Haseo had made it once again to the Forest of Pain. He knew the risks of course now more than ever since this place was on LI and was a version of the Forest of Pain that was unknown to him. It extended to the top of the Great Tree of Yggdrasil and instead of 100 sections it was 100 floors in a natural made dungeon that was crawling with traps, monsters and even other things that may await them.
"Well here's hoping that things go just as well as the last two times I did this."
Haseo would say in a concerned tone.
Waiting on the others as he had arrived at Floor 1 of the dungeon he noticed a sign just outside the floor.

Forest of Pain Sub Objective 1: 
(Perform a combination attack or land 3 attacks on one enemy in a row.)

The sign would say as he looked at it. 
Haseo was currently in his base form and ready to get moving. 

((Here I will mention the most important variant rule once more.

This mission allows for the use of another use of the users Final Smash. Meaning there will be 2 uses in total. Each mission of this kind allows for this in the series. If someone has multiple forms with different Final Smashes they may use 2 of them and are not required to use just the same one.

Additionally the character Axl gets something for this mission exclusively for him. This is a temporary Final Smash so he can use this Variant rule to its fullest and keep up with the others. This final smash is usable in all forms Axl has.

Limiter Release:

Upon activating this Final Smash Axl immediately returns all ability cooldowns back to 0. Additionally all of his stats increase by +2 Modifier and his damage output is increased by 5% for a duration of 3 turns.

Use this Temporary Final Smash wisely Axl and as for everyone else I hope you have fun with this mission!))

[Sunnivale]

A bell would ring nearby the forest entrance as a figure on a bicycle would ride towards the entrance of the Forest of Pain. She would run over multiple bugs and plants as she made it to the area, but she didn't seem to care as Madotsuki was only focused on completing the first twenty floors of the forest as it said on the board.

She at first, didn't want to sign up for the mission, but seeing as how she had nothing else to do in both Li and in the dream world, she might as well do a mission to keep her busy. As well as get some exercise during the Forest of Pain. She would see one of the people that she would be helping with during the mission and once she got closer to Haseo, she would jump off her bike and send herself flying through the air.

While her expression was still the same, bored.

She would preform a flip while standing still before landing behind Haseo, still looking the same as before and she didn't say anything, because she didn't have anything to say, other then a greeting, but she wasn't going to greet anyone as she wanted to get the mission started as soon as she can.

Her bike also vanished when she was thrown through the air.

Link would hop from tree to tree, eventually he would notice a girl below him riding a bike through the very same forest as she passed into his vision from below. They seemed to be headed the same spot. One of his teammates then? 

He would hop down out of the tree just after Madotsuki did, he would then look to Haseo and raise an eyebrow with a nod to him and give a cheerful noise. He would turn to Madotsuki and give her a curious look but then a small smile. He'd then go find a log to sit on and begin to softly play on his Ocarina; just for practice. Eventually he began to play a song called Nocturne of Shadow as they'd all wait together. 

Eventually he'd finish the song and look up to the dungeon getting excited. His eyes would sparkle metaphorically as he could barely hold himself back from running in alone. 

Stretching a few times; Link would stand at the front waiting for everyone else to be ready. 

[Rom & Ram]

"Wow, that is a really big tree..." Rom notes in awe as she looks up at the massive tree with Ram traveling alongside her. They could probably get here faster if they flew but best not to waste the share energy for that. Ram wanted to ninja her way here but she knew Rom wouldn't be able to keep up if she did that. They kept their... giant pencils with Dogoo Erasers prepared as they stepped up to the entrance with the others.

"Rom and Ram, the Goddesses of Lowee have joined the party~!" Ram greeted with a pose. Getting their name out was good for them after all since the more that believe in their existence the better.

"Hello... Let's do our best..." Rom added from behind her pink sister in a quiet manner. She got what her sister was going for but it still troubled her.

"Yeah, you better not slow me and Rom down, got it~?" she adds in a playful manner to the three that got here before them.

As if on cue; a Reploid came down and landed squarely behind Haseo. "Looks like we're almost all here, I'm ready to begin this thing." Axl said as he drew out one of his Laser Pistols to show he was prepared to make his Trigger Finger itch.

"hmm. Oh my, seems like I've arrived fashionably late." a soft-spoken voice rang out. The forest's natural sounds were disturbed by the sounds of the humming of the woman walking towards the group. "I've heard you're my teammates on this vermin extermination affair. And...my, what a group~" Yuuka noted, looking between them. "A pair of humans, a pair of goddesses, a robot... well, I guess it doesn't really matter, as long as you're strong." The woman noted with a busy expression, eyes already looking to the forest above.

Finally, she would continue. "Oh. Yuuka. Yuuka Kazami. A pleasure to meet you all." The youkai added with a smile that just barely showed pointed teeth, before furling her parasol. "Forgive my manners - may I ask your names, as well?"

As the view of the forest dungeon overlooked the view of the giant tree known as Yggdrasil the adventurers would soon see that the entrance had seem to be beckoning them all inside. It's mysteries waiting to be unfolded.

Seems like everyone had arrived now, good. A short introduction couldn't hurt much could it? Haseo looked over to everyone who had arrived, some of them kids and some of them not. Haseo felt a little worried about the kids himself but if they knew what they were getting into he wasn't going to stop them.

"That's everyone? I'm Haseo, I'll be leading this mission. We should make sure we introduce ourselves first before going into the dungeon I think. Best we know each-other a little bit at least before we jump in." Haseo looks over to the kids again with a cautious stare before speaking again.

"I'm Haseo, an adept rogue. Basically I have different forms and abilities that can help in different situations. I've had experience with The Forest of Pain back in my home world. I have conquered it twice but this version is much much different. Either way we work as a team got it? No going off on your own from here on out, sound good?" He would ask before waiting on the others to introduce themselves.

Madotsuki watched as more people arrived for the mission, like a robot guy, some boy with an ocarina, some rich creepy girl with sharp teeth that Madotsuki was already taken a liken too because it looks like she might have a devil may care personailty, and by the way that they were acting, two annoying yet powerful brats. Oh yeah, and Haseo, the guy who was going to lead the mission as he introduced himself to the group.

As did the girl, named Yuuka Kazami, the two wanted to know everyone else's names as well. So Madotsuki at least should be polite and introduce herself and what she does for a living.

"I better say something simple and nothing creepy. Probably something like, I'm Madotsuki and I'm friend the Life Sphere." She suggested, before finally introducing herself to the group.

"My name's Madotsuki. I'm a hikkomori, which means when I'm not doing missions and have to attend SCHOOL, I stay locked up in my apartment all day playing video games and avoid people contact and whenever I get messages I just look at them and change my status to away, before falling asleep at unusual times and then try to salvage my hunger. But no matter what I do, I'll still be hungry in the end.

When I'm sleeping, I often go to the dream world and see some weird stuff. Like floating eyeballs, strange monsters, psychopaths, aliens, all that messed up stuff that really questions your reality. But as someone that's gotten used to that, I don't really care that much...

Oh yeah, I can also change my appearance to fit whatever painful stuff we're about to go in." She finished introducing herself...

Wait, that wasn't a short introduction...

Wait, she wasn't supposed to go into detail about her life like that!

She then turned towards Rom and Ram when Haseo said that nobody should split up when they go into the Forest of Pain. "Yes, if we don't act like idiots we'll get out of here alive. I'm ready." She said as she prepared for the mission.

Link merely stood at the front of the group, ignoring everyone with his eyes on the dungeon. 

Seems similar to the Forest Temple....I wonder if there's going to be any climbing like in that vine covered old place..... he looked adorable as he was deep in thought with a hand on his chin. When everyone started talking again, he noticed another person had arrived so he turned around and walked back to the group. 

Looking around as everyone introduced themselves, he thought that the Ram girl was pretty cool, she seemed like someone he'd hang out with. When the girl who'd rode up on a bike began talking; at first Link listened with a 'nod nod', but then she kept on going...and going. 

Before long she was talking about her dream sequences and Link was super interested, standing near her he would give a "Mhm...Mhm..." as he listened to every detail; no stranger to weird dreams or dimensions himself. Heck, sounded like one of his own adventures went on in her head. He would give her a hefty PAT on the back with a smile hands on his hips. 

It was his turn to introduce himself; clearing his throat he would step in the middle of the group and close his eyes. Unsheathing his sword he would pull it back and then point it to the sky with a mighty. "Hyaaaaaaah, Seeeeyuaaah!!!!" he would let it sparkle in the light as the wind would blow comically at the perfect moment of silence. Yes, that should suffice. He wasn't asked a question, therfore he didn't have to talk in his mind. It was a waste of energy anyways. 

Putting his sword away he would merely look over at the girl with green hair; something was off about her. Link had encountered many hidden dangers during his path. He would narrow his eyes briefly at her and then shrug with a smile. 

Stretching, he would point toward the entrance of the dungeon as he would look at Haseo. 

"HYA!" he said pointing with authority now and a serious expression as he pointed at the entrance again. Link would jump up and down once and tap his boots on the ground. Ready to run in at any moment if they took too long. 

[Maverick Hunter Zero]

"The name's Axl, I'm a Maverick Hunter by profession, and can turn into anyone I so choose so long as I have the DNA data for said target." Axl would say as an introduction, nodding to Haseo and the others, and withdrawing his Laser Pistols for the purpose of fighting against the enemies he might encounter in the dungeon.

"Who knows, you might see me in action if I choose to fight in the Sunshine Stadium." Axl added as he looked to the entrance, he didn't know what was in store for him, but just knowing that there was something that can be beneficial to him was enough to invoke his excitement; and if there was a Maverick in the area, he wouldn't hesitate to bring the pain.

Yuuka listened politely to the group, though in Madotsuki's case it was easy to say that she had hardly grasped half of it. For a being of magic and imagination, many of these words and situations were simply ones she had never encountered, and her own attention span began to falter.

Nonetheless, she listened to all of them with interest, particularly Axl's statement on copying others, as well as his interest in the arena.

"So you frequent the arena, then? I wouldn't mind joining you on one of those excursions in the future. It would be nice to find out which of us is stronger."

With that Yuuka's smile turned deadly. "As for me, I am a yokai of plantlife. More importantly, I am quite strong. I've no issue crushing opponents to dust, which I imagine shall be quite useful in this little game. Does that explain simply enough?" The woman asked.

[Rom & Ram]

"... Sounds scary..." Rom and Ram mostly just try to process the long winded introduction that Madotsuki gave... They don't really get it... The green hatted one was much simple to understand. Plant Yokai... did not exactly sound impressive but hey, as long as she's strong. "Transforming is really common here, huh? Well, like I said, Rom and I are Goddesses! We gain power from those that believe in us and can use that to transform into our Goddess States and get even stronger! Rom is good at hindering our foes with magic while I have the force to take them out~!" Ram declared proudly. "On top of that we can go on the frontlines too when I become a master of the deceptive arts, a ninja~!" She adds, striking a pose.

"... Oh and I can become a Samurai so I can show my sword skills to hopefully get their attention..." Rom adds quietly. "Now if that's over let's get going already! The more time we waste here the less time we spend beating up monsters and busting traps!" Ram finishes as she grabs Rom's hand and practically drags her along.

With introductions out of the way, well for the most part, they could go on their way into the Forest of Pain. It did seem a little annoying the kid in green didn't tell him his name, so until he did Haseo would just give him a temporary name. Naming him after someone else who wielded a sword and wore green. This person being a close friend of his who he met in The World who went by the name of Silabus. "Okay green clad kid I'll just call you Silabus for now, sound good?" Haseo asked Link. 

As he would prepare to enter the Forest of Pain, Haseo would lead the pack into the entrance of the area. An all too familiar sight of swinging blades came into view of their leader Haseo. These blades swinging from the tops of the trees moved back and forth as the sight of the ongoing forest seemed to go on for what seemed like miles. Looking back to the team he would notice that everyone was still following him for the moment. Turning back toward the obstacle of the Tree Scythes Haseo would also take notice of the sign placed ever so precariously in front of Floor 1.

'Perform a combination attack or land 3 attacks on one enemy in a row' the sign read.

"This must be for the Sub-Objective. Not really needed to do these but we should at least attempt them and see how it goes." Haseo said before moving to dodge the Tree Scythes going in. "Careful guys this place can be tricky." Haseo warned them.

The Tree Scythes are a constant trap that will be something you need to attempt to dodge every non combat post. Meaning if you are in combat they will not be an issue. They constantly swing back and forth but you only need to dodge them once per non-combat post. The DC to dodge them is 5 and they only do 1% damage if they do hit you. Next you should know about the other mechanic here in the Forest of Pain, Steam Doors.





Steam Doors are how you get past each floor as their will be creatures you need to kick in order to collect their Chim Spheres called Chim Chims. The Chim Spheres power the Steam Doors and you will have a small meter of how many Chim you can collect at a time. Currently you can have up to 100 Chim but that number will get bigger as you progress through each area by 10, but that also means you will need more with each Steam Door. To collect Chim you may use an action to roll a 1d20+WIS roll to attempt to find Chim Chims and the DC is 10 to find one. Each Chim Chim yields exactly 10 Chim Spheres.

Upon Rolling a Nat 20 you will summon a King Chim Chim which yields 100 Chim Spheres to your meter.

The cost for the door to each Floor will go up by 1 Chim Sphere per floor and the base cost for the Steam Doors is 10 Chim Spheres, meaning with each door it will go up by 1 Chim Sphere.))1d20+2

Madotsuki briefly looked at Yuuka, who introduced herself to the group. Although she didn't say anything about her, she did seem interested about the kind of powers that she had, even if she didn't show it. She then snickered when Haseo decided to give Young Link a nickname. She wanted to say that she could come up with a better name, but now wasn't the time for that. The group was now going to begin the trek through the Forest of Pain.

Madotsuki followed from behind Haseo and prepared for the worst and soon noticed the first obstacle in the Forest of Pain, pendulums that were swinging across from tree to tree, it looked slow enough, so Madotsuki was ready to get through them and tried to get past once she watched Haseo get through them with ease.

It was some miracle that Madotsuki didn't get hurt when getting across the pendulums. Seeing as how she crossed them when they were about to hit her, but she had managed to get to the other side without a single one whacking her further into the Forest. She was alright for now and began to look around while waiting for the others to reach her and Haseo, while being silent.

Upon looking around, Madotsuki found a Chim walking nearby, and promptly picked them up before walking over to Haseo with them. "I found this. They might help us somehow." She said.
