So I know I already made this a mission series but honestly this feel like it would work better as a site wide event so it could be cleared at a much faster rate. Because 100 floors full of traps, monsters and new mechanics will be very difficult for a single group to go through, even with multiple missions. So that's why I am changing it. In this event it will be 30 floors and three pathways up the World Tree and through the Forest of Pain. Like Absolution this will take place in three different threads at the start for those 30 floors, however unlike Absolution all three groups will meet at the top for a fourth thread for final battle.

As for how it would work it would be a simple draft following this example.
1. Mission Sub Objective for each 10 floors. This can be anything from performing a combo attack or three consecutive attacks on one foe to being able to heal a single target for a certain amount. The Sub Objectives are to make things more immersive in a way. It gives them more to do instead of just going through obstacles and fighting monsters. Be creative with these as much as you can. This of course means that there will be 3 sub objectives for each team that goes in for each thread. No Sub Objectives will be present in the Final Battle thread.
2. Traps and Obstacles for each floor. Most of the traps have to be low damaging or cause some kind of status effect for a temporary amount of time. The most common trap of the Forest of Pain is the Tree Scythes. They do 1% damage if they hit but they are constant threat that needs to be dodged once per non-combat post. The DC I put for them is 5 as they are rather slow but even if they do dodge these very slow pendulum scythes their are still many more traps to go through but I think it best not to make any thing too dangerous until higher floors. Never anything instant death though! I want this to be fair to the players too. So as for what stats are used for these traps and obstacles they won't always be DEX. Sometimes you will need to use your brain with INT checks for puzzles, STR like for moving things and of course CON checks for stuff like windy areas.

3. Surprises Events for each floor: Be it a hidden treasure trove, an unique monster encounter, or even a secret pathway leading to something different. These surprises can be anything and everything. That's why I hope that this makes each floor for each pathway unique and unlike the other floors in each part of the Event.
4. Monsters: Monsters are varied and will be best to make more challenging with each floor. Make them RPG like monsters, mostly goblins and other things but if you need a reference to some I'll be glad to provide. These monsters can be made from any fandom if the staff so wishes and can range from easy to hard. Mini-Bosses are also a possibility to be found amongst the different floors.
5. Hard Bosses. These Bosses are tough because they represent the milestone of completing 10 floors and on the very end of the 10th floor of that section is said boss. I made a list of bosses myself but the staff are free to make their own for this. Each one of them has to be challenging but fair to the players. With a total of 9 bosses leading up to the 10th at the final stage in the Final Battle thread this will be a bit of a challenge. Each pathway up the Forest of Pain is different so each boss will be a different one for each pathway thread. In total there are 3 bosses per pathway at each 10th floor of said pathway for 30 floors total. Once everyone makes it to the 30th floor boss and defeats it they will gain access to the top of the World Tree to meet up with everyone else for the Final Battle.
6. Rest Areas. After every boss there is of course a rest area that restores health, lowers cooldowns to 0 and so on. This rest area can be flavored to be anything really but I always tend to make it a wellspring of water. This rest area is directly after the boss in a chamber of which would technically be the treasure room in most RPGs. These rest areas however do not restore Final Smash usage and you would only get one for this whole thing, thus why I think it would be best to make this a site wide event.
7. Reward for Completion. This of course was planned to be 3 Power Stars with permission from staff. However if it's a Site Wide Event I imagine the staff can come up with something a lot better alongside those Power Stars. Much like the previous Site Wide Event where we fought Dharkon, the rewards would be many and varied. Depending on how this event goes I may be able to give other hidden surprises too, with staff approval.
8. Deadlines: It's a soft deadline of 2 weeks per post in each thread pathway. Deadline for the Final Battle area however will be 1 week as to not delay that part of the event too much. If you need an extension or a break from this please inform me or the staff of this and we will skip your turn but you will not take any hits from fights. it will be assumed you are hiding in the forestry until you come back. However those who do not inform me or the staff after the week comes to a close and there is no post from said user, the users turn will be skipped but they will take attacks intended for them as auto hits. So please be vigilant about this and I hope this all works out.
9. Plot Hook for the Forest of Pain: Haseo had been exploring around LI in his free time as he had become more adventurous as of late. He suddenly hears something calling to him, it's a familiar feeling like that with his Avatar, Skeith the Terror of Death. He pursues this 'calling' which leads him to the Teldrassil Enclave where he finds an all too familiar sight. It's the entrance to the Forest of Pain and it was on LI! This calling had to be the being that made the Forest of Pain, Harold.
Haseo knows that Harold in his world was just an event in a game but for some reason he knows that Harold has to be this thing that's calling him. What could it mean? Haseo intends to figure this out and puts together three teams to go into the Forest of Pain then meet together at the top to confront Harold. Perhaps Harold knows something they don't and that's why it was calling to Haseo. Whatever the case with Haseo's previous experiences in The World he is as determined as ever to find out.
10. Final Thoughts. I want everyone on board with this idea. This idea was originally intended to be a Site Wide Event but I made it into a mission series as it was going nowhere. However I worked up the courage to make this topic and I want all your thoughts on it. I know my writing isn't exactly on par with people like Wolf or Mr Game and Watch but I would really like it if the staff considered this as a potential event. I wouldn't expect to be able to run it just to be clear, but I would give pointers on how I was planning to run it if I wasn't left in charge of the event. I don't really plan on being in charge but if I must I will provide any help I can give to the staff should they wish to run this thing.
The Forest of Pain was a really hard challenge presented in the Dot Hack GU series of games but this is a revision of sorts where it consists of floors up a tree dungeon instead of blocks in a forest area with nothing interesting in it. I'll provide any resources and information I already have on the subject of course and if this is accepted as a Site Wide Event I'll need to cancel my mission series as it would collide with the event as it would be the same exact thing.
These are my final thoughts on the matter and I hope you like the idea.
