Madotsuki was lucky that she had gotten the beds that she needed for her mission. She watched as it rained heavily from outside of the Apartment Complex as she looked back into her apartment itself. There was numerous beds set up in a circle formation in the middle of the room, with beautiful scented candles lit up around the Apartment.

They were needed in order to help enhance her powers and to get everyone into the dream world for the mission.

She keeps having these stupid nightmares and so she needs to put a stop to them by finding a nightmare item. A piece from the nightmare itself that Madotsuki and her team must destroy in order to end the nightmares once and for all.

Even if it means going into her own dreams in order to find it.

Which means people like Red, that Akechi guy that she just met, that Hansel guy that Madotsuki hasn't seen before, and Vantias, who will probably make fun of her dreams, since they were pretty weird, even for Madotsuki.

Meanwhile outside of the Apartment itself, one of the people for the mission, Goro Akechi had just arrived with an umbrella.

He, looked around at the Apartment Complex and Brightwing Lane. Nights like these reminded him of his childhood, and the nights that he often spent out on the streets with his toys. While his mother would stay inside their home, with a man that she loved for that night.

Most of the men that his dear mother ended up with hated children like Akechi simply for existing, and because of that, Akechi was often ushered outside at the behest of his mother, no matter how cold or creepy it was outside.

But, Akechi thought more about his mother's health rather then his own, even when he grew sick. Akechi became sad as a result.

Until it was interrupted by tapping coming from the window of Madotsuki's apartment, who had managed to see Akechi from the fog stain window and tried to get his attention, the boy smiled again as Madotsuki proceeded to write a message to him and the other new comers which was spelled backwards from Akechi's point of view.

"Well, I can't keep anyone that requests the aid of a detective waiting now can I?" Akechi just has to bottle up his feelings for now. As he approached the door of the Apartment building.

Through the annoyingly heavy rain came the pounding splish-splash of bicycle tires. You’d think the rider would’ve brought an umbrella, but at his speed, it would’ve blown inside out a few miles back. The biker turned 90 degrees and skid to a splashing halt at the Apartment Complex entrance. A squint at the address brought confirmation and relief to the rider as he dismounted and somehow packed his entire bicycle into his back pack. He wasted no more time in the rain, waiting till he was dry inside to even acknowledging Akechi, whom he greeted with a hat tip and head tilt in the direction of Madotsuki’s front door as if to ask if he were headed there too. “…?”

A large figure slowly stepped into view. It was a strange being at first glance with candy all over his body. But once you got a look at him, you'd notice next the giant eyes on his shoulders staring out, swirling around to take in the surroundings. He focused on the apartment building and the numbers on the doors, then focused on the two figures he could spot. He knew others were coming though had not met them, so guessed that they were here for the same thing.


Hansel almost seemed to lumber forward with the swing of his arms, but the sound of steps didn't match the weight you would think he had to move with. The water dripping from his armor, unexpectedly, didn't run with the colors of the armor but just dripped clear. He stepped out of the rain and walked up to behind Red who was following Akechi's lead towards the apartment. Hansel had met Madotsuki briefly before taking this job, but not the others. Hansel just privately hoped that they wouldn't get off on the wrong foot for Hansel's own appearance.

Hansel's deep voice echoed, like it was spoken inside an empty room, and it was slow and methodical. He clearly and carefully enunciated each word. "Hello.. I Am Hansel. I Am Here To Help Madotsuki. Are You Two Also Here For That?"

And fashionably late to the mission was Vanitas who had been wearing his organization 13 cloak and his helmet to cover himself from the rain that poured quite a bit onto him. Walking in the rain without a care in the world he noticed as two others passed on by him, one of them on a bike and the other in armor.

Making his way to the apartment on foot Vanitas would not waste his energy to get there any faster than he needed to. Once arriving into the dry building Vanitas took off his cloak first and placed it on a coat rack before removing his helmet to reveal that he was just a teenage boy instead of an imposing adult like figure that he may have first appeared to be. Still though with his bright yellow eyes and spikey black hair he was just as imposing as before he took them off.

"I wouldn't say my reason for coming here is to help the brat, but what I end up doing will be beneficial to the both of us." Vanitas didn't need to tell them the exact reason he was here, Madotsuki probably could guess of course but Vanitas would make sure to absorb this nightmare creature into his being as nightmares were made up of negative emotions.

This would allow him to grow much more powerful in the end, thus repaying Vanitas for helping Madotsuki twice in a row. "Either way the only thing you need to know about me is that my name is Vanitas." he said introducing himself in his usual fashion.

(Berserk 2016 OST - Peering Into Darkness)

As Akechi answered the doorbell, he would hear someone from the other side. It was Madotsuki herself, who hasn't answered the door yet. "I'll be there in a second." She would say in a monotonous tone from the otherside of the door.

"Please, take your time. It's better then staying outside in that horrible rain anyway." He assured the girl before he watched as other members of the mission had arrived. The first being a silent Pokemon trainer, and the other being a boy named Hansel.

"Why of course, she did ask for three people after all, but it's good that this mission will be team based." Then again, most missions were team based already, the thing is, as Akechi pointed out just now. Madotsuki asked for another person to arrive, but there was only three of them at the door at the moment.

And that was when the last person for the mission, Vantias, arrived.

"I didn't ask why." Akechi proceeded to wink at Vantias.

"We all have reasons for why we're at certain locations that nobody should know." Akechi however assured Vantias that he shouldn't say anything about his reasons if he didn't want too. And just then, the door to Madotsuki's apartment opened.

She looked at Hansel, Red and Akechi first, and then at Vantias, causing Madotsuki to sigh. "Are you mad about the whole NASU thing? I can't let you play it." In fact, she can't let anyone play NASU 3D. It was that good a game that only Madotsuki was allowed to play it. Plus there wasn't any much copies yet since that live stream in March.

Madotsuki wondered if Li even had seasons, but she shook her head. NASU wasn't important in this mission, Madotsuki was. She was, going to let people inside her dreams in order to help complete this mission.

"Anyway come in, don't touch the candles, or go into any rooms. You can only go to the Bathroom." Madotsuki pointed to a door just inside her Apartment, showing the relatively normal bathroom.

"Oh, could this bathroom be where the mission takes place. Is whatever giving you nightmares and has this nightmare item in there?" Akechi sounded a little condescending to Madotsuki, something of which she wasn't going to take in this mission.

"I'm 14, not some child. The Bathroom's only for if you need to go before we leave for the mission." Madotsuki would walk past Akechi before heading towards the center of the room. Akechi, curious, proceeded to follow Madotsuki.

"We're leaving this Apartment?" Akechi stopped once he reached the center of the apartment, where there was five separate beds in a circle formation, with candles lit up around them.

"Sort of, since we're going inside the dreamscape to explore my dreams and find the nightmare item, we will have to sleep next to each other in order for it to happen. So, before this mission, I bought some beds earlier today." However, Madotsuki then looked at Red and pointed towards six cat beds next to one of the five beds.

"However since your a pokemon trainer, I bought cat beds for your small Pokémon." Granted, Madotsuki didn't know if Red's Pokémon were small, but she thought a cat bed was big enough anyway for them. Since if Red had to rely on his Pokémon, then they were going to be helpful for him once the group enter the dream scape.

Madotsuki and Akechi proceeded to sit on one of the beds. As they did, Akechi noticed something at the top of a nearby drawer.

It was a manga volume, which he proceeded to look at the cover at, showing a tall muscular man with short brown hair in dark, sharp armour. "Chaotic, I heard about this manga. You read this too?" Akechi had also started to read it recently as he turned over back towards Madotsuki. He put the manga back from where he found it.

"I just started, a girl named Yumiko suggested that I read it a few days ago. It's not the cause of my nightmares if you're asking, but it's been really good so far. The Author's creative and, he does beautiful art for this series." In fact, for the first time in awhile, Madotsuki sounded, genuinely happy about something, instead of just sounding bored or emotionless all the time.

Akechi was happy that Madotsuki also knew about Yumiko too, as he was also her friend.

But Madotsuki immediately went back to sounding bored again. "Anyway, to go to the dream scape, you all just lie on these beds and go to sleep. Soon enough, if this works, you'll soon wake up there a few minutes after going to sleep. I hope this works and we can put a stop to these stupid nightmares once and for all." Madotsuki proceeded to lie down on her bed, as did Akechi on his and the two proceeded to fall asleep soon after.

Leaving on Hansel, Vantias and Red to do the same as well.

On his way to Madotsuki’s door with Akechi, Red spun on his heel and immediately turned around at the deep splash of a large figure lumbering toward them. The figure didn’t look like it sounded like it weighed. From the candy-coated appearance to its two eyes on its shoulders, it looked like no Pokémon Red had ever seen. Was it some sort of new Ultra Beast? Red didn’t expect random encounters so soon, but he had one hand ready to grab his pokédex and another even closer to grabbing his pokéballs when Hansel spoke. Well, he didn’t Sound like a Pokémon, and it’d have been rude to catch a fellow mission-goer so soon anyway. Red simply nodded in confirmation of his question. “…”
In all the commotion, Red almost completely missed the imposing figure of a spiky-haired teenage boy behind Hansel. Almost looked like Hansel’s trainer…focus, Red. Off the bat, there was an untrustworthy air about this guy, but being the stoic silent guy that he was himself, Red shrugged it off. He knew his name and that was as much as he cared at the moment.
Finally at the door, finally getting an answer. There was a real ‘cranky and didn’t get enough sleep’ energy from this little girl. They were definitely in the right place. Madotsuki may have said no touching, but that didn’t stop Red from taking a panoramic photo of the apartment with his eyes like a detective. Good to know where the bathroom was when you’re so used to camping outdoors.

“…” Upon being shown the little cat beds, Red had to cover his mouth with his knuckles when he assumed the thinking pose just to hide the smirk cracking onto his face when he imagined deploying half his team into such a small room. Snorlax wouldn’t fit, Lapras would soak everyone all over again on top of that, and Charizard would set the place on fire. All the candles this little girl lit were bad enough.
In light of this, Red scooped the three other pokéballs he brought between his fingers. He rolled one into his palm and pushed the white button in the center with his thumb. The pokéball expanded to fill his palm and opened up.

In a burst of electric light, the slender form of a lilac-colored quadruped with large ears and a red jewel on its forehead emerged. It stretched it’s forelimbs and hind limbs and shook its head like a common house pet before sitting up and swishing its tail with the poise and elegance of a creature wise beyond its years.

“Espon?” (Where are we? A seance?) Espeon sarcastically eyed her trainer, noticing the lit candles everywhere. Red merely gestured to Madotsuki and from sight, Espeon understood everything. Approaching her as if to greet her, Espeon sauntered clean past her and climbed up on top of Madotsuki’s bed in total ignorance of the cat bed provided to her. “...?”

Playing off that embarrassing gesture, Red freed his second choice for the night, a canopy of leaves unfurled, revealing pretty pink bulb that promised to blossom into a beautiful flower one day. Squat underneath it, a blue-green quadruped with teal patches looked up at the room around it.
“Ivy.” (Good evening.) Ivysaur curtsied to the company, turning around to find Red who pointed her to Madotsuki. “Saur.” (You must be Madotsuki, pleased to meet you.) The Seed Pokémon politely smiled and offered a green vine that snaked up and out of her bushes as if it were a hand for shaking.

Last but not least, out of the third pokéball splashed an orange turtle shell. Out of four of the holes sprouted two arms and two legs, a tail out of the backmost, and a big round head out of the front most.
“Squirtle!” (What’s happening!) Squirtle chirped, standing on his hindlegs and greeting the crowd. Noticing the location and the candles lit, he looked back at Red with curiosity. “Squirt. Squirtle?” (I didn’t know we were doing underground battling again. Whose face am I washing tonight?) He eagerly inquired, looking over the party again with a punch into his little palm.

“Peon.” (No one’s, you Rhyhorn.) Espeon yawned with a roll of her eyes.
“...Saur.” (Um, Espeon’s right. This isn’t one of those missions.) Ivysaur sheepishly nodded in agreement. “Ivy, Saur?” (We’re here to help this little girl with her sleeping problems, remember?) Ivysaur guided Squirtle to follow red over to the little cat beds Madotsuki had set out for them.
“Squirtle?” (Help with Sleep?) Squirtle put his whole neck, what little of that he had, into cocking his brow with flustered disappointment. “Squirt?” (Don’t I at least get to sock a drowsy?)
“Saur.” (If it turns out one is behind this.) Ivysaur tried to promise as she tucked the pouty little turtle in.

"Mmm." Hansel simply murmured an affirmation to Vanitas's reply. He had some kind of ulterior motive, but that wasn't particularly new to Hansel. If his reply were flatter, it would have fit his sister quite well. It was logical, mutual benefits help everyone. But like Gretel, Hansel didn't understand what Vanitas's ultimate goal was either.

Hansel watched and listened as the others spoke. The conversation was nostalgic, reminded him of a few other girls from home, even if he only had a basic understanding of what Manga was... similar to fairy tales with pictures to tell a story but far more action-packed. The familiar ideas put him at ease a bit, these sound like good people.

For some kind of reassurance, Hansel asserted himself a bit before lying in the bed. "What I Want To See Is Your Safety. I Have Never Seen A Nightmare Born Of Dreams Before. Is It Like A Nightmare Born Of The Jail As I Am? It Does Not Matter, As It Will Not Be Able To Stop Me."

Vanitas at this point didn't really care for the other's responses that much. Two strangers to his existence had come into view, one especially irksome with how silent they were but they seemed to have some odd creatures with them. No matter he could always rely on their 'help' if he somehow got in a pinch with this nightmare.

Not that he could care any less if they bought it though he wouldn't complain if there were less pests to deal with. "So I just lie down on this bed and take a nap? I never needed sleep before but if it's to get the job done I suppose I can give it a try." Vanitas said taking the most normal looking bed, one that was sized for him really instead of one like for the big guy or that creature tamer. 

"Whatever let's get this over with." Vanitas said as he wrapped himself in a blanket and tried to get some sleep, whatever that was.

Madotsuki just petted the Pokemon that Red had summoned, as well as turning towards Hansel and Vantias as she got ready to sleep. Akechi had already fallen asleep at this point and she was about to follow him soon after so she can use her powers to take the group into the Dream Scape.

"Uh, likely, nightmares often come from dreams too." She then turned over towards Vantias, who said that he doesn't often sleep.

"That's fairly obvious." After that, Madotsuki soon fell asleep herself, and once everyone else has fallen asleep, they would only see darkness for a few minutes.

(Yume Nikki OST - Dark World)

However, they would soon wake up to find themselves in a completely new place that wasn't Madotsuki's apartment. Instead they would find themselves on a giant podium, with doors surrounding the group. There were also other doors that were floating up in the purple/darkish space that surrounded the podium too.

All the doors around the podium were locked tight, except for one door that was in front of the group. It was green and it was covered in leaf's and vines. Madotsuki and Akechi, who were now awake, soon stood up after lying on the ground.

"This is the Dream Scape? All of these doors seem interesting. But I'm curious as to why all of them are locked?" Akechi wondered if the locked doors were even related to Madotsuki at all.

"Because I don't want you to go into them. Anyone with dream powers have their own Dream Scape, the one we're currently standing on now is my one and I'm only allowing you to enter one door for this mission, that being the one where I can sense where the nightmare Item is." Madotsuki pointed over towards the green door.

The other doors all had various colours, and some of them even had symbols. Two of which had an igloo symbol and a symbol of a straw hat.

"Don't even touch that door with the straw hat, that dream's special to me." Madotsuki then walked up to the green door with Akechi following.

"Well, let us check this door shall we and find this Nightmare item." Akechi looked hesitant as Madotsuki grabbed onto the door's knob and twisted the door open. He was more worried about what nightmarish thing could be behind the door that would cause something like this nightmare Item to be made.

And behind the door in question was...

(Berserk OST - Earth)

A beautiful field, filled with various flowers and scenery. There was a proper sky too that was bright blue and had the wind breathing down onto the group as Madotsuki and Akechi stepped through into this part of Madotsuki's dreams.

"Madotsuki, this is your dreams? I don't see anything nightmarish about it." Akechi admired the scenery around him, while Madotsuki snapped at him.

"Make sure to keep your shoes clean. You might be in my dreams but it doesn't give you the excuse to attract dirt into it." Upon being told this, Akechi soon knocked any dirt he had off of his shoes.

"I'm sensing that the nightmare Item is through that cave over there. We should start by going through---But as Madotsuki pointed out a dark looking cave on top of a nearby cliff, she heard a giggle and turned to see a young girl waltzing around in the field. A nearby cute bunny was watching her as she soon noticed.



But Madotsuki was suspicious. "This dream is too nice." Madotsuki got out her blade and prepared for the worst, as the Girl soon skipped over towards the Bunny, not caring about the new arrivals.

"H-Hweeo mwister bwunny." The Girl smiled as the Bunny looked up towards her.

"Mwy I pewt you?" The Girl watched as the Bunny cleaned his own ears.

Before replying.

"No."

(Berserk OST - Fear)

At that instant, the sky quickly turned dark, and the field's around the group soon turned darker as the Bunny soon, transformed, twisting it's bones, growing taller in the process and shot black blood out of it's mouth as it screamed down into the girl.

Before grabbing and eating her in one fell swoop as it screamed again. "Holy!" Even Akechi, who had seen worse things in his life, was caught off guard by the change of mood.

Madotsuki was not, as the Bunny soon turned towards the group and hissed before shooting out wings from it's back and flying towards the group as fast as possible.

"Prepare yourselves!" Madotsuki shouted to the group before charging forward towards the Demon Bunny.

Akechi nodded and soon summoned his persona, joining the fight also.

Madotsuki and Akechi landed good hits on the Nightmare Bunny, who hissed at the two before firing a gust of deadly powerful wind towards Vantias, Hansel and Red's Ivysaur as it's first targets.

(Nightmare Bunny has used Dream Gust, you must roll a 15 to Dodge or else you will receive 25% damage.)

Before swooping down and trying to bite Madotsuki, the one who started this fight in the first place, which the DC to dodge is 16 and if Madotsuki fails to dodge this, she will gain 27% damage.

Which she covered the bite using a bubble shield, which caused her to bounce near to where Akechi was.

Similarly, the Nightmare Bunny shoots a projectile of demon acid towards Akechi's side, the DC to dodge is the same, as well as the damage.

“…” For someone so used to sleeping in a sleeping bag in a tent or under the stars, the bed Madotsuki felt luxurious to Red, albeit foreign. Despite already having closed his eyes and been lying style, Red found difficulty in falling asleep with so much banter surrounding hum. This was evidenced by the way he turned onto his side and covered his head with his provided pillow as if to block his ears.
He may have been the last to do so, but he eventually slipped into the empty silence of a dreamless sleep, skipping it straight into Madotsuki’s destination.

“…And thus, it begins.” Red said out loud, without moving his mouth.
“Tee hee, I can’t say I recall the last time I’ve heard your voice, Red.” Ivysaur smiled up at her trainer.
“Ivy?” Red did a double take. “You can talk?”
“She can upon this plane of existence. This Is a Dream Scape, after all.” Espeon confirmed, leisurely floating past him.
“You mean we can do whatever we want?” Squirtle eagerly tested this out by attempting to fly into the air like Espeon, only to backflip onto his shell.
“It means we can do whatever Madotsuki wants.” Red deduced, as she just said it was her mindscape. “As tempting as it would be to attempt to clip out of bounds and explore what awaits behind these doors…” “It would be best to respect the palace that is Madotsuki’s mind.” Ivysaur stood over Squirtle, giving him a ‘That means You.’ Look. “...I doubt there’s anything behind them that we could catch and bring back with us even if we did.” Red folded his hands behind his head in dismissal of the thought. agreement with her. “Let’s get on with it, shall we?”

“What a lovely meadow~!” Ivysaur smiled at the serenity of what lie beyond the door. She, Red and Squirtle made a point of wiping their feet before stepping…outside? “Don’t see the point in that. Why can’t I just fly like Espeon?” Squirtle complained, climbing up onto Red’s shoulder as his way of avoiding tracking dirt. “Actually, now that you mention it-Hold on…. Something’s about to happen.” Red stopped in his tracks, squinting at the little girl and the rabbit. “Something about that Bunnelby I don’t trust.”
“Well obviously it’s about to-” Espeon rolled her eyes as events unfolded before she could finish.
“Woah!” Squirtle scooted back to sit on Red’s backpack behind his head. “Found it.” Ivysaur bravely stepped to the front of the group.
“Nice way to take initiative. Ivysaur use-Dodge!” Red began to command before noticing the Nightmare Bunny was attacking first.

“Ow! And they said dreams couldn’t hurt you.” Ivysaur groaned as she got back up onto her four feet.
“I wonder what affects this Dream Scape has on your attacks…” Red pondered his first order out loud, but still not having once moved his lips. “Let’s start with the something simple: Ivysaur, use Leaf Storm!”
“Yes sir!” Ivysaur obeyed, extending her vines, nicking the edges off some of her leaves and wipping them like shurikens at the Nightmare Bunny.

“Now let’s try the sky: Ivysaur, charge Solar Beam!” Red pounded his palm.
“One order of sunshine, coming up.” Ivysaur snorted, standing firm and opening her bulb to absorb the dreamy sunlight.

(Ivysaur charges Solar Beam. Now charged to deal 20% Damage)

“Okay good, now Fire! Use Solar Beam!” Red opened his palm as if to shoot the very attack out of it.
“Take this!” Ivysaur stood up on her front legs, aiming her bloated bulb at the bunny and let loose a beam of hot light at it.

Hansel silently observed the new space before him. It felt strange to be here yet back in that bed at the same time. His own dreams were often unenlightening and quickly forgotten afterwards. He casually wondered to himself if they would remember this afterwards.

The big guy frowned when saw the little girl eaten by a monster. Things here were more devious than the usual Marchens. It was time to fight.

Hansel charged forward. As he did, the deadly wind blew over Hansel, but it did not slow him down, until he saw that his ally had just used a barrage of attacks on the creature. Seeing that, Hansel thought it better to hang back, and grabbed three candy canes from his armor to throw at the creature.

Vanitas was not impressed with this whole dreamscape but was rather curious about all the locked doors in front of him. Smirking a bit he was very tempted to just unlock all of them with his Keyblade, it would be no problem to do so either because as those who have a Keyblade would know that it can open any lock.

It had no restrictions based on that rule either. Still Vanitas followed the others anyways, he needed to absorb this nightmare into him so he could grow even stronger. What he saw next bothered the heck out of him. A lush green field with peaceful flowers blooming and the like.

"Disgusting. I was hoping for something a little less peaceful." But as luck would have it a rabbit that practically radiated negative emotions hopped over toward the brat. Vanitas saw no point in warning her of the incoming danger and when the thing ate her Vanitas just laughed.

"Serves her right for all the crap she made me go through.....Oh right the mission. Ugh fine I guess I should help her." Vanitas initially thought to himself. Though his thoughts seemed to have been broadcast to everyone else in this dreamscape. It was strange really since the strange creatures could now talk too. That means their thoughts were being translated to speech. "Well that's interesting, not like I care what people say about my thoughts." Vanitas said out loud before seeing the rabbit throw a gust of wind at him.

Vanitas simply side-stepped out of the way of the gust of wind with ease. "Too Slow. For a supposed Nightmare you are not very scary so I'll make this quick."

Vanitas said summoning his Keyblade, the Void Gear, into battle and took his usual battle stance.

With two hits and a miss Vanitas would just not worry too much about his foe, looks like it was already weakened enough to not bother with anymore than he already did. If the creature died from the combined effort of everyone else they would notice Vanitas absorb the nightmare into him. After all nightmares are made of pure negative emotions so this would be easy for Vanitas to take in. But this would only happen if the creature was defeated.

NIGHTMARE BUNNY

With the combination of attacks that Madotsuki, Vantias, Hansel and Red's Pokémon had given it. The Nightmare Bunny fell forward, screaming in agony, before Vantias absorbing it did the job and ended it's miserable existence by shrivelling up into a skeletal being that looked more like a human.

"Nah it's like dream rules like in that one movie with the burnt guy. If you get hurt in the dreams, you get hurt in real life. I suggest being more careful for here on out." Madotsuki looked over towards Vantias after he finished absorbing the creature.

"That goes for you too. You don't know what sorts of messed up things you could be absorbing." Madotsuki warned to Vantias. Regardless, the enemy has been dealt with, so the group can continue forward with finding the nightmare item, which Madotsuki felt a pull for coming towards a cliff, leading into a dark cave.



"Over there, we have to go through that cave." Madotsuki pointed towards it and as she did, she noticed that the scenery was beginning to change again.

The sky was starting to turn red. "I don't like the colour of the sky." Madotsuki looked up.

"Oh really? I happen to think it's fancy. It's my favourite colour." Akechi smiled, after what he had witnessed, he thought the colour of the sky was beautiful.

The moon was also turning red too, as Madotsuki began to head towards the hill where the cave was.

But as she did, she briefly stopped when she felt something coming from the ground. "Huh?" Madotsuki jumped back when two more demonic looking creatures appeared as a result.

The two reaper looking creatures swung their scythes around at the group, trying to hit people at random, with Madotsuki being their target three times!

(You must roll a DEX roll in 13 if the Vanguards try to slice you with their scythes, the damage is 15% if you're hit. The people that the Vanguards are targeting other then Madotsuki are: Red & Ivysaur, with Ivysaur getting targeted twice!)

Madotsuki was sliced twice by the Vanguards, but she kept her stance and began launching her own attacks by pulling out her knife and slicing into the Vanguards multiple times. Akechi followed suit by summoning Robin Hood for a triple kouga attack.

The Vanguards fell easily after Madotsuki and Akechi launched attacks that easily hit the two demon creatures. "They seem to go down easily, I say we can take them down before they attack again, don't you think?" Akechi asked Madotsuki as he turned over towards her.



"Something's wrong. This fight is, too easy." Madotsuki looked upwards towards the moon that was turning redder by the minute while the Vanguards were recovering.

Ivysaur could only wince in horror at the death of the demonic Diggersby before sighing in relief. “Darkrai wishes it could pose That sort of a threat...” Red scoffs at the die-in-your-dreams caveat.
“I don’t get it. Wouldn’t you wake up sooner than you die-OUCH! Hey!” Ivysaur pondered out loud before Squirtle creeped up behind and pinched her. This was promptly met with a Vine Whip across the face.“I-I guess not…” Squirtle whimpered, retreating into his shell as he rubbed his cheeks.
“Be the bar low for things beyond your comprehension, but the rules of the Dream Scape.” Espeon rolled her eyes with an arrogant swish of her tail. “We will be more careful, won’t we?” Red assured Madotsuki, shooting a sharp glance at his team. “Yeah sure!” “You have our word.” “Naturally.” His Pokemon snapped to attention and nodded.

“If we enter there, we won’t be able to stop.” Red warned from experience as they proceeded to approach the cliff leading to the dark cave. “It’s Zubat country…Or is it, considering this is a dream?”

“Speaking of dark places, what time is it?” Espeon curiously observed the reddening sky. “Calling it: a Midnight Form Lycanroc’s gonna jump out any minute.” Squirtle tried to mask his intimidation with enthusiasm. “Would you knock it off? Next thing you know you’re right.” Ivysaur whispered with a grumble. He was wrong however, as a pair of wild Dusknoirs appeared instead.

“Ivysaur look out-Woah!” Red tried to warn before being forced to dodge one of the Dusknoir’s scythes himself.

“Red? Red!” Ivysaur squealed upon realizing the other was engaging her in battle.

“Ivysaur! Quick, Squirtle: Use Hydro Pump on it!” Red commanded Squirtle to defend his team mate.
“My turn? Aw-some! Awesome. Squirtle Squirt!” Squirtle sheepishly took position and a deep breath, spraying a heavy torrent at the black-robed fiend.

“Cool!” Squirtle really lamely punned as he took another breath and this time exhaled a chilly mist intending the freeze the water soaking the Dusknoir’s robe solid.

“Finish them off before they can cry for help!” Red instructed as Ivysaur hastily scooped him up and carried him to the safety of the cave. “Use Tail Whip!”
Squirtle somersaulted into the air, retracting all his limbs but his tail into his shell and spun rapidly, pelting the frozen Dusknoir with strikes of his tail, intending to shatter the ice with it still inside.

The things here were strange, but no stranger than what Hansel was used to seeing on a daily basis. Even the sky changing could be likened to the color shifts in the moon above the Jail. Fortunately, these creatures did not appear to be difficult to dispatch.

The candied giant lumbered forward, quicker on his feet than he appears. While the monster tamer struck down one of the monsters, he threw out his fists at the other in a sequence of three punches. With pure brute force, he punched the reaper looking thing apart, it was probably dead before the last punch.

It was almost too easy to hit these ones, but there must be more after this so Hansel urged them forward. They did some damage before they were gone, they were going to risk a war of attrition if that kept happening. "We Cannot Let Ourselves Tire Fighting Weak Enemies."
