Special Items
[/div]E Gadd’s Infect-o-Lube x1
Horseless Headless Horsemann's Headtaker: This powerful axe is unwieldy to use, but hits quite hard. It is cursed by bloodthirsty spirits that sometimes whispepr in the wielder's head, usually encouraging them to use it for its intended purpose. It deals 24 damage, but suffers a -1 penalty to its accuracy. You can only use it six times in a given thread without suffering from the severe exhaustion status for 2 turns, after which you can use it another six times before suffering the status again, and so on. The first four KOs made with the headtaker will grant you a Smash Spirit of the defeated opponent. You may slay additional foes and replace these spirits, but you may never exceed 4 smash spirits obtained by this blade, nor are the spirits obtained by this blade tradeable unless the blade itself is traded with them.
Horseless Headless Horsemann's Head x1: Wearing this armored headpiece bestows the wearer with the strength of undeath. They gain a +2 bonus to their physical modifiers, deal +5 damage, take -5 less damage, and a +4 bonus to defense rolls against critical hits and attempts at intimidating others. Taking 50 cumulative damage while wearing the mask will break it, permanently consuming the item.
Mirage Moneybags: LEGENDARY ITEM Congratulations, you now employ your very own butler! This stuffy, snooty bear will do anything you ask him for! ...For the right price. Up to twice per thread, he can appear and offer to manipulate the environment somehow on your behalf, such as by creating a magic vortex to carry you upward, extending a magic bridge to let you cross a gap, unlocking a door, demolishing a wall. He'll do it all for the right cost. The only thing he won't do is interact with enemies. This is sort of a logic cheat. It doesn't give you any actual mechanical benefit to rolls and such. It just gives you a pretty powerful tool to try and logic your way around things. That's not to say he has no mechanical benefit. One of his uses per thread can instead be used to get him to teach you a technique, allowing you to copy a move so long as it isn't dependent on a weapon or item you don't have. This move remains in your arsenal for the thread, though you may use it as justification to properly learn the move permanently later. Lastly, once a year you can pay him back for all his greed by taking a cut out of his profits! By force, if necessary. Contact a staff member to use this function, which grants 1000 coins. The reset date for this function is November 1st
Sparx the Dragonfly: LEGENDARY ITEM A little mirage friend who'll fly around and protect you from harm. His job is to guard young dragons using his magic until they're mature enough to get by on their own. Are you a dragon? I'unno. Probably not? But apparently you won him in the race and he agreed to accompany you, so you must've rescued him from someone or something. He confers a permanent +4 constitution bonus.
Ineptune's Strongarm Bracelets: LEGENDARY ITEM These golden plate bracelets fit around the forearm and produce a stabilizing force that makes lifting things significantly easier. While wearing them, you can lift up to 1,000 pounds without meaningfully straining yourself and up to 3,200 pounds before you risk being crushed. Throwing heavy objects is a 2 action ordeal, one for lifting and one for throwing, that deals 30 damage with a 50% chance of disabling a stat of your choice. And comparatively, this allows you to lift and throw others in a single action, skipping the need for a separate grapple action. It also allows you to use oversized weapons as if they were meant for you, taking no penalties related to size or strength for using them. However, after five rounds of exerting yourself with the bracelets (any round in which you take an action using them) they begin to fatigue you, causing you to take a -2 penalty to your strength and dexterity modifiers. This penalty doesn't apply during any turn you aren't using them, however. Pushing yourself beyond this point is possible, however you will likely wind up with lengthy recovery periods afterwards when you do find the time to stop.
Sans Doppel Body: Confers a free special move that acts as as the user inhabiting the Sans Doppelbody.
Hungry Cookpot: Apparently this magical cookpot was created from the essence of a gluttonous monster that preyed upon travelers. Draw power from it to give your character access to the devour command from Final Fantasy VIII. This is invoked with a grapple roll using any logical grappling stats at your disposal. If successful, you swallow the victim whole using the power of cartoon physics and a spatial distortion technique that, in practice, smart shrinks the victim ju~ust enough to avoid any unfortunate size related limitations. After this, normal grapple mechanics cease to apply. While the target is eaten you gain 2 stat points in their two highest stats (if there is a tie, you may choose from the tied stats) and only take half damage from all of their attacks through the power of bullying them with your body. Additionally, any dex targeting attack they make against you will target your CON stat instead. However, they also take half damage from all outside sources and are outright immune to outside attacks that target CON. To escape, they must deal 40% cumulative damage to you which can be offset by any healing you receive. If the target fails to escape in 4 turns or is KO'd, your stat bonus becomes permanent for the rest of the mission. However, you cannot boost your stats by more than 4 using this method. This item has a 4 turn cooldown.
Once a turn you may deal 15% digestion damage to the victim, healing yourself for 5% health as a free action that cannot be dodged or bubble shielded. At the cost of an action, however, you can upgrade this to 25% damage and grant your next attack a 5% damage bonus attributed to a burst of energy. If you do this at least once and the victim escapes, they are afflicted with the burn status upon escaping.
Alternatively, you can choose a more protective route to keeping them prisoner. All attack rolls directed at them can instead be intercepted and rolled against by yourself, including mental attacks. While doing this, you gain a +3% damage bonus against anyone who attacked the target in the past 3 turns and a +3% healing bonus towards the target. However, these bonuses cease to function for the turn if the target attacks you from within, even if they fail to do any damage.
Magical Girl Transformation Wand x1: Buys you a special move you can use to transform into a magical girl!
Vampire Teeth x1: A pair of vampire teeth! When worn your constitution and wisdom stats increase by 4 for three turns. You also have the ability to bite others as a grapple roll, infecting them with vampirism and granting them the same stat buffs you have for three turns. During those three turns you may issue commands to the victims as a wisdom roll, which they must obey unless they can resist using their INT stat. You also gain a new final smash called 'Batty' turns you into a vampire bat. This lets you do one of the following: instantly flee from a battle, teleport out and back into a mission with an item from your bank or drink an opponent's blood, causing 35% damage and healing yourself for 20%. This item cannot be used if your character is exposed to direct sunlight, and direct sunlight will end it's effects prematurely.
Trophy Stand: An ancient relic from the war against Tabuu. This humble gold colored plate can be identified by the symbol on its base and can be used to create a custom assist trophy of characters. This can either be done willingly or by force. It can be thrown at an enemy, dealing 40% damage. If they are KO'd by this damage or were already defeated prior to it, an assist trophy is created. Alternatively, someone can use it to create their own assist trophy willingly at no penalty. The nature of these assist trophies is abstract. They could be robots like normal assist trophies, or some form of advanced magic. Just make sure a given AT is portrayed consistently. Once used, this item is consumed and replaced with the custom assist trophy in question. This assist trophy can be used to summon a copy of the character in question to aid the user with access to all that character's attacks and stats, but with the following restrictions:
Yuki-Onna’s Ice Spirit Hair Clip: Attaching this Hair Clip causes your body's internal temperature to cooldown incredibly far, Until suddenly, you find yourself chilled like a Ice Spirit for 4 Turns! During this time, you gain a buff that causes all of your WIS Based moves to gain a 30% Chance to Freeze, as well as converting any other Status-ailment chances into Chances to afflict Freeze instead.
You also gain A Unique Final Smash, "Zero Below", Which causes the entirety of the field to be afflicted with a horrific Blizzard! This causes every enemy to be guaranteed to be Frozen, And the entire landscape is covered in snow, for Three Turns! Any Resistances to the Frozen Status are considered mute during this time!
