Welcome to Manzai Glamour 2!! As a reminder, this mission is an open-ended question. Nothing you want to do is technically off-limits. Though there's no guarantee it will go your way. We will begin with a pre-show planning event. It is the day before the event and you've all gathered to prepare with a day of practice. Each of you is going to have some requests or another to help prepare, and you can handle it in any way you please. You'll have a post or two to interact before we move onto the show itself.
Xion
Xion! ...You have been politely asked if you have any clothes that would be better for this sort of event, and been tasked with bringing them to practice. Simple enough, right?
Backup Dancers (Kairi, Moon, Xion)
So... Although Zelo did not respond to the sign-ups in a timely manner, a shantae has still shown up! How convenient of Doppel Shantae to grace us with her presence and rescue me from having to rethink the party setup. She also shows up in her jammies. "Good morning everyone. I hope you're ready for a day of practice! We've got a lot of work to do, but by the end you should grow as a person for your efforts." Shantae sleepily explained, before moving to set down a boombox. She then surveyed the other girls. Hmm... They were all wearing skirts, and they were going to be dancing to music, which suggested that a slower, less jiggly dance would be appropriate to capitalize on both. "There are two things you need to know before we begin." Shantae started, holding up a finger.
"One. When you dance to music, it's important to match the rhythm. Your movements should compliment the music, and the music in turn will act as a reminder of how you should move when you hear familiar parts. So listen carefully as we practice." Shantae explained. She then took a deep breath before continuing. "...Two. Let's talk about using your hips. We're all girls here--" Shantae began, before pausing and glancing around for a moment in bewilderment as if doing some math in her head. "...I think? So let's have an honest talk about our bodies." she clarified. Honestly, if anyone was putting this much effort to blend in despite being a boy, she couldn't be asked to worry about them. "Your hips are enticing. They're exciting. So is a bare tummy, but you don't have to match outfits with me if you don't want to. I might have to put on a skirt to match you girls for the actual show." Shantae explained, modeling and delicately running her hands over her sides and stomach for a moment in demonstration before resting them on her hips. "...I know a lot of people struggle with ... negativity or nervousness when it comes to things like this. But inhibitions are the enemy of dancers everywhere. So I want you to work on training your mind to view dancing differently too. These dances are sensual, not sexual. Your ability to excite and captivate others makes you powerful, not vulnerable. If someone gets too excited and treats you in a way you don't like, punish them with style and keep dancing. And if they treat you in a way you do like, encourage them. You're in control, and nobody can take that from you. We may not be the leads, but that doesn't mean we're not critically important if we do our jobs well." Shantae explained, doing her best attempt at a motivational speech. You could hear the passion in her voice as she began to dance for them.
"...Your goal is to be cute, inviting, and sensual~"
"I'll help you all as we go along. And if you ever want to try dancing again, I'm happy to help anytime. I hear there's a restaurant in Rainbow Square looking for entertainers... Anyway, let's begin, shall we?"
You have been tasked with shakin' dat booty and getting over any mental hangups with flaunting your body. ...Or something.
Sonia
“...Hey Sonia, do you think you could help me write a song. I'm not great at uh--... words. With people. Crowds.”
Rulue
“...Hey Rulue, can you help me look beautiful and refined for the show? A-Also, ...I thought about it and... I want you to be my partner. ...On stage. Because we're already--You know.”
Yumi
“Hey, Yumi? Could you um--... help me with boys? I mean like... the crowd. Not personally. I know this sounds dumb, but if I'm going to be doing this I've gotta work on capturing their hearts.”
