Rolling Required? Y
Variant Rules: (Optional -- Please list any variations to our system rules you plan to use in enough detail that your players will know how they work)
- There will be a 1 week deadline between mod posts. Anyone who falls short of the deadline before my next mod post will be skipped and, in combat, your character is likely to be hit by all attacks coming their way. Failure to meet this deadline three times in a row will get you booted from the mission and your character may be subject to an embarrassing defeat, bringing much shame. If you know you will be incapable of meeting a deadline, let me know beforehand.
- This is an event mission, so it will not count towards your current mission count.
- Signup with as many characters as you like, and without worry of how many slots are taken. All Time Travel event missions will have their rosters carefully picked through so that every member will have at least one character involved in at least one mission.
Rank Required: None

"Alrighty Noobs. I've been instructed to brief you muffins about your mission and have been 'advised by my superiors to do it in an 'Informative and uninflammatory' way since apparently this has to do with my earlier work... Ah, to be a young, burgeoning Grand Officer; nothing to worry about but scoring the next box of donu--AHEM! Anyways, your mission is a bit different from all the other time-traveling wirly-doos they've got the other teams on. No, unfortunately, what you're after is one of the most dangerous, conniving, despicable, putrid pieces of garbage criminals the Life Sphere has ever seen and quite possibly ever will! The absolute scum of the earth: Shiya Kirigaya."
("...What? What do you mean he's not a criminal? Have you seen all the talk around the station and his--")
"...Well apparently, because HR doesn't chew my butt enough, I need to clarify that 'Shiya Kirigaya' is the 'victim' of an 'active missing person's case' and is 'suspected dead'." He used very heavy air-quotes. "But don't believe any of that malarkey. I was there in his heyday, and let me set you straight! He was a cold-blooded, barn-door banging, window-smashing piece of work!"
"Speaking of, that's exactly where you're headed... or when? Anyways, you're headed to the site of an incident a long LONG time ago with Mr. Shiya at the very center--the very same one where I earned my stripes! Huh? Why? Well apparently, while all of the other teams are helping gather the right components for the good doc' to craft a cure; even if they do finish it in time, at the rate this strain is propagating we'll be overrun before they can even begin producing it en-masse. Even more unfortunately... Shiya can help. NOW I KNOW THIS IS CRAZY TALK, BUT BEAR WITH ME--WE'RE DESPERATE! THEY'VE ALREADY TAKEN THE DOUGHNUT SHOP! OH THE TOADMANITY!"
"Ahem. Eh? Why not just find him today? Well fortunately--Oh sorry, 'unfortunately' he's been missing like I said for god knows how long. And all the investigations up to now have been able to determine is that he's nowhere in the Life Sphere and almost certainly dead... which became definitely dead as soon as this crisis happened. Besides, even if he was here, the punk's been depowered for who knows how long already--No, like or not we need to pick this pepperoni while he's still fresh... And what better time than right after he was busted by the law, fresh and ripe for cooperation!"
"So here's the situation--You'll be dropping in at some point during, what we at the station call, the 'Monado Madness' incident. The very same incident where I bravely took down that menace and earned my star medal! The timing's a bit imprecise on these things, so there's a chance we might overshoot it; Just in case, lay low until the dust's settled then snag him after the old team beats it. Oh also, apparently the good doctor might be able to reverse-engineer his copy ability if we get an unmodified sample of Shiya's work; so if the opportunity presents itself, be sure to grab one."
"Good luck citizens. The fate of the life sphere rests in your hands! IN AND OUT, NO MERCY, NO SURVIVORS, NO-What? Huh?"
("What? Oh come on, you're killing me here, Sir.")
"Grgurgen-frugen HR razzafrazza--Alright! Some mercy, 'safe retrieval'... THEN WE NAIL HIM! BADA BING, BADA BOOM. GOOD LUCK, IM GONNA EAT SOME DONUTS!"

Objective: Retrieve an empowered Shiya from the past.
Sub-Objective: Retrieve an unmodified replica Monado from the ruins of Zanza's Laboratory.
Mission Reward(s):
- Memefinity Gauntlet: A copyright safe, enormous golden gauntlet more suited to an ogre-sized hand than a regular person, but still manages to securely and snugly fit on any who wear it. An invention thought lost to time, created by the joint effort of the evil god Zanza's genius and the copy-mage Shiya's... memes. This impressive work of craftsmanship is at first glance no more than a hunk of metal that can buff any punch-based attacks by a mean 10% DMG when used. It's true power however lies in the empty slots situated at the gauntlet's knuckle joints. Upon the defeat of a meme-based enemy, this gauntlet can absorb its dank essence should it be deemed kek and not cringe, storing it within one of the six slots in crystallized form. For each meme stored within the gauntlet, its buffing power increases by 5%! Should all six slots be filled, the gauntlet gains the ability to execute an ultimate attack! With the snap of their fingers, the user can disperse all of the stored memes in a brilliant explosion--vibe checking everyone in the area besides themselves (including potential allies) and dealing damage equal to 1/2 of each victim's respective maximum HPs! Enemies killed by this effect will fade into plumes of ash and dust; perfectly balanced as all things should be... Of course doing so will reset the Memefinity Gauntlet back to square one, and have a nasty kickback of 25% recoil damage, so use wisely!
- Banana Gun
- Twin Blades
- Starman {Sub-Objective Reward}
