Rider's whole body ached, yet her brain and heart pleaded her to run. She eventually stopped to take a breath, hoping that...whatever were those things...lost track of her.

"Kyahahahaha!"

Her heart jumped, and she started running once again. She clearly didn't sidetracked them. It's like they copied every movement that she did.
Unfortunately, her legs began to falter. Her little body had wasted a lot of stamina by that point.

"N-no...I can't get tired now...!!" She whimpered to herself.

Unfortunately, her body didn't move. Either she was going to embrace the fact those creatures were going to get her, or hope that help was on the way.
But what were the chances that somebody was there...?

Paula flew towards the crash site of the meteor In Hyrule Crater, noting It's largeness and was intrigued by It. "Odd...Why would a comet crash here, well It Is called Hyrule crater, so maybe comets are mostly dragged here..." Paula thought to herself as she landed at the crash site and looked around, but not too much because she want's to wait until Arle get's here...Paula was also wearing a green version of her dress today as she felt It fit the mood for this mission.

Upon landing Paula thought. "I wonder If that girl's nearby...Either way, something doesn't feel right." Paula thought as she looked around, and quickly heard a voice from afar. Upon hearing the voice, Paula sent out a telepathic message asking If anyone Is around, as if she just shouted she'll attract unwanted attention from infected.

"Is anyone there, please respond In your mind If your able to...Are you the girl were looking for, If that's you."

As it just so happened, the one and only Arle Nadja had made a habit of frequenting the crater. She was tracking a powerful magic hiding in the area when she became aware of the sounds of a chase. Not being much of a bystander, Arle went to investigate! To her shock it was ... Rider?

Rider! The smaller girl had collapsed before a crowd of enemies. Who picked on little kids like that?! ...Losers, that's who. Losers who were about to get their faces beaten in. Arle took a deep breath, channeling the power of the seraphim orb into herself. She was going to need a bit of strength for what was to come.

The sound of fluttering wings would be heard by Rider as a figure shot forward through the air towards her.

Valkyrie Arle has joined the battle!

Arle swooped in low as Rider's stalkers closed in on her, holding out her arms and scooping Rider up into them to heroicly rescue the smaller girl from danger. ...And then... she fell. Arle wasn't a perfect flier, and picking Rider up at high speeds had knocked her wildly off balance. She wound up flipping forward heels over head, wrapping her arms and wings around Rider to protect her from the incoming impact of them hitting the ground. She herself had armor and good sense to protect her.

Wham! Arle landed on her back and bounced for a few feet, skidding along the ground before coming to a stop. She then moved to stand back up with the exhausted Rider in her arms and face their mystery assailants.

"Sorry about that... Hope I'm not too late."

When Rider attempted to run again, somebody was communicating with her...inside her head. Was her imagination playing tricks with her?
Not knowing what to think of this, Rider decided to think back. She sincerely hope it wasn't a mind trick. "I-I need help, there's weird things following me! I dunno what I did wrong, but...please save me!" She thought, hopeful that the message was going to be actually heard.

Then suddenly, somebody took her away to the sky. Maybe help and the message did come by after all!
...Well, sure, they fell off back to the ground a few seconds later, but it was better than Rider having to fend herself over the amount of pursuers that she had.

She looked up to see the face of her rescuer, and to her much-delighted surprise...
"M-Ms. Arle! You're here as well?" She asked innocently while trying to catch her breath and recover her stamina.

But this calm wouldn't last.

Suddenly, those things approached them, eventually showing themselves.
They looked like Rider...well...their form looked like Rider. Only instead of looking like near-perfect clones of her, they looked like shadowy reflections with a tint of wine red around them and glowing yellow eyes and apparently lacked mouth and emotions.

"Ufufufufu...~" One of them laughed mischievously, using a near-perfect imitation of Rider's voice.

"O-oh...no...they cornered us..." Rider mumbled, hiding behind Arle. "A-and...I'm in no condition in helping you, Ms. Arle..."

"Why am I so useless...?" She thought to herself, nearing tears.

Paula turned towards the source of the voice as It replied back, saying she need's help, possibly being the girl she needs to rescue. "Dont worry, I know where you are now, I'll be there In a second!" Paula replied back as she ran towards the voice and soon saw a girl, who was quickly being lifted up Into the sky by Arle, who fell soon after. Paula walked towards the two wondering If there ok. "You two ok?" She said as Arle said that she hoped she wasn't late for anything.

"You were more close to the girl were supposed to be saving Instead of me, so good job so far partner, Paula Polestar by the way, your also right on time." She said to Arle as she looked over to the girl. "I'm guessing your the person were trying to save...And the one who spoke to me earlier due to your whimpers." Paula said as she turned towards the clones, with the girl saying that there now cornering them.

Paula turned towards the two. "Be careful, these clones can morph Into us and copy our exact attacks...And I got an idea on how we can handle them." Paula said quickly thinking of a plan, she turned towards Arle and Rider, with the latter moping about how useless she was In the fight that was about to occur, Paula tried to reassure her.

"Actually, your not, do you have a mirror or a reflecting Item I can use?"

Arle frowned as Rider chose to leave her grasp. That was not safe at all. Not one bit. How was she supposed to dodge without putting Rider in danger if she was standing behind her? Nnn... "That's right." Arle replied, turning her head and smiling at Rider. "And I won't let them hurt you again." Arle announced, spreading her legs a bit and shifted into a fighting stance. She leveled her divine lance at the shadow clones, confident that she was better than any mere fakes.

"In the name of Puyo Puyo... I will punish you!"

The way Arle smirked suggested she had had a bit of fun making that reference. Being cornered or alone didn't bother her. She was used to being alone. ...Wow, that was a dark thought.

Or not. Another girl came and received a funny look from Arle in response. "Uh... Yeah." Arle replied, a tad confused by Paula. Very confused. Utterly lost. Who exactly was she talking to? She couldn't tell half the time. Arle glanced back at Rider. "Just make sure to stay behind me where they can't get you, alright?" she instructed.

Rider saw Paula appear up next to Arle. Was that the girl who sent her that telepathic message? Because she was sure Arle didn't knew telepathy.

She noticed how both girls seemed to talk rather casually, despite the possible danger in front of them. It was somewhat envious to see that kinda bravery, but then again, Rider actually liked being somewhat aware of potentially dangerous foes. Yeaah, maybe it's better for someone to be at least semi-aware.

Then Paula turned around and asked her a question. Her attempt of cheering her up kind of fell flat due to Rider interpreting the message as 'if you don't have any item like this, you're not gonna be useful'. And...what would you know? She had none of these.

Despite all that, though...she put on the bravest face she could muster and glanced at both Arle and Paula.

"Listen...I'm sorry...I may not have a mirror or something to reflect an attack...but...if you manage to hold them off while I rest...I can guide you to that comet that is spewing them out...and...maybe...I-I can fight too...! P-please...just hold them off until I can recover myself...!" She pleaded.

((In order to Rider to truly join the fray and guide you to the comet, she must rest until at least 3 posts. It's your job to either shield her from the oncoming Cosmic Clones, or attack the Cosmic Clones. While there are many, their defense is basically the same as a multi-man team (imagine Wireframes or Fighting Mii Teams. It takes at least a 10%+ damage attack to knock them out.
If Rider ever gets hit during rest, the countdown will reset.))

Rider kept herself hidden behind Arle, starting to recover her stamina.

Paula looked as Arle and Rider replied to Paula's question In there own way, with Arle being confused as to why Paula needs a mirror or something to reflect attacks, and Rider feel's she's being useless and promises to be better once she rests for three minutes, Paula turned towards the clones. "Well ok...I'll see If we can still attack them without a mirror or reflecting item...I was thinking we could reflect attacks on them If there able to take on our appearances and attacks." Paula said. "But first..." Paula spoke again as she cast PSI Shield on Rider to protect her from the clones attack.

However before she can attack, the clones shot a spell towards them...It was very weak, but she should dodge anyway. "Yikes!" Paula said as she walked away from the vento blast that's coming towards her.

Seeing the attacks coming from a mile away, Arle moved to effortlessly--...Or, no. She couldn't dodge, now could she. Not while Rider had decided to take a nap behind her. Arle was forced to stand there and take it, which is what one could only describe as 'not her specialty'. Arle clutched at her chest as she was slammed with repeated attacks. The attacks didn't do much damage on their own but combined they dealt Arle a cruel blow that took her breath away. At this rate, she might die before Rider even woke up. She had to heal herself, to make sure that didn't become an issue. Arle's hand began to glow with a holy light as she took the edge off of her wounds with magic.

The mage-knight then shifted her stance, moving to stand directly over Rider so that she had less to worry about from a flank. She was fairly confident Rider had no interest in looking up anytime soon anyway. "Get them off of me. I can't approach them!" Arle protested, apparently in Paula's direction. She herself had very limited ranged capabilities in her current form. Most of her magical strength was going towards maintaining this transformation. She did have one answer, however... Arle closed her eyes for a moment and began to pray to Viridi, requesting aid in smiting these clones. After a moment, a burst of holy magic filled her hands, which she promptly threw at the clones!

The Cosmic Clones who tried to jump at Rider tried to avoid the attacks, but failed. As a result, they all got burnt to a crisp, dissolving in the air. The other clones looked at each other and started to mutate into the newcomers. One half of the remaining clones turned into Paula, while the other half turned into...normal Arle. Guess there was limits to their transformations, after all.

Rider didn't seem to take notice of a shield being raised to protect her, since she still looked rather uneasy and worried, however, she decided that worrying wasn't going to help their situation, so she took a deep breath to stabilize her thoughts and feelings, and continued to recover her stamina.

The Paula clones decided to make a move, copying an attack she had previously used, which was of course PSI Fire. Unfortunately, their attack was...very weak compared to Paula's. Whether would it be incompetence or a side effect of having a lot of clones is up for your debate.

Paula watched as her attack managed to do some damage...However half of the clones decided to turn Into her and attack her using her PSI, the other half turned Into Arle...In her normal form while Rider still remained behind the two, she turned towards Arle, wondering how she's doing so far. "How are your attacks doing?" Paula said to Arle as she wondered If she herself had any items that she can use to deflect the clones.

And she did...She had the franklin badge, which gave her a chance to gain an advantage against the clones...However first she needed to dodge the fire attack the five of them were blasting at her.

"And...There copying my moves, I expected this."

"Ow, yikes!" Paula said as the fire managed to hit her, she landed In front of Arle...But quickly looked up to her, hoping she has thunder based attacks, she soon stood up.

Arle just kinda pouted at Paula in response to being asked such an ...odd question, honestly. How were her attacks? Not how was she or how was her day--but how were her attacks?

"They're great; just the best, Paula." Arle replied in a rather flat, exasperated tone.

Arle faithfully stood guard over Rider until Paula was knocked down at her feet. What--...What was she doing? Was she looking up her dangerously short skirt from down there? No, that was ridiculous. Paula was a girl; the chances of her not only being interested in her and willing to pull a stunt like that were microscopic. ...Right? Arle decidedly didn't comment on this, but instead reached out and took Paula once she stood up, shifting the other girl in front of Rider and stepping aside.

"They look like they respond to a good butt kicking to me, so stand here and guard Rider while I deal with them!" Arle went on to instruct, turning her back on Paula and promptly rushing off to demonstrate what she meant.

Arle ran at the clones and promptly got in their face, doing her best Raffine impression by turning and moving out to strike at them with a series of widely aimed roundhouse kicks! Each part of her three hit combo would result in a shower of sparks on contact with her target; must be holy magic.

The Cosmic Paula's managed to dodge some attacks, however they ended up dissolving either way, either because of Arle's shiny lance or because of her magic attack. The Cosmic Arle clones were the only ones left.

Rider managed to recover stamina fast, despite the current danger. ...Maybe just a little more time wouldn't hurt. "B-better to be safe than sorry, they say..." Rider commented as she lied down to rest some more.

The Cosmic Arles decided to jump without fear (I don't think these things can even feel fear? Or anything at all?), this time trying different spells. Fire, Ice Storm, you name it, they were throwing it at Rider.

Arle looked confused at Paula and decided she should protect Rider...Despite the fact that she's already fine and so she ran towards her side of the clones that were copying her. "Arle...Oh well, I guess we have to fight them regularly, there not so bad I guess." Paula said as she looked at the resting Rider one more time before facing the five clones, who were ready to copy Paula's attack...Whatever It was, Paula decided to use Ice on them.

"Here's some frost." She said as she fired It at them.

Arle just kind of turned and gave Paula this look that pretty much spoke for itself. What the hell are you doing here?! She then snapped back to Rider, who was now out in the open and completely unprotected as every last clone launched an attack at her. Rider was about to get bombarded by deadly magic and there was nothing they could do!

...Except...

Arle staggered forward and shot herself back towards Rider, throwing herself into the fray and once again positioning herself betwixt Rider and the incoming spells. She then raised a yellow shield around herself--but it wasn't enough. A series of rapid impacts pulverized the shield out of existence, shattering it and leaving Arle vulnerable as a couple of additional spells pulverized her. A gasp escaped Arle as she was felled, collapsing onto her bottom and remaining there. She could not get up.

"I think you just might be a bigger threat to my safety than the clones..."
