Chortles and Fury



Fawful was a bit dizzy from the spin attack. After shaking it off he noticed the free robot scrap just for him. Then he noticed everyone else was going ahead of him. He didn't want to be left behind especially in a place as dangerous as this when he has such perfect bullet sponges to protect him from harm. So he runs after them hoping to salvage those parts later. Where they find the cell holding the person they have come to save.

"So this is the doctor of Wilyness we have come to be saving? He doesn't appear to be matching his name." Fawful mused.

While Kalinka is hacking the device, Fawful was going to step in to do it for her before another guard comes in. Claiming they ate the face of Hard Man.

"Fawful has fury! I was to be picking up those robot parts myself later, but you have gone and do the wasting ofthem. For that, the coldness of my revenge shall be the banana split sundae of cruelty topped with the chocolate sauce of your destruction!" he claimed.

With that first, he fires an Energy blast from his Vacuum Helmet, then gets out his raygun and fires star like projectiles. Then turns the dial on it to fire another shot in an attempt to hit the upgraded Skull Man with a Freeze Ray.

Axl simply remained silent on the matter, preferring to just pick up any pieces of Hard Man that could be salvaged. "I'd show whoever made you a good chunk of my other abilities, but that would probably not be a good choice.
Besides, we have a mad scientist to save." He told Hard Man's head, a smile on his face as he followed the others, he didn't mind lagging behind a bit as it'd be safer to screw with a maverick and ensure their fate.

As for the appearance of Skull Man, Axl simply gave a chuckle.  "You could use some meat on those bones, pity I'm not a doctor, otherwise I would have prescribed eating till you stop looking like a starving ethiopian. Axl remarks, drawing out his Laser Pistols and opening fire.

"O-Oh, um..." Rock blushes at Kalinka's response to his worries, lightly scratching his neck as he chuckled a bit. Pharaoh Man's question snaps him out of the little flustered moment, however. "Well...to put it very simply, it's...a huge upgrade. Bit of a long story, though. I'll tell you guys more about it when we have the time. C'mon, let's go get Wily." he replied, rousing his teammates to follow him inside.

Not much longer after they got inside the base, Mega Man catches the voice of Wily echoing through the place, cursing his creations for turning on him. Huh, so...he really was betrayed? As they approached the source of the voice, Rock came across the sight of Dr. Wily, imprisoned in a cell with an energy barrier.

"Wily!" Mega Man called, approaching the mad doctor. "I've got a couple of questions I want to ask you...but first, let's get you out of here." And they had to do it fast too, because someone was pouring Starvia on the cell he was in. Even if Wily was the cause of so much pain and suffering, even he didn't deserve such a cruel fate... "Good idea, Kalinka. I don't think my weapons can breach the barrier...I'm counting on y--"

"!!" A projectile came straight for the blue bomber, with the Reploid deftly dodging the attack. Turning around to meet the source, he was met with... "Skull Man?!" Mega Man asked incredulously. Why were Dr. Cossack's Robot Masters in on this too...? ---And he ate Hard Man's head?!
...Mega clenches his fist before engaging in conversation with Skull Man.

"I'd ask why are you doing this, and who's your leader..." Rock began...before pointing his Mega Buster at Skull Man, the telltale sound of a charging buster humming through the air. "But you're not going to give me the answers, are you?" he said, his tone growing slightly colder than before. Not even a second later, he fires.

Not giving Skull Man a moment to retaliate, Mega Man quickly loaded the upgraded Hard Man's weapon data, readying the other Mega Buster with the Reinforced Hard Knuckle before shooting it towards the maybe-upgraded Skull Man.

Afterwards, Mega loaded Charge Man's weapon data once more, before attempting to strike Skull Man with a super-powered drop kick to the Robot Master!

"Well, Im not gonna give you the answer if you ask me like that, Rock. Seriously, So rude." Skull Man would chastize Megaman's, Only to have Fawful come from the side to try and attack him! "Heeey, I dont waste nothing!" Skull Man defended. "Want not Waste not." He would say, Before performing a dramatic side-lean to avoid the Energy blast. Skullman was then struck in his helmet by the ray Gun, Making him stumble back, Before quickly leaning forward, His Knees bending backwards to cause him to stumble forward and avoiding the Freeze ray, as he stood back up with an Unsettling CR-CRACK!

Then, An Array of attacks from Axl made there hits, Two massive billows of Smoke coming from the Attacks Axl dealth, as Skull man stepped through the Smoke, Approaching Megaman-- And more importantly, Kalinka. "Oh, Look at that. He's Vanishing. That's gonna be a pain in the neck...But not as much as the one im gon--." Skull man would say! However, Megaman's attacks landed perfectly against Skullman, Each attack landing and cracking that bone armor of his, as Skullman was sent hurtling back into the SMoggy cloud that  Axl's attacks had made due to Megaman's Dropkick, Mega able to feel the crack in Skullman's Ribs from  that, as he flew with a "LET ME FINISH TALKIIIIIIIING!!"


There was Silence, Before suddenly...Scuttling? A Loud Scuttling comes, as Suddenly, Skullman, Crawling on the Cieling Exorcist style scuttled far past Fawful,  Mega, and wherever Axl was, Suddenly Dismounting and landing behind Kalinka. "Told Ya'!" Skullman would declare, Before brandishing two Fingers, and attempting to jam them directly into Kalinka's Throat!

"RIB CRACKER!" Skullman would call out his attack, as suddenly he coils into himself, before exposing his Chest, as each of his Rib Armor Plates, Exposing Sixteen Various Shotgun Busters, Which all would begin rapid-fire blasting down the hallway at the entire group!

Following this, Skullman raises his arm. A set of Four Glowing Skulls surround him!

"Such unfairness! You are not supposed to be having the nimbleness to be able to dodge my attacks with the easiness!" Fawful complained.

And as Fawful watched him scuttle across the ceiling like a creepy crawler. He noticed he was going for the girl that he thought was annoying. He barely knew her so he didn't bother trying to rescue her so instead he began to prep for his next attack. Though he then witnesses the bony bot unleash a barrage of attacks. Fawful tries to deftly dodge on his hoverpad in response.

 And while Fawful was doing well at first dodging the rapid fire shotgun blasts. He managed to take two clean hits knocking him off of his hoverpad. He rolls along the floor as he is covered in soot from the impact of the shotgun blast. He picks himself up and dusts himself off.

"Finkrat! Words cannot express how much Fury I am having towards your stupid face! If I were to be counting every atom in my body that would not be enough to measure how much I am the hating you! I HAVE FURY!" Fawful yells out.

 And with that Fawful does his own "spray and pray" as the head of his Vacuum Helmet shoots a rapid fire shot of three energy spheres towards Skull Man in hopes of the very least getting rid of those floating skulls.

At least he managed to evade almost all of the hits, though he still remained invisible.  "Is that the best you can do, because I've never seen such abysmal shooting since Vile Mk. VI...  In fact, you look like something Dark Mantis killed and repurposed." Axl snarked, before opening fire with with rounds meant to paralyze in a combo.

Mega, on a brief moment where he had to stop the Power Gear in order to avoid any problems, noticed Skull Man going for Kalinka. He tried to move to help her, but by that moment, Axl had already swooped in and saved her. Well, at least he didn't have to worry about that for the moment. "Nice one, Axl!" he said, thankful for him coming to the resuce when he couldn't, before focusing back on the opponent at hand.

"Agh--Don't give me that! Even if I asked nicely, you wouldn't answer anyway!" Mega said, in between his failed attempts at dodging Skull Man's Rib Cracker. He managed to get away from a single wave, but he got pelted with shots most of the time. The blue bomber stood strong, gritting his teeth as he prepared his Mega Buster once more. He then decided to reply with a volley of buster shots of his own.

After the buster shot volley, Mega began charging up plasma energy before firing up another Charge Shot at Skull Man. Not wasting any other moment, Rock followed up with quick-loading Charge Man's weapon data again, before attempting to slam his metal foot onto Skull Man's ribcage with another Charge Kick.

Skullman was hit by Three of Axl's Elemental Bullets, But seemed to shrug off any adverse effects from them. "Such abysmal shoot-- I hit you, You Dweeb?!" Skullman replied to Axl's baffling taunt, Rolling his eyes as he readied another attack-- Only for a Mega Buster bullet to hit the side of his head, followed by another! Skullman turned to look at Megaman--, Which only gave him perfect opportunity to get that Charge Shot directly to his face with a 'GH-OOF", As he flew back into a wall, To take a hit right into his Ribcage, Shattering it! 

"G-gyaaaahhh!!! Do you have any idea how easy it is to attack you now?! ...Boop!"

However, Despite the Luck that Mega Had landing the Hit, Skullman's Ribcage, In its Shards, Would glow a bright blue and reform and regenerate, Only to suddenly charge up, A Blast forth a massive Skull of Bright Blue Fire at Megaman!

"Thanks to my Reploid Upgrade-- My Powers over the Horrors of Hell and the Undead are much stronger than they once were. But hey, If its any Consoltation... That Hurt Like Hell!" Skullman would let out a shrill "KYAHAHAHAHAHA!!!" In Laughter, Before slamming his arm against the Wall, as a Trail of Bright Blue fire traveled up it. And, In one sudden moment...

CRASH!

Head Replaced with a Flaming Blue Skull, Hardman's Body suddenly crashes in, and immediately makes way to Fawful, Pulling an Incredibly crazy Football Charge Maneuver to try and grab hold of him and Slam him into a wall! Should Hardman Succeed, The Metal Monster would suddenly reel its flaming head back, and start Rapidly Headbutting Fawful over and over!

(Fawful! DEX Check of 12 is Needed, Otherwise, You will be Grappled with a STR Check of 16,  Take a Premptive 12% Damage, And take 8% Damage per turn for the Headbutting!)


"BEEP BEEP!" Skullman would call out toward Kalinka, Suddenly charging for her again, Jumping an Impressive Flip Move-- Only to suddenly get Punched in the Face by Pharoh Man! "Guh! Heeey, No fair, I wanna eat her face too!"


"Yeah, Not gonna happen." Pharohman would say, Getting into battle stance, as Kalinka continued her work. Wily, Thankfully unable to properly bark orders, due to being bathed in Starvia, Making him Cough and Hack. Skullman would roll his eyes, Summoning forth another Two Floating Skullbarrier Skulls!

Fawful was visibly insulted from what Skullman said as his brow furrowed and his glasses contorted to look like angry eyes.

"That is Fawful's catchphrase! You can not be the stealing of it!" he shouted.

Though his anger subsided for a bit upon seeing the four flaming skulls heading his way. As he tries to dodge them all with the help of his Vacuum Helmet.

And while Fawful managed to gracefully dodge three of the pesky skulls. One managed to land a hit and burned his beautiful and red and gold-rimmed robes. He looked saddened at first to see his precious clothes ruined. Before it is replaced with rage once more as a vein can be seen on his forehead. Though before he is able to start fighting back he hears some lumbering giant coming towards him as he turns to see the Headless Hardman charging towards him. As he tries to fly up in time with his Vacuum Helmet.

Unfortunately, the Headless Hardman turned out to be faster than he looked as he manages to slam into Fawful and is grabbing his small body like a squeaky stress toy as he tries to wriggle out and escape.

And it is all in vain as Fawful is unable to get out of the powerful robot's grip, as his head slammed by a flaming skull.

"Fawful is not having the enjoyment from this anymore!" he strained himself to say while being squeezed tight.

Luckily his helmet was still working and it pointed its head toward Skull Man before shooting three more projectiles towards them.

Axl would give a silent chuckle at Skull Man's retort.  "Nice comeback, you wanna know who is a better example of hell?  Sigma in his 8th incarnation." Axl snarked before unloading a barrage of Axl Bullets at Skull Man.

Mega Man encased himself in a bubble shield as Skull Man's projectile went for him, the azure shield absorbing the hit. Mega dismissed the shield soon after, and-- what the actual hey just happened. Did Skull Man just--

"OK, you know what? That's morbid and freaky. So...congrats on that." Mega Man reluctantly said...before drawing his Mega Buster again. "And that's all the compliments I'm gonna give you!" he said, before firing another volley of shots at Skull Man.

"You're not gonna be eating any more faces today, Skull Man!" Mega Man said, deciding on that name for the unholy combo that was presented to him. Why did he want to do that to Kalinka anyway? You'd think that being built by Dr. Cossack, he'd at least show a bit of reluctance against targeting the man's daughter, especially after being upgraded... "Haah!" Mega cried out as he fired another Charge Shot.

"Here goes!" Mega Man said to himself as he loaded Hard Man's data once again. He needed to deal with Skull Man quickly, and thankfully the Reploid before him loaned a very good weapon. "Get them, Hard Knuckle!" he said, throwing a rocket-powered, huge blue fist at the skelly Reploid!

Skull Man twisted his body in disturbing ways to avoid Bullets from Axl and Fawful, Hit by two of his energy blasts and a bound blaster before looking up, And being greeted by Megaman's Charge Shot knocking him aside, followed by -- "IS THAT A FREAKIN' ROCKET PUNCH-- BLAH?!" Skullman yelled out, Getting blasted back and landing on the ground after getting a face of hard man fist, As Skullman landed in a Exorcist Crab Walk style, Before lifting himself up and staring back at them. "That's it! Hard man! ...Keep Smashing his Noggin!"

And like that, The Undead Hardman smiles in agreement, Before reeling it's head back and Slamming it's head into Fawful!

Following that, Skullman would chase down for Megaman, Leaping after him and suddenly stopping between him and Axl, Reeling his body back, and suddenly flexing back outward, As his body suddenly shoots out a Barrage of Kitchen Knives, Chainsaws, Chains, Machete's, Clawed Fingers and other such Horror Weaponry from his body, Trying to Cleave and Tear on them both!

((Megaman & Axl! Roll a DEX Check of 14, Or else, Take 17% Damage, and be afflicted by Mortal Wound!)


Following this, Skullman would turn back around, and Fire off another Gigantic Skull Blast at Kalinka! "I SAID STOP TAPPING THAT DOOR!" Skullman Demanded, Firing off the Skull Blast at her! Pharoh Man leaps forward, Creating a Pharoh Shield to block the attack which sends him back, which, Prompts Skullman to fire off a second shot at Kalinka!

(Megaman, Axl, or Fawful [If you escape Grapple]!, Roll an 12 to Pull Kalinka away from the Shot! Or, Alternatively, Roll a 4 to Jump in the way, and take the hit, for 27% Damage!)

  Fawful has his head bonked by Hardman's skull once more. Although technically the skull is something Skullman summoned and put on Hard Man's headless body. Fawful is too busy being terrified and hurt to care about little details like that. As he tries to squirm his way out of the Hard Man's grasp once more. Hopefully, his small body could aid him in his efforts.

  And it seems he somehow managed to do worse than earlier as barely even was able to move. In times like this, he wished he still had Midbus around to be his muscle. This is the type of thing he didn't want to get into during the whole Blorbs Epidemic. However, his Vacuum Helmet gets off of his head. And sprays Fawful with some kind of strange purple mist to heal his wounds.

  As the mist manages to heal the wounds from the last headbutt but he's still looking a bit bruised. The Vacuum Helmet then fires another Energy Blast at Skull Man, as well its own star beam attack similar to the one Fawful shoots from his Raygun.

Axl said, clearly grinning with a sadistic smirk that he never really shown when he worked with the Maverick Hunters after defecting from Red Alert...  A look that told Skull Man that he was in very deep trouble, and would be exemplified by Axl delivering a Bound Blaster shot...  One that would punch right through an eye if one was not careful!

That was not all, as Axl would unleash another Bound Blaster shot...  Only he would shoot right into Skull Man's eye to attempt to destroy it

As Skull Man tried to attack Kalinka once again, though Axl jumped in the way of the attack, taking it instead. "Hey, no need to keep risking your life and limbs by yourself. Let me pick up the slack sometime." Mega said, sounding worried about the new gen Reploid's almost careless .

"As for you...how about we put you to rest for real?" he asked Skull Man. "Here's a present for you! One more...Hard Knuckle!" Mega said, firing yet another giant fist at Skull Man.
