Backstory: All of the juicy details that thou shalt read at their own leasure and discretion.
Appearance:
This form is only his default look, his second form is used for combat and his priest form is used as his human form.
History on Li:
In this realm as in real life, there is but one inevitability... Planet Li is peaceful enough and is brimming with life, but where there is life; Death must surely follow. And follow the grim reaper did, in his continued search for his Lord and master; Dracula, death came upon Planet Li and started looking for his master. During his search he came upon the discovery of Starvia infected monsters, though they did attack, they fell to death as his scythe culled their souls from their earthly husks, and continued his search, ever patient enough to make quick work of anything that impedes this endeavour.
Coming across the Life Sphere, death would decide to get comfortable with the exception that he was never in one place for very long unless it was to grant the souls of those who fell in battle their eternal rest, or giving them another chance at life which would leave those people indebted to him because of this. But in order to keep up this facade of seeming benevolence despite the fact that he was an immortal timeless concept that was a creature of chaos and evil, he literally needed to keep himself on his best behaviour. Death felt it to be his best course of action in order to find some way to resurrect Dracula, that and he also felt it nessicary to take a non-interference clause when it came to the affairs of mortals unless he himself personally got involved.
Luckily this non-interference clause also made certain that he kept himself busy in this regard, his vast knowledge of the dark arts and necromancy, as well as his nigh omnipotent level of knowledge on how a person has died would be a veritable boon to the life sphere.
Standard Attacks:
* Spinning Scythe[5% dmg, 100% mortal wound chance]: Death tosses his scythe and it spins around him, those caught in the attack will get hit and bleed out. STR
* Twin Sickles[2 consecutive hits, 4% dmg for both]: Death throws two Sickles at the opponent in a bid to catch them off guard, counts as a single action. STR
* Orb of Gahena[5% dmg, 100% freeze chance]: Death charges and fires off a black orb that freezes the target solid. WIS
Special Attacks:
* Deathly Hallow: Invisibility Cloak[0% dmg, 3 turn cooldown]: One of Death's more formidable abilities is to just straight up turn invisible without the use of technology or natural talent. For 2 turns, death shrouds himself in his cloak of invisibility and becomes invisible to normal and technological sight, only becoming visible if hit by magic. Opponents who rely on melee or technology must make a perception check of 13+ to be able to detect/attack Death whilst he is in this state, Death does get the option to attack attack while invisible but it guarantees that he will be very easily detected. Magic is guaranteed to brig Death out of this shroud at 100% accuracy regardless. Death Connot remain invisible forever and must dispel the shroud on the end of the second turn so he can re-energise it during the cooldown phase and be ready to use it at a later time in battle. WIS with three turn cooldown
* Deathscythe[20% dmg, 2 turn cooldown]: Death slashes the victim with his scythe... Hard, inflicting major damage, has massive knockback and a 2 turn cooldown. STR
* Dismiss effect[dispels ALL buffs, 0% dmg, uses 2 actions, four turn cooldown]: Death pulls off a fingersnap so loud that it startles anyone who hears it, any and all buffs sans invincibility are immediately dispeled if this move connects any cooldowns in effect continue as though the buff were still active. WIS with 4 turn cooldown
Final Smash:
The Gates of Hell{60% dmg}: Good luck trying to sleep at night because this attack is not only scary, but also the epitome of nightmare fuel on top of death being the king of causing this nightmare fuel to even begin with! Death summons the souls of the dead to literally grab his victim and hold them in place as though they were shackled by ghostly chains. Then an illusion of death walks towards them and vanishes to further confuse them, before suddenly reappearing to impale them through the chest with a broadsword and hoisting them into the air. As a final act of cruel irony, death then has his 'face' pop off and launch itself at the impaled victim to "swallow" their soul. Based on how the soul is swallowed, the gates of hell is through Death's jaws...
Other Information:
- Death is often associated with the concept of time because he is often fought at or near a clock tower.
- Death can never truly die, though Trophification will just inconvenience him.
- Death and the Japanese translation for the number 4 are phonetically similar.
- the Reapers from Kid Icarus and The Reaper from the Persona Series are merely entities in his likeness.
- should a character fall in battle against Death, he will comment on how the candle of their soul had been snuffed out, the only rare time that Death actually compliments his victims, as witnessed with Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia.
- Death shares the ability to levitate with Black Doom.
- Galamoth's minion the Time Reaper resembles the incarnation of Death from Castlevania: Lament of Innocence.
- no matter where one runs or hides, they cannot escape from Death, he will always find them no matter where they are, and is always an invisible force in real life, here in this RP it is simply his means of travel without being detected.
- While this isn't a Castlevania RP, this should be easy to discuss. The incarnation of Death in Lament of Innocence was completely immune to all sub-weapons used by the progenitor of the Belmont Clan; Leon Belmont. Not so here, as immunity moves were banned due to how they could potentially break the RP like a old Sega genesis or TurboDuo being dropped off a 40,000 story building.
