With immense pressure to talk from his colleagues after Seifer had brought the concern to light, Vivi felt he had no choice but to fess up. It also did not help his nerves having the one known as Dimentio threaten him so harshly. The magical shuriken to Vivi's face also made him uneasy and quite sweaty. If Evil Vivi wasn't a thing, and Vivi had all his power and magic to himself, Dimentio would have regretted this power play in seconds, but, for now, Vivi had no choice but to cooperate and come out with it. He also needed the team on his side, and honesty was always the best policy. The last thing he needed especially in this current dire moment, was to have more enemies on his case. He also especially needs Cloud, the most important of them all, to ensure that chest does not get into the wrong hands.
"Fine! Fine! Please don't threaten and berate me anymore! I'll talk. I'll share it all. Not like I've done enough talking already, but anyway...." He sighs, spilling the beans and not sparing any details to have the team's full trust and cooperation in him. "I may have fibbed a bit on how some of those things in the chest were obtained and put together....mostly about the grabbing the Anti-Essence in outer space thing...heh...you see...." Vivi gulped. "Even someone of my magical prowess could never pull off puncturing the atmosphere on this estranged planet. There is a higher power and mystical force greater than my own and anyone else's for that matter inhabiting Li, that has made the atmosphere and the Starvia within the ozone of this planet so thick, it would easily kill anyone trying to escape this place without some truly god like magical ability." He goes on having no evidence or information on the deity or being, perhaps even several, that created this planet and trapped so many individuals here from so many worlds. So he just states facts. Like the truth about how the chest came to be.
"The Anti-Essence, and the Crude Essence....they were found long before my involvement with the artifacts. They originally belonged to...." He came out with it now. "Black Shadow. What THAT louse and his Infected slave over there called, their Master..." Seifer hears this after pausing a moment stopping his pursuit of Vivi along with holding the Infected Squall back for the group to have time to make a choice, and grimaces at the mage. "Who you calling louse, tiny!? Get to the good part already!" Vivi ignores the statement and keeps going. "Black Shadow found The Anti-Essence and Crude Essence shortly after The First Fall...before the Life Sphere was a thing really....when he was, well, not mad and insane and cooperating with E. Gadd, Sonic, Samus, and Mario scavenging for supplies and survivors along the wastelands." Vivi keeps the momentum of his facts and words going, trying to hasten to the whole truth. Seifer chimes in again.
"He was never insane. He's a genius. Your friends the nutty professor, mister blue balls, hot chick in a suit, and the pornstache plumber didn't agree with the ideas of experimentation he had to make those surviving the planet stronger by using the Starvia and regulating it as a weapon, instead of a disease. They never gave him the chance to do his experiments the way HE wanted. They didn't believe the Starvia could be controlled. E. Gadd wouldn't let him. So he disbanded from the group and went on his own. To find his own way to survive the planet instead of a stupid bubble town. But just look at Squall here..." Seifer points the tip of his blade at Infected Squall who remained en guard and as obedient to his commands as ever.
"He does anything I say. So how is this not proof, that having the Starvia in your system, wouldn't cause you to go mad? He's alot better now than he was as a close minded goody two shoes who didn't understand the meaning of power and natural selection. Only the strong survive. He didn't undergo experimentation willingly at first....but he was later convinced. And now look at him..." Seifer walks up to Squall and squishes his cheeks together shaking his face like an animal being coddled and looks at the group. "He's a compliant little puppy. And we couldn't be closer friends. Ain't that right Squally boy?" He lets go of Squall's face and he says nothing. Instead remains at the ready to attack as needed. Vivi cuts in at Seifer's snide remarks. "He's brainwashed. A figment of what he is Mr. Seifer! It's inhumane. He won't remain obedient forever, it's only a matter of time before he snaps!" Seifer puts a finger to his mouth and quickly signals Vivi to shush. "Why don't you get to your point for your pals already. Skip the theatrics and just tell em what you did to our Master." Vivi unfortunately obliges.
"Anyway....Black Shadow found the Crude Essence and The Anti-Essence on his own after he disbanded from the original founders of the Life Sphere....he didn't fully explain to me how he got his hands on these things, but he did mention going to the Essence Extraction Point and finding these things there. The Anti-Essence in specific....was something he mentioned fell from the sky. But that's all I knew of it, and that it had the exact opposite effect of the Crude Essence. The Crude Essence amplified Starvia power. The Anti-Essence through his experimentation weakened it, to the point where those infected with Starvia through trial and error, had their minds coherent enough to comply with whatever Black Shadow wanted, but not enough to where it was as if they were not Infected at all." Black Shadow admittedly made a breakthrough that wasn't entirely negative, but Vivi didn't want to believe it.
"But they became manageable slaves to his desires, instead of mindless fiends too Infected to do anything but attack in rage. He utilized both types of essence to make his own army of compliant and terribly powerful drones. He found the perfect formula to make a world that he wanted. He needed the Anti-Essence to weaken the control Starvia had on their brains, but using the Crude Essence to keep the power the Starvia had on their bodies in tact. If it wasn't for the Life Sphere's heroes interfering, he would have gotten everything he wanted and more...." Seifer rolls his eyes hating that Vivi was taking so long to get to the point but allows him to get babbling a bit longer as he cleaned his sword.
"I fell to this world not long after those First To Fall. Black Shadow found me traversing the wastelands on my own shortly after he disbanded from E. Gadd and the others. He took me under his wing and explained his grand plan to control the Starvia to use as a weapon to survive this planet and find a way to make it inhabitable and live with the Infected around us rather than destroy them. But he mentioned he needed to crush all those in the Life Sphere before his plan can be fully realized due to their opposing views. He spoke about them as if they were the enemies. And I believed him. This was, ofcourse before I had met anyone in the Life Sphere....so I took his word for it and truly gave in to his views thinking he was right." Seifer is losing his patience.
"He WAS right. Get that straight, worm." Vivi ignores Seifer and keeps going. "Black Shadow made a little base camp for himself near the Essence Extraction Point eventually. Which later became a fortress. Not to the Life Sphere's caliber, but decently reinforced. And after joining his side for a time, I was finding Infected and rounding them up for him. We scoured neighboring abandoned labs and facilities for supplies and chemicals to help aid his research and experiments. During this time, that's when Porky came across our camp, and offered to help...." Seifer sneered at the thought of Porky and his name being brought up.
"Finally, the betrayal is coming up. Now your friends here can know the truth." Seifer stopped cleaning his blade and folded his arms despising this part of the explanation hearing the next bit while scanning the expressions of the team to see what they think and how they react. "I am not proud of this next part. Upon Porky's arrival Black Shadow began to trust him and his theories and thoughts on experimenting with the Starvia to use as weapons and ways to enhance one's abilities, however, one day the two had a disagreement. Black Shadow wanted to inject himself with a strong dose of Starvia using the inhibiting factors of both the Crude Essence and the Anti-Essence to see if he would still maintain control of his mind while boosting his power." The entire idea of Starvia was always around power and enhancement. Around being a weapon and a tool. It was about control and also chaos. Vivi hated that.
"He believed the research being made was far along enough for him to feel safe doing this. However, there was only enough supplies to craft one dose of this experimental drug. Porky argued that he deserved the dose for his efforts, but Black Shadow refused to give him the benefit. That's when him and Porky got into it exchanging blows nearly destroying the lab. I tried to stop them but they were too heated. I assisted Black Shadow in the end with the fight driving Porky away. But at a cost." Vivi touches his chest, signaling that his Materia was taken from him in the process.
"Using one of his mechanical weapons, Porky sucked away my Materia and my magic power was severely weakened. He was forced out of the camp with additional efforts from Black Shadow and his minions, but I noticed that the artifacts were gone after the fight. Including the experimental dose." Vivi is at the meat of it all now. "You see, Black Shadow sealed the artifacts in a chest and locked it away deep within the lab confines. That was the first place we examined after the battle and noticed that it was broken into and the chest was gone. It appeared Porky took the chest long before the fight was even initiated and pulled a fast one. As if he knew things were going to go astray." Vivi looked deeply in thought. He wished he could have prevented this.
"Black Shadow was furious. He had sent me and me only in an espionage to find Porky and get the chest back. My magic power was not nearly as strong without my Materia, but I solemnly agreed. I was small enough to sneak in and get it back and just strong enough to teleport myself, the Materia, the drug, and the artifacts in the chest back to Black Shadow if need be. And Porky had confided in me prior to the big fight where his factory he had been building was located. So I went there." Vivi was now explaining how the question of loyalty came into play between Porky and himself. "Porky and I had many side and secretive conversations behind Black Shadow's back about a different vision of what to do after having control of the Starvia and its power....Black Shadow wanted to control the bodies that Starvia infected...Porky had much bigger plans...he wanted to control the disease itself...." Seifer butts in again. "You sneaky little bastard! Damn right you were secretive! A disloyal snake!" Seifer points his blade at Vivi again and scolds him. Vivi flinches and hurries to the point.
"I believed Porky but I didn't betray Black Shadow. Not then anyway. The way in which he explained things was logical, maybe a bit insane in ways, but his plans seemed more doable than Black Shadow's admittedly. He mentioned he needed the Crude and Anti-Essence to do what he wanted however. And asked me to help him get it from Black Shadow. When I refused...that's when the fight broke out and Porky escaped with the chest by force." Vivi fast forwards to him getting to Porky's factory. "Once I arrived at Porky's Factory after the battle, sneaking passed his security bots and cameras with a basic cloak spell, I made it to his lab within the basement of the factory and saw him using a machine to extract power from both the Crude and Anti-Essence. I was curious so I observed for a time. He was...well...he was experimenting on himself. It was unorthodox and strange to see him poking and prodding himself and bashing away at several consoles and buttons with his many cybernetic arms. A mad man in his own world. Right then I knew he was vulnerable....so before he could come to any sort of conclusion..I took the chance." Vivi opens his palm and shows a small ball of fire and winces at the flame. It depicts an illusion of what happened that day.
"I used a teleportation spell on him while he was vulnerable and sent him far away on the opposite side of the planet. He didn't see the sneak attack coming. That gave me a chance to really look at what he was experimenting with. I found his notes sprawled out on one of his consoles. Pages and pages. He was so close to perfecting what he needed; making the essence of Starvia pure energy instead of disease. He didn't ever perfect it, ofcourse, from what I read he was still missing some things, but it was close. I couldn't help myself at that point. From reading the notes I had thought to myself I could figure out the rest of the formula on my own.
That I could make something better than Black Shadow or Porky EVER could...an enhanced being with pure power instead of infected energy by utilizing both the Crude and Anti-Essence in the way it was meant to be used. Giving it full control of its mind and complete freedom while having such power flow through them. But...I needed a body to test on. And there wasn't a single one in sight." Vivi then closes the flame and points to himself.
"Seeing as I was the only one around. I took a page from Porky and Black Shadow's book and experimented on myself. I noticed there were two chambers enough to fit two bodies, and based on Porky's notes, these were meant to clone living things. So, I used the tech in front of me and connected some transfusion wires into my skin and directly to the Crude and Anti-Essence. Using a mix of my own magic and the tech around me, I began instilling the power of both essences into my blood stream. And then...well...that's where the major mistake happened." Vivi begins to take full blame for both his lie and his actions.
"The transfusion of my blood fused with the power of the essence, and my magic did the rest forging an entire living and breathing version of me into the next chamber out of thin air. The surge running through me was too strong causing me to pass out. And when I awoke, there I saw my twin...Evil Vivi....standing in front of me looking me directly in the eye with such...such a psychotic evil menace that I could never explain. And twice as powerful. I knew right then that I had created a monster.
Not Porky, it was me. I decided to do that instead of simply returning the artifacts to Black Shadow. And this version of me was also incredibly sharp. It was hungry for more power, so it found the chest in the facility, snatched the Anti and Crude Essence, along with finding the Materia of mine Porky stole from me likely for collateral against me so I wouldn't interfere with its motives, and bound it with its own magical essence inside the chest. Because of its pure evil, only a pure heart would be able to counter the seal. Then...it vanished." True shame flooded throughout Vivi just then.
"That's when I knew Black Shadow would have my head, along with Porky, for betraying them both to fulfill my own type of research thinking I had the formula for the perfect specimen reversing the Starvia in the bag. When I didn't. I was a fool to think I ever could master such innate power. So I went into hiding after that....having an enemy on both ends....and now...here we are....please, find it in all your hearts to forgive me. I lied yes, but only because I was ashamed of what I had done. I thought I would make a breakthrough on my end, save the planet in a better way. I was wrong." Finally Vivi finished his bantering. Seifer actually had fallen slightly asleep nodding off in place. Then opens his eyes and yawns. "Alright. Cool. We're done here. Now that you heard all that yammering....I think we can cut to the chase for real now. Obviously the majority of you don't want to play ball....so....I'll spare anymore second guessing and get this rolling properly." Seifer raises his blade to his face in a vertical motion and mutters a spell. "Aura!" A blazing orange glow surrounds Seifer and he gives a vicious grin.
WIS based ability Aura is in play. Seifer's WIS has increased by 3 for 4 turns. His Final Smash; Fire Cross, has also boosted in priority and power. He will use it sooner rather than later during battle.
"Squall, enough of their chatting. Cut em down and retrieve the traitor!" Seifer commands the Infected Squall, and he gets to work.
Infected Squall dashes at Cloud and goes in for a sped up slashing motion mixing the magic of Haste with the added attack magic of Concentrate to boost his efforts.
Infected Squall uses Excel Slash on Cloud. If it hits it will do 23% DMG as well as an added 1% DMG for each number under Cloud's Roll that doesn't meet the DC Dodge Requirement of 14. For example, if Cloud rolls a 10, the attack will now do 27% DMG due to the unique infected power mixed with time magic Squall has coupling with his attacks in one combat turn.
Infected Squall then looks to Dimentio after the efforts, and points his Gunblade at him firing into the sorcerer. Infected Squall uses Infected Bullet at Dimentio. If it hits it will do 20% DMG with a 15% chance to inflict Disabled ailment. DC to dodge is 13.
Infected Squall then leaps into the air and jumps down to strike the Dark Witch with his blade. Leaping Lion is used on Dark Witch. If it hits it will do 25% DMG. No added effect. DC to dodge is 14.
Seifer additionally raises one hand, the hand not holding his blade and snaps his fingers. "Firaga." Seifer uses Firaga. A pillar of fire crashes down on Madotsuki. Seifer uses Firaga on Madotsuki. If it his it will do 29% DMG with 25% chance of Burn. DC to dodge is 15.
Afterwards, Seifer points his Gunblade at Cloud and fires. "Demon Shot." Seifer uses Demon Shot. A bullet scorched in flames fires at Cloud. If it hits it will do 25% damage with a 40% chance of burn. DC to dodge is 14.
Vivi grows incredibly worried and nearly panics. Everything in him tells him to cloak himself and try to escape, but he made a promise to the team that he would seal away Evil Vivi, and now a whole new battle was going on while the original fight with the current timeline's team raged on below with his evil twin. He decides to stay unless something or someone forces him to do otherwise.
"I'm sorry. I'm sorry! This is all my fault! All my fault! We have to end this battle quickly if we are to get the chest and stop Evil Vivi! I cannot help in this bout because I have to prepare the Chronos Cramia spell. I will do everything in my power to speed up the process my colleagues!" Vivi raises both his hands into the air as white magic envelopes his palms and he begins chanting under his breathe starting the process of the spell. If anything attacks him, the spell will surely suffer. Seifer notices this and sneers. "Your friends here can't stop us from getting to you. You better believe that! Don't worry, this won't take long. Then you're mine, wretch!" Seifer goes back to focusing on the fight at hand, getting into a defensive stance after the offensive.

((Vivi is preparing his spell. At any point in time Seifer and Squall can try and attack him during this fight. He has to be protected. If he is attacked even once he has to start the spell all over which will effect the time sensitivity of the mission and the fight Evil Vivi is currently in with the current timeline's team. Obviously the majority of you don't want to play ball....so....I'll spare anymore second guessing and get this rolling properly." Vivi grows incredibly worried and nearly panics.

If Vivi is attacked too much, the chest may vanish and the opportunity will be lost. The clock is ticking and Evil Vivi won't be distracted in battle forever.))
