Welcome, fellow warriors of the fray, to Super Smash Brothers: LIFE ITSELF!
We are the original SSB RP forum, and are a dedicated, friendly, community.
Years after the Subspace Emissary collapse, a mysterious explosion forced Nintendo Universes to a planet called Li.
A mystical force is said to be the cause of bringing everyone into a trap of noxious gas known as Starvia.
It is up to the new Smash Brothers of Li to step up and change the world through their actions.
Will you make the right choice?

It brings me great pain to pass the news, but the God slayer that was Shizuka the Slugma has fallen. She was the boldest of the team and the only one with any good attacks. Perhaps slaying Arceus for a living gone to her head, but she had evidently fell to the critical hit of an Exeggutor’s confusion. Her sacrifice was not in vain though, as her murderer had stomped on her a couple turns previous and her Flame Body managed to burn the felon. Sanic came in to slay the beast, but he wouldn’t have managed without the burn that Shizuka inflicted onto it. Ashes to ashes, magma to magma.
There comes a time where every trainer must say goodbye to their starter Pokemon, it is unfortunate that today is that day. What started as the Olivine City massacre was the fall of the Li team’s first and true leader, Nana. Most people don’t see the Focus Energy Nidoking coming, but they know when it is thrust upon them that no good can come from it. Instead of dwelling on her death though, it is important to remember her for who she was. A powerful little pup that fought to the last breath. While she may not be at my side in the physical sense, she will always be in the spiritual sense. In our moments when we defeat Red atop Mount Silver, we will chant Nana to the heavens!
I never got to know Schezo personally. The most I knew was that he was quick tempered and brave. Some said he was just another weak bug, but I knew him as a brave soldier that took a problem head on. He was the first to face the villainous Grotle, the chieftain behind the Olivine City massacre. Some say that his weak moves were what caused the Grotle to gain such immense power, but he was the soul brave enough to face against it. Any would have fallen victim to his Sitrus berry and Curse combo, the fact that it was Schezo on the other end doesn’t make him weaker for it! Rest peacefully, soldier. Do not go gently into that good night!
Yet another who had fallen victim to the vile Grotle. She was not the first that was brutally destroyed in the Olivine City massacre and she wasn’t the last either. She wasn’t like her other comrades, she was lost in her ways, trying to find her own path in life. Her only reasoning for joining the brigade was her love of fighting, but it ultimately did not save her from the imminent doom. She played her role in the battle, but it was one that was short to begin with. May she find the path that she was searching for, she will not be alone in her travels.
When such a horrid disaster occurs, one must think of the innocents that had so much untapped potential. In the case of the Olivine City massacre, Iris was that individual. She still had a long way to go before she would be nited, but such stories seem to never end victoriously. While the Grotle was busy feasting on the remains of her fellow warriors, Iris attempted to unleash the final blow on the beast, but it tanked the hit regardless. One hyper potion later, the beast tackled her down and began gnawing her to death like the rest. Her sacrifice was not in vain though and the Grotle would be brought to justice. May she someday become the Dragonite she so desired to be.
Roll outing at the speed of sound did not solve all of Sanic’s life problems. While in his early career, his carefree attitude and mildly impressive strength was enough to make him a considerable fighter, the Olivine City massacre was his true test. It was an uphill battle for certain and with how many defeated allies lied around him, it did not inspire confidence. Confidence was not something he needed though. His raw defense was enough to allow him to score two solid hits on his opponent before he fell like the others. He knew that Ruby would finish the Grotle off though, and he was satisfied enough knowing that their struggles would mean something. When speaking of the Olivine City massacre, it should never be done in spite, Sanic’s spirit would not be set at ease if it was.
The lord of the underworld did not last too long. One would think that his natural bulk would have kept him from death, but coincidentally death was the hardest thing that he could avoid. His life was taken on the fourth battle that he ever had to experience, in which he surprisingly couldn’t take five rock blasts from a Geodude (two of them managed to crit as well). By some, he was known as the great wall, but today has shown us he is just as human as any of us.
It brings me no pleasure that I must announce that another of our fighters have fallen. It would seem that the saying “life imitates art” is a true one as A.I.M. passed away just as its counterpart has. It was still early in its career, but not many face the wrath of a Dragon’s Rage and live to tell the tale. It might have been a Dratini, but its rage was unmatched. It did not get to experience the world for its beauty, but whatever resting place there is for machine, I can only hope that A.I.M. is enjoying it for all it’s worth.
