Corii Island, Spirit Tower
Alignment: Neutral Good
Motto: "Let's liven up a little!"
Allies/Friends: Corii is prone to making friends. If anyone has a good demeanour to him, they're instantly his friend. For now, he has none.
Enemies/Rivals: Corii doesn't like to make enemies unless absolutely necessary. None here.
Backstory: Corii is a member of a race of nearly identical people, each defined with a special trait attached to their name for differentiation. For reference, all mentions of this applicant from now on in this submission will be DC. DC was a young curious lad soaking up the sights of his home island shortly after his enrolment into a school for young aspiring Coriis in the central part of the island. His life was fairly normal until he met Sol, the Demigoddess of Light, and from that day forward, all changed. Corii set out on an adventure, leaving behind his father's hope that he would become an amazing magician, all in the hopes of taking out whatever was bothering the peaceful state of Utopia, the world Corii and his friends all lived in. Along the way, he grew stronger and found his potential and affinity for life magic after visiting the Verdant Continent Veragreene. At that point, Corii knew he had an affinity for being a healer. While he doesn't pride on his own combat abilities much, he has gained a very agile and lithe build, helping him dazzle opponents with sheer speed and be a general nuisance. His affinity for procuring plant life gave him the upper hand and eventually all his hard work had paid off. He had helped save the world. Corii was stricken by joy, but his journeys were not quite over yet...
Appearance:
History On Li: One day, while Corii was running around and doing what he does best around the island, he noticed an envelope with a familiar red stamp. Corii hasn't exactly gotten any letters before, so he didn't know what it meant. After fiddling with it for a good five minutes, he opened and read the letter aloud to himself. Some kind of invitation? Corii was excited. Only his friends had invited him to things before! He probably misread it, thinking it was a party or a vegetable growing contest. And then Corii fell into a poorly placed portal he slipped into whilst pacing around town.
Having arrived so... informally in a completely unknown location left him a little excited, but very wary. But this vegelante did not let that get to him! He'd just keep on pulling through, like always. Corii had everything he needed. He could survive out here for as long as possible as long as he didn't run into any danger. Unaware of any of the current affairs, Corii set out on a search to find the sender of the letter, accomplish own goals, avoid any imminent and indescribable danger, make friends with the world and of course; save the flowers.
Having set that in mind, he left the bush he had been camping in to start his quest.
Primary Attacks (3)
Hammer Rush (from Iron Head): [10% Bludgeoning Damage, Medium DEX Attack] Corii launches a quick and mighty swing of his hammer imbued with the power of nature for a mighty bash upon the foe. It has a 50% chance to cause Flowered Status. Corii can throw his hammer like a boomerang for a ranged attack that hits twice, but this reduces the damage by 3% and reduces accuracy by 1.
Boy Blitz: [13+DEX% Bludgeoning Damage, Medium DEX Attack] Corii feints a target, dragging them into a fight cloud to whale on them with projectile fists made of compressed air formed by his gauntlets infused with the power of the wind and his own sheer speed. Nearby targets must also make evasion checks to avoid being caught up in his frantic antics. This attack has a +1 accuracy bonus against only the primary target.
Bean Bomb: [19+CHA% Force/Bludgeoning Damage, 2-turn cooldown.] A somewhat magical bomb packed with powerful protein-packed legumes that explodes to deal splash damage to targets in range.
Special Attacks (3)
Verdant Genesis (Gimmick): Corii emanates a power around him that encourages plants to grow. Once every two turns when dealing damage, he can make a CHA check of DC 14 to summon 1d3+1 beans. Each bean heals 2+CHA HP. Using Bean Bomb resets the cooldown.
Vacuum Grasp: [5+CHA% Force Damage, 2-turn cooldown] Corii opens his palm, calling upon the power of the wind, drawing a target with a troublesome storm into his clutches and grappling them. Whilst Corii has a target grappled down, he can choose to eject them from the grapple to deal 10% Force damage on another action, which is dealt to both the victim and a target he chooses to throw them at. Whilst grappled, the target takes 3+CHA damage every turn.
Lucky Shield: [3-turn cooldown] Corii forges a barrier made from orbiting four-leaved clovers with the power of fortune upon himself or an ally that increases the recipient's critical-hit rate by 1 and allows them to mitigate damage taken by 1/2 for the next 3 hits they receive, or 2 turns.
Super Corii Deluxe
Corii transforms into Super Corii by eating a Super Bean! This transformation lasts 3 turns. Whilst Super Corii is active, he is immune to secondary effects from attacks. Corii gains a +3 to his STR modifier from his super muscles and a +3 to his DEX for unbridled speed.
In addition to this, his moveset changes whilst in this state.
Verdant Genesis -> Superpowered Genesis (Gimmick): When Super Corii deals damage, he heals a flat 6% HP from draining power from the target.
Hammer Rush -> Super Pimp Slap: [18+STR% Bludgeoning Damage] Super Corii aggressively backhands the target with no remorse. The attack is so potent in plant energy that it causes the Flowered Status.
Bean Bomb -> Corii Header: [6%, then 19+STR% Force Damage, 2-turn cooldown] Super Corii throws a bean at the target to pelt them and envelops his fists and head in raw power to ram into the target like a homing missile, making two accuracy checks. The first attack cannot deal critical damage, but if it hits a natural 20 it will boost the second hit's accuracy by 2.
Vacuum Grasp -> Hyper Whirler: [9+CHA% Force Damage, 2-turn cooldown after effects end] Super Corii whirls around, forming a small tornado in his wake that he launches at a target for a ranged grapple. Whilst in the grapple, they take the aforementioned damage every turn they fail to escape.
Lucky Shield when used during this transformation increases the critical hit rate by 2 but can only be used once.
Other Info: Corii is capable of simple flight by gusting away from himself with his hands, and also running up walls.
