hand on one of my friends." He revealed, beginning to remember what happened to one of his old SEES members.

"For instance, one mission, three of my friends got trapped on a train that was threatening to crash. I couldn't do anything since I got injured. It wasn't only there lives at risk, but countless others too, luckily they managed to stop the train on time. Sometimes, I wondered what would of happen if they didn't stop it on time, and what it would of meant for SEES, and the world." Akihiko began to look uncomfortable and him and Tomoko remained quiet.

She broke the silence. "Did...Did one of those shadows, get someone in your old team?" Tomoko asked. Akihiko shook his head.

"No, someone even worse did it...He took away someone close to us."

A few hours had past since the group had entered the Minamoto manor. The family said that the group can use the manor and so they spent hours preparing for the first experiment.

The first experiment involved contacting the person making the activity by scanning rooms.

While the five bodyguards stood outside the manor, each scientist got in groups of three.



Matsuki, Hitomi and Bunta were in one such group as they began to scan the kitchen. Unfortunately for them, there were no signs of anything supernatural in the kitchen.

"Got anything?" Hitomi asked her co-worker and husband.

The two men turned towards Hitomi. "Nope, nothing here." Bunta shook his head, Matsuki was the same, he showed Hitomi his scanner to show nothing.

The three scientists walked back to each other, looking annoyed. "Nothing here nor in the fifteen other bedrooms." Matsuki revealed, crunching his teeth.

"Guys, what if this whole incident that happened to the Minamoto's was a joke? Like you know, those fake ghost stories that plague the world all the time, were wasting our time here." Bunta grumbled, Hitomi wasn't so sure.

"We can't give up yet, we can't go back to H.Q with nothing, people are expecting something in this project. They want something after the bosses death. We have to try harder." Matsuki kept hoping to find something, although Bunta wasn't sure.



That was until the group had heard something coming from a cupboard near them. The trio turned.

"What the hell?" Hitomi raised her brow, as every cupboard in the manor began to burst open, frightening the three. They were soon shocked and relieved as the three ran forward to the centre of the kitchen. "Who is this?" Hitomi called out. She did it again as she began to tap on a counter, trying to contact the mysterious entity through morse code.

Matsuki began to freak out.

"Guys, we should leave, now!" Matsuki warned the couple, but Hitomi wasn't going to give up yet.

"No, we need answers, this is it, the moment we were looking for." Hitomi waited for answers from the creature.

Something began to tap back on the counter, which Hitomi, her husband and Matsuki listened too.

Hitomi grabbed a small notepad from her pocket and began to write down what the entity was tapping it.

The entity stopped as did the cupboards in the kitchen stopped opening and closing. They closed and all activity in the room ceased as the trio looked at the notepad. "It is coming, what does that mean?" Hitomi asked the men.

Matsuki looked uncomfortable while Bunta smirked. "I'm not sure, but do you know what happened?" He asked his cohorts.

"We made contact with another world."

It appeared Red wasn’t the only one who signed up for this mission. A Shiny Arle appeared! Red had to resist the impulse to capture her considering she was a human, thus all but worthless to him.
He hoped he could get a move on soon, all he had to distract himself from waiting was his suspicion of Akechi’s smile. Not a moment too soon, Mitsuru arrived on her motorcycle.
A motorcycle huh? Red had only now realized he hadn’t ridden on his own bike since Charizard learned Fly. As happy as he was to see her, Red couldn’t agree with Akhiko more. It was time to get on with the mission. The NPCs were taking way too long to open the door to the town.

Finally getting his first glimpse into the Godless City…the place definitely lived up to its name. Never before had Red beheld a city so bereft of the grace of Arceus. It looked even worse than Po Town.
It seemed as if blindly marching ahead and waiting for a random encounter was not the fitting strategy. Nor was going around and asking every random citizen about the Chiaki cult. He couldn’t just assume they were as inept as Team Rocket or Team Skull. If word got to them that he was looking for them, they might go into deeper hiding.

Instead, Red turned to Tomoko to inquire about the Chiaki’s typical behaviour. Perhaps in there lies the clue to tracking them down.
“...?”

After a very quiet walk around the city, Tomoko noticed that Red was looking at her while she was talking to Akihiko, causing the two to turn back towards the trainer and for Mitsuru and Akechi to notice him. "Huh, what's wrong?" Tomoko wondered. "I think that guy want's to know how this cult thing works, or what they look like." Akihiko asked Tomoko as Mitsuru and Akechi looked at Tomoko.

"You did inquire that the cultists look like they were in purple robes correct?" Mitsuru had asked Tomoko who nodded. "Right, in fact there robes were so long that it was hard to distinguish there facial features. I only saw the first cultist that I faced because I removed the robe myself. The best we can do is to find people in purple robes around here." The four began to look around, until Mitsuru caught something from a far. "Sort of like those two?" Mitsuru pointed out as the four slowly walked over to the two cultists.

They appeared to be walking towards something from a far as the four looked on, Tomoko then looked back at Red.

"I think were going to find there H.Q, let's go everyone." She motioned for the group to follow the cultists. They weren't close enough to the cultists just yet for them to hear what there saying, so far, the group were safe from getting caught during the mission.

With a single affirmative nod, Red confirmed Tomoko’s deduction that he wanted to know more about the cult. He then listened intently, stroking his chin as if calculating a strategy based on every word Tomoko spoke.
Purple robes huh? Perhaps they will not be so difficult to track down after all. Even if one were yet to know the nature of their movements, a simple stealth observation and recon would provide adequate means to track a member back to their lair.
And speak of the Giratina, there two were.
“...!”

Just as he would while sneaking up on any wild Pokémon rustling in the grass, Red stealthily tiptoed behind the purple robed cultists, keeping his distance and being sure to keep close to any environmental objects that he could duck behind at an instance’s notice should either of them turn in his direction.
Since his intention was to shadow them to their hide out instead of capturing them, Red made no attempt at getting closer beyond making sure they did not lose him in the crowd.

"Godless Kiochiji City", huh? An ominous name, with even more unsettling connotations. When Linne had seen the mission on the board, she'd been annoyed upon seeing the empty slot, and was quick to take it then sprint in the direction of the city. Of course, first she had to determine where it even was, but that was easily done, and didn't take much time thanks to Speed Star. So, now here she was, right at the entrance. Glancing at the recently scraped dirty and the fact that the gate was open, she was definitely late. That knowledge in mind, she took to the rooftops and started hopping a long, keeping an eye out for the group she was supposed to meet with. 

It didn't take much effort. Jeese, could those people even be less subtle if they tried? They were blatantly trailing two people in purple robes, a getup so stereotypical she wanted to puke. This was going to go bad fast. On the bright side, this is a type of city she's familiar with, so she should be easily able to step in in the inevitable situation things turn sour. Perhaps lay a couple traps further down the line. Then again, she didn't exactly come with anything other than Nameless and No Name. So this was definitely an issue... In the mean time, she stuck to the rooftops and watched from a distance, waiting for the other shoe to drop. Hopefully they didn't see here watching and get the wrong idea from her hoody.

The group remained quiet as the cultists that they were following began to talk. "Do you think that these two sacrifices will manage to unfreeze our goddess?" One of the cultists spoke to the other who shrugged as they turned the other way. Towards the group as Tomoko gasped.

"Oh crap, they're coming this way for some reason." Tomoko pointed out the obvious as Mitsuru looked at everyone, except for Lynne who was on the roof.

"Everyone stand back and make sure the cultists don't see you." She advised as the group hid from the sight of the cultists who walked past them and towards the building where Lynne was standing on.

"This is it. This is supposedly where our leader is." The cultists pointed out, not seeing Lynne as the group continued to watch.

"Whats wrong. Scared?" The second cultist asked as the first one slapped him.

"Of course not, this is my first meeting. I want to make a good impression, which means I have to kill...Any intruders on sight to please our leader, and then help sacrifice those two demons." The cultist informed before the two walked into the building as the group soon stood in front of it.

"Two demons. How odd, I thought we were here to rescue two humans?" Akechi was confused as Akihiko shrugged.

"Obviously this cult doesn't give a shit about whats human or whats a monster. Whoever they can capture they're going to sacrifice, like Obel-san's parents." Akihiko crunched his hands. "Which were not going to let happen." He told the group as Tomoko looked at him and nodded.

"Hmph, we already found where they're holding the sacrifice now, unfortunately, we also have someone else in danger." Tomoko looked up to the roof where Lynne was standing on. Mitsuru looked up and bit her lower lip.

"Darn it, we need to get to Lynne before any of the cultists do first. Lets go everyone, hopefully we'll get to her and Obel-san's fathers first." Mitsuru informed as Tomoko smiled.

"I'm sure my dad's will be ok and we'll get to them on time, we just have to have hope." Tomoko tried to think positively about the situation, as Akechi and Akihiko looked sadly at her. Tomoko noticed the frown from Akihiko's face as the group walked into the building.

"You ok? You looked sad back they're." Tomoko walked beside Akihiko while allowing for Mitsuru and Akechi to walk forward. Red can have the option to walk behind Tomoko and Akihiko or with Mitsuru and Akechi. Akihiko was facing away from Tomoko before she said something.

"Oh, uhh, it's just. You kind of reminded me of members from SEES, they were always optimistic and more social." Akihiko revealed as Tomoko looked confused.

"But weren't you also a member of SEES along with Mitsuru? Weren't you optimistic like everyone there?" She asked as he smirked.

"Well. Sort of, I was kind of a loner, at least, not for long. Another member joined and he kind of made things happier during the year we fought Nyx. Although it was still bleak here and there. I liked it when he was there, along with Shinji." Akihiko looked down as he and Tomoko continued to walk forward.

Tomoko smiled. "I'm sure Shinji misses you a lot, maybe he'll come here one day." Tomoko clasped her hands as Akihiko sighed. As he knew that wouldn't happen.

"Ok everyone, quiet down. Were halfway thro---Suddenly the lights in the hallway went out.

"Whats going on?" Akechi called out as the sounds of footsteps were soon heard from the hall.

"GRRGH, LET GO OF ME!" Screamed Akihiko as he was pulled away somewhere.

"Akihiko!?" Tomoko called out as she felt something. "Grr, let him go. He's with us you evil grue!" Tomoko called out before she suddenly stopped talking.

"Everyone ha---But Akechi was hit by something and became quiet as well.

"Akihiko-kun, Obel-chan, Akechi-san, whats happened, whats going on?" Mitsuru called out as the lights suddenly went back on. She was surprised to find that her and Red were now the only two in the hallway. Tomoko, Akihiko and Akechi having vanished. It seemed that the cultists had managed to capture them, but had forgotten Red and Mitsuru.

"Oh no, they're gone." Mitsuru looked upwards to hear footsteps above her and Red. "But Lynne-san is still in danger of also being captured. We must get to her before we can find the others Red." She told the Pokemon Trainer as she turned back and began running.

She knew it was bad to not look for her other teammates that are in danger. But they were planning to rescue Lynne first, and she knew that Akechi, Akihiko and Tomoko can look after themselves in any situation.

Elsewhere on the rooftop that Lynne was on, she could hear the sound of footsteps coming from a door into the building. "The meeting should begin soon. However we appear to have three intruders that we captured, and two more that might be running about. Lets make sure that they don't get the pixie box." One of the cultists spoke through the door, they're voices were loud. Meaning that they would soon reach the door and enter the rooftop.

They're was no other buildings nearby that Lynne can jump from and jumping off from this building can seem pretty dangerous. She can still try and jump from the building, or she can hide or fight the cultists that will come through the door any minute.

If Lynne would notice, she would see a box that was slightly moving around by the side of the door, as if they're was someone was trapped inside it.

(To hide from the cultists you must roll a DEX 15.)

THE TAKAHASHI PROJECT
TEST ATTEMPT 2

Matsuki, Hitomi, Bunta and the other scientists began work on they're next attempt to contact the other realm. After getting proof about the Minamoto's story, they can now begin more attempts to try and contact the world and if possible. Find a gateway into it, they had recorded a presence coming from the lounge of the manor which they are planning to do the attempt in.

"This is Takahashi, take two, we are going to use a device to see if we can contact a being from the spiritual world. We have reason to believe that they're is a being in this room as we speak and we will now try and contact them." Hitomi clicked a recorder she was using before pausing it to look at the others.

"Begin." Matsuki waved his hand forward as the group began to use a communications device to try and contact the demon that supposedly haunted the lounge.

"If you were in this room right now. Please tap YES onto this keyboard." Bunta asked the presence in the room. And soon the keyboard began to type three words.

YES

Everyone in the room gasped, but Bunta continued to ask it yes or no questions. "Are you from a world that is similar to ours?" Bunta asked the presence. Which typed again.

NO

Everyone in the room began to talk about what the message meant. "What is your world like?" He asked the next question as the keyboard typed up a word: Different. Bunta looked upwards. "Is they're anything dangerous about your world?" He asked another question as the device began to type out more words.

"Wow, I didn't know the words can change colour Takahashi-kun!" One of the Scientists looked happy at the colours.

But Bunta was more horrified.

"It...Doesn't." He revealed as Hitomi looked at the device and then at her husband.

"Ask what she is?" Hitomi advised as Bunta gulped and looked upwards.

"Who is she?" He asked, but the device caught on fire before the presence can type up the name of the being that is coming to they're world.

The scientists in the room, including Matsuki and Hitomi began to write up the results of Bunta's questions. Bunta himself was concerned about what the message was and began to walk out of the lounge. Hitomi and Matsuki watched as Hitomi began to follow her husband out of the room. "Darling wait!" She called out to him as she also left the room.

As Red silently stalked the sinister sect’s subjects, he couldn’t help but sense he himself was being sensed too. Taking a look up behind him, he couldn’t see anything that matched the power level he felt. As fascinating as it was, his targets for now were the Chiaki cult. He decided he’d come back later to track this entity down once that was over.

Red cocked an eyebrow at the cultists mentioning unfreezing their goddess. A frozen legendary? That meant it couldn’t be an ice type. Perhaps something weak to ice like a Grass or Flying type?
And just as he would for any wild Pokémon that turned around, Red stealthily ducked behind some scenery to avoid the cultists’ eyes.

These guys were unsettling. There was no doubt about that. To the point where they weren’t just saving a human sacrifice but a Dark-Type as well. It made little difference who they were going to save from them. In Red’s eyes, the bottom line was that they be stopped.

Red stoically proceeded into the building behind Tomoko and Akihiko when all of a sudden, the lights went out.
“…!” As quickly as he could, Red fiddled around himself in the dark in search of his Pokéballs. By the time he had found the one he was looking for and was ready to unleash it, the lights were back on and someone was missing. In fact, everyone was missing except Mitsuru and Red himself.
“…?!” Red looked around confused as to where the others were and angry at who took them. He couldn’t agree more that Lynne needed protection.

As Mitsuru ran ahead, Red decided he needed this Pokémon anyway. With a flick of the wrist, out of Red’s ball burst a fearsome orange dragon with a wingspan that would exceeded the limits of the hall if extended.

“Char!” Charizard roared, straining the acoustics of the cramped hall before turning to his master to await an order. Red signaled to his nose, commanding his Charizard to use Odor Sleuth to sniff out where his team mates or their kidnappers went.

Getting to this building had taken a lot of work, but it was definitely worth it. The cultists had entered, and it would appear her allies were under the assumption this was the HQ. If it was really the case, taking the rooftops was most certainly the best choice she could have made. Now they could engage in a pincer maneuver, she'll go in through the top, and work down to meet them while they likely work their way up to meet her. It was a simple plan, but sometimes the simplest of plans were the best of plans.  She briefly turned to face the doorway, and that's when she heard the cultists.

(The pixie box? Damn, it looks like something happened inside. Three intruders captured... That leaves 2 people down there. Whatever this Pixie Box is, I better not let them have it.)

Linne took note of the location of this box, and dashed over and grabbed it, before hopping off the side of the building, and plunging her blade in.

Damn! Too heavy! As she plunged the blade in, she began grinding down the side of the building, creating an exceptional amount of noise. There's no way they didn't hear that... She'd have to hope she can use it to her advantage. She tends to have too far of an imaginative mind, one she usually can reign in with her experience, but sometimes this childish brain gets the better of her, resulting in plans that simply go awry.

Mitsuru turned, noticing how Red's charizard was trying to locate Akihiko, Akechi and Tomoko. Inspired by this, Mitsuru summoned her persona Artemisia to help locate the trio. "My skills in regards to finding people are sort of weak. Regardless, I will help and see if we can find Sanda, Akechi and Obel-san as well." Mitsuru insisted as she tried to get Artemisia to help locate the missing members of the group.

Mitsuru had a weak signal, but she believed that she was sensing people. Below her and Red. "Wait a minute, I think I can sense two people who are not cultists at the bottom of this building. That's all I can se---Hey look!" Upon hearing those words, Artemisia disappeared from Mitsuru and Red as the former turned to where the sound was coming from.

The duo were close to finding a member of they're team, they just have to get past these three cultists first. "Dammit, I guess we have no choice but to fight if we want to get to Linne." Mitsuru told Red as she summoned her Persona again and began to fight.

Mitsuru took a step back. "Looks like the enemy's will attack. And I don't think marin karin will help at all in this situation." Mitsuru lamented at the dangerous situation her and Red were now in. Fortunately no other cultists had found them yet and hopefully Linne was doing fine.

As Linne went lower down into the building she would hear multiple members of the Chiaki cult talk about the upcoming meeting.

"You excited for the meeting in an hour?"

"Hell yeah, were finally going to sacrifice some demons for once and not people!"

"I sure hope that this will awaken our faithful goddess Chiaki from her slumber and she will grant us a lawful world!"

"That's not all, we actually do have some human captives now, one of them is the Detective Prince himself."

"Goro Akechi...Oh yeah, I heard that they have plans for him, you see..."

But before Linne could hear what the plan was for Akechi, she would hear something from above her. "Hey you, yeah you with the pixie box!" Cried one of the cultists who had entered the rooftops. "We were supposed to use that box to start off the meeting in an hour. Were so going to kill you!" The other cried out as the two cultists took out two daggers and dropped them towards Linne.

Looks like she would have to find information on Akechi later. As right now, it was time for her to dodge.

(Roll a 15 in DEX twice to dodge both falling daggers. Failure will result in Linne getting pierced and gaining 30% damage from the two daggers that she failed to dodge.)

Akihiko woke up, breathing heavily as he tried to recover from being knocked out. He rubbed his head, feeling a slight pain from it. "Argh!" He let go of holding his head and looked nearby. He saw that Tomoko was also in the same place as him, which turned out to be a cell in some sort of basement somewhere, probably the same building everyone else was in.

And fortunately, her book that she was using was lying on top of her. Akihiko quickly walked over to Tomoko to wake her up. "Hey, hey, Obel-san?" Akihiko quietly called out as Tomoko slowly opened her eyes. "Uhh." She slowly sat up, recovering from being knocked out. But upon seeing Akihiko she sighed in relief.

"Akihiko, i'm glad that you're ok. I thought some grue took you or something. I got worried when the lights in the hallway everyone was in turned off." Tomoko revealed to Akihiko who smirked. "Heh, I would handle some grue. But those ignorant shits that work for Chiaki managed to pull one on me, and by the looks of it. They did the same for you." Akihiko looked back at Tomoko as the two stood up.

"Yeah, looks like were captured. Hopefully Akechi, Red, Mitsuru and the girl on the rooftop got away. But fortunately they don't have to worry about us seeing as how were going to escape this prison we got ourselves in now." Tomoko revealed as Akihiko smirked as the two walked towards the cells. "Thats...Great." He didn't know what to say. As he was starting to act shy again.

As the two stood by the cell, a door at the end of the room began to open and three figures began to walk out of it. "Grr." Akihiko kept quiet as the three stopped by the twos cells.

"Ahh, it seems you two are finally awake."

Tomoko's body tensed when she heard that voice. Her eyes widened as she took a step away from Akihiko and her hands slightly twitched. Akihiko's eyes widened as well as he realised who that voice was...He heard it before.

It...It was...Him.

"Y-Y...You can't be real." Tomoko spoke out loud as Akihiko turned towards her. "Wait, what do you mean..." Akihiko turned back towards the trio who grabbed the top of they're cloaks. "Who are you. What the hell are you going to do to us!?" Akihiko demanded that the trio answer his question, as the one on the right laughed.

"Ha, you're always were the aggressive one of SEES, and now it seems you've been finally captured by us." The second figure sounded like a man. But the third figure in the cloak, sounded like a woman.

The trio soon removed they're cloaks, and revealed themselves to Akihiko and Tomoko. The latter putting her hands to her mouth in horror at the trio. While Akihiko stood back near Tomoko. "n-But..." He was at a loss of words, similar to Tomoko.

It was raining that night at the manor, which was strange, at the news reporter said it was going to be a dry week. But nobody in the manor cared, especially Hitomi. As she headed to the bedroom her and Bunta were staying in for the week. "So, mind telling me whats wrong?" Hitomi stood by the doorway to the bedroom. Having finished brushing her teeth.

Bunta was already in bed, looking upset and not at his wife. Who soon joined her husband in bed. "Look. I know that you're upset over the experiment we did earlier today. It's kind of weird that were close to contacting another dimension but trust me. I don't think what were dealing with here is dangerous." Hitomi tried to reassure her husband.

Who slowly turned towards his wife. "How, remember the message Hitomi-chan? I feel as though something wants to join this world, and if this female entity succeeds. It could change the world, for the worst. It was as if it was trying to warn us, stop us from going any further in the experiments for humanity's safety." Bunta revealed his worries as he looked down at his hand.

But Hitomi grabbed them. "Don't be like that, i'll make sure that whatever happens. Nobody will get hurt, were going to make breakthroughs with our research in this manor. Then were going to go home to our child and celebrate as we open a gateway to a brand new world which will help us all...Especially after losing our boss so soon." Hitomi looked the other way, only for Bunta to hug her.

"I love you." Bunta told his wife who smiled, unknown to the two. Matsuki was watching by the door, looking...Sad.

"I love you too sweetheart, and don't worry about that strange message, everyone in the new world is probably. Just scared of humans." She tried to reassure her husband. Soon after, the two went to sleep for tonight in preparation for the next attempt of the Takahashi project the next day.

Akechi wasn't feeling so good...He couldn't move either in the room he was in...It was so familiar as it looked like. An interrogation room, the similar room he was in when he...Supposedly killed Akira that one time. Of course, he turned out to be alive, but it looked all familiar..."Grrg!" Akechi cried out, he...Was fed something, and it made him sick.

His hands were tied at the back of the chair he was on. Preventing him from escaping this room. Or to find anyone else in the group. He was alone, his deepest darkest fear.

Which only became worse when the door to the room opened and someone entered the room. It was a man, who walked towards Akechi and sat on the table in front of him as Akechi looked in. Trying to keep himself from being sick.

As he did, the figure moved towards Akechi. And stroked his hair, which brought back some...Unpleasant memories. 

"Heh, brown was her favourite colour after all. She always did adore you...Despite what you were."



Akechi's eyes slowly widened as he shook his head. "N-No..." He slowly looked up and as he breathed heavily. He realised who the figure was. Which he couldn't believe. "Pl-please no." Akechi tried to move, but then he remembered that he couldn't. He was trapped, trapped in a room.

With his father.

Ever alert in this situation, Charizard stopped to look back at Red who was looking back at Mitsuru who was summoning more trackers for their search party. While Charizard had a lead of the smell of someone trying to escape down the hall, Mitsuru was sensing two people at the bottom of the building who weren’t cult members. This interested Red equally as they were likely to be their partners.
Pursuing Charizard’s bounty on their way to the bottom of the building, they had indeed run into who Red was expecting: a trio of cultists.

Not wanting to waste time on these three mooks while his allies were in danger, Red ordered his Charizard to make quick work of them.

As the cultists had started talking, she was hoping she had gotten lucky and they were just deaf. But, she quickly found herself sighing as they threw out a statement she had heard at least a few hundred thousand times over. Even if she did die it's not like she would stay dead, no matter how much she would prefer it. Possessing another girl's body would be troublesome... And just add onto the total number of young girls who's lives she had destroyed through merit of existing.

"You don't have the experience or skill necessary to kill me. I can't allow you to ruin someone else's life by doing so either."

Linne expertly yanked No Name out of the wall and knocked the daggers away, before she stabbed it in once more and used it to launch herself. She soared past the the two, No Name torn out of the wall for a second time, flipping into the middle of the roof, before landing perfectly. Upon her 10 point worthy landing, she turned towards the cultists.

"If you want this Pixie Box so bad..."

She stabbed No Name into the ground... And opened the box, before dropping it, figuring whatever was inside would come tearing out before it hit the ground.

"You can have it. KUUGA!"

She then shot a Sky Fang from Nameless, which she had drawn into her left hand, and dashed towards them, ready to punish whatever error they made.

Of course, she wasn't just going to stop there. A couple swift strikes with Nameless were up next, right upon Cultist 1.

Upon finishing her brief combo upon the first unfortunate cultist, she turned towards the second, and rushed him down, ready to end him in a single blow.

Well. The odds of this one hitting are low, but if she did, she fully intended on sending the second cultist flying off the building itself. Unfortunately, the initial strike was sloppy, she simply couldn't get Nameless to move the way she wanted it to. Akihiko clenched his fists in anger at the presence of the trio that were standing in front of him and Tomoko. It was Strega, he thought they were dead back in his world, he watched all three of them die...Well.

Chidori managed to recover and managed to move away from Strega's influences thanks to Junpei. But he did know Takaya and Jin were dead.

Tomoko, fearful of Takaya for some reason, quickly looked away from the trio so they don't properly see her face. Especially Takaya.

"How the hell is this possible. You disbanded when we went to stop Nyx!" Akihiko demanded to know how Takaya and Jin were still alive.

"Come on, do you really think we'll last that long in the afterlife? We have our ways on coming back, and now that we got you in our clutches. We can finally start ending you guys one by one like before." Jin smirked at Akihiko, who looked disturbed by what he said.

"I think what my partner is trying to say is...We are not the ones that have died in you're world due to incompetence. In our version of events, all three of us won, we slowly managed to kill off you're group one by one. Until only you, you're friend...And the girl he loves were the only members left. They fought us but we managed to easily deal with them before the girl say, had a chance to deliver a fatal blow onto one of us.

We repaid her attempts at killing us by sticking a bullet through her fragile brain." Takaya smirked as Akihiko's eyes widened.

"N-No..." He couldn't believe what he was hearing as Tomoko slowly turned towards Akihiko.

"Did you...Know that girl in your timeline?" Tomoko asked as Takaya continued.

"And let us not forget what we did to you and Shinji." Takaya continued as Akihiko tried to charge forward.

Only for Tomoko to grab his arm. "I'll kill you if you laid another hand on Shinji!" Akihiko yelled out as Tomoko kept a firm grip on his arm.

"Akihiko, don't give into your anger, they'll easily exploit it!" Tomoko tried to warn Akihiko as Takaya continued.

"Heh. I remembered when we walked towards the both of you. Your legs were broken thanks to Chidori Sanda-san. You're friend tried his best to shield you...But we pulled him away and let's just say he had a very long torture session with Medea that lasted quite a long time...You barely looked like...Well what you look liked now once we finished with you. We made Shinji watch every single second, we wanted him to break. We knew he was the most toughest member of SEES and we wanted to see him whimper like the coward he was." Jin continued for Takaya as Akihiko started to become angry again.

But he knew. He couldn't fight them right now, he didn't want to make anyone in his team upset.

"You...Monsters, your sick and twisted and worship a false god!" Akihiko spat back at the trio as Takaya smiled.

"Of course...After we made him watch as we destroyed the last part of your corpse...We knew we had to deal with him, fortunately for you Aki, he didn't break, but he did want to die...So we provided it for him...

Multiple times throughout his body, and...As our new friends told us. He died like this in your're world as well. 

We enjoyed every last one of it."

Akihiko bashed his fist into the cell he was in, causing his knuckles to bleed.

"Akihiko!" Tomoko cried out as Akihiko looked back up at the trio.

"I'll kill you, i'll kill all of you. You hurt them all, my friends...Shinji...HER!" He looked back down at the ground.

"How could of you do this to them...Its inhumane!" Akihiko squeezed his hands at the jail cell. He was full of rage over hearing what happened, to another group of SEES. His feelings, anxiety and worries came crawling up to him and it started to make him lash out at the worst time.

He...He didn't want it to happen with the team he was with now. Hearing that Shinji, everyone, the leader died undignified deaths against this group of Strega, made him want to avenge him.

That was when he felt someone touch his hand, and he slowly looked up to see Tomoko looking down at him, with a worrying glance. "Akihiko...I'm sorry." She felt sorry for Akihiko and wished to confront him however she can. She wanted to save her fathers but she started to worry when Akihiko lashed out at Strega.

"Ahh, why if it isn't...Obel-chan."

Tomoko turned as Akihiko delivered a heavy high, but he stood beside her as he glared at the trio. "Why...I haven't seen you again since you were little girl." He reached and touched Tomoko's hand that was on the cell and smirked. "You've...Grown." He smirked as Tomoko looked disgusted. As did Akihiko as he slapped his hand away.

"Stay the hell away from her!" Akihiko warned as Jin quickly grabbed onto his silvery hair and pulled him forward.

"Don't you dare hurt him!" Jin warned as Tomoko whacked him on the arm.

"You let go of him!" Tomoko told off as Jin yelped and let go.

Chidori remained silent as the duo took a few steps back from Strega. "Ugh, let us not waste anytime...We will keep them in here until they have given up hope for a rescue. Until then...We must leave. Goddess Chiaki will show her presence once again soon." Takaya turned to the side towards the door as he walked towards it.

Followed by Jin and Chidori, the latter looked depressed for some reason as the trio walked towards the door, leaving Akihiko and Tomoko to starve to death.

"Have fun dying together you two." Jin taunted as the three left the room to see the goddess that had helped bring them into this world.

Leaving Akihiko and Tomoko once more in the room they were in.

Akechi continued to look away from his father. As he was still...Sick, and dizzy, he wonders if his father was real. He couldn't be...Unfortunately, a quick grab by the hair and a smash on the table quickly changed that for him. "ARGH!" Akechi cried out as Shido looked down at his son.

"What a runt, you have the nerve to not look at me...The one who helped you exist in this world. If I haven't met...Her, you wouldn't even exist." Shido sounded...Disappointed in his son.

"Your...Not real..." Akechi closed his eyes as he laid his head on his table. "You can't be real." Akechi felt a tap coming from beside him and as he weakly opened his eyes...He suddenly saw a dagger stab into the table beside him.

Causing his eyes to quickly open as Shido smirked. "Oh believe me...I am very much alive thanks to Chiaki-chan, and now she allowed me to have a personal talk with you. Because of the trap you and your god awful friends had fallen in." Shido spoke as Akechi continued to look away from his father, who laughed.

"Tell me...Do they knew about...Your sins? Do they even know if your even still alive. Or dead like everything else in this god forsaken planet?" Shido asked as Akechi ignored him...As he couldn't help but feel...That he has a point.

Shido snickered as he looked around the room.

"It's funny isn't it? This room. Is sort of like the one he found himself in...You know, Akira Kurusu?" Shido said his name, which caused Akechi to snap back.

"Leave him out of this!" Akechi snapped back...Before feeling something touch the center of his head.

It was a gun.

"It's funny, now your the one whos having a gun shoved at your're head...And maybe, just maybe. I can have you go back to her...And away from here...Forever."

Two of the cultists were hit by Charizard, but unfortunately the second cult member managed to dodge his attack and smirked at Mitsuru, Red and Charizard. "Crap, they're about to attack once more. Defend yourselves." Mitsuru warned the two as they began to fire off more spells towards the trio.

"ARGH!" Mitsuru cried out as the maragion from the last cultist managed to badly wound one of her legs. She looked down at it and was fortunately not burnt as she looked back at the cultists as she prepared for her attacks. "You will pay for that!" She warned the trio as she prepared to attack.

And finally they're was Linne, who, unlike everyone else in this post actually had luck on her side as the attacks that she did on the cultists managed to easily knock them out. Seeing as how they were new recruits and thus had no magic unlike the other members and only had daggers. Which they lost when they dropped them on Linne.



As for the box, it quickly ripped open to reveal a group of Pixies who looked down at Linne and smiled at her. "Thank you for rescuing us. Those cultists were going to lost us as slaves to the lawful monster and if we failed to provide them with enough of our magic then were to be executed had you not come and rescue us!" The lead fairy Tinker spoke warmly, followed by her partner, Belle.

"For your kindness we will give you two of our items that you can use anytime during your quest here." Belle joyously spoke as she removed a piece of her hair which she gave to Linne. Along with a battle.



"Take this bottle and a hairstring. The former will heal all of your wounds should you become badly injured. Unfortunately my magic is weak unlike the other pixies here. So the item will become useless once you leave this city." Belle explained as Tinker pointed to the hair string.

"As for the string. If you manage to burn it up, then we will come to your aide for one time only!" Tinker explained how the magic hair string worked with Linne as the pixies began to fly away.

"Good luck mortal, and we wish you luck and for not to become captured like the other prisoners in this building." Tinker and Belle waved goodbye to Linne before flying off.

However, before Linne could have a chance to decide what to do next. She was stopped by a deep sounding and angry voice. "WHATAREUDOING!" The voice called out as a fatter pixie flew down towards Linne. Looking very angry. "I'M JULIA, WEREISMYSISTERS!?" Julia demanded answers from Linne.
