(Music to set the mood.)

The motley crew of Trainer Red, Gruntilda, Coco & Pura, and Kaine all being led down into the area known as Neo Arcadia by the one known as Ray 01 would soon find that this spot where they were in had a lot of scattered remains of other robots and machines. Ray 01 kept his headlights on as the others followed him into what looked like a giant hole in the ground but upon further inspection it seemed to be more than just a hole, it was an entrance it seemed. Leading the group further down into this downward slant that was completely pitch black as the tunnel of sorts was not lit at all. Only because of the headlights that Ray 01 naturally had on could anyone seen anything in front of them. 

Moving onward toward the end of the tunnel Ray 01 had stayed close to the group as not to get separated from them. As they left the tunnel it looked like their was another city located beneath Neo Arcadia. It was a large domed city much like the one above it actually but it seemed in complete ruin, but the cause did not look natural like the one above it. This city had many plants that were still alive and running water too. Whatever happened here everything except the nature parts of the city were left untouched. As for everything else holes in the walls along with many skeletons that lay there amongst the debris of the collapsed houses and structures remained. It was as if that this was recent as the bones laying amongst the rubble were not dust at this point.

Upon arrival Ray 01, if he could show emotion at all in this form, looked very distraught or at least from what anyone would notice upon exiting the cave like tunnel toward the city. Old streetlights still lit up the domed city while most for some reason were not broken as much as the other structures. "Oh no. This is worse than I thought." Ray 01 said as he looked around then turned off his headlights. The street lamps illuminating the area perfectly enough for everyone to see perfectly. "This is my old home. Rather what's left of it. But there is hope, the streetlights being lit means the power core is here in the city. That's good news right?" Ray 01 would ask the others.

Kaine silently followed Ray 01 as she arrived at Neo Arcadia. She kept quiet, but her double swords were out in case some starvia monster comes and attacks the group. If that was the case, and she hoped it was, then she was ready to slice them in half before they could have the chance to attack themselves.

She walked into the tunnel with Ray as he turned on the headlights, it looks as if she would have to stay close to him in order to have a light source. "Great, now those zombie bastards could have the chance to jump us." Regardless of the limited lighting, Kaine was ready to attack if there was anything suspicious in the tunnels.

But, nothing happened, instead they soon arrived at another city, however it's destruction has left Ray distraught. "Do you mind telling us instead of leaving us all in the fucking dark? I don't think it'll help if you sit down on your ass and whine about it." Although, it was obvious that this city was likely Ray's old home, as he soon confirmed. It seemed that he didn't take the destruction of his home well.

Compared to Kaine when she lost her first two homes. She didn't care that they were gone, but she was more worried about the people that lived with her, who were now gone as well. But by now, she was used to sleeping anywhere inside and outside of the Life Sphere.

Ray was still hopeful however that the power core could still be found, as did Kaine. Even if she secretly didn't show it, she hoped finding these power cores or battery's could help her get back to her own world and leave this dead planet behind. It was hopeless trying to claim the planet as the citizen's own with that disease running rampant everywhere.

"If those ~{@# Haven't reach it first and tainted it with whatever weird purple shit comes out of their mouths." Kaine however, was ready to start looking for the power core.

"Do you have any idea on where the power core is. Like the last time you saw it, or in a place that stores shit like that?" She asked Ray.

“…” You’d think Red would have said something to the human-looking girl he was traveling with as they followed the robot in pitch blackness for such a long hike. Considering their only other company was a Patrat, her Torracat, the ugliest Hatterene he’d ever seen, that is. Or at least used his own flashlight. Wasn’t he the least bit scared of getting jumped for a random encounter? Or was that exactly what he wanted?

“…!” Emerging from the tunnel, Red had to shield his eyes from the sudden abundance of light. It was the ruins of an entire city locked underground. The remote underground location made it easily accessible for Ground and Rock types looking for a habitat. The floral reclamation and running water could make it hospitable to Grass and Water types too. Any any combination thereof could be waiting around any corner! And a little unnervingly… Just as many Ghost Types could be lurking in any shadow too, with all the bones littered everywhere.

“…” Red could only shake his head in solemn solidarity with Ray 01’s despair that these ruins are what became of his home. His optimism was met in equal measure with an encouraging shrug.
But if you can’t say something nice, why say anything at all? This was put to the test with Kaine’s loud mouth, regardless of what her body was saying.

Tuning out her ranting, Red took a silent observation of the city that laid before him, looking for any path of light that might lead in the direction of a source.

Gruntilda's Theme

Gruntilda waddled her way down the tunnel with the others. The tunnels reminding her of the cavernous system of her old lair. You can never forget your first evil lair. Sure Cauldron Keep was nice and a giant doomsday weapon with it, but it didn't have a giant bust of her head on the side of it. Every evil lair should have a giant statue of the owner's head on it so people can know who it belongs to.

Also, Gruntilda didn't appreciate the mouth of the pretty young lady. Who should have been eating more soap in their youth for that sailor's mouth of theirs. And after she said a swear so bad it had to be censored is when Gruntilda decided to speak up to the harlot.

"Watch your mouth you skimpy dressed tramp, your cursing is giving me a stomach cramp!" she said.

At the very least the hip skateboard teen is being silent throughout this whole thing. As Gruntilda is looking around the ruined city the robot expresses grief as this place was once where they came from. She was surprised to see a robot show any emotion. They certainly don't make them like they used to.

While she noticed the silent brooding cool guy go off to look around to find the thing they came for. Gruntilda decides to look around and investigate herself.

Coco was sitting on her pet tiger sideways as he followed the other members of the party. She had her laptop open on her lap as she looked through some tabs on the way. She glanced over to her partners. Ray apparently was some guy trapped in the body of a toy robot when he came to Li. The robot apparently was made for fighting though so it wasn't entirely bad. Still, talk about unfortunate...

Then there was Red. A Pokemon Trainer with a history as a Champion before traveling around. Apparently was involved in the past war too... Kaine she did not have much data on weirdly but from her vulgarness she can kind of guess why that was herself. Then there was Grunty... she didn't really need to look up her ION Profile to know she was definitely your classic witch.  Even rhymed like she was a childern's book.

She looked at the city then... Well, it was definitely about what she expected. Maybe even better if she was a pessimist. Shame they were here to take this city's power source. ".. Wouldn't be a bad place to convert into a second home. A lot of the groundwork is down, reasonably well hidden, clearly the power connectors work. Kind of makes me rethink our objective a bit..." Coco thinks out loud as Pura just eyes the area for a long moment. "Like she said though there is a strong possibility someone found this place before us..."


"I guess we can consider that when we have a better look though, huh? Anyway..." she continues as she looks back to her computer and types. "I've been trying to get a trace for power signatures on the way here. Fortunately with the lights on I might be able to pinpoint the source and give us a direction to go off," she continues as she types into her program to scan for energy signatures. She should be able to note the source after looking for a minute. "... Even if it's not now, someday when the Starvia is finished we can definitely repair this city," she adds specifically to Ray to encourage him a bit. "For now though, let's find that power source."

Sure Coco had a point that this place could easily be converted to another base of operations and that did spark a few ideas for Victor but their was an overall problem with that idea, they had no shield from the Starvia in here.

Even if they were able to make another one based on the groundwork of the life sphere they would still need to get rid of whatever was around here, something was lingering here and that much Victor knew as he mentioned before the drones he sent to investigate the area were destroyed by an unknown force. "Not a bad idea really but I have a hunch that it would be hard to make happen if whatever happened to my scouting drones is still here."

The one known as Kaine was right even if she was crass about the whole thing. "Back when I was here last all of the important stuff happened at the Police Station. It's likely they'll also have notes on where the power core is if they were hiding the existence of the outside world for years on end." Ray 01 spoke as he would pace toward the Police Station out of memory. If the others followed him they would hear strange sounds echo out nearby.

Something was indeed here and it was coming closer to them! A shadow loomed over them all but as soon as they would turn around it would not be there anymore. "I was right, something is indeed in the city. Let's book it!" Ray 01 said as he ran as fast as he could toward the designated area.

The same strange sounds grew louder and suddenly a gun shot echoed through the area as it hit one of the lit lamps thus darkening the area around it as the glass broke from the impact on the lightbulb. The Hunter is about to strike!

(Okay everyone roll a 1d20+WIS for a Perception Roll. Depending on your result, next turn something might happen to one of you.)

"I don't think it's a good idea. I would rather stay in a place where I won't easily suffocate to death from a possible cave in." As Kaine pointed out how bad of an idea it was to restore a town like this to Coco. She quickly glared at Gruntilda, who called her a tramp.

Oh and someone with a skimpy dress.

"You're the one to talk you wrinkled nose witch. At least I don't have to put my head inside some kind of." She looked at Gruntilda's head gear.

"Fish tank that you probably ate all of the fish in." Kaine would turn back towards Ray, who talked about where the notes could be, it seemed as though they would likely be in the Police Station somewhere in the city.

"Let's speed this shit up, before whoever was here before us hears us and tries to get to the Police Station before us." Kaine would begin to follow Ray towards the Station. But as she did she would begin to hear strange noises.

And more so, she had a feeling that the group were being followed now. Hesitantly, she grabbed her sword and, when she feels that whoever is following the group is behind her, she took out her duel swords and swung behind her.

But nobody was there. She quickly took a few steps back as Ray, who seemed to have also caught on what was going on, made it quite clear that he wanted to get to the Police Station just as quickly as Kaine.

"If it wasn't so fucking obvious already." Before Kaine would follow Ray though. She checked the shadows, to see if she could find anything suspicious.

Like the person that was stalking the group.

“... -. .-. -.-” Red had to cover his mouth with a balled fist to suppress the impulse to laugh at Gruntilda and Kaine’s exchange. He hadn’t found the signs to the power core, so their banter was an easy distraction. So, he resolved to follow Ray 01 to the Police Station. Surely there were organized documents to reference. A map always makes traversing ruins like this easier.
“…!” Even over the 12 footsteps between him and his partners, Red sensed the unmistakable echo of something approaching. He’d weathered enough random encounters to welcome this, but when he turned around to see what wild Pokémon appeared, there was nothing. A Ghost-type? Maybe it was toying with him.

“…” Despite Ray 01 insisting they pick up the pace and flee, Red nonchalantly turned around again, hoping to get it a second time. Instead of repeat behavior, however, a gunshot took out the lamp and engulfed him in darkness. Crafty... Pokéball already in his hand at this point, he looked around with what diminished light he had to see what his target targeting him was.
“!..!”

Gruntilda's Theme

Gruntilda did appreciate what Kaine said about her either. Especially the fisk tank comment.

"I didn't design this body I had no choice, I was reduced to but a skull and my only weapon was my voice," Gruntilda said.

As Gruntilda listened to the cute Bandicoot Coco talks about making this place a base she thought about how she reminded him of Tooty. And has considered the possibility of taking her looks for herself, even a brain swap if she must. Unfortunately, though she's trying to not betray them so she can be able to have her punishment for losing L.O.G.'s game lowered so that she can no longer be forced to toil in his video game factory. Though a lot of people note that this place might not be entirely safe to make a new base out of. Though she does enjoy the atmosphere of this place the whole spooky lost buried city vibes it has is something she has never used before in one of the many lairs and places she owned that the bear and bird were forced to go through.

"Ah just reinforce the tunnels like in a mine, and I'm sure the foundation of this place will be fine." Gruntilda said.

As they were going towards the abandoned police station it seems something was following them. Something big as they then needed to book it. As she began to run as fast she could with her short legs. She looked around to see what exactly the thing they are running from is and where is it so it doesn't get the jump on her.

"Whatever beast is there do your worst, but make sure you don't attack me first!" she yelled.
