The Ice PSI looked like it was freezing the substance from the bottom up, causing the object to rise. However the PSI could not raise it to the top alone and it was still a decent amount buried under the strange goop. The fire seems to dissolve a good portion of the goop but it also melted the object back to where it originally was. Fortunately with Raguna's backup the lingering heat of the fireball managed to get rid of it enough for someone to grab the object. The source of their venture was an ornate key with a paw shape and a yellow coloration that Paula might identify as similar to the safe feeling room from the other house.

Meanwhile Captain N could notice when he looked into the bus the hunched over body of a kappa. However before he could make sure the body was okay a ticking noise and several beeps might catch his attention. Following this the bus started up and the doors began to close behind the game master. One's game instincts might also tell them this was a bad sign.

(Captain N! Roll a 10 or higher in DEX to get away from the bus or you will take 40% damage from the upcoming event)

After the doors shut the bus would begin driving itself straight towards the fountain! The bus would attempt to ram through the group before exploding in a shower of goop as it hit the fountain.

(Everyone else! The bus is attempting to ram into you and explode! Roll a 15 or higher in DEX to completely evade it or take 30% damage from the resulting explosion. If you roll lower than an 11 you get hit by the bus as well and take 60% damage. You can automatically dodge with your shield but this will instantly break your shield)

After the fountain exploded it rained the sludge but fortunately someone grabbed the key before it was destroyed. The final warning thunderbolt signified they did not have much time to process what just happened before they headed in.

Paula slouched slightly when Gruntilda was unable to get the key. "Bad luck." She then turned over to see that Raguna was offering to help the group and she stood aside and watched as he managed to get the item out of the fountain, which Paula was impressed by. "Thanks a bunch, I'm sure whatever's down there would help---However, once the item was pulled out of the Fountain, Paula quickly gasped as she recongised the Isabelle key, having seen it before in the last mission involving a Manor like this one.

"That key, I remember seeing it before." Paula said, she looked at Raguna.

"Don't drop that key no matter what you do, it'll come in handy later. Although in a situation that's not dangerous." Paula advised to Raguna before looking around, and realising they were a self aware teen and dog short.

"Huh, where did Kevin and Duke---Suddenly the Shed burst open as a bus quickly drove towards the fountain and towards the trio in an attempt to ram into them.

"A bus, lookout!" Paula shouted as she tried to get out of the way of the oncoming vehicle.

Paula jumped to the side and watched as the bus rammed into the Fountain, causing it to explode and rain goop everywhere as Paula watched. She didn't care about the raining moss but she was more worried about everyone else's fates. "Guys, are you all alright!?" She ran over towards the remains of the fountain to check on Raguna and Gruntilda first, and then try to find Kevin and Duke before the rain starts, which was going to start anytime soon.

"We should try and get into the Manor, soon." She warned to everyone.

Gruntilda is surprised to see that the boy knows magic and was able to use a special rune to enhance her fire spell to causing it for a key to be uncovered. It seemed there was some worth for these three young uns to be here after all.

"That was a terrific spell, we are much closer to getting done with this Hell," Gruntilda said.

Though it seems that while he was useful the other boy proved to be more of a nuisance. Activating a trap that sent a bus their way. Gruntilda, since she is too slow to dodge puts a magical bubble-like shield around her to absorb the blow. Thankfully she was fully protected but the shield broke in the process. She wipes the dust off of her dress as she sees the lightning bolt and starts frantically pulling on the back door's knob trying to get in.

"If we take the front entrance we might face an attack, so someone helps and get us through the back!" she yelled out to Raguna and Kevin if he's still alive.

She also worries that whatever/whoever was ominously humming probably heard that loud explosion earlier. So they need to get in quickly before that person comes this way. As an avid fan of horror movies, Gruntilda very much doesn't want to be the victim of one.

"But then again, maybe we should head back to the others?" Kevin asked his partner pup, an audible gulp escaping him as they were met with the sight of the motionless kappa in the driver's seat. As unsettling as the sight was, the Game Master was still mentally preparing himself to further investigate before the odd beeping sounds caught his attention. "That can't be good."

And now the door was closing behind them.

"Yikes! That's definitely not good!"

Just in the nick of time, Kevin and Duke managed to throw themselves back out of the bus by the skin of their teeth before the doors locked them inside of the positively roaring death trap. "Runaway bus!" He called out, hoping to warn his comrades of the oncoming danger as the possessed vehicle demolished the shed and hurtled out to crash into the fountain.

Emerging from the wreckage of the shed, no worse for wear, the Game Master greeted them with an embarrassed chuckle, raising his palms up to shrug. "Hehe--Talk about falling asleep at the wheel; right guys?" Well, at least nobody got hurt by the looks of things. No harm, no foul!

"She's right." Kevin agreed with Paula's judgement call. "That storm looks like it's gonna get real mean soon." Motioning with his arm for the other party members to follow, he proceeded to make a beeline for the back door before being stopped from entering by the intimidating lock. "I don't suppose anyone found a key back there?" If not, Kevin was pretty sure he wouldn't be able to bust through this locked door as easily as the flimsy shed's.

"What's a bus?" he would ask before looking to see what was incoming after Raguna helped Grunty out with her spell with something akin to one with his Rune of the Seasons. Soon getting his answer there was some sort of vehicle heading right toward him and the others that was now flying in the air. "Oh that's a bus....Wait! It's headed right toward me!" Raguna just realized as he would attempt to dodge it.

Raguna just barely managed to get out of the way of the bus but not before taking the key from the fountain as the bus tried to crash right into it from where he was standing. With his quick agility he was able to snatch said key before the bus destroyed the fountain in the process of where it was headed. His fast reflexes moving him toward the back door of the manor and nodding his head toward Paula who said the key was important.

"We should get inside now. I believe that things are just beginning to get strange for us, call it a hunch." Raguna said as he moved under the awning of the entrance of the manor to protect himself from the acid rain. It would likely not be enough but Raguna would try to open the door in front of him for the manor without the key at first but use the key if need be. 

"Let's get moving everyone, I rather would not be melted before we can enjoy the lunches I made for you all first. Not that I want to be melted at all really." Raguna corrected himself.

The back door was attempted by Raguna but the door wouldn't budge as it was tightly secured and locked in it's formidable stature. None dared to actually try picking the lock either from the looks of it. Which is fair, the note is pretty clear the front is the way to go. Regardless the farmhand tried the key from the fountain just to find that the Isabelle Key is not a match for this door.

(The Isabelle Key does not work for the backdoor discovered.)

The winds howled ominously as it seemed the group had no choice but to enter the house from the unlocked front entrance like the note politely asked. Trap or not there did not look like any other way. Well unless you wanted to wait in the rain but that might be a bad choice...

(Everyone! You have to enter through the front door this turn. Staying outside for any reason will result in 120% damage per turn and Soaked. I will describe the front room)

In the foyer was a setup that would be familiar yet slightly different than before for Paula. To their left was stairs leading to the second floor. On their right they can see a stair leading down into a darkish basement. The room in front of them had three exits on top of this. A door leading left, a door leading right and a door leading forward. A bright pink room along the walls and furniture, Pearls and Shell like furniture decking the room in a sea like theme. To add to this the floor was blue and resembled the waters of the ocean in an unique pattern. There was a shelf containing various small sealife, a shell mirror with a shell chair, a pink wardrobe, a shell bed as well as fish tanks that were three. One contained eels, another contained a... Great White Shark just swimming around in the large tank, and one containing a rather large octopus all in the center of the room. The trio of varying sea animals seemed to stare at the newcomers.

Not an exact image of the room, just a reference for the Mermaid Themed Furniture Set this room is based on, notably the floor is different.

This room was definitely different than the Halloween one Paula may of remembered. They are free to explore this room or try to push past it further into the mansion.

"That!" Paula pointed to Raguna the incoming bus that was going to hit them! Fortunately, she had managed to get out of the way and turned towards Kevin when he made a joke regarding the bus... Even if they almost died in the process.

"Well, we could of died. But thankfully, everyone was okay and hasn't suffered any lasting injuries after what happened." Paula got up from the ground as she wiped the dust from her shoulders before looking up at the sky.

And the incoming acid rain, and what's worse, the Isabelle key didn't work on that door when Raguna tried it out. "It's not use. We're going to have to risk it and get in through the front door, in spite of what could happen." If the worst case scenario happens and someone does attack them at the front door, then the could can easily just escape and come back another day with a bigger team that can overpower the enemy. Regardless of how strong he is.

Paula quickly raced back towards the front door and jumped in just as it was about to rain, she landed on the floor and was surprised to see that the place was mermaid themed now instead of Halloween themed.

Although Paula was still worried, as it still had the same structure as the last Manor.

"Hm, just thinking back about the last Manor gives me the creeps. I'm free with going in any room or the Basement, just, not upstairs. The last time I was at this sort of Manor. He first appeared upstairs and attacked my group." Paula said, before looking over at the pink wardrobe, she decided to check it out first while waiting for everyone else.

Hopefully nothing would happen by looking in a wardrobe.

Unless he was hiding in it.

Gruntilda ran as fast as she could through the front door, to escape the incoming acid storm. Though what she just saw was scarier than anything she saw outside, to her at least. As she witnessed the disgusting pink mermaid-based decor she cringed in horror. If she had a gag reflex still she would vomit from this wretched sight. The octopus, shark, and eel tanks were a nice touch though but were the only good thing to see in this eye assaulting room. She notices the door forward, that could lead into the back room they tried to get in through earlier.

She didn't want to be in this room any longer than she had to be, as she books it through this room to the next room. As she begins to investigate it for anything of note.

"I'm all for giving Duke a bath, but I think I'm taking his side on this one." Kevin exclaimed, looking back at the steadily ramping storm after the key failed to open the back door's lock. "We gotta bounce!" Needing no further persuasion, the Game Master and his loyal pup wasted no time booking it around the house through the raging downpour before rushing inside and slamming the door behind them once everyone made it inside.

"Far out..." Taking the time to catch their breathes gave the gamer enough time to soak in the oddly aquatic theme of the manor's main foyer. He'd seen some odd level transitions before, but this really took the cake. "Whoever lives here's got some 'special' tastes." Kevin agreed with Gruntilda's apt gag. It certainly was a bit of an eyesore, if not a little creepy at that. Granted this is the same guy who thinks lava lamps are cool so don't take his interior decorating advice to heart.

They were finally inside though, which meant it was time to get on with the mission at hand. And there only one thing that needed saying at such a time: "Alright gang! Let's split up and look for clues." Kevin announced, turning to face the rest of his party members before they got to work. "We can cover more ground and find the survivors faster." He went on to explain.

"I'll take Duke and head upstairs. Meanwhile Paula, since you're nervous, you can take Raguna and check out what's in the basement once you finish up in here. Grunty-" Aaaaand Gruntilda had run through one of the doors. "...Looks like she's raring to go already~!" The old hag's sheer haste to leave their aquatic-themed surroundings and rush into the next room earned a few laughs from the young Game Master. Storm aside, things were still pretty light-hearted it seemed. Well, Kevin had been exposed to much spookier sights in the past, so he wasn't gonna be unnerved that easy.

With that, Kevin and his canine companion ventured forth up the stairs--on the hunt for any sign of the survivors or that so-called "monster" Paula was panicking over.

Raguna booked it over to the front of the mansion as fast he could given how acid rain was about to pour on top of them. Raguna rushed into the mansion as fast as he could run with the others already ahead of him. As soon as he made it inside the decor of the inside of this part of the mansion threw him off quite a bit.

"I've never seen this much aquatic themed things in a house before. It's quite nice actually." Raguna said admiring the decor before deciding to help out Paula with the basement. Kevin certainly knew how to lead that was for sure as Raguna would then investigate what he could in this room then into the basement with Paula shortly afterward.

Raguna found a stray piece of coral lying around on a table!... Maybe it'll be useful? Anyway, as Paula opened the dresser rather easily she would find a note on the back wall. "Welcome Back, Paula. " it said with a long space of no writing but at the bottom of the note was much smaller words that noted.





"Hope you can swim." added in a weird ominousness. Speaking of ominous, Grunty's choice offered nothing less as the door she opened just led into a long wooden hallway. It was really dark with a door at the end but before that door was a small lad staring at it with only a few overhead lights hanging above. He just idly hummed to himself, the same humming that could be heard outside. Suddenly the lights in the hall flickered before it was pitch black for a brief moment with him going quiet. In the next the young mayor was right in front of Grunty with a cheerful smile but a sinister twinkle in his eye... Wait, was this really the monsterous killer?

The villager would just silently point at the ground as the entire room had a sinking feeling... Wait, they were actually sinking and wet? The floor below them turned into actual water. Miraculously the furniture stayed standing on the tides. He then fished into his pockets and pulled out a few live electric eels before chucking them into the water. He then goes back to fumbling through his pockets.

(Grunty, Raguna, Paula! Killager has appeared and turned the Mermaid Room into a trap! You have to roll STR instead of DEX to move and you are soaked with the duration only starting to end when you get out. Also there are eels. Roll a 14 or higher in STR to outswim the eels and get back to the entrance platform that thankfully isn't water. Grunty, you can easily just pull yourself up onto the floor in front of you... It's also the same floor Killager is standing on however and just is a narrow hallway so take that as you will. If you fail to outswim the eels you take 15% damage and a 50% chance of Paralysis and are stuck in the water that turn.)

Meanwhile, with less immediate danger.... In fact stepping up stairs and turning to his left there was a Cherry Blossom covered forest with a picnic blanket and several Japanese Cuisines just sitting down. They smelled fresh too... You know. If you wanted to eat food you found in a creepy house that is the source of several missing cases with an indoors forest... In fact it almost looked like an actual forest if it was not for three doors in the different corners. The one on the right resembled an old american western diner with a classic triangle sign saying they were in fact open. The door on the left was a bit more in place as it was actually attached to a log cabin. The one directly across from him was yellow with a pawprint similar to the key they found in the fountain. Inside the room itself was not much else outside lamps and a water basin Kevin could check if he wanted to. There was stairs leading further up but they led to a padlocked Attic door that had a very intricate lock. So not getting through there without the key item.

With Paula gone a replacement was needed, and that girl was Lili Zanotto, who just avoided the acid rain as she managed to get where everyone was in the Manor. After looking at the destruction that the bus had caused upon her arrival, as she walked in. She failed to notice the water in the Mermaid Room.

"Hey, I came because Paula had to go iron some buildings together or something like that. Where's that mean Killager---AHh!" Lili fell into the water and had gotten soaked as a result, after trying her best to dodge the burning rain, she turned towards the Killager.

"You, you're that crazy kid with the giant pair of scissors right!?" She pointed over to the Killager.

Wait, wrong kid. This one had an axe, not scissors.

"Oh, wrong guy. But we're still going to stop you." Right after Lili manages to outrun those nasty eels and get out of the water.

Despite not doing well when it comes to swimming (It was the only grade at her school where she had gotten an F.) Lili had quickly managed to outswim the Eels and reach the entrance platform. She quickly climbed up onto it before looking at the Killager.

Breathing heavily as she did.

"Is there more of these traps that I don't know about?" She asked to Gruntilda and Raguna, looking down at them from the platform.

Lili also took a moment to see how soaked she was.

Gruntilda will then meet with the mad man she was warned about, blocking the hallway out of the accursed ugly pink room. Who somehow floods the room and fills it with electric eels. Now she has to find another way out. If she goes to the stairs leading down into the basement it will be flooded too so no use going down there. Going upstairs seems to be the safer option as it's away from the water, and thus further from the ax-wielding maniac.


She tries to paddle with her large body as fast she good, along with some kicking to speed things up.

So close and yet so far, swimming isn't her forte. As the electric eels easily managed to get onto her big body and swarm on her shocking her.

As thanks to the electric eels zapping her partially mechanical body, especially with one grabbing the tube connecting the skull tank to the body L.O.G. gifted her that allows her to be able to control it. She begins to lose control of it and is unable to move.


"I have been caught by these eels curse my luck, someone come help me because I am stuck," she pleads to anyone that can hear her.

Raguna found a piece of coral just now? Maybe it could be useful for something but as he was just getting comfortable in this room the Killager said something ominous about being able to swim. "Wait what do you mean by...." But before he could finish the floor turned into actual water before him with electric eels readily swimming toward him. "...that." he finished as he would move to get out of the water safely.

"Huh, I can dig it." Kevin happily hummed while admiring his newly discovered room. Cherry blossoms, how zen. Maybe this guy wasn't as scary as he was cracked up to be.

"And, I can dig in!" And of course, by law of manor mysteries as the dog and teenager duo, they made a beeline for the food... or at least Duke did and Kevin was obligated to follow. "Well if they just left it lying there, I'm sure they won't miss a bite or two." The food looked eastern, but at least he recognized the sushi. Kevin attempted to finagle some kind of sandwich out of it before knocking back the whole thing in one gulp (sushi is small so it checks out, don't worry).

While Duke continued to gorge himself, the sated Captain N decided to investigate the room a little more, peering inside the water basin to check its contents.
