Character Name: Kelsey
Home Planet/Origin: Mega Man X
Preferred Motto: "All I ever wanted to do was study!"
Appearance:
Alignment: Lawful Good
History On Li: Kelsey found hrself stranded on Li after an investigation gone catastrophically weird. Now surrounded by a war that contained far more than mere mavericks, she took a time out to investigate the circumstances of Li's distress and her options for continuing her designated function, the protection of humanity. Though Li did not appear very friendly to her olde style laws and regulations, she vowed that she was one reploid who would not succumb to pressure. Someone had to represent the force around here. She was forced to idle for some time however, as Kelsey has been suffering from a mysterious malfunction that is preventing her from functioning at full capacity since she set foot on Li. Though she has since given up on trying to fix this malfunction before she begins fighting, Kelsey continues to hold out for missions that allow her to benefit the cause without sacrificing her ethics.
Storied History: Kelsey is an experiment in drawing out and utilizing the reploid spirit gone right. The product of an ambitious young professor-to-be named Edgar Emile Lamar, she is the first reploid of her kind. Her model number is listed as HER-0 or Hadou Enhanced Reploid Zero, hadou being the name of the primordial energy dwelling inside all reploids. For most of her early development, her ability to tap hadou was unstable and, in fact, for several years she was stuck as a civilian reploid because of this, serving her creator in her studies as a helper. After the breakthrough, however, she sought out the federation, her feeling of angst and inadequacy raw from her beta. Though her primary designation was the study and application of hadou, the rather impressive results of her research led to her being recruited into the federation both out of a desire to better the world and to study the effects of Hadou in the field.
Stats:
Primary Attacks(3):
Super Fists: Kelsey's fists are equipped with several bits of handy dandy technology to their benefit. For instance, Kelsey is capable of violently and literally throwing her punches, or perhaps more accurately her upper arms. Her fists turn into lethal cannon balls capable of chasing targets down and even grabbing things. The hands will attempt to return to Kelsey after impact. Additionally, Kelsey may activate shields on her forearms to reduce the damage she takes from attacks by 5% on that turn. Her arm-shields have a 3 turn cooldown.
Plasma Bubble Cannon: It's not a cannon per se, but it's uncanny outward resemblance to a buster cannon gave it the name. Kelsey's hand can retract into her arm, leaving her with an opening in her arm from which she can produce bubbles of mildly varying size filled plasma that pop on contact when any significant force is applied to them. These bubbles serve as dangerous obstacles Kelsey uses to control the battlefield, capable of obstructing enemies and causing nasty burns when popped. She and her allies may attempt to knock enemies into the bubbles with a successful attack. Does a flat 15% damage if popped by direct contact. Has a 30% chance of causing a burn.
Hadoken: Kelsey attacks the opponent by throwing concentrated fighting spirit. Takes the form of a single blast of blue'ish-white energy. Can be charged to perform the vacuum hadoken instead, which gives Kelsey's hadoken roll a +2 to its modifier but Kelsey suffers 3% damage in the process, even if the attack misses. People Kelsey loves are immune to this attack, and will instead receive a +2 to their next roll if they are the target of it. Has a 2 turn cooldown.
Special Attacks(3):
Awakened Kelsey: Kelsey's body is fully empowered by her hadou, a blue'ish-white aura emanating from her presence. She gains a +3 to her strength and wisdom stats for 3 turns. 3 turn cooldown.
Misogi: Kelsey slams a fist full of hadou into the ground, creating a small explosion of hadou in the immediate area around her. This attack does 1D20+5 damage if the target is directly beneath Kelsey or is being grappled. People Kelsey loves are immune to this attack
Kikonishi: Kelsey attempts to sense the latent hadou present in all sentient beings. This attack allows her to ignore conditions that limit her vision for the purposes of sensing allies/enemies. +4 Perception. Lasts 2 turns. 2 turn cooldown.
Ultimate Attack(1):
Annihilator Hadoken: An all out attack, this hadoken requires a state of murderous intent and takes the form of a torrent of projectile hadou shooting violently from Kelsey's hands. The attack lasts for a couple of seconds, allowing Kelsey to hit up to 3 enemies. Does supermassive damage, but Kelsey takes 20% damage in the process. If this attack is used on a loved one instead, it will refresh that character's use of their own ultimate attack instead of doing any damage.
Close Friends: Airis
Allies: Federation Forces
Rivals: None
Enemies Mavericks and criminals
Any Other Information: As a general rule of thumb, all of Kelsey's hadou related attacks are fully incapable of damaging a loved one regardless of context. This includes if that ally is actively trying to kill her. It also includes doppelgangers. If Kelsey is incapable of identifying a fake, it will be treated as real for the purposes of damage.
Strictly speaking, Kelsey has a serious opposition to attacking humans and feels obligated to protect them from anyone who does.
