In front of the police station stood the accused one. Toshi, research shows he is the brother of Mario's friend, Yoshi. He's bright blue, but there is key differences from the normal Yoshi. For one, he wore a cap similar to the Mario Bros with a T on it, he also had small wings on his back, though he could not use them for flight, the final major difference is the fact he carries a staff and sword on him. Though this is weird for Yoshis, considering they aren't the species to use unnartural weapons.

He waited for his two attorneys to come and meet him for extra info. He heard of Vector and was happy he was helping, but Hades did not sound as promising. The name just wreaked of evil for some reason. Either way, he waits for them to arrive with his orbed staff and sword on his saddle/shell. He doubted they learned anything on their own, that Linex probably expected it from Vector and decided to erase the data he could get from digital means.

Blah blah blah Hades infernal choir sings as Hades comes from fire portal blah blah blah yeah, you know this is how i start off every Hades thread so lets just skip this part and get to hades making silly banter with everyone.

Hades was holding several of his own under-world style items, like large cards with pictures on them, a stand, and a few empty files and baggies to hold his evidence in. Thankfully, this was all stored inside of one large hellish briefcase that was covered in the same texture and colors of Hades normal palette. "Greetings little blue lizard thing. I assume your the person i will be proving innocent. Absolutely lovely." He said, not having his toothy grin but instead a sly smug grin. "I have a great strategy that will not fail, believe me. Actually, you'd best believe me unless you want to go to jail. Hehehahaha!" Hades then opened his brief case, and pulled out a hot cup of coffee, and a cravat. Hades put on his miles edgeworth get up, and started drinking from his cup of coffee. How did he get a cup of coffee from his briefcase?? Because he's Hades.

Once Vector had heard of the case, he had to begin investigating. A Yoshi being brought to court and resorting to calling for mercenaries for attorneys was a strange case indeed. His search through any means of communication were scarce, he couldn’t find anything. Not even files for Toshi. Well, whoever was on the defense team was a clever little bugger, but Vector was cleverer.

Through deductive reasoning he could figure through the few laws that the Life Sphere had, this creature was either being accused for murder or property damage. He doubted that a Yoshi would be able to concoct research on the Starvia, especially one without a lab. There were only a few laboratory facilities in the Life Sphere and this creature was part of none of them. The only other possibility was that he crossed one of the leaders, but given that he is closely related to Yoshi, a personal friend of Mario, it was safe to assume that wasn’t the case either.

Whatever it was, the saurian had to keep an open mind for this case and be wary of any and everything. This is exactly what the Chaotix were designed to do, so if they couldn’t succeed in proving a Yoshi to be innocent then their credibility would plummet quickly.

The crocodile arrived on the scene as his partner in crime began to put on some sort of frilly red suit. While that was hardly the strangest thing about him, Vector wasn’t going to begin to question these things. He was a large lime lizard wearing head phones and a gold chain. Speaking of which his music wasn’t difficult to pick up on. This time around he decided to switch it up with a drum solo on repeat.

While his partner, Hades, seemed to be decked out with all sorts of equipment, Vector only had a single notepad on his person. The crime-fighting crocodile rarely needed a tool outside of his own brain. “Alright then, what’s this all about?” Vector quizzed the Yoshi as he flipped open to the first page of his notepad. Considering they didn’t even know what this creature was being accused of, their opposing company was already leagues ahead of them.

Toshi was startled as something is seeming to be making an overly dramatic entrance... and where was that music and choir coming from? After his words, its safe to assume this was Hades. Toshi opened his mouth to respond but he almost forgot. Did not know how to speak english. Hopefully that translation spell is not deactivated. Toshi reached behind himself as Vector was coming and gave his staff a tap as it glew bright blue. Hopefully it still works.

"Sorry I could not tell you from the board," good, it does, "I was worried Linex might sabotage it if I was too specific. Anyway, I was accused of murdering my brother Yoshi. I wasn't even aware of it until I was waken up by cops this morning. Vanish T. seems to have enough fate to have arranged this trial to be more formal. This is not about avoiding imprisonment, I do not want to be known as a kin murderer! I would never hurt Yoshi! I have high respect for my brother!" Toshi ended with a sigh, though with paying enough attention, you can hear him add, "He was the only one that understood me," quietly.

Hades took out some hair jell, and slicked his hair back to a Phoenix wright style hairdue. "Well emosaur, hopefully we can get to work on proving someones innocence. Not guaranteeing its you, but someone! Anyways, How do we begin. I suppose it involves me and pursey here going to the scene of the crime." Hades laughed, popping open his case and putting his strange faced mug back inside. Hades wasn't going to mention anything about the alligators choice of music, but he instead shrugged it off. "Another thing bluey, never admit your guilt. Thats the first step to innocence."

The very few amount of words that the Yoshi let loose were enough to keep Vector’s intrigue. He jotted down a few things in his notepad. Most notably was the sabotage from the defense attorney. While it wasn’t against the law, in any sort of court room that would instantly lose that lawyer’s credibility. The evidence was clearly there, especially if the powdered blue creature could pick up on it. The other thing was the fact that Toshi made it clear that Yoshi was dead, not trophified. While that was some serious business since killing was near impossible for a civilian to do, he had his doubts that this pedestrian was capable of doing that.

With such strong evidence as this, it would be insane if Vector couldn’t win them the court case right then and there. Well, Hades was still a problem, but overall he could easily persuade the court to his favour. Why would anyone want the ruler of the underworld representing them in court anyway? That is really bad PR.

As the crocodile’s eyes shifted from his paper work, he noticed the demon beginning to spike his hair up. Did losing the rights to the underworld make this guy lose his mind or was he always this loopy?

“I’m sure you know a lot about seeming innocent…” the crocodilian interjected to the devil. “Alright, what he said: do you know where the scene of the crime is? It’d be best if you stayed here while we go investigate. We wouldn’t want this defendant of yours to get any more evidence against you. We’ll handle everything from here.” Vector offered while giving his trademark thumbs up.

"How am I not looking innocent? As I said, I do not know what happened exactly. I don't even know-"

Before Toshi could finish his sentence, an electronic voice spoke up, "Allow me to answer that for you." After the voice spoke, a metal rolling desk with an old computer on it rolled itself towards them from the corner of the building. "My name is Linex, Linex Might. You must be the ones defending the Kin Slayer," the voice continued as a green digital face appeared on the screen. "Since you have little chance of beating a high teeeeeeeeeeeee..." As it was speaking, it screen went blue and turned off. After a few seconds it turned back on with the face. "Rebooting... Anyway, to be fair, I'll give you some guidance. A detective is at the park looking into the scene. Not that your efforts will get you anywhere. I already have all I need to calculate 99.999999999991% Success rate." And with that, the desk moon rolled away.

Hades couldn't help it. From his lungs arose a roaring laughter at the sight of the prosecution. "Pffff hahahahaha! Oh, this truthfully is a riot. Please, tell me this is real. I wan not wait to see this foolish machine try to outwit a god, and two lizards..." Actually, after saying that Hades somewhat felt confused on this scenario. A teal yoshi, A jammin' croc and the lord of the underworld all working together. This will be a scenario rivaled by...most of the scenario's hades is in.

"Well, suppose that the park is our next destination mister crocodile. After you my good man." Hades said, stepping aside to give vector plenty of room. "Just let me handle making the court swoon to my side. You can figure out the crime scene, evidence and key elements." And as a side note, hades hair had defied its hair gel prison and came back to its normal sea-weed styled glory.

Vector was at a loss for words when their competition made its appearance. A monitor on wheels? Well, this was going to be an interesting case to say the least. Though, it made the lizard wonder if the thing had some sort of bug because it destroyed any evidence that Vector could get his hands on, yet gave him a hint toward where the crime had taken place. So, was this thing trying to cheat its way and forgot its main goal or was it too stupid to realise that it is revealing important information for the opposing team. Both seemed likely, though with the ‘moon rolling’ it performed he was going to take a guess that it was the latter.

The park would be their next location then, unless of course the defendant was just trying to blow them off the trail, but considering that Toshi didn’t speak up to tell them otherwise it didn’t seem as likely. Still though, it could easily be a trap or a decoy that the robot calculated for them. That was a risk they had to take though considering that there was no other evidence to go on here. The Yoshi knew nothing and they couldn’t go through the records to find anything since they were already wiped clean.

“Don’t you worry, you got the Chaotix on your side. Fighting robots in any situation is nothing new to us” the crocodile retorted with confidence to the teal lizard.

Vector passed by Hades as he allowed him to, head still jiving as his beats reached the epic climax of the long winded drum solo. “So, what you’re saying is I do all the hard work while you try to play ace attorney? Well then, I can tell already that this is going to be a fun assignment. Do you know where the park is?”

"Wait!" Toshi shouted after Vector and Hades. "I want to give you two this. It may prove helpful," Toshi said, pulling out some stone with a swirly etched into it tied around a rope like a necklace. "Uh, Vector can hold it," Toshi said, teleporting the medallion to Vector. "Its some relic from my tribe. It is said that it can be used to find out a person's deepest secrets. I have no idea how it works though. Maybe you can find that out as well. I think you understand why I want you to have it and not Hades," Toshi said. "You can return it to me after the trial... If all goes well... That's all I got, I believe you can do it," Toshi said, before going into the Police HQ.

Hades looked at the teal yoshi with a face of disappointment from its distrust. "If you don't trust your attorney, you arnt gonna leave prison very quickly."




With that, hades turned to the croc once more. "Of course i know where the park is. Where else do i eat the souls of birds?" Hades began making way to the park...Before teleporting away with a chuckle, making it seem like vector would need to make the walk there. Hades stepped into the park from his flaming portal of choir's, yawning. "Ah, the park. A real beauty this one is." Hades smiles, stepping on a ant hill and eating the lost souls as he awaited vector to figure out getting here.

Vector paused for a moment as the Yoshi attempted to grab their attention for one last briefing. He spoke of this strange amulet with magical properties to make someone reveal their deepest and most sacred of secrets. It was probably best to bestow it on someone who wasn’t the ruler of the underworld because Vector only knew this guy for a short time and knew already that he would abuse such an artifact quickly. Maybe it was labeling, but there was a reason he was the God of the dead.

Vector nodded at Toshi before they finally went to venture off toward the park. “Much obliged, we’ll return it as is don’t you worry” the reptilian comforted as he began to wander off with his ally. He closely examined the artifact, trying to figure out the mysteries behind it. Unfortunately it came from a universe he wasn’t familiar with, but he was somewhat researched in. There was only so much that a book could tell someone about the Mushroom Kingdom and this little bobble wasn’t anywhere in the texts he had read. Perhaps he could get it appraised by someone who once lived there. In the meantime, he should probably place it somewhere. He narrowed his chin to investigate his neck. Well, he didn’t want anything blocking his fabulous gold chain, so in his boot it went.

He heard his party member complain about not being trusted and he turned back with a sly grin. “Hey, don’t get jeal-“ he was about to finish before he noticed Hades had already ditched. Well, the reason that Vector asked where the park was located was due to the fact he had no idea himself. Now the only person who could guide him there was gone. It looks as though he was going to have to use his detective skills to track the place down. Either that or he’ll just have to ask a nearby civilian.

Give or take, about a quarter of an hour later Vector arrived at the scene of the crime. He spotted the chia pet and directed himself toward him, asking “so, what have you found out so far?” his voice had a bit of a long winded huff to it. He wouldn’t be all that surprised if the guy said nothing at all because as he stated before, this was like a group science project and he was the slacker who refused to do any of the work.

At the park was a Pichu with blue goggles looking around a tree with Yoshi lying dead by it. The Pichu looked almost as if it was studying the area. Upon Hades arrival, the Pichu looked in his direction. "Huh? Oh, just some spaghetti head," the Pichu said before returning to looking around the doornailed Yoshi as it were. The Pichu stopped looking after a bit, and began tapping his goggles. Talking Pokemon is a rarity, as most would know.

Hades scoffed at the pichu's comment of his hairdue. "Oh look, the joke character." He then stepped over to the murder scene, looking around and humming. "Well, introduction time i suppose. Im Hades, Lord of the underworld. But for the next few days, im also the lawyer of the underworld. Now, down to buisness!" Hades said, smiling as he crouched next to pichu. He wasn't about to complain about the body being left in the open state it was in, as it at least gave him a heads up on figuring everything out. "I would greatly appreciate it if you would tell me everything you know about the murder, and also some of the evidence from it would be a great help to bring the innocents to justice. and also give me a reason to yell out objection like a idiot like people in court tend to do."

Hades scoffed once vector finally arose. "Pfft, finally lizard lips. Seriously, i only have 7 in my dexterity stat and somehow i got here before you. Maybe you should make me part of your chaotix team. I can be the new purple freak of nature, or maybe the new mighty. Remember mighty? I wonder what happened to him."1d20

Vector arrived at the scene of the crime only to watch the seaweed monster make a mockery of his field of work. In addition to that, a bloody mess of a victim and a tiny talking Pichu. Well, either that or Hades was talking to a creature that couldn’t understand him, though given Hades’ demeanor he wouldn’t be all that surprised if that truly was the case. Hades did cover the basics when communicating to the little critter, so the crocodile had nothing more to add on.

Vector mostly ignored the ruler of the underworld, feeling as though that would be his best way in combating his… delightful nature during this entire outing. Unfortunately though the saurian has a big mouth and tended to speak his mind regardless of his mental restrictions and attempts at restraints. “You’d make a worse Chaotix member than Big” the crocodilian blurted out quite simply.

After that though, his comment toward Mighty was a bit out of nowhere. He worked with the guy, but he seemed more like one of Sonic’s friend than his. All things considered he didn’t have a lot of time to know him and after their outing with Eggman he sort of disappeared. Vector shrugged in response and added “Yeah, but what does he have to do with anything?” the crocodile questioned back in slight curiosity. More so half curiosity, he couldn’t care less if he actually answered. Vector was a bit more interested in the crime scene, though had a bit of muse for egging on Hades. Merely for his strange fascination with an armadillo he only met once in his life.
