Yet again, Firebrand was in the arena, finally having finished lobbing his pile of skulls around the arena and sitting on a barrel, he had placed a carefully scrawled note out on the notice board after tearing his old one down.

The note read quite plainly:

"Seeking a match from a certain dynamic animal duo for the entertainment of the masses, can you keep up the beat with the tough and speedy Red Blaze? Find out in a special match to test your limits."

Firebrand waited patiently in the arena sitting on his barrel, waiting for his opponent; and the referee, to get this match underway.

Banjo and his life long companion, Kazooie, enter the arena trembling forgetting how big and scary it was since the last time they were here. Banjo eyes the crowd with widened amazement, they were so loud and so....present. He could already feel the sweat dripping from his fur. "Gee Kazooie, I don't think it was a good idea comin back here to accept the Fire Man's challenge. But Fire Men are always so dang helpful I thought, what the hay why not!" Kazooie points an urgent wing in the direction of Banjo's opponent, Firebrand. Banjo looks in the direction in confusion. "But that guy sure doesn't LOOK like a Fire Man..." Banjo was definitely puzzled as he scratched his chin. Kazooie pecked him a few times still to this day always clearing things up for the pea brained bear. "No you foolish bear! It's name is Firebrand, and it wants to hurt you, bad! NOT help you like a Fire Man." Banjo was finally getting the picture, and he gasped after hearing the bird making things clear.

"Oh my gosh! NO! I don't wanna fight! NOOOO!!!!" The bear started to turn around and leave but Kazooie flapped its wings and moved its body forcing the bear to turn the other way. Seeing as Banjo had terrible balance and movement, Kazooie was always forced to direct and move his massive physique. "It's too late now dimwit, we entered the arena, thus officially accepting his challenge. No escape!" The bear upon hearing this began to cry. He was not a fighter, but a lover. "Please let's not fight! Pleaaase!" The bear begged the fire beast pleading for mercy.

The crying mercy of Banjo was not pitiful, but moreso annoying. Although, he did put his heart and soul into his pleading.

As banjo pleaded for release of this plain of torment, the audience was suddenly silenced as they looked to see something flying through the air. It looked to be...A missile?! No way! Someone was going to destroy the life sphere, and on such a great day! The missile closed further and further in, heading straight for sunshine stadium...Until a man. Nay, not just a man...A god came from the ground, grabbing the missile and throwing it back from whence it came, in one fell karate throw. The crowd cheered, as the ref reared his face...Yes. It was him. The true lord of all thing's amazing. The king, of consoles...The guardian spirit of Sega. Music rang through the stadium.

"SEGATA, SANSHIRO, SEGATA, SANSHIRO, SEGATTAAAAAAAAAA....SHIRRROOOOOOOOOO!"

The karate maste performed a slow motion leap onto the referee's stand, turning to face the two challengers...Blech. Both of them, Nintendo console representatives. Segata narrowed a mighty brow at the two of them, before raising a hand. "SEGATA...SHIRO!" he said angrily, A Sega Saturn coming into his hand from a lightning bolt from the sky, as he presented it to the two. The Sega Saturn then opened up, releasing English dialogue the two could understand from its disc compartment. "THE RULES...YOU SHALL NOT GO FOR THE KILL. YOU SHALL NOT USE ITEMS. YOU SHALL NOT USE OUTSIDE HELP. UNLESS, IT IS YOUR FIGHTING STYLE..." Segata Sanshiro then took out a Sega Saturn themed Wheel of Fortune, punishing it with all of his strength to spin it...

"..." Segata nodded as he observed the result, the Sega Saturn releasing its booming voice. "MODIFIERS....TIMES...2!" It said, the crowd going wild at the result. Segata then jumped down onto the field, looking at the two. "Segata...SHIRO!" He said, the Sega Saturn he held glowing as Firebrand, along with the animal duo, Banjo and Kazooie glowing as there power doubled!

Segata raised a hand, preparing...nay. He was ready for the fighters. When there cue of battle was given...Segata was ready to put his flag down for the match to begin. He simply awaited there pre-battle dialogue to finish.

"Interesting turnout, especially since it gives me the idea NOT to use my Chaos Tide immediately. Just relax and enjoy the fun and pretend that your fifgting your old nemesis... Yes, I understand the rules; and good luck in your DEATH BATTLE against Chuck Norris, Mr. Sanshiro!" Firebrand said, sliding off his barrel, placing it on its side, and kicking it clean out of the arena where it crashed to reveal nothing but a closed jar of honey that was a product of another Makai Resident.

Firebrand then got into his fighting stance, eager to get things started.

There was a small sound in the pit of Banjo's stomach which could be either fear or hunger, or both. Kazooie and Banjo have won a fight before, so what would make this time any different? Well, except for the fact that it's been about a solid year since their last actual fight and by some miracle they won. Alot can happen in a year though, such as weakness and growing fear of the unknown. Banjo raised his paws in the air swiping at the wind as if he is getting into a battle position. Kazooie pecks the air along with the bear ready for a fight. "Okay then Kazooie...I guess we're doin this!" Kazooie nods and flaps her wings as well as ruffles her feathers showing off her colors and battle ready toughness. "We're ready ref!" Kazooie shouts in confidence as the two prepare for a fight.

With both parties in agreement, Segata threw his hand down to begin the match, back flipping to the referee's stand once more to observe the battle. "Segatan, shiro!!" He cried, as his version of "Begin!"



"Welcome back, you sick pieces of crap, to the ever exciting world of the Sunshine Stadium! I am Howard 'Buckshot' Holmes!"

"And i'm Kreese Kreely. Tonight we have a match between, Yet another underdog of the stadium, Firebrand!"

"And the ever lovable animal duo, Banjo and Kazooie!"

"Wow! Ive never seen a bear get so friendly with a girl!"

"Neither have i! That is certainly one hairy bear!"

"I bet that Bear is friends with all the other Bears!"

"...You think we killed the Bear being synonymous with a gay guy joke already?"

Firebrand started things off, taking to his hover and charging at Banjo with a Headbutt Devil's Claw combo, and attempted to chain it with a Hell Spitfire.

"I hope Konami knew that their code was finally used in an RPG..." Firebrand said in mock puzzlement, hoping to get some of the stadium audience laughing.

Banjo and Kazooie were luckily already pumped and ready for battle, nothing caught them off guard and they were ready to maneuver in any way they had to in order to avoid the strange Fire Man's attacks. The first one came in a swift bashing motion as the hovering monster darted towards them, the duo fed off of eachother's instinct and chemistry with Kazooie's wings spread wide to angle Banjo any way she had to in order for the attack to be dodged.

Roll for Dodge The Head:

Through some terrible luck, Banjo was not once again paying attention and did not help Kazooie maneuver his large bear figure out of the way for dodging the head bashing attack. Kazooie tried moving the bear in time but its wings strained from the attempt and the headbutt crushed into Banjo's chest and they both really felt the impact. But the raging Gargoyle was not done with its onslaught, it went in for a slashing fest gunning for the bear's organs with its sharp claws. Banjo shouted out; "Kazooie!" The bird looked up with a nod hearing Banjo's cry and prepared for another dodge. "I got ya covered big guy!" Pulling Banjo away with all her might Kazooie tries to avoid the claws.

Roll for Dodging Claws:

The crazy clawing was succesfully avoided and the duo swiftly soars out of the way as Kazooie in a push of strength sways Banjo away from the claw with her large wing span and sharp eyes. But even after all that, now there was a plume of fire heading their way! The bear tried to help Kazooie dodge this one by strafing a little.

Roll for Banjo, NO FIRE:

Because Banjo is clearly an idiot, he actually thinks the fire looks pretty and runs TO it. In the process he gets scorched pretty bad and his fur gets covered in soot and smoke. He shakes it off feeling the sting, and Kazooie pulls him back again snapping him out of it. "Okay buddy, time to return the favor!" Kazooie motivates her partner to attack back, and the bear growls liking the idea.

Banjo first juts out his claws and goes for an outstretched scratch attack trying to claw the monster's face into a mess.

Kazooie then extends its neck and towers over Banjo for a moment to attempt to peck the Gargoyle several times with a sharpened beak motion for a Rat-a-Tap-Rap. It wasn't real accurate, however.

Lastly, Kazooie felt a fire boistering in her keester, and she flung her tushie in the direction of the monster and popped out some flaming Eggs with her Egg Fire move at the beast. Again, not very accurate though.

It seems the team had a bit of luck in the dodging category, but the attacks could have been better. And since they both work together, chemistry and connection was key to their victory, and right now, it was still too scattered of a battle to keep a steady connection.

Firebrand said, giving a facepalm at the crazy antics of the commentators, but put it to the back of his mind for now and swooped in close, then let loose a beam of dark fire at near point blank range.

WIS ROLL: 2{mediocre Dark Fire}

"Buck up, Mr. bear. At least we get to put on a great show for the audience, might even make headlines if we keep pulling our 100%." Firebrand added, giving a mild chuckle. He was clearly enjoying the publicity that was going to help make headlines in the LiSN{Life Sphere News} network, and wanted the world to know that the Makai Realm was merely in hiding whilst its representative did as much as he could.

Banjo and Kazooie somehow have survived this long through the heat of this Fire Man's onslaught. If they've made it this far, they had to keep going! Banjo was starting to feel the heat of the last flaming attack from the opponent, and if he got hit by one again he would be close to done for and ready to be served on a plate. Kazooie could tell Banjo was hurting from the previous attack, and she was going to try even harder for him to keep him safe. And now was the chance to do so as another fire based attack came flying their way from the monster. Kazooie outstretched her wings and tried to move Banjo out of the way with a big flapping motion.

Roll for Dodge the fire:

Banjo and Kazooie manage to strife away from the fire attack that could have been deadly and prepare to attack once more. "I think it's time-" Banjo is cut off while Kazooie knew just what he was thinking. "TO DO A BEAR ROLL!" Kazooie smiles with Banjo nodding and reels her body back with a mighty flap digging her claws into Banjo's backpack and prepping him like a catapult pulling him backwards, and then flinging him with a strong snap at the monster.

Roll for BEAR ROLL:

The fling was half winded and didn't have the power behind it at all. Banjo did more like a somersault and still aimed to roll into the monster with all his might. Kazooie thinking the attack won't land, flew straight to the monster and added another Rat-a-tap-rap to the mix pecking him again.

Kazooie was relentless with her pecking and went for the same spot she pecked at before to do some more damage to the monster's skin.

Firebrand managed to avoid the Bear Roll, but yet again the bird had made its beak known on his reinforced headbutt launcher. Firebrand then gave a mild Chuckle, belieing that he was now done monkeying around.

"Good thing I've been saving this for when I needed to go all out, now things will be more fun, which brings up a question to you both. Have you ever heard of a Red Arremer turning as white as snow before? If not, then you earned front row seats to the first chance to see it happen. To quote my card again; 'Tough enough to be a Final Boss, hard to believe he's in STAGE 1!' Ki ki ki KIAH!" Firebrand said, then letting out a ear-piercing shreik, causing a sudden burst of demonic energy to be let loose, next moment, the Red Arremer Ace was now pure White, which was probably for cosmetic reveal, but looks can be very decieving, and in Firebrand's case, much more dangerous as his speed gained a boost as did his stat mods.

"Don't blink..." were the only words said as Firebrand aimed for another base combo like last time.

Kazooie flew back on Banjo's pack after the peck and Banjo readjusted himself up to his feet once again after his roll ended. The duo was together and close again, but both of them had to stay alert and shake off the battle's turmoil on them to turn the tide. They both saw before they could react their opponent turning into a flashing white color and Banjo was mystified by it loving the sight of him. "OOOO PREEEETTTYYYY! He went from Fire Man to Milk Man!" Kazooie didn't really know what to say to that comment, but she did know she had to go straight into the next strategy before the two of them become the gargoyle's punching bags. "Banjo, we are left with no choice. It's time." Banjo frowned knowing what Kazooie meant. "But...I don't like using that move. It makes me feel....strange...and not myself!" Kazooie smacked Banjo with her wing and scorned him. "Quit your yammerin and get ready!" Banjo sighs and rolls into a ball. Kazooie's feathers begin to glow and she starts growing three sizes bigger as golden flames surround her and her eyes seer into a blazened ember color.

She stretches her entire body over Banjo's and covers him with her now giant wings. After a moment, Banjo himself begins to glow a hot orange color, and his eyes seer into a bright yellow. His fur then begins to turn into a fire red and prickle up, he looks completely different and rather feral. His teeth seap over his gums and he flashes them at his opponent. Kazooie is now nowhere to be found, as if she has meshed with Banjo and they have become one. There is no sign of Kazooie other than various feathers melded all over Banjo's fur. Banjo now talks a bit...smarter.

"Well well well monster....it seems you have drawn us to this conclusion, and now....I must finish you and make you humble." The voice sounded like a mix of Banjo and Kazooie in one, with a strange dark undertone to it. The duo was now invincible for three turns. The duo simply takes the monster's attacks letting it tear the two up as much as it could, but it does no damage to them.

"Nice try. Now have a taste of our true bond together! BEAK BARGE!" A golden colored Kazooie reappears and forms out of the energy emitting from Banjo and Banjo holds her like a powerful lance with her beak extended out in a sharp display. Banjo then rushes the monster with a firm grip on Kazooie as a weapon hoping to impale the beast.

Roll for Beak Barge:

Banjo didn't feel satisfied enough with the attack and goes for another. "EAT MY PAWS!" Banjo juts his claws out and tries to slash up the fiend.

It seemed the creature would have more resilience than they thought. "Alright, ONE MORE! BEAK BUSTER!" Banjo jumps high into the air as Kazooie once again manifests herself out of the golden energy around Banjo and stretches her wings out allowing the bear to gain some heighth. He soars into the air and then with the help of Kazooie's air control, slams his rear down towards the gargoyle trying to crush him with his large bottom.

Roll for Beak Buster:

This time the duo stops their assault there and stands upright glowing brightly next to the monster directly next to the monster actually, with no fear whatsoever and gives the beast a chance to attack again.
