Variant Rules:
• There will be a 1 week deadline between mod posts. Anyone who falls short of the deadline before my next mod post will be skipped and, in combat, your character is likely to be hit by all attacks coming their way. Failure to meet this deadline three times in a row will get you booted from the mission and your character may be subject to an embarrassing defeat, bringing much shame. If you know you will be incapable of meeting a deadline, let me know beforehand.
• This is an event mission, so it will not count towards your current mission count.
• Signup with as many characters as you like, and without worry of how many slots are taken. All Time Travel event missions will have their rosters carefully picked through so that every member will have at least one character involved in at least one mission.

Mission Brief:
“Oh ho ho ho! You’ve made it just in time! Come my young pups, we have a special assignment for you! Remember back when the Life Sphere Leaders were captured by Black Shadow? Hm, might’ve been before your time! Regardless, that is where you’ll be dropping! Right smack dab in the middle of Black Shadow’s base, no pressure, its just filled with all manners of Starvia infected beasts. Nothing you haven’t seen before, I’m sure, but you might want to tiptoe your way through their base of operations. Now then, I’ll be handing you off to your lovely liaison for this mission, Miss Lusamine”
“A wonderfully hardy speech as always, professor.”
“Oh, you’re too kind, you young whippersnapper, you.”
“Indeed, as the professor stated, you’ll be going directly to the Essence Extraction Point, and by our calculations, you’ll wind up right outside of Black Shadow’s hidden base right before the um… What was it you called them?”
“Team Slithery Snake.”
“Right, yes, right before Team Slithery Snake snuck in with Captain Falcon’s stealth modified Blue Falcon. You’ll be following them in. One of their operatives, Shade, was unaccounted for during the majority of the mission, and we know he looted some of their stuff for his own personal gain. The base has secret stashes, he knows where they are, so follow him. He’ll lead you right to the Starvia sample we need.”
“Oh ho ho, we hired that boy because he was a master of stealth! Following him won’t be easy!”
“No, it won’t, it isn’t our only option, but it is our best option. But that’s also why you’ll have my assistant Steve here, accompanying you.”
“Sup.”
“His visor is equipped with several anti-stealth settings, infrared, night vision, heat signatures. He’s your eyes.”
“Ho ho! You have quite the exciting task ahead of you! Hope your stealth game is up to snuff!”
Objective: Retrieve the sample of the new strain of Starvia.
Sub-Objective: Keep up with Shade.
Mission Reward(s):
• The Love Ball: Acts as a regular Poke Ball, however, the Pokemon summoned will have a greater affection for the user, thus will be more willing to go above and beyond its normal mode of attack. What this means will depend on its regular effects. Its attacks could do twice the normal damage, its attack’s accuracy could increase by +5, its attack duration could last an extra 2 turns (if it has an attack duration), or it could heal double the damage that it normally could. It is the user’s option to pick which buff it gets. This item will break after its first use; however, the user can keep its heart shaped decal and apply it to any other Poke Ball they receive in the future. With a successful CHR check of 14 or higher, the user can apply the Love Ball buff to any Poke Ball, Master Ball, or Beast Ball they use.
