Nobody
♎︎✈︎⬥︎🗐︎⬥︎🖲︎🕈︎♑︎✠︎♍︎✈︎/Original Character
Alignment: Chaotic Evil
Motto: "Not even nobody will remember you."
Allies/Friends:
Enemies/Rivals:
Backstory: Not much is known about Nobody, or at least not many where he's from are able to find out and live to regret it. An S-class assassin and mercenary that seemed to pop into existence overnight, the criminal underworld could only ascertain 2 things about the young man: If you recognized him, run. If he recognized you, it's already too late. It didn't take long for Nobody to garner explosive acclaim in the criminal underworld, especially when his unorthodox techniques left quite the word-of-mouth impression. While the man's true name is a mystery, his methods earned another moniker outside of the boogeyman-one lowlifes took to calling him: Mugen Rider Culturgen. Because as average and unassuming the assassin might look by himself, Nobody utilized a unique experimental device (rumored to have been stolen from the US military) that when worn like a belt envelops his entire body in a super-powered armor suit that manipulates dimensional energies. Heralded by the sound of his revving motorcycle, the already dangerous "merc" becomes an unstoppable force of certain doom to anyone unfortunate enough to be on his radar.
When not on the job though, Nobody can be a pretty swell fella! He always has an aura of nonchalance and lack of seriousness that often lead to people not taking him seriously... typically at their own expense. Despite their friendly one-liners though, at the end of the day, this person is the kind of man you don't want against you but don't want on your side. When hearing the saying "Some people just want to watch the world burn," it's easy to think that nobody is that evil...
Exactly.
Appearance:
History On Li: Unlimited power, the strength of gods literally at his fingertips and where did Nobody find himself? Bodyguard detail on a thug robbing a bank. Jobs like this were so beneath him: Stand around and look intimidating so the guy hiring him gets more clout, snap the necks of any guards or officers unluckily enough to stumble upon the crime in question, maybe flash his Culturgen armor if he's feeling saucy, but other than that it was as boring as it gets. [Maybe I should shoot one of the clients in the foot; just to see what happens?] He mentally mused while absentmindedly dispatching the bank security guard, sending the poor sucker flying into the wall with a nonchalant roundhouse kick. "...Yaaaaaawn." Nobody vocalized. Just when he was considering doing just that though, something.... "strange" happened.
The world seemed to melt around him, growing blurred and out of focus. The Rider's first assumption was that he'd been drugged via some poisonous dart or maybe knockout gas, but that wasn't quite right either. Sure he'd been lazy and sloppy but he wasn't that lazy and sloppy. Just as soon as the reality bungling effect had started though, it ceased... and left Nobody in the most peculiar of locations. He was no longer standing in a fortified bank vault surrounded by two-bit thugs, but on a snowy mountaintop! …Okay, maybe drugs was a valid theory. Once again though it wouldn't be for long. The beautiful scenery besides himself wasn't totally "scenic," as something along the lines of a battle was waging not even 20 meters away. Curiosity getting the better of him, of course the Merc headed off to investigate the skirmish himself--coming upon the strange scene of a talking mushroom creature (weird-right?) fighting back a wide array of strange creatures and monsters all oozing the same purple miasma.
The good Samaritan that he was, Nobody of course transformed and quickly helped the small mushroom-headed one defend himself. Doing so proved very rewarding not long after when the creature (who oddly enough identified itself as an officer of the law) gave him the "Low down" on his situation. He was stranded on a whole new world constantly at the brink of destruction in the face of a deadly zombifying virus, where all stable life was confined to a single domed city? Talk about threatening him with a good time! The toad offered him a ride back to what it called the "Life Sphere," directing Nobody towards an old duster of a dinged up car in its possession. The creature tried telling him that it belonged to a missing person he was following up a lead on, but the merc didn't bother to listen; hopping into the driver's seat himself before grabbing the mushroom freak by the vest and tossing him out the window to the quickly recovering hoard of infected.
He ignored the resulting screams and pleas for help, choosing to instead drive off. Nobody bumped up the radio's volume, put on some tunes, and kicked back while he drove over to the domed city of the Life Sphere. "♫ I'm on the hiiiiiiiighwaaaaaay to hell! ♫"
Primary Attacks (3)
Chekhovgirade: Nobody's trusty sword that he can draw upon in combat even when untransformed. In it's blade mode he can attack with an energy-charged slash. Every turn that it isn't in use however, his weapon absorbs surrounding dimensional energy, permanently increasing the damage of this attack by 1% for every turn it isn't used. (DMG Caps at 30%) [Light STR Attack; DMG 5%]
Chekhovzyu: With the flick of his switch, Nobody can transform his sword into its blaster form to fire a concussive burst of dimensional energy at an enemy. While admittedly not a powerful weapon, it constantly absorbs ambient dimensional energy, permanently increasing the potency of its stunning effect by 2% for every turn it isn't used. [Medium DEX Attack; DMG 15%, 5% inflict Stun]
Filibuster: Nobody's silver tongue and penchant for distracting quips extends even beyond the dimensional barrier. By uttering a disruptive jab at one of his enemies, the mercenary can bore his words into the mind of an enemy in an attempt to disrupt their focus from the inside of their mind! Each verbal lash has a 40% chance of deteriorating its target's mind to the point of which it begins affecting their physical and mental performance! Targets INT. [Heavy CHA Attack vs. INT; DMG 22%; 40% inflict Mind-Melted; 2 turn cooldown]
Special Attacks (3)
"Henshin!": Striking a pose, Nobody inputs the activation code into the pink cellular device, the "Dimension Driver," before placing it just over the front of his waist. This action spawns a leather strap from the driver's side to attach to Nobody's frame before expanding out and when accompanied with the proper command word, enveloping the him in an array of flashing dimensional glyphs. The result: Nobody can take on the super-powered form of the armored warrior -- Mugen Rider Culturgen! In this state, Nobody's stats garner an intense buff, increasing his strength, dexterity, and constitution by +4 stat pts. The upgrades don't come without cost, however. The dimensional energies constantly compressing and expanding around him to maintain the form leaves extreme strain on the Rider's body. While transformed, all damage that does manage to hit Culturgen is effectively doubled, and to top it all off, hitting 0 HP in this form results in a permanent death. No trophies, no getting knocked unconscious, it's the end of the road. [+4 STR/DEX/CON stat buff; x2 damage received; perma-death enabled]
Mandela Aura: (Only Usable When "Henshin!" is active) The collective unconscious leads to many misunderstandings among the masses, and Culturgen can manipulate this concept into a weapon for their wielding. When activated, the Mandela Aura can act as a confused magnet, intercepting in-progress attacks and causing all status ailments, buffs, and debuffs (inflicted during the aura's duration) to have a 50% chance to miscast onto Culturgen instead! This magnetic aura of misunderstanding lasts for 2 turns, but once engaged cannot be disengaged any earlier. [All parties' status-ailments, buffs, and debuffs when cast have a 50% chance to be cast on Culturgen; 2 turn duration; 3 turn cooldown]
ϕ-Charge: (Only Usable When "Henshin!" is active) By activating the Phi glyph on his Dimensiondriver, Culturgen's armor casts a crimson aura. By disengaging all of its shielding systems, the armor absorbs and converts the kinetic energy from any and all damage the user is subjected to into stored potential energy for a maximum of 3 turns. Upon subsequent activation of the glyph for a second time, Culturgen can momentarily exceed the armor's normal power capabilities and charge all of the aforementioned energy store into a single, explosive blow that can bypass the damage cap (>32%)! [1st Use: Stores damage (for a max of 3 turns), disables user's bubble-shield | 2nd Use: DEX; Atk StoredDMG%; 3 turn cooldown]
Final Smash (1)
Loss Impact: (Only Usable When "Henshin!" is active) Mugen Rider Culturgen's final attack. By activating all of his glyphs simultaneously, his armor channels the conceptual force of loss to hyperfocus all of his might on a single foe. After overcharging the armor with dimensional energy, the armored merc can leap into the air as white spectral lines form a sagittal box around him. A pulse of bright white light comes in 3 more steps: with the first he disappears and reappears above his opponent, the 2nd once again displaces Culturgen in space to now be parallel, and the 3rd and final flash preludes the image of Culturgen barreling into the foe with an explosive, flying side kick! [DMG 60%]
Other Info:
- Nobody isn't sure how old he is exactly, but he reckons it's somewhere around the early-to-mid 20's age range.
- A good portion of Nobody's moveset can only be utilized while he's in the transformed state of Mugen Rider Culturgen. An additional, unfortunate weakness of that: If his Dimensiondriver were to be damaged or stolen before he could transform, it would leave him in quite the precarious pickle.
