The time has come again where Piantissimo has received the ever illusive itch to run again, this time for a good long while. He felt so good to have run last time uninterrupted, and this time he was even more eager to run farther and longer. Chompee has grown a bit already and so quickly since the last time, maybe it was just how the species was, a fast growing breed with alot of energy, whether that was the truth or not, Piantissimo wasn't going to keep watching the beast on his own, especially not with his active life style and love of his alone time. Chompee was barking madly at Piantissimo from outside of his apartment leaping up and down at the yard door while Piantissimo began pacing back and forth in his apartment waiting for the little Koopa to return and take the burden of Chompee off his hands just for a while longer. "Where is he? I am dying here! I need to run, I need to get away. Chompee calm down! Oh darn it, this creature is getting too much, just too much for me! How much longer can I bear this idea of a pet? Not fun, not fun any longer to me." Piantissimo was sweating bullets and as anxious as ever as he awaited the return of Ludwig and his much desired exercise time. The Pianta masked man couldn't wait much longer, and neither could Chompee apparently as he wildly jumped and rolled and snorted at the back door wanting inside and bursting for attention of some kind.

Ludwig rushed down the street, dragging a large bag behind him. He cursed himself for running late, he’d forgotten where he stored his things in his apartment in the time between. What was driving him to be such an airhead?

“I’m here!” He said as he came to the door. He bowed his head slightly to the little costumed man to portray his slight shame. “Apologies for my tardiness, I was held up for a moment... I forgot where I'd stored some things for Chompee.” He adjusted the bag over his shoulder, it bouncing slightly off of his shell. Ludwig looked over to see the Chain chomp going crazy outside. He set the pack down and went to the back door, happy to see his friend was still doing well. “Hello Chompee! My, have you grown? You’re even more adorable, that’s for sure!” Again with that cutesy voice. Ludwig was almost disgusted with himself, not only was he trying to think like Iggy for this, but he was beginning to sound like him too! He turned to Piantissimo, regaining a respectful tone. “Right, if you’re ready to begin you may go, I think I can handle the pup. And please, take as much time as you like. I know how much you enjoy your runs, my friend.”

The sound of Ludwig's voice and his sheer presence was heavenly music to Piantissimo's ears and a sight to behold. After Ludwig showed up Piantissimo was already stretching and gathering up his running gear and water bottle for his much anticipated jog around the Life Sphere. He even already started running in place! And the koopa not only made the Pianta loving man antsy and excited for showing up, but Chompee noticed Ludwig from the yard door as well, as he started jumping up and down and yapping with unending joy. "Oh you're just the greatest ever my koopa friend! Your items for the visit this time as promised are in a bag in the kitchen, snatch them up at your convenience and Chompee is dying to see you again! Take care buddy, and cya soon!" With that brief goodbye, Piantissimo dashed passed Ludwig, ran out his apartment door and left a cloud of dust behind hm leaving the koopa to it. And then there was just Chompee, bouncing and barking away outside the door, bigger than last time and with much more energy than before, he was about ready to break the dang door down! Ludwig better be prepared for quite the exhausting day!

Ludwig nodded as his client left, making note of his reward's location. But the rattling of the back door once again gained his attention.

"Alright, alright, calm down you rascal!" Ludwig dragged his own bag to himself with a flash of blue, then he opened the door and quickly dashed outside to make sure the Chainchomp didn't go in. What a mess that would be, he certainly wouldn't have time to clean everything up! He set the pack down against the glass and hopped down to the middle of the yard, encouraging the 'chomp to chase him. The koopa had been looking forward to this day for what felt like forever, even though it was really only a short time. But that happiness he'd felt from before, it was something that took his away from his usual anger and distaste for everything. Only briefly, though, he wouldn't survive in this world or any other if he didn't keep his cynicism and clever nature about him.

With a quick 180 degree turn, Ludwig faced the beast with open arms and a happy grin on his face, braced for a tough impact."First thing's first, boy, give me a hug!" This time, he was sure he wouldn't fall to Chompee's strength.

The moment Ludwig opened the door Chompee went absolutely nuts! He rushed Ludwig giving him no time to prepare or hardly breath! Chompee ran to him with his tongue flapping in the wind and jumped right into the Koopa's arms with a great pounce! Though Ludwig believed he had the strength to endure his weight, Chompee, too had the strength to really surprise Ludwig with his growth. Once in the Koopa's arms, Chompee went straight away to licking his face in constant tongue lashes to the point of almost eating the poor Koopa's head from the exasperated licking! Ludwig's entire cranium was like a lollipop to Chompee, and the poor creature didn't realize it's own size and kept going with it. He wasn't even tiring from it and his tongue was still nice and slobbery, poor Ludwig would have to pull him off somehow before the Koopa drowned from a slobber bath! This was going to be more of a feat than last time to tame and teach Chompee what it meant to be a good pet and companion. The faster the lessons begin the better, due to Chompee's abnormal growth rate, things would only get harder for the little Koopa to properly keep the creature at bay and impress Piantissimo more and more each time with the progress and the watching. Although Chain Chomp sitting only required Ludwig to just watch the thing, teaching and taming the beast might bring more rewards than expected in the end.

Unfortunately, the Koopa again revealed his ability to severely overestimate himself. He came toppling over with Chompee’s weight, assaulted by a barrage of puppy love. He began to laugh, but a seriousness took hold and he huffed loudly as he took the joy away from himself. Ludwig you dunce, you’ve things to do and very little time to do so!

“Get off!” Ludwig demanded, retreating into his shell and sliding away across the yard. He popped out and held his palm out firmly, a fierce glare on his eyes. “Stop! Calm down, Chompee!” He demanded with the same voice he used to issue orders on the battlefield, teeming with authority. The other hand struggled to restyle his hair into his signature look from it’s terribly messy state, before disappearing into his shell and coming back out, looking as if something was hidden in his fist. I won’t be able to train him if he just keeps building more and more energy!

So the first lesson begins, calming down on command.

Chompee was very much enjoying his licking festivities to Ludwig, but it was quickly cut short, shorter than it would have liked as Ludwig withdraws into his shell and slides away. This upset Chompee as he snarls at Ludwig from ruining his fun. Just before Chompee was about to rush the Koopa again with a more aggressive tongue lashing Ludwig puts out a palm and lets out a mighty command. In a resounding boom, the word "STOP!" rings into Chompee's almost non visible ears and for some reason it seemed to work and leave an impression on it. The beast stops at the shouting noticing the urgency and seriousness in Ludwig's voice and ceases his rushing. Even though he may have stopped, Chompee's heart was still racing and it was panting for more of a good time. Any second it would want to rush the little Koopa again with all its got, this stopping tactic wouldn't be enough to keep it calm. With a lifted back end, Chompee prepares to pounce on Ludwig.

"Good boy!" Ludwig took a cautious step forward, but the action must've been too much for the chainball beast as it seemed ready to pounce. Fear momentarily tingled at Ludwig's spine. Rather than stand his ground, he turned and ran for the back door. But his escape was cut short when his toes landed on an object far too smooth to step on. He yelped, catching himself before he could accidentally snack on more dirt, and picked up that object. A mangled slobbery piece of wood with the paint falling off, his old baton...?

"Ew..." But the improv toy reminded him of something. The bag! He rushed to the bag he'd brought earlier and forgotten. The koopa grabbed it and continued running, trying to tire Chompee out with the work, though he himself was suffering from the labor. Panting, he rummaged through the bag and pulled out a huge stick, undoubtly stronger than the baton, hopefully an enticing treat for the chomp. It wasn't all that was in the bag, other toys sat awaiting their new home, but the stick was going to be Ludwig's best shot at staying alive right now...

He slid to a stop raised it, making it known that here was an item at stake for the beast's disobedience. "Chompee, STOP!"

Chompee was just about off the ground for a good pounce when he was stopped again in its tracks by the presentation of a nice big stick. This one looked more delectable and enticing than the previous baton, and it drooled for its taste! Chompee had enough training now however to know when it would be rewarded, and that was by listening. It had to resist with every lasting effort from pouncing Ludwig and tackling the turtle, using all its willpower, it leaped into the air and landed back down on the ground again in a nice planted sit. It didn't pounce on Ludwig after all and licked its gums for that other baton. It's teeth have grown since before, and looked sharper, so it figured it could tear away at that baton rather quickly and faster than the last one even though it was alot bigger. It didn't care how long the stick would last at its strength, it wanted it badly and remained sitting with an accelerated heart rate in a pant lusting for its possession. One could still tell within the beast that it wasn't doing this easily or patiently, it was doing this by force for its treat, and it was getting tired of following commands for something delicious. A thought had crossed its mind that maybe next time it would just pry it from Ludwig's claws and munch on it without caring about the Koopa's direction, but a small part of it felt the desire to obey, to please, but its appetite wouldn't take much convincing to take over and overrule the commands, and it was getting bigger by the day....
