N smiles lightly as Kappin confirms what he had been thinking. Perhaps they could get Clucky and Zoroark to get along a bit better. It was certainly worth a shot, at the very least. Nodding quietly to Kappin in agreement, he turned his attention back to the trainer in the hospital bed.

While Purple was pretty preoccupied with Zeraora, N couldn't help but analyze the relationship between them that had just formed. he could see and almost...familial bond between the two, even though they had only just met. As Purple started babbling on and on again, N focused his attention more on Zeraora. He knew there was something...different about her. Certainly not like any Pokemon that he had ever met before. He had known Pokemon that had grown fond of their trainers quickly, sure, but it was almost unbelievable how fast she had bonded with Purple. Either she was just extremely friendly toward everyone, or...there was a part of her that needed filling. N didn't want to delve into something like that right away, especially not in front of Purple. But it was definitely something that had piqued his interest.

Breaking his train of thought, N felt Clucky's talon tap him on the shoulder. "Hmm?" N turned to face the fire chicken, an interested look on his face. "Yes, Clucky? What can we help you with?"

Zeraora seemed outright flattered that Purple acted so... ecstatically to her speech. It filled her with joy, with glee, and eventually with uncertainty. What if she spilled the wrong secret, the wrong words to Purple? Would she be relegated to being a translator to this boy's team..? Her heart ached a little at the prospect, but leaving him here would be not only foolish, but it would be cruel.

That's when Clucky spoke.

She turns her head, and listens to his request. She ran her big ol' fluffy paws to her chest, clutching her Clamperls so to speak. Zera, in hopes to partly conceal the surprise, speaks in that Pokemon Tongue to Clucky. (I second N's sentiments, but... I think he needs to hear your request out, not... me. Humans tend to bond quicker with other humans.)

(Okay, so… Y’see… This whole Shedinja deal’s got me thinking. How do I put this?...) Clucky began formulating his proposal. Even in Pokéspeak he wasn’t a Blaziken of many words, and it showed. (…Ever since that goofy little kid saved my life back when I was just a Torchic, I’ve dedicated my life to paying back the favor.) He punched his claws for emphasis. (And for the most part it worked out. Fighting just sort of came naturally to me. Pineapple over there’s a Ludicolo because found a Water Stone, but me, I got to be a Blaziken the hard way.) He punctuated this by flexing a bicep or two. (Protecting Purple from wild Pokémon is what made me strong and every battle was a new lesson and a new experience gained. And no matter what, he always made sure whatever scratch or bruise I got was bandaged and healed up… Anyway, we look out for each other--let me just get to it: ) He began to trail off, briefly lost in an anecdote before steering himself back on track.
(I’m… Not getting any younger. And the kid’s not getting any… Look, whether I like it or not, there’s gonna come a day when I can’t stop what’s coming.)[/font] He sighed and admitted reluctantly with a bitter folding his arms. He scratched his noggin and snapped his claws trying to remember. (“Give a man a berry, you’ve fed him for a day?) (More like an hour) (Teach him how to plant a berry bush, you’ve fed him forever.”) (More like a week.) (Contrarily, I recall the original analogy you are paraphrasing involved the catching and consumption of Water-Type Pokémon.) Nintenda interjected, hovering over from Purple’s lap.

(So that’s what I wanna do: I wanna teach the Normal-type kid how to fight like a Fighting-Type. Y’know, so he can defend himself when my back is turned.) Clucky finally reached his conclusion. It seemed like Purple wasn’t the only one on his team that could take forever to make a point. (Problem is…Well, I don’t speak English. He doesn’t speak Pokéspeak. You guys do. So do you mind…Uh, what’s the word?) (Translating? Interpreting? Being a medium?) The Ninjask suggested as she landed on N’s shoulder. (Yeah that’s it. Help us teach him. Help us train him.) The Blaziken proposed, extending a partner claw onto N’s free shoulder.
(Ooh ooh This sounds like fun! I’m in. I wanna mentor him in the mystical art of the Ludicolo~.) Kappineapple chimed in, amused by the prospect.
