But to no avail as the kick struck true and nearly knocked the wind out of her, despite the pain, she instinctively threw up her bubble shield in anticipation of the backhand, knowing full well that being stunned is not gonna be pleasant.

Shantae would then try to avoid getting clobbered by the punch, but alas, it wasn't meant to be.

Shantae would take the punch hard, and it hurt her more than that kick ever did. Shantae would begin to wobble as though she were about to collapse on the spot, but she pulled herself together and instead of talking, pulled out the flintlock pistol and opened fire on Captain Falcon!

Shantae would then attempt to try dancing again in a bid to hold back the pain that she was feeling throughout her body.

Still comfortably within his groove, Captain Falcon moonwalked his way out of Shantae’s line of fire, expecting another wave of hair whips and scimitars being thrown his way. What he saw instead was a rather woozy looking opponent, near the state of collapsing! That was fantastic! Papa Falcon had always told him that the only good workout is the kind that makes you not want to wake up the next morning. In fact, Captain Falcon was jealous that he wasn’t in as nearly as much pain as Shantae was.

Upon further consideration though, it might be troublesome if she did collapse, she seemed to be nearly on the verge of doing so. She needed to hear the results of the match after all and she couldn’t do that unconscious! “Don’t worry-” he called out as he began to sprint headlong across the battlefield yet again. Unfortunately, it seemed that she misinterpreted his attempts at chivalry as she quickly pulled out her pistol and began to blindly fire on him. The first bullet nearly grazed his radical helmet, which was most certainly not radical.

As he continued to run rampant through the barrage, Captain Falcon slipped straight through the next round of bullets, gracefully navigating through their path.

Getting closer to her position, the bullets were getting a bit tougher to outmaneuver, so he decided to bypass them completely. He leapt into the air with a mighty spring in his step. As he reached his maximum height and was thrusted into freefall, he took the form of a swan dive and aimed it directly at Shantae. “-I got you!” he completed his sentence.

Performing a mid-air barrel roll, Captain Falcon swung his trajectory away from Shantae just enough so that he didn’t collide with her, but instead landing directly next to her, however his outreached hands attempted to pull her in so that they both tumbled together. His less than graceful landing was planned though, as evident by his deftly preformed summersaults that sprung him back onto his feet. Should everything play out according to plan, he should have Shantae safely resting upon his splayed-out arms.

“Ha ha! I thought your feet could use a little rest, you’ve been dancing your poor soles away!” he spoke comfortably. The moment of chivalry was cut short a bit as he realized that she didn’t look too badly injured, in fact, a little extra might just make her stronger! “And now let’s go for the suplex!” he shouted energetically as though he was a workout instructor.

Given the position that Shantae was in, a suplex was not the easiest to perform, so instead he merely flung the woman across the battlefield, though she could easily tumble her way out of the predicament and be no worse for wear.

Linda took a few deep breaths and lowered her horn. She looked down at Captain Falcon and Shantae and waved her arms upwards. "Theeeeeee match, is now over!" Linda yelled to the top of her lungs, which caused a wave of applause and even some fireworks to go off, one of which had a picture of Captain Falcon's face, while the other was that of Shantae. "Where did they get the fireworks?" Rio asked, Linda shook her head, confused as well. The two moved away from the tower and began to head to the bottom to where Captain Falcon and Shantae were.

A few minutes later, they arrived to give off the results of the fight. Linda was holding a suitcase.





"You two were excellent fighters, especially you Falcon. Your a stud when you dodged those attacks." Rio flirted with Falcon, before Linda held out the suitcase and opened it to reveal the trophy and three extra thunder badges. "But now, a winner will be decided. Once we give out three of these badges to you two for your performance in the fight." Linda grabbed the first thunder badge.



"The first thunder badge goes to...Shantae, as her dancing as impressed both of us!"




"The next person to get the thunder badge is Falcon, for his awesome falcon move's."




"And finally, Shantae get's the final badge for remaining strong even while Falcon dealt heavy damage to her." After handing the last of the badges to Shantae. it was now time for the results of the fight.






"Now...Calculating the damage and appeal in total, we can now determined the winner of this fight...AND IT'S...

"And with that, the fight ends with the half genie barely winning. Well done you two, you preformed excellently!" Linda threw the trophy to Shantae, which was made out of paper mache. "So now what?" Rio asked as Amigo and Samba soon appeared, the former shake his maracas happily. "WE CELEBRATE!"





As Amigo, Samba, Linda and Rio began to dance and march out of the arena, the audience quickly followed soon. Five minutes later, they were gone and the arena was empty, leaving Shantae and Falcon as the two people left in the stadium.

Well. That was the fight in that bag all taken care of, Shantae could barely move due to the pain of that punch, though she did give Captain Falcon a thumbs up to show that she was not a sore loser as she fell unconscious.

She was still very much alive and needed rest to deal with her first loss despite the fact that she was smiling that she got to see a fight through to the very end.

Captain Falcon recoiled away from his opponent as the match was officially declared to be over. While he would be psyched beyond belief over which of them were the ultimate victor, he was rather complacent with either result. Who won really didn’t matter to him so long as they were both able to get a blood-pumping and extreme work out! And while it seemed that Shantae got the better end of that deal, Captain Falcon learned a few tricks of his own from the battle, so he didn’t regret it. The sway of the dance felt far healthier for his aging body, so it might be a technique that he would use again sometime soon.

As he was announced as the winner though, Captain Falcon quickly realized something, that meant that he got a free pass to train at Lt Surge’s gym. With a proper fist pump, Captain Falcon celebrated the occasion, though left the partying to the monkeys and scantily clad women. He zipped over to Shantae’s location, exchanging a thumbs-up between them to show that they both enjoyed the action.

Just as he did though, his watch began to beep. He curiously investigated it, completely forgetting what he set the alarm for. With a snap of his fingers, he instantly remembered and snatched at his gun holster. Instead of an appropriate side arm, it contained a protean shake. Captain Falcon popped it open and prepared to gulp it down before noticing that a stray buckshot had burrowed clean through the bottle, rendering it completely empty. Instantly feeling woozy, Captain Falcon reeled back. “No! Insufficient protean!” he called out before collapsing atop his unconscious opponent, quickly clocking in a few rem cycles himself.
