We’re now moving on to the last location in the Outer Plains, which brings us to Crestfallen Castle. Given the amount of representation that the site seems to have for Fire Emblem, hopefully we can get some more Sub-Locations going this time around!

Alrighty, so naturally we will be looking for locations that were memorable from the Fire Emblem series, but that is not exclusively what we are looking for. Any medieval or sword and sorcery type of game is up for grabs. That could be anything from the spectrum of fantasy games. Skyrim? Shovel Knight? Ultima? Hydlide (because it didn’t make it for the Zelda Sub-Location and that disappoints me)?

As always, winners gain 100 coins, so hop to it!

Priority #1 - Distinctness from the parent location: So for example, a sub-location in Mushroom Ruins should not simply be another part of Mushroom Ruins. Toad Town for example would be a sub-location we'd have to deny for not being distinct from its parent location, as that is already the primary setting.

Priority #2 - Roleplay Opportunities: Locations suggested should provide a wide variety of potential missions that could be hosted there. If a location seems more like an individual mission gimmick that caters itself to one specific type of mission, it's probably better off staying that way rather than becoming a sub-location. The same goes for locations that characters can't logically normally access.

Priority #3 - Iconicness: Locations should be representative to the series, as opposed to being stuff that has been randomly made up because it sounds fun. Making your own stuff up is great, don't get me wrong, but because of the issue of clutter we probably won't be accepting custom sub-boards at this time.

Forgotten Valla
Description: A long lost kingdom that stayed in seclusion for millennia, now brought to the naked eye due to a space-time anomaly. While it looks like a simple set of interconnected islands, this place boasts strange geometry, as the land and sky itself seems to be rend in pieces, and it floats about seemingly at random. Whilst Starvia activity is low, ghastly soldiers with murderous intent as their only drive scout the isles and tend to attack on sight of visitors.

Godless Kichioji City
Description: Once a proud prefecture close to japan, during the events of Shin Megami Tensei, was changed into a jagged realm, full of marauders, poisoned air and no sunlight through the roof. Those who live in this area often have the belief that the Gods have abandoned them, as Demons from the underworld roam freely, consuming those who they find whole, and those who live have rampant gang wars. Even the holiest of angelic creatures feel a sadness deep in this location. This place is hopeless... Perhaps. Its your call on whether or not to try and save this city. The long exiled city is hidden underground, which can be accessed through the lower basements of Crestfallen Castle.

Misty Bog
Description: Little interconnected islands and giant trees, some of which are hollowed out to be used as homes for an race of tribal apelike creatures that don't take kindly to visitors, decorate the mucky expanse of bog that makes up most of the terrain. Many a creature, and traveler, has met their end after stepping into the 'waters' and finding themselves swallowed up by the earth. If that weren't enough, the area is also filled with man-eating plant life, gigantic boars, giant venomous frogs and gnorc poachers. In spite of its dangers, the bog has a low Starvia presence and is extremely important to Li's biodiversity.

Name of Sub-Location: Forgotten Valla

Role in Parent Series: Forgotten Valla is taken straight from Fire Emblem Fates. It's the main location of the Revelation route and it's known to be the one kingdom that instigated the war in Hoshido and Nohr, due to the influence of the mad dragon Anankos spreading throughout.

Parent Location:
Crestfallen Castle
Description: A mighty military base, modeled after feudal japan, with bright skies and plenty of sunlight. The ground is flattened and grassy, sakura-blossoms surround the entire area, with a overall light tone across the entire land. There are thousands of military tents set up across this land, most torn apart, some larger than others. The infected of this land take up the form of Hoshiden Samurai that have long since lost there lives. They seem to be at war with the infected of Nohrian Woods. Despite the constant fighting, Fish and Rice are a surprisingly clean resource across the Hoshiden fort.
Role in Parent Series: Represents Hoshido, a faction of Fire Emblem Fates's Story.

Crestfallen Castle
Description:A dark forest covered in dead tree's , smoky purple skies, and no sunlight. The ground is rended and jagged, stones extrude and gore from the very ground itself, with a overall dark tone across the entire land. The foliage is typically Prickly bushes, and the Infected of this area typically take the form of Nohrian Soldiers, long since lost to there lives. The infected of Nohrian Woods seem to be at war with the infected of the Hoshiden Fort. Despite the dark nature of this area, For some reason, the Vegetables and Fruit of this land remain surprisingly clean, and various Milk Cows roam with some kind of magical protection
Role in Parent Series:Represents Nohr, a Faction from Fire Emblem Fates's Story.

Hoshiden Fort and Nohrian Woods may be problematic considering that one seems to rely on the other in order to exist. The two possible solutions I could see to this would be either:

A) Both would have to be within the top three selected in the polls in order to qualify as a Sub-Location

or

B) The two locations could be combined into one.

In addition, clean rice, fruit, fish, and magically protected cows conflict with the site's setting and will be edited out in the final draft.

Just some observations.

I muse myself that a fort inside a castle location fails the first two priorities, which really ought to disqualify it since they're the first two for a reason. I would like to recommend combining the two if anything. That being said, here's my contribution!

Role in Parent Series: Misty Bog is a level from the original Spyro the Dragon game, though this particular location has been combined with the Tree Tops level from the same game. They both serve as levels in the Beast Masters world, and are memorable for their music and infamous jump puzzles respectively.
