It was an overcast evening in the Black Market. There weren't very many people around this area of town, least of all because most in the Life Sphere deemed this are of the city too dangerous to be loitering around at night. However, that didn't stop one wimpy-looking teenager from pacing around the area. Yuuki Mishima looked up to artificial sky, which was overcast and thick with clouds. Perfect for an operation such as this...

Mishima hadn't known what to make of the hit on the Phansite he'd gotten a while ago. Naturally, the site hadn't been nearly as busy since coming to Li, but this request stood out from the meager offerings they normally had gotten. Still, Ren had told him not to worry about it. And so here he was, doing exactly that, and waiting for Ren and whoever else he'd been able to rally up to arrive. 

Well, waiting hadn't been all he'd been doing. Mishima had been doing some recon on their target. What he was like, where he lived, and what he normally did. Though what really had caught him off guard was that this "Bowser Jr" character looked like a child! Where they seriously going to have to go to all this trouble because a kid didn't know when to stop eating? It seemed excessive...but then again, this was supposed to be just a Mementos trip....right? Guess the only way to find out was to wait for everyone else to show up...

MISSION START!

[Reimu Hakurei]

"Hey, Mishima, right?" A girl's voice spoke from above Mishima as a shrine maiden was sitting on top of a nearby market stall overhang with her gohei by her side. "You kind of stick out like a sore thumb you know that?" she added... as if she was much better. Honestly if this was any place but the Black Market she'd probably have trouble picking him out instead... Good Phantom Thief resource in that respect. She grabbed her gohei before stepping off the stall top and hovering towards the ground.

"Reimu Hakurei, I am a friend of Ren," she greeted before glancing up... She hope she did not miss a report on scheduled rain... Then again not like she was going to be in the real world for a while. It'll probably be fine. She did tell Jr countless times to stop overeating. He didn't really care how heavy he got but when it cut into other people's supplies it became a problem. So now she was going to have to punish him directly... no matter how indirect it was. Her gap allowed her to get here ahead of time and she was a bit motivated to do this.

Akechi didn't care that much about the mission, from what he heard about Mishima back when he worked with the Phantom Thieves. He sounded like a pest and he hated dealing with pests, except for ones that are vital with his goals. In fact, thinking about how much of a pest Mishima was made Akechi think back about the previous pests that he dealt with.

Like, Ren. Akechi briefly paused as he made it to the entrance of the Black Market, but shook his head and walked over towards Mishima, who Akechi noticed had stood out among the people in this Market.

And he knew it was him since Reimu appeared before him and introduced herself to him. It seems she knew about Ren too and was friends with him.

He, always had a way of befriending almost everyone. Akechi took a deep breath.

There was only one reason that he was here anyway. It was time to put on his persona.

"I take it that your Yuuki Mishima?" Akechi smiled to Reimu and Mishima as he approached them.

"You may already know me, as the great Detective Prince back in Tokyo. I've seen your mission log Mishima-san and I quite say, It really stood out compared to the other missions on the board. Which I'm happy to help with." After introducing himself, Akechi smiled to Reimu and Mishima.

However, the smile itself, was fake.

"Well, Here it is Partner. Meet up spot." Morgana would say in his Cat-like Form, As Ren and He were hiding from a Distance, Atop a Nearby Roof. They had been waiting for Reimu and Akechi's arrival, as Ren adjusted his glasses. "Kind of surprised were doing this again! You'd think that we would of been out there doing it the 'Traditional' way by now, But...Well, It's pretty classy to be a Phantom Thief again, Huh?~" Morgana asked, as Ren smirked. He took a few steps away from the ledge, stepping back, as an Inferno of blue fire surrounded him.

"Go for it Partner, I'll hang out as Backup to get you guys out if anything goes wrong." Morgana would suggest, as suddenly, Ren started runnning forward, His School clothes burning away into a set of Stylish leather, as he leapt from the building, Performing a Triple Axel spin as he flipped, and landed atop a Dumpster next to Yuuki Mishima.



"Good afternoon, Everyone." Joker began, Hopping off the Dumpster and approaching the group with his signature, cat-like mischievous grin. He First approached Reimu, And performed a Cordial Bow. "And how lovely it is to work with you again, Dear Shrine Maiden~" Joker...Flirted?! ...Well, He is a Showman, if nothing else. If Reimu allowed, He'd take the Shrine Maiden's hand and plant a kiss atop it, like how many a prince would, Before letting go and standing up. "We really should stop meeting under these circumstances...there's a Cafe or two around here we could speak under less dangerous circumstances, you know~" He Began...When, In reality, He was just Nipping something of Reimu's.

And then...His eyes fell to Akechi, And his smile lowered, Looking directly at him. "...Akechi-san. I assume you know how to run with the gang, still?" He asked,  His smile returning lightly as he approached the Detective. "...Lets not let previous circumstances stop those who need help today. Right?" Joker offered, Before finally turning to Mishima. "...Well? Let's start the game~"

Mishima looked Reimu up and down as she commented on how much he stood out against the rest of the Black Market. "As if you're one to talk." he commented back. So this shrine maiden was a friend of Ren's, huh? While normally that connection would raise an eyebrow, Ren did seem to make friends with the strangest people sometimes. A shrine maiden might be one of the less weirder ones, actually... "Yuuki Mishima, yes. A pleasure" he greeted, before falling silent again. He was never one for talking to people he didn't know, especially girls...

Thankfully, that awkward silence was broken by the arrival of the second member of this team, this time a more familiar face. Unfortunately, this familiar face was Goro Akechi. While Mishima didn't have much familiarity with Akechi, he had heard some things that were...less then pleasant. However, that didn't matter now. They had a job to do, so best just grin and bear it. "Indeed. Good to have you around, Akechi-san." His awkwardness returned again, but it was a completely different kind then before. Hopefully Ren would get here soon so they could get moving along...

And speak of the devil, Ren came dropping in out of nowhere, with nearly no warning. The title of Phantom Thief was certainly a well earned one. "Looking cool, Ren." he nodded at him with a smile. Eat your heart out, Morgana, Mishima's stealing your lines. 

"Well, now that everyone's here, let's get things started." Mishima said as everyone finished re-introductions. "The target's name is Bowser Koopa Jr. A member of the Koopa family. Apparently he's been tearing through Harvest Acre's resources at an alarming rate. If he keeps this up there's not going to be enough food to go around, and things are already tight as it is."

"While I doubt this is gonna be anything major, I took the initiative to try and figure out how to access Bowser Jr's subconsciousness. Normally Mementos would be the best bet, but we don't really have a way to traverse there without putting ourselves in danger. So accessing a potential Palace is the only option that we have. Fortunately, figuring out the entrance words wasn't that hard. We already had his name. The location, the Black Market, wasn't that hard to figure out. But the type of distortion was a little tricky. I admit I'm taking a shot in the dark here, but given Bowser Jr's gluttonous desire, I think a buffet would be the ideal distortion for something like this." 

Taking out his phone, Mishima handed it to Ren, the screen simply showing three phrases typed out on a notepad app

NAME: Bowser Jr
LOCATION: Black Market
DISTORTION: Buffet.

All Ren would have to do is enter this information into the Metaverse app and they'd be on their way!

Akechi watched Mishima and Reimu argue about who stuck out the most in the Life Sphere. He wanted to roll his eyes over how ridiculous their little argument was, but he didn't want them noticing him and give them a bad first impression, but he felt like he had to step in before Ren arrives.

"If it helps with my sudden intrusion, you both stick out here. Hakurei-san for being a magical shrine maiden and Mishima-san for." Akechi didn't actually have a reason as to how Mishima stuck out, so he continued his conversation.

"But it's okay. We're are on a planet with more weirder people." Akechi said, he did want to reveal his persona powers to Reimu, but he didn't know how much Mishima knew about personas himself just yet. He seemed to have some knowledge hence why he made this mission, but for now, Akechi was just going to play it safe.

And then, he arrived.

He jumped down, and gave that grin. Akechi looked away after seeing Ren's grin, there was also a sad look that appeared on his face, because every time he saw Ren, he was reminded of the past, and what he had done.

Even if it looks like Ren was over that, Akechi still felt the burden on his shoulders.

But he soon got back to his senses when Ren called his name. "Huh, what?" Akechi almost didn't quite got what Ren had said, but he asked Akechi if he assumed he had run with a gang before.

He gave a light smile. "Of course, you know what I'm like." He said before looking back at Mishima, who told the group of their target, Bowser Junior.

"Of course Amamiya-kun. We're here to stop this turtle before he causes a famine with his gluttony...

It would be bad if a lot of people in the Life Sphere die from starvation, especially given the year we had." He said, Akechi looked down at Morgana, and the seething hate that he had for the cat slowly rose up inside him, even if he didn't show it on his face.

Out of everyone in the Phantom Thieves, that pest of a cat was the one and only member who Akechi definitely hated. He always found him annoying, especially since he was the leading cause of his downfall with that stupid pancake conversation he had with Ren, Sakamoto and Takamaki during that trip at the TV Studio.

Fortunately he didn't say anything just yet and so moved on to information about Bowser Jr that needed to be put in the navigation app, which Akechi soon did as he put the information on his own phone after overlooking Mishima and Ren.

"Well then, are we all ready to help this poor boy's heart?" Akechi soon asked the group. He was ready to enter Bowser Jr's Palace.

Reimu looks between Akechi and the boy at the pause. Could he not tell how weird a meek schoolboy would be in this environment? And shrine maidens were weird? "Yeah, let's-..." Reimu began before pausing and looking down. "Dang it!" she called out. "Today was the day there was a huge discount at the mall due to a horrible food accident," she realized... Look, she has a lot of mouths to feed-

The shrine Maiden considers this for a moment before walking forward and creating a gap. "I have someone in mind that can help instead. Hope you don't mind the replacement, Joker but I hear she has a lot of experience with Heart stuff so she probably will be some help. Just wait a second while I go talk to her. Oh and I'll be sure to visit the cafe soon! Sorry again!" Reimu says before stepping into the gap and it closing.

.... There is a lengthy pause they'd have to wait. Reimu wasn't the best conversationalist so that probably had part to do with it. However a portal would open and a blue haired girl in weird samurai like armor stepped out before it closed. "Sorry for the last-minute substitution... I'm Aqua, a Keyblade Master... or Mistress as some of my students call me," she remarks with a bow. "You want to... steal their Heart, was it? The wording is strange but it seems to mean you want to conquer the darkness inside it, correct?" she asked as she stood up. "I never tried this method before but I'll do my best to keep up. How do we get there?"
