The meeting point would be quite a trek even for normal standards as the location was high up in the mountain, on one of the tallest mountains in fact and fairly up there. Even flying at this altitude could be an issue with the thinner air and additional coldness. It's a big question how two magnazine reporters even made this hike. Still, they were on a part cliffside near a cave high up there. It would make sense someone would take shelter here if not for the training facility further up. Still, the magazine reporters seemed fairly confident she was up here.

"Brrrrr, it's really cold you know. Maybe we should of followed that trend of dressing for occasions like this like those Princesses and Mario," Famitsu stated, she wore a rather goofy getup with a giant lobster attached to her back... Was that her lunch or her weapon of choice? "A-a report waits for n-n-no weather. We need to focus on our j-j-j-jobs. With the Life Sphere Newspaper g-g-g-g-going out of b-b-b-b-business someone has to give them better n-n-n-n-news than that Bird girl. Let's recap on the s-s-s-stars of our article while we wait," Denegikiko replied, apparently somehow even colder than Famitsu was. She had her own strange weapon in the form of an oversized pen. "Right, our heroes are Shantae, a half-genie that transforms by dancing," Famitsu noted off. "Sounds promising to write about. The other one is a wind mage called Vatti? The scouts says he kind of dresses like that Link guy but purple and fancier... Also something about being a villain... Why did we hire him again?"

"I recall you saying he was pretty enough for some good pictures," Famitsu answered. "Oh yeah! That's right."

Throat of the World. A really fucking high mountain covered mostly in snow. Obviously such coldness is normally expected of such a place formerly known for having dragons flying about it. Yet right now the only thing flying in the direction of the peak is Vaati himself, in his small bat form of course. Of course the thinner air and coldness can be hard for most flying things...but not only does the wind mage have experience with flying around volcanoes but his use of wind magic might also help him against said cold breeze. "Why am I doing here again? Oh yeah, I need the money from the job to pay for food since Nino and Nina are devouring my stock...also doesn't hurt to collect this wyvern piece I've heard about..." went through the one eyed bat's mind as he flutters closer and closer before spotting the two, rather stupidly dressed, girls with a lobster and a pen. "They must be the ones paying for this-" he starts his descent towards them "-though I expected some old person, not a pair of children," dismissively goes through his mind as his chunky bat form morphs into his, much 'fancier', Hylian form. Effortlessly the wind mage lands on the mountain. "S-" the first step he takes Vaati slumps down as his leg gets stuck in the snow. Luckily it didn't take long for the pale skinned mage to get himself free...though his pride might be more damaged than anything else. "S-So you're the reporters...right?" Vaati quickly says, trying to distance himself from that incident as soon as possible.

Tho one thing that could be seen for a few miles was indeed snowcapped mountain, as though it was easy for a gigantic War Bird to see it as a disadvantage, but it's charge, being a half-genie, had managed to jump off after Wrench found the group, luckily Shantae was used to this weather but she would still take Tan Line Island and the Oubliette of Suffering any day.

"Look out below!" was the only warning the group was given, before the half-genie landed feet first in the snow, and her purple prehensile ponytail hair gave Vaati a good obscuring glimpse of just who he had wound up being partnered with on this mission.

"Looks like the group is all here, lets get this done so we can get a happy ending of sorts." Shantae said as she stood up.

The reporters ceased their conversing and looked over towards a man in purple and pale skin that was about to introduce himself... Just to get his foot stuck in the snow for a moment. Heh, they had to keep a note of that introduction in mind for the magazine. "That's right, we are the reporters that set up that request. We will save introductions for when our half-genie hero arrives," Denegikiko replied, fortunately they did not need to wait long for said genie girl to appear. "Great, we are all here. I am Famitsu and this is Dengikiko. We work for an up and coming Li Magazine. We hope you give us some exciting things to write about," Famitsu introduced. "And some nice photo opportunities too!" Dengikiko added. "We are reporters so we tend to stay out of the fight. We still can though so just call on me or Famitsu if either of you need help, alright?"

Tutorial!: Dengikiko and Famitsu will avoid joining in the fight normally. However, each of you can call one of them into the fight for 3 turns for them to activate their transformation. Doing this makes you unable to call on either of them afterwards for 3 turns. Do not overwork the reporters!

"Alright, with that out of the way, let's get going shall we? After you two," Famitsu added after an odd pause as she motioned to the cave. The insides of the cave were dark but a bit warmer than outside, if only a tiny bit. The cave seemed natural save for torches lighting up the way. There was sounds of dripping but nothing suspicious. The first big sign was an intersection consisting of three tunnels. Oddly, there was three torches aside each, each one a different color. The right one had a pink flame, the left one had a bright blue flame, and the middle had a purple flame. Otherwise, the darkness made each path fairly indistinct as the number of torches grew fewer. The reporters followed behind and waited to see which way the other two would take them.

Shantae would waste no time in dealing with leading the way forward and into the warmth of the cave, it was quite ironic that she would be exploring such a place despite having explored dungeons before in her realm.

"hrmmm... three passages and each adorned with a differently colored flame, splitting up the group would be out of the question so let us see which one of these pathways will lead us to the the main objective first?" Shantae said as she conjured a bright red fireball and held it aloft as she strode into the pathway adorned with the pink flame.

Perhaps the term 'late to the party' applied best to the kitsune on the move, but it had not stopped him from showing up. He ran like lightning, or at least gave his best impression of it! He moved with such pace and keyed in on a few facts that he knew of this himself. It was being interviewed last he heard of it, it had some pretty capable folks involved, and now it was going to be adding him to the mix. It was a cause for several things on his way up. Excitement for one, joined by the usual and expectant anxiousness at its side. As if a suitcase of butterflies in the stomach wasn't enough, he felt the cold of the mountain hitting his winter coat. Even with the extra thick tunic, cloak, and choice of a loincloth for the cover. An extra one he stitched just for such an occasion! It was of course quite windy, but nothing that he didn't trudge through on his way up. In truth, he rather liked mountains, there was always something thrilling about them on the way up. Perhaps the unsure or certain nature of it? There were any number of things on his mind now, but the one foremost: was making it there on time.

"Cold enough to freeze my poor tails to the bone..." he murmured softly while complaining to no one in particular, it was, after all just him on the path up.

Just when he thought that incline was finally evening out, he crossed what was for him, the steepest point yet. At least until he happened upon the group narrowly in the distance. This HAD to be them right? Who else was up on the mountain so cold for their something? Without thinking beyond this, the half kitsune waved rapidly and called to them as he closed the distance rapidly.

"Heeey there, so sorry I was late! I mean, here I am!" he said as he came to a skidding stop, his impressive momentum? Cut after a successful few moments of skidding, he hadn't thought much of his pace. Feeling it was slow especially since he hadn't gotten there sooner! Of course, he was in a nice way of just moving beyond this initial issue! It was time to introduce himself and to stop wasting other's times.

"I'm Arrow Rinehart, late to arrive, but happy to be here. It's a little nippy, isn't it?" his comment, almost silly at this point and yet he still was having a good time. Feeling joy that he'd made it and now, introduced himself to everyone present.

"Yeah, best not to split up when we are supposed to take notes on you guys," Denegekiko agreed as she watched Shantae's deductive process on which way was supposed to go. "The one with the pink flame, huh? What made you choose that? Have something for the color pink?" Famitsu asked the half-genie in review fashion as she went to follow after her down the path. "... You two go on ahead. I just got news that someone else was sent to help," Dengekiko said as she left Famitsu and Shantae to head down the path ahead of her.

Thankfully, it was not that long before Arrow showed up thankfully to help them out. "You must be that Arrow guy. Not bad, not bad at all..." Denegekiko greeted, looking him up and down... for some reason. "Well, yeah, it is the tallest mountain in all of Li. Nippy is an understatement. It makes Lowee look like a volcano. I'm Denegekiko, top tier editor and reporter," Denegekiko joked before turning to the path the others went. "The other two went ahead through the pink path. Come on," the reporter advised and made a bit of a quick pace down the pink flame path but not too quick as she did not exactly know how fast the fox was. "Oh right, while we catch up, I need you to give me an opening line for the article. Something eye catching but you," Denegekiko requested.

Meanwhile, a bit further in, Famitsu cheerfully followed Shantae. "I've never seen a half-genie before. You look pretty human. How does it feel?" the girl asked, clearly getting in some interview time while they walked. "Oh, and I need a great opening line from you for it as well. Really show them your personality and determination, okay?" the girl requested as they were coming across an opening.

"Hey! Get away from me you yucky monsters! I have magic taught to me by Mina!... I just have to.... Come on! Explosion! Shine!... EX Force Blizzard!.... Why is it not working? I don't feel any shares either..." a voice could be heard from inside the opening after Shantae answered, sounding like a small kid... Failing to use some magic from the sounds of it. Entering would show them a small girl in pink with a pen like staff. Surrounding her was a bunch of small leech like creatures that looked ready to pounce at a moment's notice. "Hey, Ram! Glad to see you hanging in there," Famitsu called out, getting the monster's attention away from her. "Huh? Oh, it's that girl that reported me and Rom! Fomatsu," Ram greeted... horribly mispronouncing the name. "It's Famitsu but close enough...." the reporter replied.

Thankfully, Arrow and Denegekiko would come just in time to help and stop the leech like monsters from attacking the girl... Well, Arrow anyway, the reporter won't help unless asked...

Shantae definitely had no clue what to think in terms of monsters that weren't from her world, but she did have some tactic up her sleeve, which ironically involved using that crimson Fireball in her hand, as she hurled it at one of the monsters with intent to scorch it.

Shantae then took out her flintlock pistol and fired at that same monster and another just in case.

Shantae would then move carefully to reach the youngster in a bid to help her out. "Are you alright? We're here to help you." the half-genie said as she got ready to attack the Monsters again.

Having caught sight of the reporter Denegekiko giving him a once over, the fox was fast to give her a light nod towards both her greeting and giving her an opening line. "Well if you need an opening line how's about 'Even before the Wind chills, helping hands know no bounds?' Pretty catchy, huh?" he was going for something that was trendy, but also sticking with just why they were here. The upbeat nature of the half kitsune, before the heavy winds and the snow had done little to halt his good nature. And whilst the pair traveled the path, he marched ahead with hopes of finding the souls they'd come to help. "Now then...I wonder where..-" his words fell short, as soon as his gaze met the sight of the leech-like beasts that were trying to attack the girl. "Hey you beasties, that's far enough!" the shout coming, even though he doubted they'd understand him. He was also doing this for the sake of announcing himself as help in general. "Don't worry, help is right here!"

Holding his hands out before him, the fox quickly gathered the blue-green embers within his palms, and whilst glaring at the Giggi nearest the girl, he did not hesitate in unleashing a small round of the quickly gathered foxfire within his hands. Sure enough the targets, he was less eager to get up close just yet, he was going to test their reaction to his first attack.
