So, as all you active people will have noticed Chatango has been having some issues of late which have caused intermittent lapses in the chat availability, double posts, and lag. This is due to Chatango being under a DDoS attack. There's no telling how long this will last and unfortunately nothing that we can do on our end.

There's always the option of creating a backup chat system, so if anyone has any suggestions feel free to voice them. Other chat services I know of at this moment are Cbox (pay to get auto updates), Chatroll (not the best but...), and PB's default Shoutbox.

Whelp, I suppose it's time to change the chat box. Cbox might be the preferable option.

The only thing I don't like about Cbox is you have to pay to get the auto updating one. It isn't expensive but when there are many free alternatives...

Chatroll is one of them but I haven't really enjoyed my experience with it in the past. The default PB shoutbox is much much better than it used to be but no idea if the auto updating works yet.


PS - Other than the pay for auto updates thing Cbox is great, used to use it before I found chatango years ago

The PB shoutbox doesn't the last time I checked. I don't know much about Chatroll. I feel Cbox is still the preferable option considering that it auto updates and I would be able to moderate it, which is something I didn't like about the chatango one.

Haha, well if Shadow was on and gave you moderation powers you could have with Chatango. It has that capability, and a lot more if the chatbox had been updated. We were still using an oldie version.

But yes, I do like Cbox.

Okay, that I didn't know. Well, we can always just purchase the short 3 month package for the time being and see how well that plays over and if chatango is up and running again we can switch back to that.
